VERY helpful. She will talk to you about everything from society to Calculus. Geometry with her is a breeze to get through, and she keeps it interesting. Even for her harder classes, she's always available to see to it that you do well.

Great teacher. If you go to class you should do well. Her notes are clear and concise and you will know whats expected of you. Best teacher I have ever had. And her style is impecable. Can't expect anything dif from a college math teacher thats that cool!

I'm an English major and this is by far my favorite class this semester. Take Geo as a math elective for a great time and you'll actually understand what is going on. Tests are challenging but test exactly what is taught and emphasized. TAKE ANKE, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

She is the best. Always willing to work with you. She cares about the student and how well you do in class, she wants to help you get throught it. She is very funny and she like to have fun. She also makes her class very interesting it is not always her standing in front of the room.

Probably the best math professor at Kutztown. Synthetic Geometry is pretty ridiculous, but she'll help you get an A. Quizes and tests are very easy and are all on what you learned. I LOVE HER.

This lady is a great teacher. She made everything easy to understand and her tests are easy, the quizzes are three times easier... and shes very spontaneous... expect to be let out of class early at LEAST a few times because she is the greatest

Anke is awesome! She makes the classroom atmosphere very relaxed. We do a lot of drawings which I found kinda fun, quizzes are easy, and the occassional projects are pretty easy too. Very willing to help if your struggling to understand something. If you prefer boring, traditional, by-the-book profs., she's not for you. Highly recommended!

Anke: Kittens are lot more interesting than your average sock. This professor is by far the most helpful! She will do anything to help you succeed and even though you are mad at the world for being up so early she can't help but make you smile. If you are negative about Math take Anke! You will not have a single regret. You can leave early too

Easily one of the best math teachers around. This woman understands how to relay the concepts, logic, and pattern recognition necessary for real mathematicians to survive. Her course actually required THINKING, which is a pleasant change from the "see this algorithm? good. now grind away at this problem set." format of the Calculus ilk.

if you need to take geometry i recommend her.. she's a really good prof. and she makes class fun and interesting. i love math, except geometry.. she made it so easy.. take her!

extremely easy class, quiz every week but i got 100 on all so just come to class and you will be fine...laid back class, can talk throughout with your group. she is very good at complimenting and make you feel like you are doing well.

Anke is GREAT! Hilarious and just fun to talk with about anything. Extremely helpful, but I must emphasize that the nature of Synthetic Geometry is generally difficult. Out of all math profs though, she will be the one to get you through it. Curses a LOT, so if you find that offensive, not a good choice. Most find it hilarious though...

She is very layed back...there is no textbook which is awesome. She doesn't take attendance. This class is pretty easy just make sure you understand what you are doing and look over your notes because it is a lot of geometry constructions. Overall, she is funny and intersting.

She is a really good professor. Kinda crazy, but shes very nice. She assigns homework but it isnt mandatory. She gives weekly quizes but they are easy. We had 3 tests and a final. I'd say take her.

I LOVE ANKE! She is amazing! She is a crazy, german cat lady and her class is a lot of fun. She helps you while your taking her quizzes and tests, pretty much gives you the answer. Her homework is optional, but you should probably do it so you know what is going on. She swears and makes fun of people a lot, I would highly recommend her!

Anke is a wonderful professor. She explains everything very clearly and uses great examples, her home is a lot but not required. You have book work every night and assignments that are actually due. If you think she is a bad professor, than you are probably lazy, unintelligent, not a real math major, or an education major. Or possibly all three.

She teaches to her favorite students and is very condescending if you answer incorrectly. I would take a kinder professor like Mr. or Mrs. Gorman for Calc

She is an absolute genius. The class moved slow, but the material was explained very well. We probably moved so slow because we didn't have a very intelligent class. She can give you reasons why calculus works the way it does. It is pretty cool!

Take her!!! she's so funny! she picks on her students in a joking sort of way and everyone gets a laugh out of it. She tells the funniest stories about her life and is constantly cursing which makes it so funny. for the first half of the semester we drew pictures with our compass and protractor. After that we construct more pics finding shapes.

Hilarious. She is unlike any other prof I've encountered here, she swears like a sailor but is overall very sweet. VERY GERMAN, but easily understood. For someone who HATES math, she made it very tolerable. attendance not mandatory but suggested for notes, she announces all quizzes ahead of time

One of the best math professors here at Kutztown! I was always horrible at math, but after having her class she made it seem so easy! Get ready for lots of swearing and funny jokes about her cats. She's hilarious

Really cares about her students. I took this course as one of my electives because I'm extremely good at math. So this was a really easy class for me. If you're not good at math take anke!!! She clarifies things for those who aren't good at understanding math. Seriously take her if you can. I'm taking her again for a writing intensive math class

She's really friendly and willing to help. As long as you pay attention in class, take the notes, and complete and ask questions on the homework, the class is an easy A.

She's a nice lady, and really knows her stuff. However there's next to no way of studying for the class because the non-mandatory hw she assigns she admits herself is dumb or confusing, which it is. She rushes through material and writes pretty nasty comments on graded things. The class isn't easy in general. Nice in person but the classwork is bad

Anke is the best. She knows her math. She is one the smartest teachers I've ever met. Class is always full of laughs. She is always willing to help with homework and she genuinely cares about her students. She has helped me in so many ways and I am going to miss her!!!!!

The way she teaches the material is usually straight forward enough to earn an A if you show up every day and do your assignments, but on the rare occasion that you don't understand something and have a question, she can be a little sarcastic and insulting in the way that she answers you. She's a cool and interesting person most of the time, though

Always willing to help, and she is always willing to re word things so the students can better understand them. During tests and quiz's she helps you as much as possible. If you dont go you will miss a lot of material. i hate math but I want to take another math so I can take her. She also has a dog she brings to class so its a win win.

Let's just say I am horrible at Math. However, taking her made me confident in math as a whole. She can be intimidating, but don't take it personal. She will always help you if needed. She does not leave students hanging. However, she does not cater to students who don't take class work and attendance serious. Show up and pay attention, easy A.

I love Anke. I took her for Linear Alg. Her assignments and tests can be difficult, but she cares about her students and wants you to pass, always willing to help you if need be. She also will be straight forward with you and does not sugar coat things so do not take her if you get offended easily. Overall, she is one of my favorite professors.

If you have to take a math take it with her!! She is the best! She is so caring, understanding, and always willing to help. Had her for math 17 and geometry and I would've never passed those without her. She is very straight forward and knows what she is doing. Ask questions, go to her office hours! She helps as much as she can even on the tests!

Anke is a hilarious yet outspoken teacher, and she isnt afraid to curse or make jokes. She likes to pretend shes not, but shes really a great person. Her class is pretty easy, mostly drawing circles and triangles, but her tests usually trip people up, beware of true or false questions. Overall pretty good teacher.

She is unreasonably hard and extremely rude to her students. I would ask her questions and I could tell she was annoyed meanwhile Im paying her to teach me. She does mostly pass people as long as if they put in the work, so I gave her a 2 for that reason. She curses a lot and calls students out in front of the class.

I absolutely loved Dr. Walz and 100% recommend her to anyone taking Mat40. She was super helpful during the transition online and was able to clearly explain all information. She made me genuinely like the content and I loved the way she structured the course. She does not use textbooks and you only have to buy a compass set (which was super cheap)

I absolutely loved this class and professor. I didn't have a good geometry teacher in highschool, so I took this class to learn something, and I'm very happy I did. Dr. Walz is so considerate. There's hw everyday, but it's usually just one worksheet with one or two questions. She's also super helpful and the quizzes were easy if you did the hw!

I was a bit nervous because on the first day she comes off as tough, but she is absolutely amazing. She is super lenient if you miss an assignment and as long as you tell her if you're going to miss class or had something that prevented you from doing work she will understand. Makes math easy to understand. Lastly, she is so HILARIOUS

Quizs almost every friday but if you go to class and pay attention, everything is fairly easy. Beware of T/F questions on exams, study the vocab. She is always willing to help you even on quiz/exams and usually gives you a chance to fix your mistakes. If you respect her, she will respect you. She is very funny but dont talk over her & NO phones!!!!

Professor Walz is the best professor I've had this year, she's funny and her lectures involve a lot of hands on work. She will allow you to make up a quiz or exam if you have an excused absence and she thoroughly explains the materials in a way that is easy to understand. Just be aware that she is very strict on cell phone usage.

She seems tough at first, but is so sweet and kind. Super funny and understanding. Great at explaining and showing the material, good at clarifying with questions. Quizzes nearly every Friday but it's all stuff she's talked about that week. If you pay attention & take notes during class, you'll do fine. There is homework, but often just 2 problems.

make sure you show up everyday and make sure to do the homework!! She respects those who tell her why they are absent and take care of their missing work without hassle. She will also let you make up tests and is a generous grader.

Anke is one of my favorite professors I've had here at KU. She seems intimidating at first, but she is so caring and supportive. She will answer any question you have. I loved attending this class. She does a great job at supporting students. Anke makes geometry accessible to all levels of math. She's great!

I loved Dr. Walz! I was never the best at math (hence why I took Geometry), but she made it enjoyable. Quizzes every Friday and three exams, she's not too harsh of a grader. Homework typically everyday as well but you can complete it in class most of the time. I always felt prepared without much extra studying because she is very thorough.

Professor Walz is caring but strict - attend class, do the work, and she'll support you. Quizzes are frequent but manageable. I found unstuckstudy helpful for understanding concepts outside of class.

So funny! She always makes class fun and makes sure everyone understands what is going on. She likes to laugh and joke around but she also is very serious about her teaching. I love her and if I ever need to take a math class again, I'm definitely picking her.

I loved this class and that's saying something because I hated geometry in high school. If you go to class and pay attention/participate you will have a good time. Anke jokes around and was very helpful during class time and even on tests and quizzes, if you ask for help you will receive it. There are weekly quizzes and 4 tests including the final.
