Boring
This was his first year teaching STATS, so he was extremely nervous. his lectures are all over the place and he is BORING.. just know you'll basically be teaching your self.
Easy to understand him and his slides, he goes at a good pace
His voice is quite monotone, but what he says is easy to understand. He gives good examples, and he genuinely cares about the students. Some call him boring. I would just say that he teaches very well if you listen. I like the guy, and I would take more classes with him.
Sadly I've got to say he's the worst prof I've ever had. Very bad at teaching, hard to understand his material. He literally reads off the slides without really clarifying and explaining it well. He is unorganized, boring, and seems lazy. STRONGLY recommend any other prof for Stats 1000. Just terrible at his job.
He has a very monotone voice which makes the lectures very boring and just reads off of the slides.
he's a nice guy and all, but it's his first year teaching stats so he has a lot of room for improvement
Not a very good prof. His English is fine, but he stutters a lot and it's very hard to listen to him during lectures.
He is a new prof and it projects in class but I feel like he just needs a couple years under his belt and he will seem more comfortable in class! Disorganized when he writes on the board but you can capture most concepts through the slides if you try! The content in the class is easy the exam was unnecessarily tricky so be prepared for that!
He was very clear in what he said. Good prof to take with if you have not taken a math class in a while or math isnt your best subject he will explain simple math things to the class so no one is confused. lectures are mandatory if you want the 5% for iclicker questions. stats its no an easy class therefore its not an easy A
I could tell he was new because he seemed nervous at the beginning but after a while he seems to start gaining confidence sometimes cracking a joke here and there. His notes are very easy to understand and often stays after class for questions or extra help. Hes understanding &encourages students in class and sometimes gives tips for midterms too.
In order to understand what he teaches, you gotta come to class prepared with already learnt material, otherwise its hard to follow up with him. He will always respond to your questions, and always help. its his first year experience, so he wil obviously improve. Nice prof
Gives good tips and advice, he also responds with emails and helps as much as he can
He's new, but very helpful.
He was new and shy which made learning difficult sometimes. If you're really confused on something, email him and he'll reply with a lot of help. Practically gave me the answer to an assignment once! Really sweet but he just needs more confidence.
Genuinely cares and wants his students to succeed.
He' genuinely cares for each student's marks and he always responds to emails and gives great feedback a and helpful tips for midterms and exams.
For a new prof, his lectures are really straight forward and clear. He covers the topics really well and fully, runs a lot of examples, and has really good detailed examples in his slides. He really knows what he's doing so he answers questions well, too. If you have a hard time with math or need to redo your STATS credit, definitely take his class
Good guy, sticks to the book but overall a good prof. Focused on the stuff we needed to know, by the end of the semester I was confident in his teaching. Oh, STAT 1000, always always go to class. It is fairly simple, but it chugs along and if you miss a lecture, you lose your bearing.
Soft-spoken and new to teaching. He is very helpful after class and during his office hours. His slides are easy to follow and contain sufficient examples. Always attend class because of iclickers. Textbook was hardly used. You can still do well just by relying on his notes, practice reviews and assignments.
DO NOT take statistics 1000 with Doshi if you struggle with math. He is new to teaching and doesn't know how to answer many questions. He definitely would not be my first choice in prof however if you pay attention to his slides and attend class, it is easy enough to teach to yourself
He always acted a bit confused when teaching but he is an okay prof. He helps his students and he's accessible outside and inside class. I don't think I will take a class with him again but he wasn't bad.
Vey confused when teaching, read off the slides, barely explained the slides. Didn't take to questions well, new to teaching, all together not that great. Doesn't seem confident in his knowledge, if you struggle with math, defiantly DO NOT choose him. Speaks too low. Great guy but very inexperienced.
Don't be afraid to ask him questions. He's quite accessible outside class time and gives good explanations
Honestly the nicest prof on campus. He will even Skype you if you can't make an office hour. Definitely the most caring, most accessible prof you could ask for in a course which isn't exactly a walk through the park. Lectures aren't exactly thrilling but the notes and practice exams are all you'll need
He's a pretty good prof. He does go through examples quite fast but he'll tell you exactly what you need to know. There are no surprises. If you need help, don't hesitate to go to his office hours. he's very helpful and is actually open to discussion.
really good prof! already taken 1000 with him and just done 2000 last semester. go to his office hour and you will make friends with him!
Took stats online. I struggled and didn't study enough but pulled it off. It's difficult, and even if you rocked calculus in high school, you still will probably have to study a lot for stats. Ankit did a good job answering questions quickly in the discussion forum for us. Ask lots of questions, he can be pretty helpful.
great prof
This was the most straight-forward online class I've ever taken. Just follow these steps: (1) Read and review posted notes, (2) Practice and review suggested homework questions, (3) Practice and review practice-exams, (4) Do assignments, (5) Show up for Exams. Follow these 5 easy steps and you will achieve a high grade.
Amazing Prof
Nice guy. Good professor. He's kind of shy. Would recommend.
Very average prof. Extremely boring to listen to, but pretty decent explanations. Friendly, although not a prominent trait. Exams and all marks are fair. Very helpful, whether you go to his office or send him an email. He'll make sure you are satisfied with his explanations.
Prof. Doshi really cares, but his lectures were 3 hours long, which made it really difficult to concentrate. I also think he could have done a better job at explaining some of the harder units. The exams were pretty tough. But he always encouraged students to ask questions. Wouldnt retake the course though since I struggled with it a lot.
I haven't finished the course yet, but just wanted to express my appreciation for this guy. He is the most present and responsive instructor for an online course I have taken in my degree. If you post a question on UMLearn asking how to do a question, he will respond with a solution - he did this until 3 AM the night before the midterm!
Online class. The prof replies to your emails within 12 hours. His explanations are clear and he gives hints on whats going to be on the tests. IMO he is the only good stats prof. Don't take this course as a joke cuz its extremely hard. The practice exam questions the prof posts are almost identical to whats on the midterm/final
Extremely responsive and helpful.
One of the best organized online courses I've taken. Prof provides clear notes and an abundance of practice questions. Exams are very straight forward.
Prof Doshi responded very quickly to emails, even at night or on the weekends if you had any questions, which was very useful in an online course. He's very accessible and gives good explanations
This guy is a real gem, and has given me a new appreciation for Stats, and distance courses. His notes are clear, concise and have loads of examples. He provides practice questions, with worked solutions as well as multiple practice midterms and finals. He is quick to respond to emails, discussion posts etc, even at 3 AM.
I had him my first year for STATS 1000 and it was also his first year of teaching at UofM. He was a bit hard to understand at first cause obviously he was new at it but when I went over the notes again everything he explained made sense. So overall he is good and helpful.
Highly recommended. He does care about your study for sure, as well your feedback to him. He can respond your email at midnight for your questions and always offer suggestions for quizzes and exams. In general, he is a good professor at u of m.
A+++ best distance ed prof at U of M
Nothing really exciting about Doshi, however he teaches in a way that is great for all skill levels, as he takes his time with all concepts. He responds to emails quickly and is accessible outside class. Make sure to do practice questions after every class to maximize success in this course
Dosh! Awesome professor. He is very accessible outside of class and gives good feedback on tests and assignments. The material in this course is pretty dry, but Dosh did a pretty good job of making it somewhat interesting.
I took this online, and he provided excellent structure and examples for how to do well. If you practice, you will not have a problem.
The notes provided were super clear, and there was always homework assigned for each section. Im not a marh person, but I loved Statistics. Plus, he send out at least one or two emails a week to remind us of upcoming tests or assignments due, what to focus on in each chapter or to explain a more difficult topic. Lots of practice exams too
Professor Doshi is an empathetic and predictable professor who teaches his class exactly according to his syllabus. His assignments are straight-forward, fair, and challenging -- and so are his exams. It's always refreshing to take a third year class with a professor, who doesn't have some difficult quirk. He's also a clear communicator.
I took both stat1000 and stat2000 with him online as a first year student and I loved it. His slides and practice exams are very helpful and straight forward.
Hands down best prof I have ever had - that says a lot considering I've had a variety of profs. He really cares about his students and is always in depth in his email and is willing to do the best for his students. This man deserves a raise!!
This is my first stats class for my BN degree post RN. I have been out of school for a long time. Professor Doshi was always available to assist with questions /would email back within 24 hours. He genuinely cared and encouraged me to continue the class. He was not but amazing. Thank you for all your support. Do all sample tests, read notes.
Class was taught very well, but the lectures were extremely boring.
Best prof ive experienced . Hands down ! Point blank ! He is extremely reliable , goes extra mile to help you understand outside his hours . Very organized and detail oriented . Everything is really smooth to follow . If you follow his lecture notes and practice problems , you will smile at the end .
I took Stats 2000 with Ankit online and he was amazing. Even though it was an online class he was always accessible and sent us a ton of detailed emails to help us understand topics and what would be covered on exams.
Ankit is best Prof so far and is amazing when delivering lectures. If you listen to his lectures carefully, you will do well.
His notes are very clear and so are his emails and lectures. Had an 7pm-10pm with him and walked out with an A+. It wont be such a confused class if you go to class and pay attention and do all the sample question he gave you. He cares about his students and he is very dedicated. A great prof!
Sends fantastic, clear and helpful emails regularly so you know where the course is at and where its going. Expect the exact same course as STAT1000. Seems like the Department of Statistics is overall very well organized.
Best online class Ive taken. Everything is super organized and clear. Do all the practice exams and youll do just fine. Grading and expectations are clear. Great prof and class!
Great class, if you did well in stats 1000 this class is mostly a repeat of stats 1000, super straight forward online class, prof is great, midterm and final is very fair.
I took both STAT 3470 and 3480 with Ankit. He is not the most organized prof, but the material is pretty easy so it's not a big issue. Super nice and gave fair exams. Assignments could get long but were pretty easy overall. Lots of memorization for exams. Explanations were clear and he showed us basic SAS coding which is useful for future jobs.
I have him as my prof for stat 1000 and stat 2000 and both time I get decent grades. He talks slow but his explanation is clear and understandable. He makes stat more breathable for me since I'm not a fan of math or stat. He cares about his students and he's very responsive by email. Glad I have him as my stat prof.
took online stats 2000, easier then stats 1000, do ALL the practice exams multiple times until you ace them and you'll get the A/A+. Always replied to emails instantaneously with excellent feedback, super easy class.
Took Stats 1000 with him a few years ago. He was a nice prof, though the lectures were pretty dry. I used grant's tutoring services as well as his books to study and ended up doing well. He was reasonable to take the class with back then! Study well and put a lot of time in since the class is challenging.
a great prof, and listens to ur problems as well, especially during a time like this where remote learning is hard, he tries to make it easy and adjust his grading scale to make sure we get the benefits. tests are easy if u do all ur practise questions and prof provides w a lot of practice stuff, so take advantage of that!! lectures r recorded too
Professor Ankit is honestly a god-send. His slide notes for each topic are concise and so systematically organized. Honestly, all I did for an A+ was go through his notes, then the practice questions, then the sample midterm/ finals. If you experience any bumps along the road or are stuck on a problem, he is SUPER helpful in his office hours
He's one of the best profs in UofM so far, he bumped up my grade so much. I was actually gonna cry when I saw my mark but then I emailed him about it and he fixed it. JUST MAKE SURE TO WATCH HIS LECTURE VIDEOS AND STUDY HIS NOTES. And you'll get an A for sure. Stats is a bit complicated but through effort and determination, it's all gucci
Ankit is a very helpful professor who wants his students to succeed. Listen to the advice and follow the course schedule provided and you will do well. Stats 1000 is known as a difficult course, it is extremely heavy and requires effort in order to succeed, but Ankit steers you in the direction of success. Great prof, tough course!
amazing online prof. answers emails fast. Slides awesome they were enough to teach the entire course without going to the lecture. would recommend this class and prof to anyone.
Great online professor, posts video lecture to supplement the posted slides. He makes the content very easy to understand,
Professor Doshi made lectures very easy to understand and was incredibly organized, which made the class very easy! He is easy to talk to and he goes the extra mile to make sure that students have the chance to ask questions and clarify things that they're confused about. Would 100% recommend taking this class with him!
Gave great lectures even though the course was distance ed. His clear instructions made this class very simple. Practice questions and sample exams are the best way to do well on the exams.
I took both STAT 1000 and 2000 with Professor Doshi and he is great. His lecture videos are clear and he always prepared us for the more "tricky" questions that come up on the exams. He is accessible by email and really takes time to explain something in full if you ask him a questio n. He definitely cares for his students and I would recommend him
Ankit was a great professor. I took STAT2000 with him through distance. As long as you watch the lectures and put in a good effort with the practice midterms and finals before the exams you'll do well. He is very good at being clear and provides lots of information. There is literally no chance to be confused by anything in his course. Great class!
I had Ankit Doshi for Stats 1000 and Stats 2000, both through distance ed. He is an incredibly caring professor, and ensures that students understand the material by holding review sessions. This year, he started making lecture videos, which were a huge help for studying. I can't recommend him enough for Stats 1000 and Stats 2000.
He's really good at teaching. He made videos explain everything crystal clear. He is super nice and kind. He really cares about students.(How can you find a prof respond your email at 3:00am)
He doesnt teach anything and makes it very hard to learn. All the learning has to be done in your free time as homework and the tests are very hard.
Shows lack of professionalism in his lecture due to contradictory statements. His lectures do not match his prewritten notes, unable to keep a consistent train of thought. Too much side tracking, difficulty of getting to the point. His grading is strict and tests are designed to confuse you instead of properly test.
Ankit is an amazing teacher. You can see that he puts a lot of effort into communicating with the class. He is very responsive to our questions. Plus, his lecture materials are very well prepared and organized.
Professor Doshi is the second prof in my 3 years at the u of m that I can genuinely say CARES about his students. His lectures and notes are well organized and straightforward. He communicates really well if you have questions and does his best to prepare you for the exams. Overall 10/10.
Ankit is a great instructor that really cares about student success. He prepares his students very well for exams and quizzes and is very accessible through e-mail. Overall a great professor with a love for teaching.
The test and exam question are so difficult. He his a tough grader. Avoid him for you can
Ankit is a real gem at the U of M. He truly cares about his students and works hard to help them pass. Explains things so clearly and even if you're still stuck he is extremely approachable outside of class and really helps you work through a question, rather than just solving it for you. I would recommend Ankit a thousand times for this class!!
I loved taking stats online with Ankit. He has a bit of a tendancy to get sidetracked during lectures, but covers everything you need to know and is always around to help in a way that teaches you the material instead of just doing it for you. Would rate him higher if I could
Very thorough, great at explaining, responds to emails promptly, and actually cares!
Ankit is very communicative & you can tell he genuinely wants his students to do well. Very organized. Material in his sample exams are what's in his quizzes/exams. I, for one, am not a "math person", so I had to put in the work to get the mark I wanted. Keep up with his study schedule, be consistent with practices(!), and you'll be just fine.
Just had Professor Doshi in STATS1000 (Distance) and have nothing but great words to say. He gave a clear plan on how to succeed in his course, it really is just practice, practice, practice. Love his notes, very easy to follow. Whenever I had a question regarding practice exams, he would email me back very fast and make it clear. Definitely worth!
Put in the effort and you will succeed. amazing prof and class. gives LOTS of practice questions to make sure you know the material. no surprises on test/assignment material here. was incredibly generous with the marking bc of covid/strike
The best prof! Gives you all the resources you need! Gr8 slides and lecture vids. Emails fast! Actually cares ab his students. Tests and quizzes are fair. As long as you can do the practice qs, you will do gr8. Very reasonable.
Couldn't ask for more! Ankit is very great as a stat prof. Even all materials were pre-recorded, but he's always available by email and a class a day before quizzes/midterm/final and he's willing to stay for more than 3 hours just to answer our questions. Well, what can I want more about him? Looking forward to taking STAT 2000 with him next term!
Great Prof!
Prof Ankit is one of those profs that actually cares about his students, responds to emails as quickly as he can, and his lecture videos are concise and very easy to understand.
Great professor! Cares for his students, his lectures are very clear. If you watch all the lectures and do practice questions you'll do great!
Professor Doshi is super organized and offers many examples and practice questions to prepare for quizzes and exams. His notes are clear but his recorded lectures I found to be very slow and at times boring. Hes a very supportive prof and wants you to succeed but just isnt too ecstatic in his lectures.
Doshi was very accommodating with online learning, the strike and poor class averages. He genuinely cares about students success and was always easy to contact. If you put in the work and study hard youll have no problem succeeding in his class.
He taught the material clearly. I loved his "extra practice" videos he uploaded for every chapter. He cares about students' success.
If you enjoy statistics and want to understand not just how to do something but why this is the professor for you. Or if you can’t remember how to do things from stats 1000 he covers everything from square one onward. Clear explanations and covers several examples for each type of problem. Tests are straightforward no curve balls. Great professor
Amazing teacher . Cares and actually replies and spends time focusing. Heard a kid stuttering replies in a zoom and stopped cause he sensed misunderstanding. That is rare. Ankit>>>
iconic
Very caring, Ankit is the GOAT. Best Distance course I've ever taken, Ankit is very much accessible, he replies to emails at 5AM and his zoom drop in sessions were one of the best things about this course. His lectures were a little slow though but 2x speed solved that. Overall 11/10 would recommend
Ankit was transparent with us about everything and accommodating when needed. He always answered things relatively fast and made the course very easy.
First time taking a distance course, so I was pretty nervous but taking it with him was definitely a great decision!! He set up this course really well by providing video lectures with the notes and lots of good practice questions and exams! His office hours were helpful too and just overall, a great prof!
Video lectures were very helpful and so were his office hours. He truly cares and regularly emailed the class to keep us updated on everything. He's a great professor and makes the content understandable!
Ankit facilitates an excellent learning experience with a clear course layout and study guides. Course notes are very thorough and easy to understand and practice problems & sample exams echo what's on the actual exam. Sends regular emails to keep everyone on track and genuinely cares for his students. This was a DE class but hardly felt like it
Very goof prof. His teaching style is one of the best I have ever come across.
Had Ankit Doshi for both STAT1000 & 2000 and I am very impressed. Even though I stumbled to get on track until the midterm (since the course was distance learning, which was self-paced), but Ankit really helps during his office hours. Learn from his sample exams and you should be fine (A for this course would be very possible if you are on track).
I thought he was awesome, would definitely take again.
took stats 1000 with ankit as a DE course and it was great. Super well organized, i loved his study sessions for exams he held. It was super super helpful. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students even in a DE course. Really great at responding and explaining concepts through email. If you did the practice you will do well!
Ankit goes above and beyond to teach his students the required material, he will attempt to answer any reasonable question you ask him. I have not finished the semester yet but I will say that he is great, we need more professors like Ankit.
I took dr. Mateo class first but dropped it because she was not helping. However i took this class with my friend just to check how well is the prof, turns out he is very good in comparison. His lectures are very good and the concepts were very clear.
This professor taught STAT 2150 for the first time while completing his phD and paid no attention to the class. All assignments and midterms were expected to be completed without receiving a single grade. He provided no clear assistance or instructions to aid in studying and midterms did not reflect the supposedly learned material.
he is awesome! if you email him, he will reply you back within an hour. sometimes he replies back right away! he is very easy going. and he is willing to help you if you reach out to him ill definitely recommend him
Truly splendid work from Professor Doshi.
Easily the best prof that teaches STAT1000. The lecture videos were so thorough that I never really had to take any notes. He also provides loads of practice problems and his email response times are very fast. Best prof I've had at the UofM so far.
Professor Doshi makes statistics fun to learn. He is very clear in his explanations of topics and thoroughly goes over all types on questions you can expect on a test. He warns about common errors for when doing questions instead of waiting to ding you on the assignment and then telling you. Be sure to do the practice assignments
Straight to the point and is effective with instruction.
Had him for both STAT 1000 & 2000, distance and can say he was a great prof! His notes are great and all the material he provides are imo, enough to be successful in the courses. I really liked how organized the setup was for both the distance courses. Overall, amazing professor!
The prof is a very fair grader. Assignments, labs, quizzes, and a midterm. Material is very detailed and easy to follow. The key is to do the practice problems provided.
This was Ankit's second time teaching STAT 2150 and felt a bit rushed and scattered at some points. However, he compensated pretty generously by curving grades for midterm 1, the final exam, and the grade cutoffs. Very good guy and will only get better teaching the course.
Ankit Doshi is an amazing professor. I took STAT 1000 with him and actually changed my major from accounting to statistics because of him. He posts all lectures online which is great because you can pause and play whenever you need to. He posts many practice questions and often gives detailed or video solutions to the problems.
Lectures are quite dry but gives you alot of material to help study, very clearly outlines on what to study when. Sets you up for success. Gives you at least two practice exams before each exam
I KID YOU NOT, he is literally the worst explainer on the history of explaining, but he is so dry, and doesn't explain the material enough. AND THIS ISN'T EVEN THE WORST PART!!!! He uses some code thing called R Studio, R and R Markdown.. I HATE it, first of all it is not even part of the dumb curriculum, like what is this a coding class or STATS!!
I have failed or VW stats a couple times, but this prof finally made me understand stats. He provides a lot of material to succeed in this class, and he explains how to solve problems very well.
Wow...this was my first time taking STAT 1000 and Dr. Ankit made me fall in love with statistics; he's probably one of the best profs out there. His exams are also very fair, as long as you do the practice problems and practice midterms/finals, you will 100% ace the exam. Definitely recommend taking this course with him. 10/10.
Ankit does an amazing job explaining things however he is slow. Expect the last few lectures to be rushed but he gives enough practice and notice. He spent the first month teaching R code and he overcompensated when most people know some programming. His tests and assignments are very fair. Most of the mistakes were truly my fault. Would recommend
Extremely well organized and very detailed explanations of what he wants you to learn. 10/10 recommend
I'm in Stats 2000 now with Dr. Doshi and took 1000 last semester. He answers emails fast, offers many resources, has clear expectations and takes the time to help you if you ask for it. The work is tough, but it is definitely doable. His lectures can be hard to follow but he gives examples and lots of practice questions. Highly recommend!
Should be teaching at Hogwarts because this guy is a friggin wizard. Ankit will teach you things you didn't even think were possible. Prepare to be awestruck in nearly every lecture.
Two words, 10 letters; literal god! I worship Ankit Doshi every night without hesitation due to his unworldly ability to relay and teach stats. He is a kind loving and might a say a very attractive prof; he is the real deal!
I took STAT1000/2000 online with Ankit and they were probably some of the most organized courses I've ever taken. Lecture videos are easy to follow and he provides many practice questions for every unit. Quizzes are fair and proctored online. Assignments on RStudio are easy to follow along with the tutorial. He answers emails very quickly.
Very organized! He provides a clear schedule of which videos and notes you should watch and go over, as well as practice questions to do each week. He does quiz and exam prep sessions that really help and he was really approachable. There isn't enough space to express just how good of a prof he is!!
Lectures are easy to follow. He explains concepts clearly. This is my second course I've taken with him and I think he's fantastic.
Good prof!
Ankit is a great professor - very organized with clear schedules and practice materials. The lectures and R Studio assignments are helpful, and he's approachable. unstuck AI also made a difference for my prep.
From my experience, Ankit was amazing. He provided so many extra resources, had solution videos for every practice question, was very clear at explaining things, and even put a couple easy questions on the final exam just to be nice. I would definitely take a course with him again.
His notes were very detailed and comprehensive. He is also very kind and does everything in his power to help students excel. He responds to emails very fast and is very approachable. Great guy, really down to earth!
He explains concepts very thoroughly in the lectures. The notes are very details and he posts both his slides and written work/code after class. The assignments and exams were very fair and he provides lots of material to help you study, like previous midterms and finals. I would definitely take more classes with him!
Great prof that understands the balance of difficulty and learning. Questions are not impossible but also fosters critical thinking. Make sure to do all practice questions for A/A+
Another gem of the Statistics department. He makes learning material online engaging. Provides all resources necessary to succeed. Great communication throughout term, much appreciated for distance courses. Keeps everyone on track, posts quiz/exam prep videos and is accessible out of class, even answers emails on those weekends right before tests.
goat, made stats1000 easy.
I was a little scared to take an online math class but this course went great! He provides prep videos before each quiz/midterm that basically guarantee a good mark. He also doesn't try to keep the lecture videos too long so u can catch up easily if you fall behind. Also responds very fast to any questions you might have. Overall great professor!!
Ankit Doshi is a great prof I have ever had, he made stats 1000 so easy, amazing lectures, quick email replies, i was kinda skeptical of taking a course online but he really made it easy, everything he posted was well organized, final and midterm was really easy for me, the prep sessions were really helpful for quizzes. Great Professor overall!!!.
He explains everything very well and replies email so fast! Great prof, easy course, little effort. If you are looking for GPA booster electives, take stat2000 with him!
Clear grading, clear expectations for tests, a good prof who answers questions well and answers emails timely
A good prof, but the finals are always insane. Unlike the sample final, ours had more questions, more parts per question on average, and covered harder material. Willing to help always throughout the year though!
Responds quickly to emails, gives useful tips and info, and genuinely wants you to succeed. Can't recommend him enough for any STATS course.
I took both STAT 1000 and 2000 online with professor Doshi and couldn't recommend him more! The course content is set up for you to succeed and he is always available to meet/answer questions. Exams were very similar to the HUNDREDS of practice problems provided!
Stats 2 is an easy course if you put in the time. If you dont, its easy to fall behind, especailly DE. The assignments were confusing but just look at UM learn for examples.
I took the course online and he was always easy to reach for questions or concerns. I suffered an accident during the course and with documentation from a doctor he was very accommodating and helpful!
Great prof!! Super nice and caring guy! Very good at explaining concepts and is always willing to explain in more depth for those that ask for clarification. Always answers emails quick. Had lots of extra practice questions and practice tests and has videos of him or another prof solving each practice question. Excited to take STAT 2000 with him!
