Very knowledgable. She does a lot of work so you dont have to. I was able to learn things in her class that i simply could not grasp with previous professors.

Gives a handout every lecture so go over that and read the book and you'll get A's on your tests! Tells you essay q's to prepare for test. She's down to earth, funny, talks fast so ask a questions if you didn't get it. Take her!!!!

This class was a great experience. Prof Hennessey is a very sweet and hard working person, she tries her best to help you in any way she can. There were 7 exams (50 MC, 1 essay) and a final. The class is definitely not an easy A, you have to be really determined and work hard for it. She is always willing to help during office hours too!

Nice lady. Very helpful, gives you everything you need for the tests, which are about once every two weeks, and presents everything very clearly. Lab was really interesting and really easy. The book isn't even all that necessary since she gives you a comprehensive study guide every week for lecture. Does a good job preparing you.

I had Hennessey for Psy lab, spring 2008, shes great, and I learned a lot in her class, she makes sure you understand the labs completely before you start them. Of course attendance is mandatory because it's a lab, we had 4 quizzes which she reviewed over the material before the quizzes, and 1 original lab project, which was easier then expected.

she's great! i loved how she taught, because she kept me awake and i learned alot from her. she gives handouts every lecture and that's pretty much all you need. super easy class.

We had 2 in class writing assignments, if you show up for the writing assignment you can take it home and turn it when the next day. She doesnt go off topic. You dont need the book. Lab class is chaotic and often frustrating, usually not enough time to accomplish work. The professor is very nice and helpful, but poorly organized. She wants everyone to do well. It is easy to get an A or B in this class if you simply pay attention and make an effort to follow instructions.

I am currently taking Prof. Hennessey's lab class. I don't see how anyone can say anything negative about her. She is extremely helpful and understanding. It doesn't bother me that it takes her a little longer than usual to grade assignments. She's a busy woman, but never too busy to talk to her students. I love her class & wish I could take more.

She is a good teacher overall, she is hard on grading the essays on the test which tends to lower your grade a bit. Tests include 1 essay (choose from 3) and 60 m.c question. Also, there are 2 essay assignments. If you take interest in the class and you really put effort in trying to achieve that A, then its possible. Good Luck!

Must do work but she is accommodating if you talk with her. Psych 73 was very laid back, all she wants to see is effort. You can miss one lab w/o it counting against you. BIG project at end of class.

Probably the easiest academic class I've ever had at Pierce. YET, I learned a lot. Her study guides/handouts are extremely helpful. She doesnt take roll, so I would leave class early EVERYDAY. Yet I still Aced all the tests and ended up with an A in the class. Study the handouts and READ THE TEXTBOOK before tests and it'll be an EASY A.

She was a great teach and the students who posted about sending peope to the deans office, it's only if she has reason to believe that you cheated. When you talk to her or ask for help she is willing to accomodate and make time to talk. I would reccomend her classes because they are easy to learn and well presented. It's hard not to get an A or B.

Took Her Honors Psych 2 class and I LOVED HER! Her honors class is HONORS level and you have to earn your credit. Sweetest professor at Pierce, truly cares for her students and their well-being. Helpful during office hours and a very cheerful, kind person to talk to. Definitely recommend her, but of course you have to earn your A.

She is a good teacher. But she is very hard. She has high expectations for her students...so make sure you are willing to do the work. I was and I worked my butt off and got an A. It was a tough class but she gives out handouts for each chapter and the final replaces one of your lowest test grades...take her if you are willing to do the work.

I took psyc 1 & 2 with her and LOVE her. She tends to be scattered w/ her notes but the handouts clear it all up. In psyc 1 I did not buy the book and still was able to ace the class just by the notes. Psyc 2 I would recommend buying the book because the reading helps a lot! Best psyc teacher I've had so far.

had bio psych 2 super hard subject but i stopped going to class and just read the bk & got a b. (her lectures are really boring) but she's really nice & goes out of her way to help you out. Her exams are hard but they prepare you for real college.I only recommend her if ur serious bout passing otherwise you'll fail.

She gives 5 exams, plus cumulative final (all the questions are from the previous 5 exams, so you have all those questions AND ANSWERS to prepare!). Questions are streight-forward and not tricky, but you have to study for exams unless you can memorize everything from leacutres.

Incredibly, as she would say, "reasonable" class. One of the few teachers at Pierce who genuinely CARES. Her exams are VERY fair (no "double bubbles", no tricks) and she does NOT ask questions about material that has not been taught. Her class is not an easy one, but an A is definitely reachable if you just put in the effort. Love this prof.

Her class is fairly easy, and you will need to attend class since most of the exam questions are from the lectures. Exams mostly MC questions, and you will need to put some effort to get a B or A. It's hard to get a C if you do study. Her class is highly recommended.

She was demanding of her honors students, but very helpful. One intense research paper for honors. An exam consists of an essay, true/false, fill in the blank, and MC (4 exams total). Final is cumulative. If you don't plan to study, don't take the class. I got an A, but went to office hours regularly. It's not that hard if you just ask for help.

She believes the entire class is primarily composed of students who don't care and/or lack basic intellect. She attempts to explain clearly, results with a convoluted explanation. She is accommodating.

I liked psychology before her class and she made me absolutely love it. Read the handouts before reading the textbook and go off of what is there, anything not on the handouts won't be on the test. I studied the night before each text and aced the class.

The class can be challenging but if you read the book, come to lectures and ask questions, and go to office hours you will do great. I got an A but more importantly I learned.

i took her class for psych 1 and loved it so i took her again for psych 2 because there were no surprises. what she teaches you in class is what she tests you on. no homework, no assigned reading, not a heavy workload but the test are tough. take notes and study and you should be fine.

Psych 2 is a challenging class. What's nice about Hennessey is she states EXPLICITLY what will be tested on. No guess work. Ever. In fact, after a certain point I was able to completely rely on studying my notes and only using the textbook for clarification. As long as you never miss a class and study your notes, you'll be prepared for exams.

Brilliant and bright professor! I really enjoied her class lectures. She will challenge you to think! If you want an easy walk through class, find another professor. Hennessey is by far one of my favorite professors. There is no homework besides reading, except the reading is not required at all and all the info you need is taught via lecture. She really means it when she says she tries to make her course easy for all students. Just go over your notes regularly and understand the concepts and you're good to go.

The class is definitely not easy. Be prepared to study A LOT! Attendance is not mandatory, but each class covers a lot of material. She is extremely knowledgable and a very sweet teacher. I would take her again. 3 tests and a final plus an in class writing assignment which she helps you with.

Great teacher and she really believes in helping students get through the rough patches of Psych 2. It is not an easy class and you won't pass unless you study and attend every class. Every exam except for the final has an essay requirement but she gives you essay prompts weeks before so start writing/memorizing your essays early. Book is a must.

Grade doesnt depend on attendance but it helps if you go in order to get all info and pass exams. Overall she is a kind human teacher that makes you feel like she wants you to pass.

Great professor. She actually cares about making sure students are understanding what she's teaching. She's also willing to go over tests with you so you can see where you need to improve, and it does help. She grades on a slight curve and participating matters as she'll count it if you need a bump in your grade! I'd totally take her again!

She was the most inspirational professor. During the tests when I had questions, she answered them with no hesitation. You really have to work for your grade. I rewrote my notes for each test and studied a lot. She has office hours, so use those. It was the hardest A I have ever worked for, but I learned so much in that class. SHOW UP TO CLASS!

She's really sweet. She says attendance isn't mandatory but if you attend and take good notes you'll easily get an A on the exams. She teaches well and encourages you to ask questions. There's just way too many tests and essays, like two per month. It got in the way of my more important classes. But I'd recommend, only if you're a psych major.

Amazing professor; absolutely loved her and the class. I despise science, so I thought this class would kill me; as long as you pay attention in class (try not to miss one) and study, the class is a breeze. Only down-side is that the grade is made up by four exams, one in-class writing assignment, and the final. However, there are EC opportunities!

I've taken a variety of professors and can honestly say she is absolutely caring and truly wants you to pass! I came back for nursing after obtaining a BA already so I've had my share of professors. She's so amazing with explaining things and making you be engaged! I would definitely recommend her! The book isn't necessary! Take good notes/ study!

A lot of heavy exams, a lot of studying for exams, need to be there every class to keep up, but I got an A without opening the textbook once, and I studied using her guides. So worth it!

Ohhh my god, she is by FAR my favorite instructor that I have ever had during my whole academic career. Her lectures are really great, she covers everything! You definitely need to do your part when it comes to note taking and studying based on the nature of this course. But she is AMAZING. Years later and I can still remember what I have learned.

Reading not mandatory! The lectures are all notes 4 the test. Unless u have a friend who takes gud notes, u don't need to attend class (except the first 2 wks)

Take her! She was great! You will learn a lot in this class and i suggest to read the book before going to each lecture. It makes more sense. You will have 4 exams, a couple extra credit assignments, and one final. Luckily, if you do bad the final can replace a bad grade! Also, she does this thing called the no bubble rule! It really helps.

Professor Hennessey was a great teacher however it was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. Hardest A I have ever worked for. 5 tests, 1 essay, and 5 chapter assignments. If you have no life and want to study all the time, take this class. You will learn a lot ,but have mental breakdowns.

Professor Hennessey might be one of my favorite professors at Pierce. She's caring, and wants everyone to succeed. There isn't much homework at all, maybe 1 or 2 things during the whole semester. No quizzes either, so the class is focused mainly on the tests that include 4 chapters each, but you just need to study the notes she prints out for you.

Dr. Hennessey was the single most important instructor in my community college career. I am still drawing from the knowledge I gained through her, more than two years after the fact. If you have any real interest in pursuing a Psychology degree at a UC, you have to take her.

Prof Hennessey is probably one of the most caring prof you will meet. She goes over lecture extensively, but make sure to just do the easy prompts to save yourself some time and effort to get an A. The double bubble rule that she has in place will help you if you study well. Took her over the summer and I learned ALOT over the 4 weeks.

She helped me get passed my fears I felt not confident but we worked out a way for me to pass. I have one class left to get my psychology adt degree. I was happy she wanted to know about graduation

Professor Hennessey is the most humble person; really cares for her students. She is a passionate teacher, well prepared, and very helpful. I took her for psych 1, and had an awesome experience. Her lectures and notes are enough to get an A. however, text books and launch pad are highly recommended.

Make sure you attend lectures and take notes and youll be fine. Shes super understanding and super kind, there are three tests and a final and the material comes directly from the lectures. Shes always willing to help too! No homework, just studying and reading

I loved her! She is super sweet and always has a smile on her face. She teaches Psych 2 in a way that makes it easily understandable. The lectures will take up the entire class time. TAKE NOTES, lots of notes. As long as you show up, pay attention, and take notes youll pass!

She cares a lot, but I found her a bit odd although I never really met her in person. Everything in the course is done for you basically; she provides notes and everything. Lots of extra credit and generous grading criteria as well. If you can't pass, it's on you.

Professor Hennessey is one of the best teachers I have had. This isn't a "give me" class, but if you want to actually learn, take this class. She wants everyone to succeed. She is very accessible and helpful. She writes her own test questions and puts a lot of effort into her job. I've learned this is rare for an online class.

Prof Hennessey provided a clear structure for the A-synchronous class I took. She provides notes that contain all information needed for weekly Discussion posts. The tests weren't easy, but the information is available and clear. Participate and do well. Prof herself was accessible and a pleasure to get to know.

I highly recommend this class. She provides notes, and you only have one discussion per 4 chapters. The tests are easy as she doesn't try to trick you. The only annoying thing is that she uses Achieve, so make sure to either complete all achieve assignments during the first 2 weeks using the free trial or be prepared to spend extra money.

If you are interested in the topic, then take her. Time management is really important for her online class. If you dedicate the time and fully comprehend the topics, then you will do good. She isn't a tough grader but there is a lot of work so take someone else if you don't care about the subject. I'm a psych major so I loved her!

Amazing and caring teacher who gives great, detailed feedback and comments on assignments. Only thing about her class I disliked was every single piece of material written by her is a word block. Instructions for basic assignments were three pages, and her lecture notes were seven slides of words that I was able to condense into one page.

Prof. Ann Hennessey is awesome at her job! She not only teaches well, but also ensures that all of her students are safe, respected, and in a kind environment.
