Refuses to answer students questions.

This is the most ridiculous teacher that I have ever taken.. she didnt even show up for the last day to review for our final.. the whole class got horrible grades. the book is useless. things were on the test that she didnt mention nor were in the book.. DO NOT TAKE HER!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT FOREVER!!!

Worst teacher in UM, and Im saying this even though I got an A in the class. She literally decides not to answer any questions, and never actually explains the concept of what she's teaching, only teaches were to plug in what numbers without knowing what they mean. Grades test on what she thinks ant not on the actual answers. Take to waste money.

I can't stand this woman. If you're looking to pass, then you'll be fine, but this class is AWFUL. I can't understand her and I'm constantly looking at the clock for the class to be over. No homework, but it doesn't matter because she wouldn't even go over it anyways. You get cheat sheets for tests, which is good because without them I would fail.

She is probably the worst teacher at this entire school. She is hard to understand and refuses to answer questions. She just yells at the students and says "it's straight forward" and "how don't you know this". She is impossible to get in touch with and will never respond to your emails. She is extremely rude and I would never recommend taking her.

Very poorly organized, little understanding, extremely hard to understand lectures. overall a very poorly tought class! DO NOT RECOMMEND at all!!!!

She is super rude to her student. do not try to ask questions in class! She is a tough grader even she curve the class. You can get a better grade with other Mas professor. She is unclear about everything. Trust me DO NOT TAKE HER and you will have a great life!

I wish I hasd something good to say about this professor, but honestly, I don't. she was the worst professor I've ever had, you need a 93 to skip the final and I watched her make a girl who had a 92.6 have to take the exam. She is the MOST UNHELPFUL Professor. I cannot express how I feel like i wasted thousands of dollars on this course at UM...

My biggest complaint with Professor Joseph is that she is the type of person to get angry and frustrated when you ask a question in class, rather than actually helping her students to understand the material. Material was taught in an extremely boring manner, and she was unbelievably unhelpful at office hours.

STAY AWAY! I have never taken such a terrible professor. She would get mad when someone asked her how to do a problem. First day of class I asked her a question and she responded "I am not a personal tutor, I am teacher for everyone". She would write down her lecture notes on the board super quickly only to erase it 5 seconds later. DO NOT TAKE HER

Avoid taking Anito Joseph's class especially if you have never taken statistics before. She is incredibly unhelpful, does not like to repeat things, and does not care if her students are understanding the material. Her class consists of her reading off of her notes verbatim and she does not engage with her students at all.

This class was probably one of the most difficult classes I've taken so far. Her lectures are extremely boring. There is no HW, projects, or any form of extra credit. If you don't do well on the exams or quizzes you're going to fail. Also when asking questions she is dismissive and I asked a question and she told me I should've paid more attention.

Professor Joseph is unresponsive to emails, makes commitments to classes that she refuses to uphold, and is not willing to work with students outside of office hours. I would stay as far away as possible.

Stay away! She does not explain anything. She does not respond to questions in class and emails. When you ask her a question she will make you feel stupid. Her tests are different than practice quizzes. You never know with her, you need to predict everything. Do not take her or you will have the most frustrating semester

Anito Joseph has a thick accent, which makes her very hard to understand, is the CEO of repeatedly saying "Alright?" between her reading powerpoints word for word. The class was made up of only quizzes and tests, and if you ask any question at all she will make you feel stupid. If you're stuck with her, be ready to teach yourself the material.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Worst teacher I've had in my life. Literally has no logic. Grades disgustingly. Doesn't give students chance to talk about previous exams. Her exams and their format is nasty just like her.

I dropped the class halfway through the semester because this professor is impossible to understand. Best decision of my life. I think I understood statistics better before taking her class. I'm utterly shocked that UM hasn't fired her. I wouldn't let her sweep the classroom floor, much less teach a class.

Class was a nightmare. If you have no prior knowledge of stats definitely skip this professor. Her lectures consist of her reading off notes and then yelling at students for not understanding. The only positive about this professor is that her curve is insane. Only reason I passed.

She is dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. If you want to keep your mental health intact, stay away from her. Avoid her like the PLAGUE. Not only boring, but extremely rude, strict, and should be fired. I have no idea why she hasn't been fired yet. Worst experience ever and I'm only in the forth week of this course.

Professor Joseph does not comply with ODS accommodations and she give two days notice for exams. She is a terrible teacher who just reads over slides. Also anytime you ask her a question she answers as if it was the dumbest question she has ever heard. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

She is easily the worst teacher I have ever had. She does not care if you do all the right work and then put the wrong answer you'll get no credit. She yells if you ask a question. NEVER take this teacher. Tough grader, doesn't let you see what you got wrong and why, and so confusing. I don't know how she is still working at this school.

Just don't take her class. If you took AP Stats in high school and don't need to learn anything you will be fine. If you want to learn anything you won't. No extra help. Hard to communicate with her. Doesn't answer emails. Gives opportunity to boost grade with final but you'll have to teach yourself everything or re-watch confusing lectures.

Do not take this class unless you are a statistic genius. This lady will call you out if she sees you writing notes. Also she is quite literally incompetent and does not know how to run a classroom.

so boring legit will give you a quiz on a chapter and then talk for the entire class about a completely different subject. Very difficult to understand and provide 0 helpful feedback. If you take this class you better either know some of the material from AP Stats or you gotta be ready to do it all yourself.

The worst professor I have ever had in my life. Not even nice. If I begin to ask a question she never lets me finish and gives me an answer that is just not what I was trying to ask. Very unproductive and inefficient. She doesn't stop talking and is hard to understand. I go to tutoring two times a week just to survive.

Do not take her at all! I had no choice but to take her class and hated every moment of it. She is known in the counseling department for how bad she is, did not even have to say her name before they knew who I was talking about. She has a thick accent which is hard to understand. Tests are very hard, I had a D which was scaled to a B-

During an exchange she raised her voice which I found extremely off-putting and unprofessional. Students who miss an exam because of covid should be allowed to make up the missing exam. They especially should not be spoken to like a child when trying to talk about the issue. Lectures are insanely boring and unhelpful. Extremely horrible experience.

Up to the first test, the class is completely brain dead easy stuff you learned when you were 10. On a random day it will just become difficult. Her lectures are really long and she's not really nice either. Rarely we get any practice problems besides pop quizzes that eventually just stop. Tests are worth a ton and are oddly difficult. Worst math professor I ever had. Unclear super thick accent with constant mumbling, doesn't care at all about her students and is inaccessible outside of class. Disrespectful and talks down on students who ask questions during her lectures, while her class consists of her reading her sloppy notes word for word. Terrible, avoid if at all possible.

Extremely rude and disrespectful to students. Not great at explaining concepts and does not know how to use a computer. She snaps at kids in class on a regular basis for asking simple questions. Don't know how she ever got a job here. The content of the class is not difficult, you're better off learning on your own and just going for tests.

Refuses to answer questions, very condescending and rude, often talks down to students. Formula sheets for every test that tell you exactly what to do. Also, she does not post grades online and if you ask her to she will get mad cause she is old-fashioned. She did not know how to use zoom and canceled class over the hurricane. Similar to AP Stats.

Avoid her at all costs. She's impossible to reach and wont ever answer your emails. Her classes are so boring and hard to stay focused in. She's always in a bad mood and never wants to help her students. Gets mad if you ask questions and just couldn't care less about her students. her exams are always 10x harder than the quiz.

No homework in the class, but quizzes almost every week. Two exams and a final which she grades very strictly if you don't use her exact formula and she will give little credit for the correct answer. Took AP stat in hs and got an A in the class and 5 on the exam, and would consider this class more tedious.

I will say, if your grade is above an A- at the end of the semester, you don't have to take the final. However, she's so mean, and is extremely condescending if you ask questions. The class is really not that hard, but if you struggle with math and want a supportive professor, avoid her at all costs.

I ignored the ratings for her and it is my biggest regret. She takes points off randomly and even if you get the right answer she won't give you points.

She is the most miserable human and does not want her students to do well. The most boring lectures ever, and you learn nothing she just reads straight through. Absolutely terrible. So unfair, rude, disorganized and does not care about her students. Zero guidance on what will be on quizzes/exams and usually looks nothing like the class notes, feels like she wants to trip you up on purpose. I can't believe the school hasn't done anything.

She is the worst professor I've ever had. I saw the negative reviews before enrolling and ignored them, and I immediately regretted it. This class is unbelievably disorganized, poorly taught, and frustrating from start to finish. DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS CLASS THIS CLASS TANKED MY GPA. I had Straight A's this semester and she gave everyone a bad grade

I have never had a professor who cared so little about their students. Takes points off for whatever she wants. Extremely unhelpful and rude when you ask questions, and wants things done her specific way, so tutors can't even help that much. Literally skip a semester of math over taking her for this course. Save yourself.
