Tripplett is extremely unhelpful. She doesn't pick up homework so you never know if you're doing something wrong. She's scatterbrained and never has anything copied and she never has quizzes made.
Mrs. Triplett is not bad at all. She's really helpful and really clear in her teaching. This class is extremely easy if you come to class and if your IQ is over 10.
I loved Mrs. Triplett's class. She is extremely helpful and teaches math in a way that no other teacher I have had has. She's really clear in her lectures and her step by step instruction helps so much. You should definitely sign up with her when you want an easy A and an awesome teacher.
Mrs. Triplett rocks!
Mrs. Triplett is extremely helpful, LOTZ of extra credit, explains lesson well, NOT an old boring Instructor at all. Easy to make an A as long as you go to class and pay attention. N no she doesn't pick up H.W. it's not her responsibility to do so, if you have a question just ask and she will help you.
Take Mrs. Triplett if you can. She's extremely helpful and teaches Algebra really well. Trust me...take her.
AWESOME teacher! If you have to take math, take her if you can. She is the best math teacher ever!! Even if you never understood math before, you will learn fast with her, she is a math wizard. She explains everything so well that a monkey could make an A in her class.
This course is soooo easy, the teacher is very helpful with hw and quizs. She also gives out alot of extra credit.
Attendance is not that mandatory, but if you decide not to go to class, it is important to keep tabs on when tests are (they are not taken in class but in the Math Lab) and deadlines for extra credit and take-home tests. You will also need to know when to go in for class if there is an in-class test. Pretty easy to pass.
I recommend miss t anyday. She makes sure her students fully understand what she is trying to teach, and does a great job at it. Gives partial credit and many extra credit assignments throughout her class so needless to say its fairly easy to get an a in. Attendence is not manditory even through there is a quiz weekly
She is the EASIEST professor That I've ever taken. The attendace is not required, but reading the textbook is mandatory...
The best thing about her is that she really knows her stuff. She is also very understanding and will work with you if you need extra time for turning in assignments.
Triplett was a great prof. She moves at a faster pace but will slow and break it down when students need her too. This lets the class move along at a nice pace. Homework stinks but instills the skills
all of the homework is done online which means you have to buy a new book with the cd program. her interaction with the class is minimal. she is willing to help. but a lot of people are too intimidated, so be aware of that. she teaches right to the very last minute she has. very hard if you tend to skip class. even if its just 1 day.
Ms. Triplett is a very easy techer!!! I previously took algebra in 2004 and made a D so I was dreading taking it again. She is very helpful and will answer any questions and make sure you understand the content before moving on. My math lab is used and is very helpful for tests and boosting your average a few points if you do it. Never used the
She is the best math teacher I have ever had. You need to do the homework, and pay attention in class, but that's what you SHOULD be doing. She explains everything in langauge that's easy to understand - not "math speak." She is great about answering emails, questions and will spend time with you after class if needed. Definately recommend her!
College Alg; shes helpful and nice. She looks at your work on tests and gives partial credit. I've always had a difficult time in math, but with her it was a lot easier. She answers emails and gives extra credit. She also posts every little detail on campus cruiser in case you miss class. It's just kinda boring... Got a B, I'm terrible at math.
Really helpful. She DEFINITELY wants everyone to pass. If you are ever confused she will spend extra time with you, she gives take home quizes and lets math lab help with them. She just REALLY wants everyone to pass. understanding if miss class or test or quiz. I can tell she cares and is willing to help. Really hate math, but glad I had her class
Although she is not very good at teaching the material, she wants everyone to pass. Partial credit is given on everything, and she offers a million extra credit assignments. In any other class would have bombed the tests, in hers I got B's. If you're looking to learn, don't take this class. If you're looking to squeeze by easily enough, go for it.
Take her! Highly recommended! She is very helpful and pretty easy going. She can't make math more interesting but she can make it understandable and will work to the class's needs. Homework is online and simple.
Math is a dry subject and she somehow manages to make it EVEN DRYER... Very confusing with all her mistakes and corrections. Makes frequent mistakes on test reviews, quizzes and tests. Can never really trust the material she teaches or tests you on and the steps to solve problems. FRUSTRATING!!
Her class is extremely easy, she wants everyone to pass. A little confusing when teaching but she'll go back over anything. Very helpful when you miss a class or a test. Definitely recommend her.
Great teacher. im in the remedial class and she always makes sure that everyone is on the same page before moving on. She is also very helpful if you ask her a question outside of class. Fairly easy but this class doesnt count for gpa so well see how easy it is when i take college algebra next semester.
Professor Triplett is the best math teacher I've ever had. I don't know what I'll do when I can't take her classes.
Awful..I had to drop. She can not teach. Does not help you at all.
She is a great math teacher. If you talk to her and you keep up with your assignments she is always willing to work with you. She is very nice and helpful.
Great teacher.. will help whenever you need.. offers tutoring. answers all questions. goes a little fast sometimes, but ask her and she will repeat anything. grades generously...
Mrs. Triplett will give you the help you need if you ask questions and ask for help. She never gives up on any of her students and gives you an in depth review for each test. Take her class and you will pass if you put forth a little effort.
This class was horrible! I knew going in that being a math course that it wasn't going to be the easiest BUT wow it couldn't have been worse and though Triplett seemed very nice her teaching style wasn't helpful and she sped through every single problem and never made clear what would be on the exams. Be warned, it's a big risk!
Math is my hardest subject but I passed with a B. Very helpful and ultimately it is up to YOU to understand the material and do your homework. Class was all lecture. I just finished summer 0350 and taking college alg with her again. Also adds points to tests and curves grades. If you work your butt off, you cant possibly fail. Don't blame teachers
I just finished my summer Math course w/Prof Triplett. I cant begin to express what her math class meant to me.I went from a D student to an A student. She is an amazing teacher and her lectures are amazing as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING ALL OF HER CLASSES.I HAD TO WAIT OVER A YEAR TO BE HER STUDENT AND IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT.
Math in my experience had been really hard, this teacher made my life easy in the way that she teachs every aspect of math make sinces and she is very clear on how to apply formulas and when. in my opinion she is great!!!!!!
Prof. Triplett was the best math teacher I ever had. I am working my schedule next semester so I have her for college algebra. I have a HORRIBLE Prof. this semester and it is clear that a teacher can make or break your grade. TAKE HER CLASS!!
Love her! Of course math isn't very enjoyable, but she fully understands the material. She takes the time to listen to your questions, and grades fairly easily on her tests. I would definitely take her again.
Very nice and helpful, however the class is pretty boring. There's a lot of writing problems on the board and watching them being solved by the teacher, no hands-on learning. Mrs. Triplett really cared about her students, and you can tell she really wants everyone to succeed :)
sitting in her stats class currently...might as well be an online class. All she does is read the slides that are posted online. Easy class. Teacher is nice. Class is boring as all hell
Really easy teacher, she will explain how you can pass the class. I recommended if you struggle with math.
I loved Mrs. Triplett! A lot of people thought she moved too fast but she's just having to keep up with the schedule. If you take good notes and do the homework it should be a reasonable class. Definitely recommend!
GREAT TEACHER!! I HAD HER FOR MY COLLEGE ALGEBRA CLASS AND SHE MAKES TOPICS VERY CLEAR. SHE GAVE US EXTRA CREDITS OPPORTUNITIES FOR EACH TEST AND WOMEWORK IS WORTH 20% OF YOUR FINAL GRADE.
This teacher is the best teacher ever , she gives extra credit and i really love her explaining way she is very easy take her !
She is AMAZING!!! Her class is overall very boring, but it's a really easy class I thought, especially since it's statistics!!! Would definitely recommend her!! Gives reviews for test and extra credit!! Thanks Ms. Triplett for being AMAZING!
She is very easy going. Her tests are relatively easy if you work on her sample tests. Her lecture coulde be boring. Overall, take her because its easy a
I hate math always have and always will, i havent been in a math class in six years and i got a B. I missed a lot of class and she worked with me. She moves fast in class but tutoring helps.
math is a very difficult subject ive taken quite a few math teachers and triplett is by far the best! im currently taking her summer course and I must say she is awesome. Would def reccommend her, so glad i signed up for her class
Professor Triplett is wonderful. The nicest math teach I've ever had. I hate math with a passion and always barely passed due to my dyslexia. Professor Triplett put everyone at ease even during tests! If you are not good at math, take her!!! You won't regret it. She takes her time, answers any questions, and has multiple choice tests.
She is wonderful!! If you have a hard time with math, then she is the one you want! She's very thorough, can explain things so anyone can understand & she goes over all of your test reviews so you know what to be prepared for! She WANTS you to pass & it shows!! I highly recommend her and she teaches all kinds of courses which is a plus!
Very good teacher. It's obvious that she wants her students to do well and is very willing to help. She explained everything thoroughly and in an easy to understand way. Offers extra credit on tests.
Professor Triplett is a bit dry and her voice is monotonous, but she's a nice lady. An effective teacher, she offered plenty of help to students who needed it. Extra credit opportunities for every test, and the option to email her if you needed help. I recommend this teacher.
Mrs. Triplett is one of the best algebra professors I've had, her notes are amazing you can print them off and really focus in class. The Homework online is really clear on what you need to do, and helps when you're taking exams later. If you're terrible at math in general trust me this is the professor you want.
Sweet teacher, wants you to succeed, but she literally just reads off the power points that she got from the publisher. Her voice is gratingly monotonous, and she doesn't break down the concepts at all. Everyone is lost. Doesn't try to make the tests difficult at least, so you need to go to MathLab or study hard on your own. Book sucks, too.
She is a nice person, but she moves through the material far to fast. I struggle to keep up. It's hard to write down everything and understand at the same time.
Provided you do the homework (It actually counts for a grade) you will do good, I put in a lot of time but it was worth it. It was an easy A. She is really nice and helpful.
taking her for summer. very thorough on her lectures and what she wants us to know. super nice and willing to help. very easy going. Mrs. triplett if you see this ...you are an awesome teacher!!! wish i can take her again for other classes. definitely recommended.
I took her for stat...It was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken! Defiantly recommend taking her class. Tests are pretty easy! But her lectures are boring. My friend was on ESPN every class and he received an A
I took her for stat. It was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken! Defiantly recommend taking her class. Tests are pretty easy...lectures are extremely boring. It's not hard to receive an A in this class.
Ms. Triplett definitely knows what she's talking about. She doesn't often ask if anyone has questions, but when she does, she goes into GREAT detail re-explaining. She is a relatively easy grader, as she gives partial credit to questions you got semi-right. This class was a little hard for me, but with close attention in class, it's pass-able.
This woman is a math teacher GODDESS. Amazing! 80% test grades 20% homework grades. Take 4 online practice tests with infinite attempts to make up your lowest test grade. I absolutely suck at math and didn't take it for years and passed her class! She's super helpful and understanding, she'll do a lot for you to pass!
If you have problems with math, take this woman. She is amazing and is capable of teaching to every level of learning in the class. I would take her again if I could for other classes!
The teacher is good but the subject is very hard if you do not come to class you will fall behind there is no extra credit and homework is due every week or 25% is deducted you will work for your grade
She is a great professor. I took this same stats course last semester with a different prof and had to drop since I was failing with a 50. Now, it's almost the end of the semester with Mrs. Triplett and I have a high B. She lets us use a note card on the tests and lets us do practice tests at home to replace a low test grade. Highly recommend!!!
I took her for precal and enjoyed the class. I learned a lot and proffesor Tripplet made the material easy to follow. She posts the notes online in which you can just follow and not scramble down during class . Great proffesor and is there for you when you need help and responds to emails fast. Highly recommend her!
Let's you use note cards on tests, gives you a review. Show your work even if it's wrong you'll get most of the credit. Got a 98 in the corse and couldn't tell you what I learned. Online homework helps tremendously, she's very helpful wants you to pass and always available for extra tutoring. Highly recommend if math isn't for you!
AMAZING! TAKE HER! Your GPA will thank you if you have to take a math and aren't strong in it. She is a very forgiving grader. As far as learning the material needed to ace the class it doesn't get easier to learn than learning from her. She explains it until you get she won't give up on you! She is so so sweet too! I only wish I had taken her 1st.
Prof. Triplett is great for both the math wiz and the math phobic. Gives helpful worksheets throughout the semester to supplement StatLab. Three exams and a comprehensive final. You get notecards for all four. Best math teacher I've ever had. Down-to-earth and helpful. Doesn't fixate on your mistakes, just helps you correct them.
I am a math guy so there were people who dropped pre-cal, but there we people like me who made an A. Just gotta find your learning style. I was able to pass this class without taking notes, but many classmates passed with A's and B's. It's tough as the weight of your grade is on the tests, but she teaches so well. Just don't rush the tests.
BEST. TEACHER. EVER.
She is absolutely the best professor you'll have in math. I'm going to take her for every possible math I can!
There are 4 exams, which include the final, which are worth 80% of your grade. The other 20% comes from completing your hw. You will have to make time for STATS or else you will not due well. She also allows you to replace your lowest test grade by getting the average of your practice tests on pearson
Amazing professor !!! Easy A
I had to drop pre-cal the first time I took it. I took trig before I re-enrolled again. Trig helped but I still wasn't good at it. Triplett has been the first professor to actually make me fully understand trig. Everything is so easy for me now! She breaks it down in a way that actually makes sense, no other professor has done that for me. Love her
About to finish precal, and those saying it's an "EASY" A must be good at math. But if you apply yourself, you have a better chance with Mrs Triplett than most. There's a TON of material covered, so you can't miss class. Couple chapters of hw due weekly, plus 4 tests (1 grade can be replaced) and the final. No extra credit, so dont fall behind !!
Mrs. Triplett was an amazing instructor! I was really worried about taking pre-calc, but she explained everything really well, to the point where you actually understood the material. She gives you a formula sheet for every test, which is taken in the testing center (unlimited time!). Gives partial credit for every problem. Fills up fast, take her!
Professor Ann is so sweet! She lets you use a 3 by 5 notecard on the test as a cheat sheet. You will need a mymath connect code to log in online to do homework. You do not need the book though as most of the information comes from the powerpoints. She gives you access to everything if you want to work ahead. She is not hard at all you guys, take!
If u have not taken math for more than 12 years, take her. This was my second time taking precalc. I could have made a B if I studied more. She posts notes with picture which helps a lot. She drops your lowest test grade. Make sure your algebra skills are up to par. A negative squared is a positive! This is an easy A if you make the time to study.
Took her for Calc 1 and she is a great teacher that cares about her students but be aware that her tests are quite heavy sometimes, class average was around 75 and the tests are worth 85% of your grade so be prepared for that
I've had Professor Triplett for two classes now, she is absolutely amazing! She gives you plenty of examples while she teaches, basically, she teaches a class through examples and work her way up, which is very easy to understand and work along with. And if you do the practice she recommends, her test is VERY similar to the examples you have done.
Hands down the best math professor! Homework is just to check for comprehension, not busy work. Manageable chunks of information in words I can understand. Happily explains things again or goes back to a topic to make sure we understand. Be sure to keep up with homework and talk to her if you have questions. Take her! You will not regret it
This teacher reads directly from the PowerPoint, barely engages with the class or give examples. This class is mainly all on MyMathLab so get ready to buy Chegg and teach yourself. I just retook it and passed with a different teacher so I suggest you do the same. She also marks you absent if you are more than 10 minutes late.
amazing. the most caring teacher Ive ever known. She truly wants her students to succeed not just in her course, but beyond. She GOES above and beyond for everyone and deserves recognition. She helped me as best she could during a very dark time in my life while I was taking her class. If youre looking for a great STATS teacher- look no farther.
Would not recommend this teacher unless you like lectures. Everything was just repeated stuff read from the powerpoint. Very boring!
Literally the most laid-back, caring professor Ive had. She allows students to use notecards for tests, offered extra credit and is always wanting and appreciates her students feedback. I took statistics, by default, its not an easy class, in order to get an A you HAVE TO STUDY-however, she will give you everything you need to study. 10/10
She's an amazing professor it's just the actual curse is very hard. She only has MyStatLab and tests that she grades so do those on time. She does care and helps you a lot if you need it. She knows how to explain and teach a problem, but statistics is such a hard subject to learn. Take her !!
Stats is hard - Triplett was amazing. She really does care about your success and will work with you. I enjoyed her class because of her. truly she leaves an impression on you. Definitely one of the best professors at TCC. I dont think I would have done as well in the course if she wasnt my professor. Very smart lady!
Mrs. Tripplett is the goat. I was scared for calculus, but she taught it well. For me, I had to sit in the class for a long time, and on some occasions, I almost fell asleep. Calculus is fun, and she is a great teacher. If you are taking her, try not to fall asleep. You can miss something important... that's what happened to me...
Boring class and monotone , you loose attention easy in this class
Not the best teacher, she loves to talk about statistics but honestly, I hated her teaching style. Very boring class and I caught myself having to teach myself a lot of the stuff.
If you are looking for a good statistics professor, this is not the one you want. She talks super fast, gives a heavy amount of homework and only gives you a few days to do it (sometimes will change due dates without warning),and reads off the PowerPoint word for word. She doesn't ask if anyone has any questions after she goes over material.
she is okay she talk a lot really hard to understand her I won't take any classes with her again!
Professor Triplett, it is great. If you don't understand something, she can answer your question. I took Pre-cal, and you must complete a lot of homework every week. Everything she teaches is on the test. Also, on Modules, you can find helpful material to help you understand.
She is amazing, nice, calm, caring, and occasionally funny. She offers plenty of reviews for the exam, gives a good amount of homework, and is always there for her students. You will thank yourself later for taking Calculus 1 with her.
Her teaching style isn't for everyone, but it worked for me. She goes through examples from guided notes in class and has test reviews before every test. The tests are exactly how the information was presented in class and she is willing to work with students and answer questions, and she gives good feedback on where you went wrong during a test.
Mrs. Triplett was a very good professor to have for Calculus I. She explains new topics in a way that makes them easy to understand and apply. Professor Triplett does tend to move fast during lectures so you need to be ready to take notes, and if you have a question don't hesitate to ask. Overall this course was super good and I enjoyed learning!
She is a kind lady, cares about the success of her students, does well in communicating important announcements to the class, and responsive to emails.
Statistics is hard but professor Triplett made it easy for us. First part of semester was easy but it became harder towards the end. Hope she uses easy terms when lecturing She is knowledgeable and very accessible outside of class. If you ask question, she will make sure you understand before moving forward. . Thank you professor Triplett
Mrs. Triplett was a great teacher, all the homework is on the website "ALEKS," I struggle with math but I was pretty successful in this class. Not a hard class as long as you study.
Prof. Triplett was one of the best math instructors I ever had.
Professor Triplett is great at explaining complex Calc 1 topics. Lectures can move fast, so stay engaged and don't hesitate to ask questions. Tests are challenging but manageable with study tools like Unstuck study. Overall, an enjoyable and rewarding course.
Very kind, helps students with anything they don't understand, long detailed lectures with premade notes available in canvas, tests are held in the testing center outside of class on your own time (I forgot and had to drive back to campus many times), personally I was very bored in class and could not stand her voice/speech patterns, easy A
Great algebra teacher, but i don't like the fact that we cant use graphing calculators and use basic computing calcs w/o graphing. Lots of hw online but easy 100s. Test are easy if you use her supplied guided notes and pay attention in class and study for a few minutes before tests. overall if you have some knowledge in algebra already your good.
Pros: extra credit opportunities, fair grading for tests. Cons: often put things on the test she said she wouldn't put, very monotone and not engaging, went too fast on certain topics for a co-req class, poor scheduling (didn't space out our tests evenly). Easy class if you pay attention and do the work, do NOT take her night time class though!
