Good points - helps you in lab, seems like a nice enough person, can take a joke sometimes. BAD points - goes through everything way too fast, gets mad if she thinks your question is stupid, and includes stuff on tests that she says won't be in them - and if you argue your grade, she doesn't care.

Great teacher! I had her for Bio 250 and 251. Good points-She is organized but flexible, compassionate, willing to take time and explain things, clear on what is needed from the student, and very knowledgable. Bad-Sometimes she does tend to go a little fast but will slow down if asked. Great teacher

Well Anatomy is a very hard subject. A few of her tests were ridiculously hard. Don't bother asking what specific muscles/bones you will have to identify on tests because she won't tell you. You'll have to study all of them which is ridiculous. And to top it off she's really picky on identification. She is a good person with a good sense of humor.

Although this class is expected to be challenging, Akkal did not help at all. The average on exams was never above a 65%. Even as a hybrid class, important topics should be reinforced when the class does meet which was rarely the case. She is not at all understanding when life happens - not accommodating and can be condescending. Take someone else.
