She is also listed as Anitha Ramaswamy.I am in the BIOL 1408 class right now and am enjoying it. I was not interested in Biology and took it just to satisfy my science credit requirement. But I am having so much fun and learning a lot. She uses a lot of teaching methods and is very helpful.

Fun class. Chose her if you are planning to take Biology. Very interesting class. We all enjoyed it.

She is very willing to help you if you want to be helped-- she gives great reviews for test before the test day, but strict of labs.

Mrs. Iyer is an amazing professor. She explains everything so well and she makes sure you understand whats going on. The material isn't very hard at all. If you study, you can make an A on every test. Theres a semester project, which in the beginning sounds hard, but once you get a hang of it its pretty simple. LOVE HER. I wish she taught evrythin!

I took this class before and FAILED. Then I took it with Iyer and she makes the material so much easier to understand (and the labs so less complicated!) SHE isn't EASY, but she doesn't load on unessential work. And she has a great personality. She makes a confusing subject much more clear.

She is a wonderful teacher. I took a nonmajors class as a requirement as an Education major. I walked out of the class as a Biology major. She gave me the confidence I needed to confidently change my major. I wish that she could teach me all the science classes I need!

Mrs. Iyer is a very helpful teacher! she is very helpful when it comes to questions and understanding when people are not able to make it to class. She provides many resources for students to help them study for the tests and makes the lessons fun! there are only 2 projects throughout the year and doesnt take a lot of time to do them.

Professor Iyer is hands down one of the best professors I have had thus far at LSC. She is very knowledgable about the subject and only teaches information that is useful and that she will apply to tests. She provides alot of fun ways to learn (group activities, in class discussions, pre and post tests) I will be taking her for 1409. I made an A+.

I have always struggled with Biology, and was very nervous when I started this course. I thought that maybe I could have a chance and pass by barely with a C. Mrs. Iyer is amazing. I was able to understand the material, know what I had to know, she only gives you the absolute details that are crucial and I gratefully passed with a B+!

She is so sweet, and really cares about her students. You will go to lab AND lecture every class period! Print out the chapter reviews on the book website to follow along during lectures, and you will ace this class. Group labs, but no group projects. Tests cover 2-4 chapters, and final exam is NOT cumulative. Would be silly not to take her!!!

Best professor at Montgomery. Very prompt with emails and feedback. The videos and lecture examples are what made the class interesting for me. I hope to take her for 1409.

You will need to be there for the labs. Ask her if they will be graded if you plan on missing. She is an exceptional teacher, I enjoyed her lectures and really got interested in Biology in this class. Very clear about exam material. I would absolutely take class from her again. She is understanding and will go out of her way to help her students.

I am AWFUL at science. She is the best science professor I have ever had. She is clear and her love for Biology really shows through her teaching. You have fill in powerpoints for notes, best thing ever. Her tests aren't that tough, but you need to study. The labs are easy too! She is overall an exceptional teacher!

She wants her students to succeed not only in her classroom, but outside as well. I was devastated when she was not teaching 1409. I am waiting to take her in the fall.

I don't think I've had so much fun in a class in a long time! Mrs. Iyer is helpful, clear, and funny. She understands if you can't make it to class, and will give you an opportunity to catch up. She encourages you to come to class. I found myself actually looking forward to class! 10/10! Expect to do a presentation at the end of the course.

I am not a Biology major (my last Biology class was 20 years ago!) and I was hesitant in taking this class. But Prof. Iyer is very helpful. She was patient with my questions and the class atmosphere was always upbeat. Take her if you need to take Biology. I am going to register for her 1409 class.

Study the notes for tests, they're reworded so know the material. Projects are interesting and the 2nd one is easy and fun. She does give some extra credit.

Professor Iyer's class is fun and educational. She uploads fill-in-the-blank notes, which follow her powerpoints. Bringing these to class will make your life easier. She offers 5 points of extra credit on each exam. The labs require work but are interesting. I'm not good at science, but her abundant examples make it feel easier. Take her class!

She likes participation & has people working in groups for small things/labs. Makes it fun though and it helps create a comfortable environment. Plus it helped us learn to work and study together

She is absolutely fantastic! Lectures are interesting and engaging, labs are fun. 2 small projects, usually have to do prelab questions before class but it's easy. Exams are easy if you just read the notes and the chapter in the book before. A lot of EC! You don't have to but get the accesscode only, you'll have the book online + get study quizzes.

I am horrible at Biology and I passed this class with an A. Print the powerpoints she has online and bring them to class to fill in the blank. I studied for two days for about 3 hours each day before each exam and passed the tests with 97-99's. She explains things very well and will go into more detail if anybody is confused. TAKE HER.

Prof. Iyer was AMAZING!!! I had several friends recommend her, so I took her for 1407. I was able to get a spot in her 1409 class!! 5 tests, 2 projects (easy A), and a few group quizzes along with the labs. Sounds like a lot of work, but she spreads it out so you never feel overwhelmed. She puts her ppts online, and she covers material well.

LOVE HER! 1409 is not as interesting as 1408, but she makes it just as fun to learn. 4 tests+final are not too hard if you go over the PowerPoints she gives on d2l. Some small papers but they're easy. Would love for her to teach all my classes!!

Prof. Iyer is such great teacher. She has a clear guideline for the tests and the formats are all the same. She clearly goes over all of the material with you in class and really helps you relate so you can remember it. She is so passionate about what she does that it shines through in her lectures and labs. I would take her 100 more times.

Professor Iyer is awesome! I am not good at science but I easily got an A in her class. She is great at explaining concepts and relating it to other things that make it easier to understand. She offers 5 extra credit points for going to campus events through the semester and she offers 5 extra credit points per test too. Easy A with minimal effort.
