interesting class, very kind teacher

Very easy tests!!! The first page,all the answers were A, second B and so on... I got 100%.

Sooo nice! Yes she uses her Power Point a lot.. but who doesn't like to get the notes word for word on paper which is exactly what the tests are based on! Very little assignments and no final!

Anita is SO nice! Fairly easy marker and tests are very easy if you look over your power point notes! Text material doesn't appear very often on tests

Anita is a very caring prof. Her students really matter to her. She is extremely understanding and she always makes time for her students. The class was interesting and the material was fairly simple. I would recommend this class to everyone!

Prof Anita VanWyk made this class enjoyable.She cared so much about her students she actually called students @ home during a snow storm to not attend class.She made you interested in the subject because of how eager she was to teach.Definately recommend for 1st year students not sure what to take.Easy tests as long as you do the work.

She's a really nice teacher! And the class is really easy, but also really boring. Your mark consists of a presentation+essay, midterm, final exam and a take home exam. People usually do good on the take home exam and presentation... she's a very easy essay marker as well. exams were esay! she gives you the answers before the exam!

Easiest prof you'll ever have. Spoon-feeds you everything you need to know. Don't use anything other than the notes she provides to study for exams. When she says MC is drawn from what she's given you, she means it word for word.

Such an easy course. Great teacher, can be boring at times but when is school not? Easy way to get your 3 credits and really not too hard.

Easiest class so far! She gives out the questions and answers to the exams. Super friendly too. One thing I would have appreciated though would be a little more class control. Many students spoke over her and with no resistance making hearing difficult.

At first I didn't know what sociology was. But I still don't know what it is but I still REALLY enjoyed this class and she is a very easy marker and is very friendly.

Anita is a really easy going prof. Her accent is quite thick so its hard to understand her but she most of what she says is on her powerpoints. There is a group presentation, a few small papers as well as 2 midterms with simple multiple choice and short answer and a final that is online as is only 10 questions. Take this class with her!

The easiest class with the nicest professor. for anyone wanting to boost gpa this is the class to do it. such an easy grader, hands marks out and just wants everyone to get an A! Besides that, I did actually learn a lot about sociology and it was fun and interesting.

Van Wyk is dedicated to the topic. Few simple but time consuming assignments. If you attend class and get the answer for 20 mc and 2-3 sa for each chapter that are potentially on the test and study them, you will pass. She didn't give questions she hadn't already reviewed. Can be hard to listen to lectures if you already know the content.

Anita is perhaps the easiest university prof you will ever come across. You print off the notes that she's made and she tells you EXACTLY what will be on the exam, and still kids complain it's too hard. Seriously?! It's laid out like a grade 2 class. Lots of guest speakers which are interesting. Anita is a great lady, don't take advantage of her!!

Anita is an awesome prof, her class made me decide to minor is sociology. Very clear on her expectations.

This was a great intro to soc class! If you study her notes they're the exact same as the test and everything is also online which is super helpful. It can be easy to fall back on work and miss something if you don't check to see what's due though.

Easiest class I've taken. Anita gives questions for exams, all you need to do is study answers. For the final she also gives the option of doing write-ups for 100% rather than a written exam! I wouldn't say I remember the content I learned, but my grade really helped my GPA. She is kind and approachable although lectures are somewhat dull.

Anita is the nicest and easiest prof you will meet at UFV! Absolute loved taking her class a great way to boost up your gpa! Exams super easy too!!

Anita is truly an inspiring professor. I have to say, I have never enjoyed a class outside of Biology so much and I enjoyed this one a lot , 90% because of her. She is interested in the material, she allows students to invite in guest speakers ( on their behalf of presenting) and promotes class discussion. Amazing class atmosphere :)

Anita is the best! She gives you the multiple choice, vocab and short answer questions that will be on your midterms, but to get the answers, you have to show up to class. There's one group project with a partner, and 2 assignments on top of that. Our class also had an option of dong a final assignment rather than the exam. Her lectures can be dry.

I love Anita. Her knowledge shows in her class and she teaches you exactly what you need to succeed in class. No guessing. She cares about her students and welcomes all opinions. She is excellent. Exams are multiple choice, and short answers and group projects. I wish she taught more classes as I would love to take a class with her again.

Anita was a ok, and I say that because she is great, but her assignments were unclear and the tests were not outlined well, a lot of guess work, thick accent made it harder. She gives you the answers for the exams but make sure you study them they're not 100% word for word but you need to know the info!! easy A if you show u and study a lot!!

Loved having Anita!! She really did want us to pass. Her quizzes were easy, because she pretty much gave us the answers prior to. This actually helped me learn the info better. Her classes seem to drag on, and sometimes she is hard to understand, but if you're looking for an easy laid back class, this is a good one.

This class is the best GPA booster you can take. Super easy, one quiz a week, one 200-500 word assignment every other week, 2 10 question midterms. Interesting material as well. Anita was super kind and caring and responded to my emails quickly and had marks posted ASAP. Great class and a great prof! 10/10 would recommend to anybody and everybody

Anita is one of the best professors for sociology at UFV . You dont need any textbook for this class. Submit your assignments that are worth 1% each on time and learn the slides which she provides in an easy format, you are going to rock this course. Quite easy than I expected. Very polite, caring, easy marker professor. 5/5 for her.

Very nice, feel bad for her because she didn't receive a lot of respect from the people in my class. Most talked, or skipped, or didn't do the presentations (which she said she won't make anyone do what they don't want to do). Extended the deadline for one of my papers, very thoughtful and caring thing to do. All lectures are online.

Gpa booster. lectures are dry. two midterms that are word for word the notes she gives you. one paper and one presentation but she's a super easy marker.

She's very nice but sometimes it's hard to understand what she's saying because of her accent. Small papers due every week but are just completion marks so don't stress about it. The group project was really fun and she was really easy going about it.

When you see her name, TAKE HER CLASS!! you're welcome! Her tests are easy enough if you read and understand her lectures and the assignments are also very easy. Although I said "easy" many times, you will still learn a lot from this course. I did!

Anita is probably the easiest prof you can get at UFV. Every week you need to complete an assignment which is usually 1 page long of your opinions on the subject. Be prepared to talk in front of the class becuz she makes you summarize what you wrote about and share your thoughts with the class. She gives all of the answers to the exams. Great prof!

Overall a good Professor and I would a course one more time.

Easiest class you will take in your life. The material is boring but it will be worth the A+. Minimal amount of work put in just make sure you study from her notes for the tests.

Anita is one of the best professors at the UFV. She works very hard to make sure students are not stressed about what is on the exam or not. She is very clear on exam content, quiz content and even made quizzes available to write online! To those who are saying she is "messed up" are extremely disgraceful especially since grades are not in yet.

Very good professor. She help us to achieve good grade and make guidelines straightforward to understand. I am international student and this course help me in writing, even despite English is my second language. Anita Ma'am was kind and very clear on how to get best grade in the course. I recommend her 10/10.

I loved this class, it was great to have discussion on real issues and matters with my classmates, offering multiple different perspectives and points of view on subject matters, including topics such as beauty standards, body image, artificial intelligence, and more. Midterm and final was easy if you studied well enough! Great class!
