Took him for 01&02 He's really nice, super helpful, & he's always joking around.If you show up to each class & trn in your essays, you'll have no problem passing his class. You do group assignments in class that go along with his lecture, but they are always fun &easy. He grades hard on the essays but you have an opportunity to revise.Def take him.

I don't usually enjoy English, but I really did like this class. Don't write your papers the night before because he grades off of your ideas and how developed they are. The final presentation is a group effort, we used sock puppets and got an A. Tells jokes so corny they're funny. This is my definite recommendation to take his class.

If you choose Mr.Gonzalez as your professor, you're in for a whole semester of laughter. He's a great teacher, and relates the material to your everyday life. I have to say, this professor was excellent in every which way, shape or form. His directions are crystal clear, he expects nothing but the best out of you, but is there to help when you need it. He can grade hard, but in the end, the effort you give is what you will receive. I had a great team. I would highly recommend this professor.

He is such a great teacher! His lessons are NEVER boring! They are always interesting. Depending on what class you take he actively includes Mexican American Subjects. My goodness, take his class. It was so easy that I wish I could take it over and over again to earn some credits.I am absolutely terrible at English but managed to get an A in his class. We only used the textbook twice the entire semester, which is a giant thumbs up. He is also a very likable person and is easy to relate to.

Professor Gonzalez had the online class structured and laid out well. There are 2 discussions and 2 assignments every week. 3 essays. You have to read to do them. By far one of my favorite teachers at Northwest Vista, I really recommend him for anyone who needs to take English Composition 1301 or English Composition 1302 if he's available for that semester. He cares so much and respects everyone, he loves telling stories and he always gives you good feeback . I miss his teaching because I learned so much.

I really loved this class because Mr. Gonzalez wants to know what the students think so as long as you do the word length and know a good amount of what you are talking about, you will get an A on your papers. He is pretty funny & The readings were fair & actually interesting compared to a lot of my other courses.

Great professor. He is so funny! He really brings out the fun in literature and assigns interesting and funny stories. No tests, just a few essays. Every week we read a new book, submitted a one page assignment and a discussion. I would definitely take him again, he makes it possible to get a great grade and also brings literature alive.

If you're well read and a good writer going in, then 2332 with Gonzalez is a breeze. His writing skills are shockingly bad, but he's a funny guy and a fair grader. He assigns a good deal of reading, and quite a lot of writing, so make sure you manage your time to crank out several hundred words a week before taking this class, else you'll fail.

He's so nice! All of the readings are interesting and the discussions are engaging but still very easy. He grades easily on the discussions and the assignments. He does grade harder on the essay's but nothing crazy so just make sure your grammar and format are correct! This class does require a lot of writing but he makes it easy!

I took his online class over the summer that lasted 5 weeks. All of the material was crammed into a short amount of time, but he was VERY organized about deadlines and instructions for each assignment. There's a lot of discussion posts so it's crucial to be able to have logical conversations with your classmates. Just do the work and you'll pass!

Highly recommend this professor. Very interesting readings chosen for our homework and discussions. I'd say this has been my favorite English class so far and I took it online! Gonzalez is a great professor. He gives a lot of feedback and gives you an extra week to turn in assignments, with point deduction of 15. He was great and cares a lot about his class, but it is really hard to keep tract of this class if it's online. Lit is my worst subject, so world lit was extra difficult to do, especially as a business major.

I took his Summer 1- 5 week class, and he is amazing. Honestly made me like writing essays more. There are discussion which are not hard. There have been 3 essays and they were very well paced through the semester. He gives a lot of time to complete assignments and is very understanding if something may not work. Also he replies to emails well!

Professor Gonzales is amazing. I took a 5 week composition I class online. Prof Gonzales is GREAT about providing feedback and is always willing to help you. He also responds to emails fairly quickly. There are extra credit opportunities. I will say you have to put in the work for his classes but I highly recommend him!

Professor Gonzalez is an awesome cool professor on zoom and I'm certain in a class setting. He explains our assignments very clearly and makes certain you understand before you begin. Have questions he is quick to respond. Class was never boring, always looked forward to attending. If you pay attention, ask questions, read and research, easy A.

Took Professor G for both English classes. 1301 online zoom Spring 21/ 1302 online Fall 21. A++ professor, highly recommend. Expect to write a lot this is English! No quizzes/no tests. Finals is a PowerPoint presentation in both. Zoom classes are much better than online but both are good.

Took 8wk flex. Total of 3 papers and a variety of social subjects covered. He gave excellent feedback on each paper and how you can improve and lets you send in a revision for each. Skim most readings, do the work, and reply to all discussions and 3 student comments, and take advantage of the time it takes to write each essay and you'll get an A.

He is a fantastic professor. I would advise turning in assignments on time because he does deduct points for late work! He interacts with everyone in the class, gives clear instructions, and provides examples. He assigns three essays and at the end of the semester, he lets you revise them and resubmit them for more points.

This class was mostly about watching films and then analyzing them after. Each week there is a discussion post and a one-page response to complete and he always provides enough notes for each module. He allows assignment responses up to one week late and offers extra credit for the major essays. Other than that, he is a very good instructor.

I took this class in Spring 2023. The course material was very easy to follow. We go over a lot of essay structure, and it's helpful because he tells you exactly how to write the essay and shows plenty of examples. He was very accommodating to my anxiety issues and offered lots of support when I struggled. 10/10!

Very sweet professor. Took the full semester 16 week course online, 3 papers and an annotated bibliography. Gives helpful pointers and comments on essays. Sometimes makes jokes. Allows you to revise all essays at the end of the semester for extra credit.

He was a great teacher. I had not been in school in over 20yrs so he made everything really easy to understand. If you have question on anything he is very responsive. As long as you do all your assignments and read his instructions the class isn't hard. He will offer extra credit on the last week to push your grade up.
