She's a very good teacher...one of the few who says hi when she sees me on campus. She's been helpful w/things outside of class too. Her classes are challenging, but if you do what you're asked and work hard you'll do well!

Such a nice lady...took her my freshman year, she really knows what she's talking about, and she's a ridiculously easy grader. Take her if you can.

The very best teacher I have had here so far. Extremely helpful and an easy grader. She really makes you think, when you take this class your not just going to learn about writing, You'll also learn how to think freely and put those thoughts onto paper.

Probably one of the best teachers I've had. very passionate about what she teaches that made me interested in the topic no matter what it was. Seemed like alot of work but she went thru every assignment thouroughly almost making it impossible to fail

The best teacher I have EVER had. She gives a decent amount of writing assignments, but she will walk you through the assignment, no matter how hard of a time you may have, if you try she will not fail you. She is absolutley the best teacher here.

Professor Brunjes is the coolest writing professor I have had and she doesnt give too much work, when you think about it. If you love or hate to write, this class is just what youre looking for because she respects your writing style soooo much!!!! YEAH!!

She is nice as a person but if you are a republican don't take her class cause all you get fed is liberal sh**, and she never gives the other side of the story...but if you are a liberal you will love her.

Shes nice - but she has a down side...she is very up beat but kinda dorky annoying. she gives alot of work..unbarable at times and you have to do all of it inorder to recieve a decent grade.

I lean toward Rebulican and thought she was great. Gives a fair look at everything. Very Helpful and knowledgable. Will do her best to help you outside class also. Fair Grader, do the work(which is not that hard) and you will do fine. Great Lady

To the person who had all 1s...college IS hard. And if she shot you down for extra help it means that you sucked pure and simple, like noclasswork etc...trust in brunjes

Brunjes was the most amazing professor I had during my college career. I worked VERY hard for her, because I really enjoyed the classes. She made me think in new ways, and was always there to help.

She's cool! Answer questions, get involved in discussions and do your papers...and all is well!

She's not out to fail anyone, she is easy to understand, very lively, funny, interesting to listen to and extremely helpful. She likes you to participate and you MUST bring in your assignments... otherwise bad things will happen to your grade. But if you are good bringing in assignments on time, have no fear. She is an outstanding teacher, try her.

Out of all the professors I've had, I would say that she "cares" the most about students and has your best interest at heart. Very refreshing.

Energetic teacher who knows how to keep the topic fascinating. Clear teaching. Clear expectations. ALWAYS willing to help. Dr. Brunjes is by far the best professor in the English department. Her knowledge and intelligence knows no bounds and she is EXTREMELY helpful. The only downfall is she gets super excited about the material discussed in class and falls behind on the schedule. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Brunjes is one of the best professors on campus. She expects a lot of close readings and small writings, but her grading is fair. One mid-term, one final, and one research paper, but incredibly helpful with all and extremely clear with her expectations. Her passion and enthusiasm keeps the class lively. Would definitely take again!

LOVE HER! She is the most amazing professor at BSU in my opinion. She's a huge procrastinator which I think is great because she's understanding of things being turned in late. She really cares about student progress and about every student getting a good grade.

Dr. Brunjes is inspirational. There is nothing about American Lit that she does not know. She expects a lot out of her students but it is well worth it. She values everyone's opinion and gets excited about class discussion. I would take every class with her if I could.

Brunjes is an understanding and intelligent person - she's happy to work with students so that they really understand the class and get their assignments done. She's flexible about deadlines if you're struggling, and always happy to help you grapple with more difficult concepts. She's been a blessing this semester and I hope to take more with her!

Professor Brunjes is so caring and the sweetest lady! She truly cares how her students are doing in her class and offers the option to zoom in if you are not feeling well, which not many other professors do. I definitely recommend taking her class if you can! She also brings in treats for a class 'party' during the poetry slam and final paper class

She is so great because she views her students as people and understands that basic human function comes first before school and assignments. Professor Brunjes is one of my favourite professors and I am happy I got to take her two semesters in a row. She is so understanding & allows extensions & late work (within reason). Reading is required, but she doesn't take points off for not participating. If you take her, you'll love her. I hate american lit but she made me enjoy it for credit.

I loved having Brunjes! Very funny and very understanding. My one gripe with his is the feedback she leaves on papers and proposals can be kind of vague, and her handwriting, though pretty, is difficult to read so that gave me even more trouble trying to figure out what she wanted to comment.

I cant stress enough how incredible Brunjes is, as a professor & person. This women supported, cared and encouraged me in all aspects of school and life. I loved the material we read for this class - so bona fide American! - and Dr. Brunjes has the most amazing lectures and discussion questions to really dig into the works! Professor Brunjes is easily one of my favorite professors at BSU! This class was my second time having her - I loved having her for ENGL203 so much I wanted to take her again! She is extremely considerate of her students and is easily reachable by email. She made every lesson interesting, even the more mundane topics I usually wouldn't care about!
