I am in her anatomy class. She is great. You pretty much know what is going to be on the test. She makes things very clear and is always willing to help.
Dr. Moss is a smart woman! She knows her stuff!! Posts outlines, unrequired homework, and even practice exams on WebCT! Just go to class, take notes, study maybe 3 hours for the tests, and you're guaranteed an A!! Oh, and you will learn a lot too!!!

One of the best professors I have ever had! She explains the material very well. She is helpful and answers question thoroughly. Advise: go to class and take good notes.
Excellent teacher. Taking notes are a breeze, she writes everything on the board. She posts plenty of helpful material on webCT. Definitely take her.
Moss is an excellent professor. I wish all professors were this organized. She expects you to learn alot of material, but gives it to you in a great format. She is also very helpful.
Dr Moss is nice but I found her style a little dull She writes everything on the board. You do in, you sit and copy what she says, you leave. SNOOZE. Reminds me of high school. Even if you are interested in something she's teaching, you do't interrupt her! She's nice but too rigid.
Anatomy is way easier than physiology. Dr Moss gives great notes and takes tests directly from them. I haven't even opened book this semester have high A just go to class take her notes, study her notes for test. Great Prof!
Took her for Ana and Phys got A's in both with just studying the night before the tests. Easy class. You have to go to class (boring) in order to get the notes that she takes her tests straight from!
I took Dr. Moss for Anatomy and Physiology, loved the classes, her test follow exactly from her notes and the homework, if you do the homework and the practice test, you will do just fine in the class, you have to go to class, to get the notes. I am a nursing major, so I found all the lectures very interesting. She is a really nice professor.
Dr. Moss is an excellent professor. Her tests are based directly from the notes, and since anatomy is purely memorization, the class is easy.
terrible teacher who can never answer questions. luckily she takes her tests directly from her notes which she writes on the board word for word. all you have to do is get the notes from class and you will be fine. study the night before and you should have no problems. just dont expect answers to questions ppl ask during class
Great professor. i found anatomy to be a lot easier than physiology. i just studied the notes and made an A in both classes. you do not have to worry about buying the book unless you want to know more about the subject. there is some essay and extra credit points on the test.
Overall, easy class but you must get the notes and review them after class and you will have no problem. Do not wait until the night before to study. Three calm studying days before the test is fine. Book is needed if you are a visual learner, but other wise you could get a lot of the models and pictures from the internet!
dude!!!!!!!what is everyone talking about the class being easy....If time is not a luxury for you, do not take this class. She goes too fast and her exams are very detailed. As I said before, you need to give alot of time and effort. If you're a person who relies heavily on work to pay for school and bills, then don't take it with her!
She's not exactly easy nor extremely hard. If you know no one in the class, then attendence is a must. Reading helps, but not extremely important until the last half of the course.
I took both anat and phys in the same semester and highly recommend this approach as she ties them together simultaneously. I never used the text, she tests directly from the notes that she writes on the board so you must attend class. Very helpful, interesting lectures, but she can't answer questions deeper into the topic than she is teaching.
Dr. Moss is an amazing professor! I have taken her for both Anatomy and Physiology and made an A in both. Attendance is not absolutely necessary. It's possible to skip every now and then and just get the notes from a classmate on WebCT. The lectures are a bit dull, but then again, I'd imagine that it's challenging to liven up this type of subject.
Dr. Moss is awesome! If you go to class and take the notes she writes on the board, and study the homeworks and test that she post on webct, you are going to do awesome in her class. I totally recommend her to anyone!
She really knows her material which makes it so much easier to understand. I didn't go to class the last half of the semester and made A's. Everything comes from the book and notes on WebCT. I am very glad I took her and will be taking her for anatomy, I learned so much from her exams!
Dr. Moss' tests are mostly derived from her chapter outlines and notes. She uses the overhead projector quite frequently to appeal to the visual learner. She doesn't like when people talk during her lectures; otherwise, she is easygoing. Will offer assistance, upon request.
Dr. Moss is awsome. Best science classes at UTSA. Her lectures are interesting, and clear. Attedance is important, everything tested is in notes, I never opened the book. She is a great prof. and she really cares about her students
Dr. Moss is a excellent professor, her lectures are interesting. although it is alot of writing, study her notes and outlines and you will be fine. I manage to get an A in her anatomy class, hopefully in medical school it will help.
Dr. Moss is a great professor. I enjoyed going to her classes because she really knows her stuff and I learned a lot. It's true, you don't really have to read the book because most of her tests comes from her lecture notes.
you have to study for both her anatomy and physiology courses. she does not try to trick you , her tests are over her lectures and what she posts on webct. But you have to show up and take the notes and she does not like talking during lectures or low attendance. she is helpful so do not be afraid to ask for extra help she will give it
take another prof if you can! She post the powerpoints online after class but she still gets mad if you dont take notes during class even though she makes it almost impossible by speeding though all of it. Tends to add to the long list of things she already wants you to study for the test. I wish i had taken someone else! dont make the same mistake
Dr. Moss is a very good teacher. She posts tons of study guides, lecture notes, handouts, and practice exams on webct. She expects you to know a lot but is not super picky when it comes to exam questions...I don't understand why she didn't become an MD, she would have been great! Definitely take her for both Anat/physiol
Dr.Moss is awesome! Took her for physiology and anatomy and as long as you take notes over her power points she post online you will do great! she is very helpful she post handouts and practice exams!
Very easy teacher! Study her notes and you will get an A. Didn't even open the book. Love her she helps a lot but sometimes she doesn't know the answers to questions that aren't pertained to her notes.
Don't take her in the morning, this woman will put you to sleep. She reads straight from her Power Point slides, and posts them online. And if you ask her a question in class about something on her slides or general anatomy, she wont know. Im serious, out of 25 questions people asked, she knew maybe 2. But other than that, pretty easy class.
WORSE PROFESSSOR AT UTSA!!!she does not know how to answer questions. yes all she does is read from the slides but when theres 150+ slides on a test its not that easy.the only grades in the class are 4 test grades thats it. makes it real awkward when you try to see her in her office for help. take this class in a community college!
Absolutely marvelous professor. She lectures clearly and gets the point across. Her tests are 100% straight forward no trick questions and no material she did not cover in class. Tons of resources online to help you study like practice exams and homework with the answer keys. You have to study and know your material though, class is not a blow off
Don't bother with book, all you need to study are her slides. She provides practice material & tests (which is where extra credit on exams are drawn from.). Attendance isn't required but 5% of grade (iclickers) it's rigged so you can miss 25% of class & still get a 100. Hw 10%. All test questions are from her slides. She is awesome you WILL learn!
One of the worst professors I have had, is NOT understanding to situations that arise that are out of your control. Does not allow you to make up exams that you miss even if you have proper documentation. Says attendance is not mandatory but do NOT miss because it will effect your grade. I recommend taking this course at community college
I had Dr. Moss YEARS ago, for both Anatomy and Physiology. Her lectures and testing methodologies are very straightforward. Of course there is a lot of material, after all she is teaching a science course. She may not know extraneous information, but most people take this class just for allied health...so come on.
Dr. Moss is a great teacher. She is very smart and I think the class is interesting- but I like learning about anatomy. Daily iclicker Q's are a part of grade, 1st Q is attendance pt and she gives room for error/absences. She teaches you to think why and why not. Study, and go to class or you'll miss info. Will take physio with her in the future.
GO TO CLASS.iClicker is a decent part of your grade and will help with understanding. Moss is great!Sometimes she might not know answers to "deeper questions" but knows her stuff overall.Lectures (print out PP) can be boring or interesting, depends on the subj. Tests are easy, has XT credit, & you can turn in HW late(small deduction)Fairly easy A/B
BEST TEACHER EVER
Such a sweet woman. She tries to help you any way she can. The class is a bit hard because of all the material you have to memorize, but that's just how anatomy is. If you try and go to class for your iclicker points, you'll get a good grade.
sweet lady who knows her stuff! it's alot of material but she gives you all the tools you need to succeed. I've never had a professor who put so much effort into her class..Loved it!!
Dr. Moss is always prepared and always is available to answer students questions! The test are straight from her PowerPoints and homework is through Mastering A&P (not that difficult). Attendance in this class is mandatory.
She is fantastic! She provides homework and iClicker questions that are very helpful. She goes overboard with helpful study material on Blackboard. Grades are posted quickly. Her tests had questions that required you to think, but so will the medical field! I would definitely recommend Ms. Moss.
She's one of the best professors that I've had at UTSA. She gives plenty of opportunity to get the grade you desire and provides plenty of study material on blackboard as well as iClicker points. She is always on top of grades and emails. Extremely organized and knowledgable. If you have her as an option, TAKE HER!
Dr. Moss is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had at UTSA. She is always willing to help, she emails you back within a couple hours, and she makes it completely possible to get the grade that you want A. Go to class She does iClickers and often tells you about extra credit. Once you come out of this class you will know physiology.
Honestly, she is awesome! All of her test are from her power points! so basically all you have to do is study the slides and you'll be good. She is a very nice lady and seems to teach with a passion!
Dr. Moss is a great professor. She is willing to help with any questions and she's available in her office. She gives many Iclicker questions daily and TRUST this will help out your grade a LOT! You get points for just answering. Test questions are straight from her PowerPoint lectures and she offers essay questions for extra credit. Recommended!
Moss was a fair teacher. Teaches off power points but the tests I thought were difficult. Made a C but if I worked harder would have made a B. Have to work for the A. Uses Iclickers for attendance, Online HW every week. Would take her again. Overall a fair class. Oh and she's a nice person too.
Professor Moss is very knowledgable on the subjects she teaches and so ready to share that knowledge with her students. You do have to attend class to answer the iClicker questions and homework is weekly but not hard at all. The exams are not too bad if you study correctly and the final wasn't too bad either. Probably won't need the book.
Good prof. Very clear on what you need to know. Exam qs come straight from the ppt lectures. Daily I-clicker ?s, so come to class & pay attention. Do exam reviews, they are very helpful. Weekly online hw via mastering A&P. Extra credit on exams if you do the essay qs on the exams. Go over notes daily and study; you will be fine. Drops 1 test grade.
i absolutely loved Dr. Moss! Come to class everyday for iclicker points, it may save you at the end of the semester. Tests come straight from powerpoints, so if you study those you should be golden. Drops your lowest test grade and is no stranger to adding points back on a test for a most missed question. Highly recommended! Enjoyed having her!
This professor is the absolute worst. She doesn't know what she's talking about half the time, she will say something and then be like wait thats not right and then re say what she said for the past 10 min. Her tests are super obtuse, some of the time she doesn't get through all of her material so she just leaves things out, but doesn't tell you
Dr. Moss is a good prof. Lectures can drag a bit (lots of info), but are clear and informative. Her PPTs are very detailed, most test Qs comes from them. Lots of iClicker Qs each class for extra pts, so go to class and participate! Good at keeping students informed of progress on BB. Respectful of students in class and was pleasant to speak with.
Professor Moss offered two (easy) pieces of extra credit for one point on your final grade. There's no need to buy the $250 textbook (which, of course, I did) because she has all of the diagrams and whatnot on her powerpoint slides which her tests come directly from really. You do have Mastering A&P assignments online however. I loved this class!
Wonderful professor. Took for A&P 1. Must attend class for attendance and iclicker points. She posts the lecture slides online before class and lays out what iclicker questions will be asked during the class. Her tests are easy and come directly from her slides, not the book. Definitely taking her for A&P 2
She provides very detailed PowerPoints, which are the only thing you need to study for the tests. Attendance is MANDATORY b/c of clicker questions, but you can miss up to 4 classes. DO NOT take her 8am class if you know you won't make it every singe time. HW is kind of long but easy, test are not bad, there are 4 and a partially cumulative final.
I loved taking her class, but you really do have to attend. Although the PowerPoints are all you need to memorize for the exams, the I clicker is used during class so you have to show up to get a good grade on that. I don't know if she always does this, but I got exempt from the final! So only four tests in the class. Just google all HW questions!
Great professor! She is a good example of how professors should be, clean lectures, good amount of homework, posts powerpoints in a timely fashion, she even gives you a grade calculator for the final! Class was great and she clearly loves what she talk about! You really learn the material in this class.
If you like being on your phone in class then do not take her! She does iclicker questions everyday for attendance and they are not easy. If caught on your phone she takes away your iclicker credit for that day. Her tests are VERY hard, and if you do not study a week in advance you will not do good. Take Senseman. Power points super wordy/crazy
She enjoys being tricky with her questions. I do not recommend taking this class in the summer if you are taking 12 credit hrs. Very lecture heavy and based solely off powerpoint. Don't miss class- you won't pass. None of her iClicker questions are on her tests.
Love this teacher! I have her for A and P, and She's amazing. Love her lectures. Her tests are VERY challenging but I've learned so much from her. I feel like she loves her job and that shines through in her class!
Show up to class on time, do the homework, i-clicker questions (there's a lot!) and study for the exams using her power points and you will do fine. Here's a hint, if she spends 3 weeks on a topic, it's going to be on the exam! She's also very sweet and accessible outside of class as long as you make the trek to the biosciences building.
do not take 8ams.. that was my first mistake. attendance is very much mandatory. powerpoints are avg. 45-60 slides each; very lecture heavy. tests were hard. find old exams, they will make a HUGE difference. i would't take her again, because I don't like the way see teaches. iclickers are every day; A LOT! goodluck if you're expecting an A.
I enjoyed this class and felt it was easily passable. To do well on tests study the powerpoints and KNOW them. Do all homework and any chance for extra points. Try doing good on the first tests as i feel they get harder throughout the semester.
I loved Dr. Moss. The way she teaches is solid and her tests are very easy. If you've paid attention to what she stresses, the tests are a piece of cake. I made a solid A in this class. There is a lot of homework but its doable but the lectures can be kinda tough to get through but it is so worth it. I would take her again and I am.
Moss is awesome!!! I got an A in her class no problem. However, you still need to pay attention in class and read the lecture PPs. She explains everything that she is teaching and gives great examples. All you need to know is what you go over on the PP slides and that's it. If you get an A in the class, she might exempt you from taking the final :)
Dr. Moss is really good! Tests straight from powerpoints. She has iclickers everyday to be taken as attendance grade. She explains everything in detail and stresses the main things that will most likely be on the testl.
One of the best professors at UTSA. She actually teaches and is the best at her job. She fun, she makes the class interesting. She brings personal experience that shows that knowing the body has its benefits. I've learned so much from her, and I would take her class again if I could.
Do all of your work and study and her class will be easy. Tests are not hard but her Iclicker questions can be a bit confusing. Homework was not to difficult. Study Study. She is great and knowledgeable.
Professor Moss is probably the best professor I've had at UTSA. What she lectures on is on the test, and its straight to the point. She goes over powerpoints in class and all the material on the powerpoints are on the test. Her tests are not difficult if you study and the questions given are simple, she doesn't try to trick you.
Tests are not much like the power point Lots of detail She never cancels class and her clicker questions are so confusing Take senseman
This professor was better in previous semesters.. take sense man for ap 1 and 2 tests are hard and sooooo detailed and theres not extra credit
Professor Moss makes it pretty easy for you to make a good grade, just go to class and study the lectures before the tests. I highly recommend her.
Lectures are in depth, test are slightly above average, Finale is 1/3 cumulative & 2/3 from last chapters discussed. Homework assignments weekly, Q&A on pack back weekly, attendance is a grade so go! and iclicker points are in every lecture at least three questions throughout the lectures.
Gives extra credit hw, tests are from the lecture slides and she is easily reached outside of lecture for any questions/concerns. She is so smart and will teach you so much! She drops the lowest test grade out of 4 and does attendance clicker questions to help boost your grade. Its an easy A if you just attend class... don't be lazy!
Professor Moss is very lecture heavy and kinda boring. she has iclicker questions every class so its mandatory to go and she is unapproachable. I asked her where i could go to get some help and she told me with a straight face "I don't know"
It is 100% possible to get an A in her class! You just have to stay on top of the work and don't get lazy. Some tips, I recorded all of her lectures, never missed class, and learned every single one of her powerpoint slides. Her test are pretty easy if you just learn the slides and use the book as a helpful reference. Just don't get behind!
Professor Moss is very sweet and she does a good job at explaining difficult information. She assigns homework online but it's actually very helpful. She posts all the PowerPoints online so just look at those and they should help with the exams.
Iclicker everyday. Exams are based on powerpoints. Homework is easy. During exam days, she has assigned seating.
Do not take this professor at 8 in the morning. She does not give out extra credit and attendance is mandatory
Moss definitely makes you work for your grade, but this is a course you should care about anyways since it will be useful for everyone who needs to take it. Does iClicker questions every day. Does not provide a lot of extra credit. It is best to study a little everyday rather than cramming.
Shes not very good at translating info in a understable way. There are 4 test, she lets you drop your lowest test (except for final which is cumulative).asks alot of iclicker questions, some of them are kinda hard but managable, lets you drop 2 or 3 hw and iclicker grades. you really have to utilize mastering resources & pp slides if you want the A
Dr. Moss is an excellent instructor. You need to drink coffee to make it through her class because she is not very enthusiastic. The iclicker is very helpful because it helps you to review material. Some of the questions are really hard.
great person great teacher
She is a wonderful professor who works so hard to make sure her students understand the content. She deserves respect for all she does for her students and as long as you pay attention and know the powerpoints its a simple class.
I had her for both HA&P l & ll because of her teaching methodologies made it understandable. She is very respectful and a professional .
I have enjoyed this class all semestser. Professor Moss has provided great material for what is relevant to learn on my exams. I feel like she is enthusiastic about what she is teaching which helps a lot since Biology is not my best subject. I enjoy the class.
By far one of the best professors at UTSA. She presents the class material in a very organized manner and she strives to ensure all of her students actually understand the material. Her exams are tough, but easily doable if you are able to utilize power point slides and online homework. Always available to help and cares about your education.
Dr. Moss was a great professor. She went out of her way to make sure students had the materials we needed and that we were prepared for her tests. There are several 50-100 slide powerpoints that you must study in order to pass. Her tests are very specific, so you have to study quite a bit. Overall, she is very sweet & I would def recommend.
Dr. Moss is an amazing professor, she goes above and beyond her duties to prepare for her classes. She actually teaches how to use her anatomy and physiology in real life. her class was the best class i have ever taken at UTSA.
