I got a 100 on my first essay, then a 75, when I asked why she could give me no good reason. Ended up with a B because I had no idea what she was looking for on the papers.
She helped out and gave suggestions that were very helpful on papers and she tried to mix things up in every class. Very respectful of students and I learned a lot
Maloy is respectful and expects alot from honors students. If you arent interrested in Humanities dont take from her. If you are, you will learn ALOT and do some interresting activities. She is very knowledgable about the subject and expects your best!
I really enjoyed her class. Expect to write alot and to learn alot. She was very helpful and caring.

She's such an easy grader. If you like art and can write expect straight 100s. I miss seeing slides and stuff. You mostly get to concentrate on what she WANTS you to study. Wouldn't take her again but I don't regret it this time.
this is an amazing class and she's a great teacher. You absolutely have to do all your assignments as there aren't many of them, but as long as you put forth a decent effort you should make an easy A. Expect to learn a lot and see some obscure indy films, no need to read the book.
Just pay attention to the info she wants in your film reviews and you will do fine. We got to watch lots of cool films I never would have bothered to watch before and the class was very enjoyable.
Mrs. Malloy's class is so fun. Just do your assignments, watch the movies, the films are all excellent and fun. I would recommend her any day!
Malloy is a very creative professor who cares that her students learn the material. Be prepared for class discussions and writing papers. She was my FAVORITE teacher Spring 2005.
She did not respond to any of my questions. Comments on my papers were very short like, "Good paper," or "excellent examples." This was a poor learning experience.
easy instructor to pass with an A. fun class to be in!
EASY EASY EASY Nice lady
great class. interesting papers. write them from your idea of what you think she wants- dont over-think it-, within the length requirement, and you will do well. fun discussion board questions.
took class online...hated it...didn't learn anything that I didn't teach myself. The only part of class that was instructer lead were the discussion board postings...if you can BS your way through 6 papers, you can make an A...would have rather bought the book and taught myself saving $400...sadly it's required for my field.
She was awesome! I learned quite a bit from this woman. Her papers are actually fun. She is a little unclear on what she asks of you on the papers but-she wants you to decide what she is asking for. Easy and fun class-I wish I could take it again!
Easy online class. Discussion board & 6 small papers. Easy A if you do your work and write decent papers. Requires museum visit for final paper. I actually enjoyed Philbrook. I spent one significant evening on each of the 6 papers and that was it. She gives you examples of previous student's work, which lets you know what she is looking for.
easy grade but there is kinda a lot of writing but i had it for my first honors class and got an A ****ing blow off.
made learning about art and artist fun, she seemed interested in all her students

Great teacher! the class was hard in the beginning, but I still made an A in the class. Lots of material covered, but very informative.
Prof Malloy is awesome, if you can pull something other than fifth grade non-sense out of your mind she will love you. I attended maybe 30% of classes and still pulled off an A in an honors level course.
Prof Malloy is awesome, if you can pull something other than fifth grade non-sense out of your mind she will love you. I attended maybe 30% of classes and still pulled off an A in an honors level course.
Mrs Malloy is the best teacher ever I made an A in her class and she is very understanding of her students. I took Art Appreciaion on-line and she made it a wonderful experience. Your the GREATEST Mrs Malloy.
Great teacher! I really enjoyed her film class. The only homework are papers, which are not hard. The first test you had to study for, but the other tests were papers which are easy if you put a little thought into them. I recommend her for the humanities lovers.
Easy A. As long as u do the about 6 papers, u will get an A. English is my 4th language. I still managed to get As in all of my papers.
This professor was absolutely rediculous. I asked several questions and only ever got one sentance responses out of her. I had no help. Not to mention that her critisim makes you feel like she knows all and youre stupid for not knowing it. Hello this is why we're taking your class in the first place.
Took it online. Really easy and can make a good grade if you just do the work. Lots of papers though. Assignments are papers and discussion boards.
She is intelligent, animated, modern, and quirky. In my art of film class, I used the book once, the first test was easy. The essays were pretty simple as long as you did your works cited. I used to hate old movies, but now I appreciate any film regardless when it was made. Never fell asleep and got to watch some good films.
She is an extremely intelligent woman! She knows what she's talking about... tri major!... If you have a question or make a statement, she'll have a response immediately. Class was so easy. I made A's on everything just by following directions and not going above and beyond. She's energetic and exciting. I wanted to attend class everyday! Take her!
Confusing lectures. Lots of busy work.
Dr. MAlloy is very nice and good at what she does. I took her Art Appreciation and Art History class online and I still managed to learn a lot. There are a lot of papers and discussion board that makes up your grade, but they are not hard if you devote a little time to them. She's also available in her office at the Southeast to help along the way.
awesome teacher! if you just follow directions you will get an easy A! take her and show up to class, she is an amazing teacher who really knows a lot
I took her online class over the summer and it was awesome. She is really great, knows her stuff. You have to do about 6 assignments including the final in which you have to go to a museum also you have participate in board discussions. The class was pretty interesting and i learned a lot.
I have taken several classes from Dr. Malloy and she is absolutely wonderful! She knows her subjects and makes an effort to help students if they need it outside class. She is one of my favorite professors at TCC.
I absolutely loved her Honors Humanities I class. She challenged us to think, and pushed our level of understanding. I had little interest in Humanities before, but her approach really opened my eyes to the subject. She obviously knows her stuff and caters her lessons and tests to the student body in each individual class.I was blessed withgood one
I loved this class. I'm an art major so it came fairly easy to me. I do find it hard to describe art in words and we had to do a few papers but I got an A so I guess I did well. I look forward to taking more classes from her! Read and put some thought into your papers and you will do fine.
The 6 assignments were not hard at all. You get one late paper and can turn it in at the end of the semester. Discussion board or an Art Analysis are due at the end as well. I took the online course and it was great. Not self paced but felt like it. The assignments were spaced out nicely.
She gives many assignments. Mainly papers. No exams, but papers are all mini research papers and must spend a lot of time on. She tells you to follow instructions but every time you find an instruction its different from the one you just read. Overall class was hard and not fun.
I REALLY enjoyed this online class! All of the assignments are papers and discussion boards, but what I wrote and talked about was so enlightening, it didn't feel like work to me! Malloy gives vague instructions on the topics and format of the papers, but thanks to AP English classes in HS, I made it work. Fun class! Would take it again!
She may tell you to read the book, but so far, nothing on her tests come from the book. At any rate, she's really nice and is very prompt on answering emails and stuff. I would recommend her.
BEST professor! Throughly enjoy this course, highly recommended. First time in my studies where I feel like I'm learning valuable information. Interesting and workable assignments.
Dr. Malloy is incredibly smart and a colorful teacher. Take her, you'll learn a lot.
Dr. Malloy doesn't give traditional tests, just essays (4 essays and 2 film reviews in my class). She chose excellent films to show us and allowed us to express some creativity in the film reviews. I really enjoyed the short lectures on historical context she gave before each film. Overall, I had a very positive experience with her.
She is very smart and very responsible professor. She will tell you exactly what you need for her assigments. she always reads and gives you a sugestion for your papers. I wish all TCC online professors are like this. Her class is not easy but very helpful and fair. She is the best for an online class.
This class was overall pretty easy. The main bulk of the grade was taken from five papers and then some discussion board participation. The papers aren't too hard and if you make sure to include all the criteria she has asked then you will get a good grade. She also is easy to contact and responds in a timely manner.
When she was talking to the class, I didn't understand anything she was saying because I didn't know any of the films. However, there are only a couple essays, which are based on your opinions and artistic values of certain films. You watch lots of films in class which takes up the entire class period. Pretty easy A.
Dr Malloy is a great teacher who grades quickly and makes things clear. I enjoyed the course more than I thought
Simple. Fun. Easy A
Took this online class and glad that I did! Discussion boards and 5 papers. She will take one late paper (cannot be the final) Professor Malloy grades your work fast and gives good feedback. Do your work and get an easy A. You'll be glad you took this class!
Pretty much, turn in the papers, and pass!
Dr. Malloy is such an awesome prof. She loves to teach and her lectures are always interesting. Her exams are essays that you do on your own time. The course is somewhat challenging but an A is extremely possible. She gives good feedback, textbook isn't used much. I recommend her.
AH II. Interesting subject, you'll learn, but is not overwhelming. No tests, just essays. In the beginning I checked out books for sources, but later I noticed website sources were just as good. Deadlines are set in stone, only ONE late paper accepted. Use and mark your calendars. Time management will be your best friend.
If you want a EASY A then take her!! Im not a art person at all and have a A in her class. She's one of the easiest graders ever!! You have to do like three or four essays and five discussion but she grades way too easy!! I would definitely take her again!
Great class. No homework. Do the assignments and you'll be fine. Gives good feedback on assignments. Allows one late assignment which helped me. I would highly recommend. I enjoyed the class and was interested in the material.
Professor Malloy only assigns 6 papers for the entire class. Easy A if you just do them and make them lengthy enough. Low maintenance class.
Dr. Malloy is great! I was so nervous about taking Humanites 1 online but her class was a breeze. She assigns 4 Essays and 4 discussions! She is an easy grader. I would def take her again!!
Highly recommend taking this class w/ Dr. Malloy! Ahhmazing films and def learned a lot. Overall, there are 5 tests/papers. The essays are not difficult or stressful, just do them and show that you paid attention in class. Consider this the perfect gen ed class!!
Papers were mostly easy and she graded more fair than usual. Her expectations for papers were not very clear even though she had example work. The blackboard site was a mess to sift through trying to find everything I needed. Overall I learned a lot and I would take it again.
Easy and interesting art course! I would reccomend for anyone who needs a credit! She is awesome. You have 5 papers that are super easy to write. Basically do the work and you pass! She is really into what she teaches and is inspiring! I had no interest in this course at first but I actually ended up loving it!
AWESOME ONLINE CLASS. No tests, only essays and discussion boards. Her wording for assignments is confusing, but once you figure out what she's asking it's a breeze. I actually used the textbook a lot since it's all research essays, but it's not mandatory. You can finish the course early because she has all assignments open at all times!
Professor Malloy is amazing! I took her Art of Film class as a humanities credit, and I think everyone should experience this class! Very interesting and fun, and I actually learned! Assignments are all essays, with one test. No reason you shouldn't get an A. She is a pretty easy grader on the essays. You also get to watch a lot of great films.
I took Art Apprecation with Malloy. Easy online class - only 6 assignments which were all papers. I didn't really have any contact with the professor but the class was so easy I didn't really need to speak with her. I recommend!
I took this class as a 16wk online course for Art Appreciation and it was fun and easy. I'd taken her for Humanities 1 and loved her class! You have a midterm, write 3 papers, and visit a museum for your final. Do the work and it's an easy A.
I really enjoyed her humanities class. She is clearly passionate about the subject and tries to engage the whole class in learning.
Ms. Malloy is amazing! I took Art of Film from her an enjoyed every week, never missed a class! You can tell that she enjoys what she does, and enjoys teaching. I'm taking her online humanities class this summer because she was so great!
Great film teacher, a good humanities class to take if you can write decent critical analysis papers. (Very easy if you've had Eng Comp 2) The # of class seats for this course are shrinking next semester so you'll want to register early for this awesome professor! :)
Dr. Ann Malloy is an amazing professor. She is caring and professional. Dr. Malloy offers extra credit and a group project. You won't be disappointed with this course.
I took her online Art Appreciation class. Super fun class. VERY easy A. She is not a tough grader. YOU DO NOT NEED A BOOK. She says you do, but I promise you that YOU DO NOT NEED IT. I NEVER used the book and got an A. You can easily do your work without it. None of the assignments even correspond with the book. Take her class. Only 6 assignments.
Give good input in Discussion boards and turn in your papers and you will pass.
Malloy's film class is a fantastic introduction to thinking critically about the art form. Grades are given through a handful of thorough analysis papers and a quiz or two, so apply yourself to these assignments. She really knows her stuff and she's awesome to talk to during in-class and after-class discussion. Very friendly, really engaging class.
Prof Malloy is amazing! She has clear expectations, she is available for help and she grades fairly! I truly enjoyed this class!
Professor Malloy is excellent! It's a pretty simple and easy class. Do the essays and discussion boards. All the assignments are up and ready. You have plenty of time to do them and you're able to turn one in late. She doesn't require any specific format. So, there's really no reason you shouldn't do them. I rented the book but I haven't used it.
Very great instructor. Everything was self explanatory. Clear instructions were given at the beginning of the class. Due dates were also given. You have ample time to complete all assignments. I would take this class again.
I took humanities 1: prehistory through the middle ages, and it was honestly one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Ms. Malloy was very clear on what all she wanted out of us, and our work. There were only 4 super long assignments that had to be 4-5 pages. I definitely recommend her!
This teacher doesn't really give busywork, but every assignment tends to be a professional essay. She often leaves comments, but it tends to lead towards complimenting what you did right and not towards how you can improve. Unless you want a professor telling you how you actually feel, even though you already know the truth, don't take her class.
I took 2 of her classes. In both classes all of the grades are based on solely papers. She is a hard grader & whenever you email her, her responses are rude. For classes that are pointless, that everyone has to take in order to graduate she grades way too hard. I've been an A student all 4 years of college (Nursing), and I just passed with a C.
Dr. Malloy was great! She lays out everything on blackboard for you to see the first week! Every time you submit a paper/discussion post - it's graded early the following morning. She gives good feedback. 4 papers - MLA format on all. Last one is an art analysis paper. 4 discussion posts - very specific on what is required. TAKE THIS TEACHER/CLASS!
Overall great teacher! I struggle with art but had no other choice. I ended the summer semester learning more than I thought I would. Solid grader. Only four big assignments plus midterm and final. Participate in discussion board, easy grade there.
Sweet professor! Easy enough, but you still have to work. Paper and writing heavy, yet totally doable. She gives great feedback, and genuinely wants you to succeed. Would take her again and again.
She is an amazing professor and very passionate about art of film. I would recommend her to everyone but there are a lot of essays to write as the exams.
Ms. Malloy lets you know at the beginning what is expected for assignments. As long as you do the reading and turn in your work on time you shouldn't have a problem passing this class.
Took this class for a humanities requirement. Malloy gives good feedback on assignments and provides help/answers questions along the way through email. However, her blackboard site is confusing to navigate because it is very cluttered. Take the time at the beginning of the semester to go through the site and find what you need.
Her workload & expectations of you aren't bad. Be sure to take note of deadlines! Grading criteria can be hard to follow sometimes, but if you have questions, she replies to emails fairly quickly. Overall, I think this class was easy to do, just be aware that if you want to know what you specifically missed points on for essays, you email her.
HUMN 2113 8 week course. Professor Malloy is wonderful. She obviously makes you work for the grade. There were 4 essays to write and two blackboard discussions, no tests, no quizzes. Very simple and easy A as long as you turn everything in and show that you are trying.
I took Professor Malloy for an online, 8 week Humanities 1 Course. We had 4 papers, which counted as your tests, and like 4(easy) discussions. Nothing else due. No zooms or textbook use, she grades really easy and if you try even the least bit it is so easy to get a good grade. Take her! Such an easy A and gpa boost.
Professor Malloy is hands down my all time favorite teacher. Ever. She's tough, she pushes you, she will give you an F in a second if you deserve it. But she takes time to help you, develops you as a student and as a person. She expects you to act like a grown up and take care of your business because this isn't high school anymore.
8 week online-It was 4 papers and 4 discussions for your entire grade. I did all my research online, didnt use the textbook. Very responsive and thorough in questions through email. Grades fairly. Only needed 2 points to get an A and she still rounded my final grade to a 90 bc I told her I wanted to keep my GPA! She wants you to succeed!
Do not take this professor if you want an easy class. If you want an A she is going to make you work for it, if you're cool with a B she's chill. very unclear with what she wants in her papers, and she usually doesn't respond to emails until after an assignment's due date. The class was 4 papers and 4 discussions. good luck.
Great professor overall. 4 discussions and 4 essays. The textbook isn't necessary. You can get through this class with research. Assignments are due on Tuesdays at noon. She allows one late assignment. Not super tough at grading. Make sure to throughly read the assignments, she's very specific.
Easy class! Only 4 discussions and 4 essays in 8-weeks. The essay grading was unclear, one I got a 100% then the same content style got a 79%. Still left with an A, just hard to read through email. She let us all work ahead which was nice, and I felt like she cared about us for the most part! I recommend for anyone needing an easy humanities!!
Very easy. Gave the homework for the entire semester the minute the course opened. Finished the class in four weeks instead of eight. She also graded everything the minute I turned it in.
