Very unclear when giving projects or work. Tests are based on nothing that was covered in class. Her notes are very sloppy and un-org.

shes very disorganized. is never in her office during office hours. VERY forgetful. i do NOT reccomend her.

She is very unorganized, not clear in directions, changes her mind frequently and her grading is whatever she feels at the moment, along with the test grades. On test very ambiguous questions.

If you take this class you are making a huge mistake. She doesn't teach, is very unclear,and basically expects her students to do the work for her. Seemed like a cool class, and with a good professor I'm sure it would be. If you want to waste a grand, take this class.

dont waste your time, she assigns pointless work that is not very relevant to the class, it is anth 101 all over again, she is NEVER in class and expects you to do everything yourself without any guidance on her part, i honestly think ive only seen her in class about 10 times this semester.BAD CLAS

The worst teacher ever! She makes things harder then they have to be, puts everything online, and doesn't come to class. The worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. She thinks she is smarter than she really is, but has no idea what she is talking about. Repeats herself a lot too.

Barrow is very unhelpful and insincere. She cancels numerous classes & does not go over the material that is on the exams. At first she comes off as being an interesting teacher, but by the middle of the semester she is unresponsive to questions & not willing to accomadate students needs.

Some teachers are bad and easy A's and some are soo bad you don't even know what's going on so it's impossible to do well. Barrow is the latter. She's friggin confusing and does not teach or give clear directions. DO NOT TAKE unless u want to drive urself nuts!!!

I can make no positive comments about her. Awful class, does not explain anything, and can care less about her students. I got nothing at all from this class. It made me dumber. She doesn't teach either, so be prepared to learn the material on your own. Don't torture yourself by taking this class!

I took her online class and she will not give a straight answer to anyone's questions. Her directions are unclear. She will not even respond to you to say whether she has received your work or not. I really regret taking this class with her.

I hear she used to be good. She has lost all her enthusiasm and rarley shows up for class and expects you to figure out how her class is suposed to work. If you want to learn something do not take here for any class

online class, supposed to be interesting, totally ruined the subject for me. i posted every day and got a's on all of the projects and got a b in the class. i busted my butt and learned nothing. readings are boring, books are useless. makes subject totally awful

Arrogant and rarely shows up for class yet she gives lengthy and ill-defined projects with very little help offered.

Real nice lady, but she's sooooooooooo vague with her assignments that it's impossible to do them. All tests are take-home essays. They're tricky and she isn't a fair grader. She requires attendance, but it's easy to leave class early. I don't recommend her.

I graduated with an Anthro degree from WPU. I had an AWFUL online experience with this prof. She was unclear, and not the slightest bit helpful. Overall, WPU has a great Anthro department. Just avoid her like the plague and take Gundling, Harris, Pollok, Villar, Pope, etc.

She is a ridiculously unorganized teacher. She targets students and makes them feel like they've done something wrong. Her grading is not fair and she won't explain what she's looking for.She might be book smart but her people stills are nonexistent. I recommend you stay as far away from her as you can. She is so vague. HORRIBLE AND RUDE TEACHER!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! Dumbest professor I have ever had. Took a four week online course.. it took her 9 days to answer 1 question. Very VAGUE. Never helps students and does NOT want to help. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!! She is ridiculous, unprofessional and lazy. She does not care about her students!

I've just begun to take Professor Barrow's class(myth and folklore in the modern world), but I already have a high dislike for her (fyi, this is an online and I have not even met her). She saved all the syllabi and course documents under word 07, and refuses to save it under 01 compatability. She is not a helpful professor at all, and feel ignored.

Taking her class is like buying a text book and doing everything yourself. She is not helpful or insightful. The only thing she does is grade the work. Though she may be "fair" in her grading-- it's simply b/c that's ALL she does. Never offers help, never goes beyond simple questions. Is not personable or approachable. Terrible professor, period.

ONLINE CLASS: She is not helpful and extremely unclear about assignments. She does not help, takes weeks to answer a question & sometimes does not answer at all. I do not understand why she is teaching? Horrible professor.

She is the worst most useless professor ever. She has no idea what shes doing in the class. Doesn't know how to teach. Doesn't even feel like coming in half the time. Grades harshly and teaches nothing. Waste of my money and i dont understand how shes still teaching.

This is the worst professor I have had yet. The content of the course is not challenging, but the ambiguity of the assignments makes the class a giant headache. The discuss. board q's were pointless. One is not even allowed to ask the prof. individual q's. This professor has no idea what she's doing. Taking her class = HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Took her online in the summer, not a terrible class but she was very unhelpful. Due dates unclear BB said one thing the syllabus said another for 1 assignment, refused to give me partial credit even tho it was her mistake on the date. got a B+

She does not know what she is doing. Ask a question about the homework, she tells you to ask the tech guys for Blackboard. Nothing is concise or clear, the syllabus is a bunch of images that tells nothing of what is going on. I do not understand how she is still teaching.

Try to avoid her if you can. I was supposed to have a wonderful professor and it changed last minute. She doesn't answer emails, instead of posting one clear syllabus she posts a new one every couple weeks and assigns group projects for an ONLINE class. Overall, unclear and not at all helpful.

DO NOT TAKE HER. She encourages you to ask questions, but she replies sarcastically. She has no idea how to use blackboard. She's very rude with her students, makes you feel stupid. Does not even use either textbook. I don't think I've ever seen a professor act so snarky or nasty! Very disappointed with this course.

Absolutely horrible. Every single day in class she would "go over the syllabus" and waste the entire class time then expected us to write papers on the subject. She is extremely unclear about what she wants and may be the most unorganized person ever. She never answers questions and believes she is too busy to answer her email. STAY AWAY!

Worst teacher ever.

Don't buy the books, never use them. She goes over the syllabus every week. Lots of confusing group projects and writing assignments. You need to attend class or you fail. She is crazy, made us watch a video of someone getting killed. Half the class left and reported her to the department and the dean. 3 hr long classes, but shes a great push over

she made us watch a video of someone getting stoned in class. we workd on the same thing for weeks on end, when it could be done in like an hour, the only thing she taught us was a few vocab words, like the meaning of anthropology.

I took her for an online class BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. She assigns 2 group projects for an online class which is nearly impossible because communication within the group is nearly impossible. Is not very clear with her assignments, she simply posts the syllabus and expects us to know what she wants us to do. Maybe taking her in person would be easier

This woman is everything wrong with American higher education. She must have gotten her degree at some 1-800 college because she seriously has no ability to teach anything.

First of all she is as unhelpful as teachers can get. You will never understand what she has assigned but she will go over the syllabus every single day. Not that it helps at all. Secondly she will assign these enormous "projects" and you'll never know when they are due. Thirdly MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT ON TIME! She will absolutely NOT take late work!

One of the worst professors! She is never clear on assignments, and will throw an assignment at the end of the semester right in your face. She is waiting for the absolute last day to post final grades. The only good thing about her was she would cancel class, but make us log onto Blackboard for attendance credit. This is the absolute worst teacher i have ever taken in my entire life. Does not email back ever! kicks students out of class if they use bathroom once in her 3 hour class. very rude, uneducated, doesnt know how to teach preschoolers! let alone college students. this is the perfect example of a horrible teacher that gets tenured and does even less.

Taking her class was the biggest mistake of my semester. She is rude, belittles students and doesn't let you go to the bathroom during her class. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Save yourself the headache.

Absolutely ridiculous amount of work. Over a half summer session, expect term papers, mandatory interviews with native Americans, 5 page mandatory discussion board posts, etc. Fully deserves her 2 star rating.

The Class is titled "Language Matters" but it clearly doesn't matter to her. Little to no communication with students. Projects & Assignments not always clear. Feedback she gives on assignments is useless. Honestly, I didn't learn anything and God knows I made an attempt. Avoid her and this class if you can.

She is awful. I took this course online thinking it would be easier but she has somehow made it hard. She posts a syllabus each week containing weeks 1-w.e week you're in. Her assignments make no sense and when you email she does not reply. She assigned an online group project!! WHY?! IDK. she is not CLEAR AT ALL. Don't take her.

I have never seen a worse professor in my life. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from her at all costs. She is so rude and disrespectful. She wont even answer your emails if your taking her online. Shes very unclear on instructions and constantly switches due dates. And asking her questions only makes things worse.

She gives random assignments and if you have a question about the assignment, she doesn't answer and she gets angry at you for asking it in the first place. She takes weeks to grade the assignments so you have no idea where you stand in the class. When she actually does answer one of your questions, her responses are rather rude.
