The book is for PC so she does lectures with Mac so both platforms are covered.

This was my last semester at Mesa community, the last semester in general can be very stressful. She made my semester bearable. There was even a time I felt comfortable to confide in her and received compassion and a caring energy. You can tell she just wants all her students to succeed in the class and gives them every opportunity available.

Professor Anisia was my favorite professor over the spring semester. She is very engaging and knowledgeable regarding the content she teaches. She is extremely patient and an amazing mentor. She will take her time to make sure her students fully grasp the concepts taught in class. It was definitely a pleasure having her as an instructor!

Very easy to pass if you follow along in class. And tbh if you don't the assignment instructions are very detailed so even if you "miss" a lesson you can easily catch up. Very fair grading and helpful with questions.

Extremely patient, Clearly cares about her students. Doesn't seem to mind students talking over her during class which sometimes makes for a distracting learning environment. Other than this, this is a professor that wants her students to succeed and doesn't take herself to serious.

Not many professors genuinely care about their students, and I'm glad to say that Anisia indeed does. She wants you to succeed and will be available whenever you need her. Her class is a joy to take. She is hillarious and wicked smart.

Very understanding when it comes to turning in assignments. Would always go through the assignments with us which I think helped a lot. She also made help videos throughout the modules which came in handy.

She goes over class work with you which is nice since the book can be a little confusing sometimes. The class is meant to be worked on a windows computer but can be done on a mac. However, you cannot do it on a Chromebook. I'm sure someone who is really tech savvy could figure it out, but you get free access to windows in class and in the library.

Professor Whiting made the CIS 105 class an amazing experience. She is very interested in student success and she is passionate about what she teaches. I have a better knowledge of computers and important applications after taking this class. She has a great attitude and has a way of sharing her knowledge in interesting and applicable ways.

She is knowledgeable and knows the subject matter well. She takes time to explain various aspects of the lesson(s) and avails herself to students who need extra help. Her teaching style is open and spontaneous. She tries to simplify and break down the topic during lecture periods.

Anisia is an amazing professor, although the class is long, she makes it enjoyable with her carefree yet determined attitude. The content is a bit difficult at times, but as long as you pay attention, Anisia walks you through the whole thing and answers any questions along the way.

Professor Whiting was great. She understands everything she teaches very well. Her assignments aren't too complicated and if you show up to class she'll walk you through them. If you for whatever reason miss class then she has recorded videos where she gives step by step instructions on how to complete the assignments.

Professor Whiting was an amazing, understanding and communicative professor. Very understanding of situations and was available to communicate to all the time. She's very effective in her feedback to students and has you strive to be better not just with technology but also as a student.

Professor Whiting was a fun professor and gives a lot of grace for life circumstances, offers extra credit, and is an overall easy teacher if you participate in class. My only critique is sometimes assignment instructions are more rigorous than her actual requirements and sometimes from other professors within the department.

Professor Whiting is a great Professor. She is understanding and gives good instruction in person as to what is to be completed throughout the course. There are always clear criteria provided for assignments. I will say sometimes the instructions are unclear when trying to do the assignments yourself at home online.

Class is a little fast pasted

The class had lots of important material, including crucial life skills. I think the course needs more class sessions. The Professor is very passionate in helping the students learn but I felt that the pace was too fast, I wouldn't remember as much as I'd like. She is very understanding and wants you to succeed, just be willing to put in the work.

Course content isn't very exciting or particularly difficult. Lots of assignments, but she typically goes over them during class, so you won't need to dedicate that much time outside of class. Nothing to worry about since she gives you every opportunity to pass her class. I definitely recommend taking her class!

Prof Whiting assigns a good amount of hw but she gives lots of time to complete it and is completely fair you earn what you get in her class. She is dope and knows her stuff

there's a lot of hw/reading & some confusing jargon if you're not tech-savvy. lecture/assignments are a bit unexciting, assignments take some time, but they're easy. final project was also easy and fun since you could pick a topic you were actually interested in!

Professor Whiting did a great job when I was taking CIS105, Made all instructions extremely clear and would always include a video to go along with all homework so I could have an idea of what is needed to be done part by part. I took the online CIS105 class this semester. It was pretty great! A lot of discussions, and class was super good in terms of participation. I enjoyed the live online sessions, and she gives a lot of extra credit and leeway when you are struggling.

Very easy class. Doing the attendance quiz is mandatory but she makes everything easy to understand online so there's no need to show up if you don"t feel like it. I've taken two of her classes and both were very easy to understand and get an easy A if you just do the work.

Pretty easy class as long as you are present, participate and are on-time. Most assignments are in class and you don't really have constant homework other than packback, the end project and a few quizzes or application assignments here and there. She walks through how to use Microsoft 365, helps with understanding those tools.

Anisia Whiting is a great professor because she is passionate and confident with her lessons and how they are taught. I like how she will take time out of lecture to have 1 on 1 with certain students that may need more help to get them caught up. I recommend this class to other students that are interested in computers and cybersecurity.

Good teacher, probably one of the most flexible professors you will ever have in college, she will find a way to accommodate "there is no reason anyone shouldn't pass my class with an A as long as YOU reach out to me". she offers zoom hours, and if you ASK, she will accommodate even hours outside of that. if you allocate the time, you will pass.

In my opinion, I really think she is an amazing professor. She makes sure that you are on track and also helps with your grade so that you can be caught up on everything, and also this is one of my favorite class and I definitely learned a lot as well. Her humor is funny and it lightens up the mood and I like how she explains it step by step.

Really good teacher main thing for her class is show up and the attendance is just a word on the board you gotta enter on canvas, as long as you just follow along in class and ask for help when you missed a step then you dont gotta worry its not hard work. She will sit down with you and help you out, her late work gets turned in for full credit.

Super chill teacher. Most of the time just does the work with you. She tends to talk off topic, but nothing detrimental to class time.

Her Canvas page is very well organized. Everything is laid out by date and is easy to find, with clear instructions and grading criteria for all assignments. There are a lot of in class participation activity and she explains things well, stopping to re-explain any steps that students may miss while learning new computer systems.
