Shes a really good teacher- she doesn't make gettin an A that hard- shes fair overall- and she keeps the stuff interesting. I actully didn't fall asleep in her class- she gives a lot of in class essays(which i'm not so good at)and take home essays-EASY C

she is a very very good teacher BUT she is also very TOUGH. It's SO SO SO HARD to get an A in this class!!!!

I took the 102 online course which consisted of 3 2 page essays and a 3rd essay for the final.there was alot of reading in this course but it was really interesting. I would recommend this class.

I took this class online and it was great! The books were really good too and I didn't feel overwhelmed.

I took this class online. Pretty easy. Just have to read stories and post messages on a board once a week, write three papers and final exam essay. Overall good class. Instructor helpful for being an online class.

Her internet class is super cool! Very easy A. I got mine without sweat.

Ms. Warren really made it easy to understand and to apply literature concepts. The course made the transition from "what is this?" to "I understand this" way easier. Internet course was clear, concise and presented in such a way that the student would enjoy learning. Professor Warren actively participated on line which was wonderful. I got feedback and learned more. The course had a bit of everything, ( poetry, short stories, novels ). I enjoyed the class.

I had her for English 101, 102, and 215. She rocks

I highly recommend this teacher. To me the class was an easy one, I received an A....It all determines weither you understand the material or not. Class discussions about the literature made classtimes a breeze.

She was a bit picky on her essays. But the other work was fairly easy.

What a charming, interesting, caring teacher. I was very ambivalent about taking an online class, but now I am a fan. Professor Warren actively participated in the discussions and always gave great feedback. She made the essays interesting and fun. Course materials were excellent. Made British literature a pleasure instead of torture.

Dr. Warren was very insightful and caring. One of the best internet classes I have taken. Not alot of work but, enough to keep you busy. Read your papers carefully before turning them in, she wil grade down for mistakes.

She's not that picky in her discussion questions, but she's quite strict on the essays.

Online course was pleasant. Nothing overwhelming. Discussion Questions were always fun because theres no real right or wrong answers. Essays weren't too bad, she does downgrade for errors. Overall, I didn't have a book but was able to find most material online or at LAHC library. So it IS possible to pass the course without it.I reccomend the class

This is a wonderul internet class. If you can follow directions and don't mind reading chances are you will do well in the class. This was an internet course and I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend Warren, she is very helpful and isn't too difficult or too easy. PERFECT!

Very scatterbrained. She can go on and on about an author and never touch the lesson plan. She is a good teacher though and explains things very well. You must earn your grade and she is quite fair.

VEry interesting class

Took 102 online with her. Probably didn't deserve the A, but I won't complain. Turn in essays on time, and read all 5 books and you'll be fine. I took it during summer and got an A. Very helpful also.

I highly recommend Ann Warren, her online classes are better than traditional classes. She is encouraging and supportive, while her classes are interesting, involving useful class message boards. I took English 205, 207, 214 & 215 online. She is prompt at replying by email, and really takes an interest in her students, she wants them to succeed.

I've taken about 5 courses with Ann and I must say that I absolutely LOVE her! Although I've never personally met her (online courses), she seems like the most laidback professor I've ever taken. I got A's on most of my essays and she allowed me extra time to submit my work when needed! Highly recommended!

She's still rockin! I'm taking another online class with her.....JUST FOR FUN!

Online course...very straightforward. Loved all the reading and discussion papers. I even liked the writing assignments. She would email them back and give you good feedback. Very fair and fun class!

Very cute and nice lady.She has this great personality that even makes Shakespeare interesting! She will explain not only the story but the juicy stories behind the writers. Makes the class much more interesting. She gives 3 papers and a final. Do your best since no revisions! Book use is not much, try to borrow or even copy the stories. Recommend

I took her class years ago back at Mission College! She is really helpful and laid back. Kind of upsetting to see that she has left the Eagles and moved on to Harbor College but nonetheless I am sure that she is still a great instructor! She knows how to make a dull subject come alive and always provides great definitions. Take her class, easy A!

Guaranteed A. Professor Warren is extremely passionate about the subject and if you just write what she wants you to write you will end up getting an A with relative ease. To be quite honest, I suck at English but Professor Warren walked me through the basics and I got an A in her class after getting a C in English 101! Must take during Harbor.

Professor Warren is the best English instructor I have had the pleasure to take. If you follow the syllabus, lectures, and read the books, you won't have too much difficulty with the essays, and an A isn't too hard to attain at all. It requires effort though, and an understanding of what you've read. I highly recommend taking her classes.

THIS IS A GREAT INSTRUCTOR I FOOK HER FOR ENGLISH 101, 102 AND GOING FOR 103. I REALLY DID NOT LIKE TO READ CERTAIN BOOK BUT TAKING HER CLASS I FIND MYSELF SOMETIMES PICKING UP THE BOOKS I GOT FROM HER CLASS.

Great teacher! she is kind of boring-but you do learn how to write well. Just go to her classes and write notes about what she says about the books and use that in your papers. Your grade is only based off your papers-so ask for help! Easy A

This was an online class. It was supremely easy in my opinion. Basically, you reada ecture, the material, then you post on the forum and start arguments with dumb people. This class was so easy/fun it was almost recreational. You'd have to shirk your responsibility pretty hard to get anything less than an A om this class.

Very helpful teacher. If you do all the work she has in the syllabus you'll do fine. She is very nice ans she will help you succeed in her class if you show her that you are interested in passing.

Professor Warren is Amazing! Her manner of teaching is fun and open. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about English. I recommend taking lots of notes because a lot of what she has to say was very useful and helped make writing my essays easier. She is VERY helpful so please take advantage and ask questions!

I took Prof. Warren for English 205, 206 & 207. Her classes are great! She's clear on what is required, is very friendly and approachable & offers a broad curriculum. I love to read so I found it easy, but in an enjoyable way. Learned a lot, too, particularly about how culture and history influence literature. Strongly recommended!

One of the best professors in the world, she makes you think.........so think and answer. You are never judged but you are respected, she makes you feel like a poet and a writer..................Prof. warren is a wondewrful professor and you will be lucky to be in her course.............trust me.

Love her! She's one of the best professors and can really help you improve on what you really need to improve. She's funny and easy to talk to and approachable. She does require a lot of reading on the books and there are essays, but she helps you talk about the book through class discussions. You should really take her, I'm glad I did :)

I took the online version of English 205 and found it to be both interesting and not exceptionally taxing on my time. The professor remains in the background and there is not much interaction with her aside from some brief comments that she gives concerning your grades on the few papers that need to be written during the term. Overall, an easy A.

Very nice lady. Essays were the bulk of the class (one every 3 weeks)but it was okay.

I took her online class. Her syllabus is clear and you can work ahead as long as the assignments are turned in on time. Take note of her corrections and make sure to participate. There are a lot of writing assignments, but it is an English class. She is very nice and responds to emails fairly quickly.

She's clear and straightforward and i like that about her. She tends to be serious when teaching but I think that's her style.. She's a nice person overall.

Awesome Class was not required to show up, but did anyways. The class discussions were interesting if you get involved and do the reading. She will help you anytime just have to stop by her office or email her. Take her class!!!

I took Professor Warren's online contemporary literature class. This class was easy, we had three essays, and discussion questions almost every week. We used several novels, and being an English class, the novels were used a lot. Some of the books used I did not like and some I did not even understand.

Professor Warren is amazing, and she teaches you the psychology of English. I have to admit I learned so much more about the way people and how to change their minds. She is so helpful, and is really nice and cares for students. She just doesn't bother to learn names, and that kind of bugged me. Pretty easy class

I enjoyed this class so much. Discussions where interesting since we analyzed all psych, themes, symbolism, etc,. in regard to Shakespearean plays. Reading is a must and the books have notes to help translate the meaning of the words. Overall, Mrs. Warren is a lovely person and I would recommend her.

Overall, a pretty good class to take online. The essays are graded fairly so you still have to work hard. The literature you read throughout the semester are actually pretty interesting. I would recommend this class to everyone! She also works around her student sometimes and moved the due dates if everyone else was struggling. Just keep up! :)

Excellent professor. She made English 102 very palatable with a good selection of Literature. She does not get as involved in the class discussions as Prof. Corbally does in his classes, but she leaves great feedback about essays. Communication can be slow at times, but she always responds to emails.

Great class. I had her for English 102 online and it was a very nicely structured class. Very good selection of readings. The weekly online discussions are very fun to participate it. Essays are straight forward and she doesn't seem to be a particularly tough grader.

Professor Warren's online class was the first online class I've taken. Ms. Warren's lectures are interesting. Assigned readings can be long sometimes. (Which is only a problem is you have a lot on your plate, but even then, still possible to read everything since it's interesting.) She takes a while to respond to emails so I suggest office hours.

Lectures are lackluster. Not a lot of homework, except a decent amount of reading and writing. She can be a tough grader. I barely scraped an A on the first paper, solely because of 3 minor mistakes that I somehow didn't catch. However, she does give great feedback and advice if you ask, and her tough grading pushes you to improve.

I took professor Warren for eng 102 during the summer. i was skeptical about taking an online class but her class was amazing. there was quite a bit of assignments but they were really easy and shes not too tough on grading.

ONLINE class: Fairly easy and straight-forward. Do NOT miss a discussion post; your grade will plummet. Set electronic reminders for assignments! Two mid-sized papers and one research paper. If you are looking for feedback, she does not provide very thorough responses. Almost all stories can be found online; no textbook needed. Recommended!

Great teacher

There are two essays, a research paper and project at the end but it's all pretty easy and she gives a lot of options for the papers and readings. The discussion questions can get annoying at times but if you do the work it's an easy A.

Took her for an 8 week long summer course. Prof Warren is hands down my favorite English teacher to date. She gave us amazing readings, and we often had choices for our discussion questions. There was a lot of reading, but ultimately, they were all pretty interesting. We had about four essays or so, but she wasn't too nitpicky. Very nice class .

She is very knowledgeable in the literature world. Essays are easy and you aren't really obligated to discuss things in class but the vibe she gives leads you to do so easily. Online reading and answer questions really quick. Great final project in which the student has options to choose from and display their own passion. Lectures can get tedious.

It was an absolute pleasure taking Professor Warren's online English course. She assigns amazing works of literature. We have 1 discussion question per week, 3 essays, and the final exam (which is super easy). She also responds to emails very quickly. Do not hesitate taking her class. I really regret not taking more courses with her!

Took the online 4-week course. Gives good reads. Isn't too tough of a grader. Only a few essays, but they're pretty open ended so they're not too bad. You do need to write a bit for the discussion posts compared to other classes (about 250-350 words) but it's English, it's expected.

I took Ms. Warren's English 102 course online during 2018 Winter Semester. She provided a clear grading criteria, along with expectations from her students. The course was discussion heavy, along with only two (2) essays, and one (1) Final Project. None of the work, including the essays were very hard. As long as you do your work, you will pass.

I love Professor Warren! She has amazing works of literature to read, I've taken her for English 205 and 206 and she gives you clear expectations. The glass consists of a weekly discussion, three essays, and a final. She also often gives you a chance for extra credit if needed, allowing you to support the arts on campus!

Summer 2018 - Weekly discussions, a few essays, and a project. Instructions were clear and straight forward. She's very encouraging and gives feedback on your assignments. She made me fall in love with reading books again! I wish I had taken her for English 101 (a decade ago) because she seriously is a great teacher. Best professor at LAHC!

Just take her course! Discussions every week with interesting readings. There are five topics you may choose from, which is a great thing. Critical on the papers but there are only 2, short and interesting. You will learn from the reading, I suggest focus on the reading and the rest will do its part.

Easy grader, gives good feed back, doesnt require a textbook. Just do the discussions (they are boring but very easy) and the essays. Shes an easy grader. Overall if you need a not difficult english teacher i would take with her

I took professor Warren's online course and it was amazing. It was my first online class ever and I would HIGHLY recommend her. Everything that is going to be assigned throughout the semester is posted from day 1. I knew exactly what I needed to read and when all my assignments where do. She is very organized and responds quickly to emails.

She is great!!! I took her online class, and she was extremely helpful & always answered her emails. She gives great feedback on papers and gives out extra credit. I recommend taking her class at LAHC

I loved all the reading she provided. The DQs were thought provoking and I loved her essay prompts, & the fact that she allows you to provide your own essay topics sometimes. If youre hesitant about taking an online course dont worry, this class is manageable as long as youre willing to participate to the level the course demands.

Professor Warren is such an amazing professor. I had previously taken her other online class last semester and I had such a pleasant experience I wanted to take her again. I was always scared of taking online classes but she is so organized and detailed that I had no issues at all. I would highly recommend taking her. Her readings are fun :)

Took Prof Warren for summer online and class is heavy on discussion posts and reading. But she provides most of the readings for you. Her class isn't hard, but expect a lot of work, but as long as you try and turn in your work - you'll pass with an A!

Professor Warren is a terrific educator, and this was my second class with her, and I learned so much both times! Not only does she provide a wealth of reading resources for the assignments but also provides great feedback on the discussions and essays alike. So, if you're an English major or not, Professor Warren is definitely there to assist!

Such a great teacher, I will miss her & her class! The instructions are clear, the discussions and papers are a big portion of points so do not skip them! You will need a textbook and make sure to do all the readings. Also, don't be afraid to ask her for help! She is approachable and insightful with her responses!

Her classes are automated with her website, there's very little interaction through Canvas which I can appreciate. Personally, I loved the literature she chose. Responding to emails was a little delayed, but for the most part, she gave great feedback. Get a lot of the reading done early, and you're golden.

I'm so happy I picked her as my professor. As long as you put in the effort you will pass this class. The readings for this class impacted my life in a good way. I wasn't expecting to be sad to move on from her class but I honestly am. Although it was an online class she seems very nice and encouraging. She also gave me good feedback for my essays.

Professor Warren was absolutely amazing. She offers a lot of extra credit and as long as you follow all directions this class is very straightforward and simple. This class had several writing assignments/ essays which she gives great feedback in order for you to improve next time. She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well.

Prof. Warren's class consists of 2 papers (3-5 pages), and a final exam that averages 3 paragraphs. Grade largely depends on contribution to online discussion boards. I felt disconnected bc of online format, and also feel like I didn't get as much as I should've out of the class. But Prof. Warren is excellent and very encouraging

Took her winter class- she puts her schedule up early, so you can finish work much earlier and get a lot of work done! Everything is online, no zoom, asynchronous. She only uses canvas for discussion questions but other than that, she has her own website- you send assignments via email. She provides a lot of the reading material and good feedback.

Professor Warren is awesome. I was in two of her classes in the Fall and am registered for another one in the Spring. Her grading criteria is clear, and it is obvious that she wants her students to succeed. She offers great feedback and always responds to questions. I highly recommend taking her class.

I took Professor Warren's in-person class in Spring 2023. She was so kind, wise, and patient. No textbook required. Lots of extra credits. If you do well in class (90% or above), you will be excused from the final big boss paper. WOULD recommend taking her class! However, as far as I know, she already retired from teaching.
