Ann is one of the most amazing teacher I have ever had. Her passion for history rubs off on you.She does not have a huge work load, but you will work hard. If you only do one thing at RCC take her class and be prepared to be amazed.

What can I say, I saw the comments here and decided to take the class. I definitely was not disappointed with my decision as Ann provided an excellent experience. Lectures were never boring, and workload was not bad at all. All I can say now is can't wait to take womyn's history!

Ann is a great Professor. This course was slightly stressful as far as essays, but that's to be expected. My essays were probably not that great, but she gave me A's on them. She's a very nice gal who's very approachable if you need to miss class for some reason. I highly recommend her classes.

I enjoyed the class and as long as I took the time to do my work, I got As on everything. It's easy to exceed the point value as long as u come to class. The hardest assignment is the book report.

I was suprised to find that Ann was teaching black history. But she teaches it well and I feel comfortable talking to her about the past. I hope she countines to keep the passion for history and stay in the field. I imagine her retiring at a history museum or something. She cares a lot for her students and she is definately in my top 3. She's awesome inside and out. I had for history 6 and 7.

Her class was fun! But she changed her class guidelines. She now does essays, midterms, finals, and so on. Prior to her class, I heard that all she gave out was definitions but she told us that now she will give us tests and essays. The workload is very heavy, lots of reading and memorizing sources! There are some papers to turn in but she is an esy grader. Her test can be challenging if you do not prepare. However, it was an entertaining class and if you attend class, there is no reason not to pass her class.

I never used to enjoy history class back in high school, but I loved lecture with pfiefle because she made history interesting to learn about. She made us read the book by giving us a source analysis paper to do. SMART. If it wasn't for that I would have never cracked my book open. Quite a few papers than I expected but everything was easy and fun

Ann makes history fun to learn, even if the class is 3 hours. She keeps you entertained the whole time. There are not very many assignments, but the few she assigns are big, somewhat difficult, and worth a lot of your grade. If history is not your thing, take it with Ann. She makes it worthwhile.

I took her for summer. She is very nice and her lectures are very entertaining! The downside was she required you to purchase a new online book for the code ($75). There was no way out of that due to the tests being online with the book. Besides that she made the 3 hours fly by. She assigned a ton of work, but it was still a good class.

Take her if you don't like history. Even if it's just a required class to take. It's a class you won't get bored. She's funny. Explains everything clearly. There's a book report and a project that aren't hard. Plus only two test which she explains what to expect. If you put the effort, you should get a good grade in the class.

I've taken as many classes as I could with Ann - she suggests to call her that as she prefers it to anything else. She' made History interesting and is always lively and informational. There are a couple of tests and some essays, but that's all you really have to worry about. Pay attention in class and do some reading if you need!

Her History of American Women was seriously so much fun. She was always clear and unbiased when she lectured so please don't think that she's in there throwing men under the bus. The books were super interesting to read and I never missed a single lecture due to my high interest. Please take it, especially if you're male! It makes her happy to see.

If you can take her class, take it. She definitely knows history and is passionate about it and that shows in her lectures and her life stories. The class is interesting and you learn a lot. Lots of interesting videos too. Just read the book and the class will be a breeze! I absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a history class.

Wonderful, hilarious, inspirational and dedicated professor. Make sure you read and are participating in class discussions if you are taking the honors course. Papers are due about every other week. It wasn't always easy to score a high grade on the essays. Luckily, there are other ways to keep up your grade if essays are not easy you!

Not a PowerPoint lecturer. Her lectures are very interesting plus shes pretty funny. Personally it was hard to follow along without PowerPoint slides but thats just me. You have to read a book and write a 5 page essay. 3 other small papers (3-4 paragraphs). 5 paragraph essay on midterm and final. We got a take home final *thumbs up*

Professor Pfeifle is awesome, love her lectures, test questions are a little difficult but overall all essays and assignments are easy. She is understanding with any personal problem you might have but dont take advantage as she is a great teacher.

Ann is an outstanding professor. Her lectures aren't traditional (no powerpoint) but are much more effective & interesting. It might be hard to keep up, but its worth it for the funny moments. If you follow her assignment requirements, you'll be fine. Just make sure to at least skim the textbook. Overall best lecturer I've had up to date.

I would definitely recommend Professor Pfeifle for History 6. There are quite a few writing assignments, but shes a fair grader. Shes very funny and energetic. Youll need to read a book, and visit a museum for two essay assignments. Written and multiple choice exams. No powerpoint, lectures are all verbal w/ videos to supplement.

She makes history so much better! I took an 8 am class and she made being awake so early worth it. Two exams and extra credit is offered. She doesn't go off lecture slides which is different but makes for a better experience in my opinion. Very funny and really caring.

Exams/Midterms are worth a large chunk of the grade and have an essay embedded within them. Additionally, there is another essay on a book I didn't read. Essay was also worth a large percentage of the grade, which is why I ended with a C.

I loved Ann, she had amazing lectures and was very caring and understanding when outside life happens. The exams were essays and book questions, but overall easy. If you want a super chill class take Ann.

She makes the course not too difficult. 5 assignments worth 20% of the grade: Midterm, Two papers, Final, and Participation. Her lectures are engaging and entertaining. She generally did not reply to emails so make sure to ask questions in class.

Professor Ann is engaging and makes the course manageable. Assignments include discussions, essays, and exams. Unstuck AI was a helpful study tool alongside the provided materials. Overall, a solid class option.

I really enjoyed Professor Pfeifle's class. Her lectures were informative and fairly entertaining. Grades are based on 2 essays, the midterm exam, and the final exam (both of which include essays, and psrticipation. She's a very easy grader - just do the work.
