she is such a fair understanding teacher... I was worried about taking this class but she made such a dry subject become intresting and fun to learn.... Shes a wonderful fun teacher and FAIR!!!! I love her soo much.... I learned soooo much from her. you can tell shes a well rounded person very smart!!!!! take her u woun't regret it!!!!!!!!!!!

Ms. Leibowitz is a great teacher with alot of experience! She is a seasoned public speaker, and worked for many newspapers. The only reason that she is not well known at Suffolk is because she is new.Although the textbook is a very vital part of the class, you learn a lot from the pages that you read. Also, the projects are great, You won't regret!

Mrs. Leibowitz is a terrific professor who puts so much effort into making the class interesting. She uses lots of video examples and does lots of class activities. She shies away from boring lecturing and is very knowledgeable on a variety of subjects. I strongly recommend taking this required class with Mrs. Leibowitz.

Prof. Leibowitz is a great professor. she gives very little work, but the work she does give us is very easy. only 2-3 projects. she makes every class very easy to understand and stay awake. fun class to take and i highly recommend her. i thought i was goin to hate this class but it was my favorite class from that semester

Professor Leibowitz's class was one of my favorite at Suffolk. Not only does she not believe in tests but she is extremely understanding if you need to miss a class or make up an assignment. Professor Leiboitz is very fair and gives those who try the grade they deserve. One of my favorite professors, don't let her scare you on the first day!

She will trick you into thinking she is going to be a horror, but her class is one of my favs. She is pretty easy going and her lessons are interesting, especially the gender communication one. The speeches are fun and she knows what she's talking about and just trys to get you to better yourself. Definately take her.

Gives a ton of book work but she really is a sweet lady. She will scare you the first day of class but she's a softy. She expects your homeworks to be pages long so it might take a couple of hours but it's a pretty interesting class. There's also a speech and a project.

Outspoken opinionated woman who loves what she does. Will attempt to scare you the first day. Give's a lot of book work instead of tests, one project and one speech; which is pretty fair for a communications class. As long as you show effort and attend class you will do fine.

Overall she is a very nice lady. The grade you get is literally a reflection of your effort. What she asks of you is very fair just 14 Homeworks, No tests, 1 speech,and a project.You just discuss topics with the class. She is probably one of the few teachers that actually care about her students. Definitely the funnest class I had at Suffolk ever.

She is by far the best Prof. as Suffolk County Community College! She is very helpful. Comming from someone who is terrified to get up in front of the class and give a speech, she made me feel so comfortable! I wish I could have her for everything I take! She was great, she's funny and the class was NEVER boring. I learned a lot and i dreaded com101 i hate speeches but there was only 1 and it was easy. She's nice and makes class fun for everyone. Just do the HW its copying word for word from the text book so there's no reason not to. She makes everyone comfortable with everyone else too. :)

The first day of class she might come off a little mean, i wanted to drop it after the first class but i didn't and she turned out to be awesome. She is only mean the first day the rest of the semester was great, she tells it as it is, and isn't afraid to be completely honest with you. i recommend taking her! class is never boring :)

Show up to class, read the book, do the online assignments, do a resume, a project and one speech...there is no reason why you would not get an A. Surprisingly interesting and engaging, but with a "no nonsense" attitude about attendance and mandatory assignments. Provides VERY complete syllabus. Attend class and do the work and you'll have no problems.

Great Prof!Wasn't a fan of having to take Fresh. Sem. but learned so much culminating with how to write a resume. Don't know what the previous comment is about. She wants us to have the total college experience and we had the entire semester to go to any ONE social college activity for which we got 10pts. Impossible to fail if you did all the work.

Awesome teacher. As long as you show up (attendance is taking very serious!) and put in effort into all the assignments and do them on time, you should be fine. Teaches life lessons that helped me, if you don't pass this class it's because you didn't listen or do assignments. She doesn't really respond to emails if you ask annoying questions, and is somewhat strict but a very good teacher !

She was my FAVORITE professor this semester. She makes Intro to Communications fun! I feel comfortable speaking in front of the class. She assigns online quizzes and does NOT do tests in class. LOVE this professor! genuinely cares for her students! Online homework assignments are a breeze. She clearly lays out what she expects from you in the syllabus. COM101 is a textbook based course and there is homework, one speech at the end of the semester, and one project. Her lectures are fun and she tells great stories. I was a little nervous to take this class, but I would take COM105 just to take her again, even though I am not big on public speaking. Just do the online homework, turn in your resume and do the speech. She is extremely caring. We got to know each other and she is one of my favorite professors. I'm actually sad the semester is over.

she was amazing! hw due every week online based on text (simple). participation and attendance matters! no tests or final. just a final ABC project and final speech. end of the year party and gives your current grade whenever needed. lectures were interesting. sit in a circle around the room. talk about her grandson, Odan!!

Pretty good professor, considering the challenges of remote learning. You need the textbook as it has all the homework. You have to write a resume and do a powerpoint, and a speech at the end of the semester. She expects a lot of participation and will do breakout rooms pretty often. Super easy class my only complaint is she never gives due dates.
