Ann Webb is a very kind professor unless you dont do your work and give respect. There is a total of 3 essays and 1 group project. Attendance isnt mandatory but if you miss a class on a day you have an in class writing you dont get points for that assignment. They final is a self reflection and an easy 100% as long as you show for the final.

Mrs. Webb is an overall fantastic teacher. She is very passionate about teaching. She takes her job serious and she is there to teach. She does not offer extra credit. Do the work specially the journal entry assignments and peer review, believe me they add up and it makes a huge difference on your grade! I'd definitely take her class again.

She was cool at the beginning but the semester is almost over and Ive missed 3 days and my grade is an F I had a high B like 2 days ago.. she takes forever to grade and the attendance thing is just really annoying

Professor Webb is among my favorite English related teachers in all my years of education. She does a great job giving feedback on rough drafts and she gives you a generous amount of time on papers.

Mrs. Webb is amazing if you do your work and show respect. She will help you if you need it, however, not if you show up wanting help after you receive a bad grade, talk to her beforehand! She is very caring and wants everyone to be able to achieve their dreams.

she's nice and cares about your grade. the assignments are different, but they're easy and fun. show up to class and do your best and you'll pass no problem

I literally love her so much, took her for com102 and now I wish I had her for 101. passed with almost 100 percent in the class. the assignments are simple and explained very thoroughly. honestly the only way you won't get an A or B in this class is if you purposely try to fail. 10/10 would recommend she's a complete sweetheart

Mrs. Webb is one of the best teachers Ive had. As long as you go to class, pay attention, and do all your work youre guaranteed a good grade.

I took her online class and it was an easy A. She gives you enough time to complete your papers (only 3 were due). There are weekly journals that only have to be one page. Also, only 2 peer reviews to complete. She is strict about her deadlines. As long as you follow her instructions and put some thought into your papers, you should have no issue.

Reading and writing are not my most vital skills, but Professor Webb made writing enjoyable. If you put in the time and effort in this class, you should have no problem getting an A.

You really have to participate and get to know Webb to see that she is an incredible resource and person to talk to especially for first semester freshman. Her class was really refreshing and Professor Webb will be sure to give you good critiques on your writing. You really do have to put the work in though but if you do you'll be fine.

Take Prof. Webb for your COM needs! She is hilarious and has the biggest heart. You do need to do the work and to come to class, but if you do that then you will have an easy time in her class.

Hate writing? Me too until I took miss Webbs class. The journals are awesome and I really enjoyed them. She treats us like adults and has good expectations. Real quick to answer emails and always offers to help.

She is so caring and wants her students to succeed. English is a lot of writing so be ready to write a lot. Overall if you turn your assignments on time you would get an A.

It's only been about three weeks into the semester but seeing these bad reviews makes me so sad because Professor Webb is so sweet. She's very straight forward about what we need to do and so far the work load has not been bad at all compared to my other classes. She definitely does not deserve these bad reviews.

I've taken Miss Webb for COM 101 and 102, still confused why she gets these bad reviews. She is awesome. super caring, gives really good advice, and is always willing to share info that other teachers would skip or not share. Please ignore the bad reviews, she is seriously the best teacher.

She was a good instructor. She does have a firm grading method and attendance policy, but overall I think she wants to help you as much as she can and just wants everyone to learn to be a better writer and thinker.

In my opinion, Webb is an easy grader. She has expectations that are not hard to follow. This class gets you ready for COM-102. Lots of MLA formatting and papers. Easy if you know how to write and it comes naturally. Listen to her because she will help you. Respect her and she will respect you. Overall great professor!

She was my professor for com101 and com102 last year and she was amazing. She is pretty lenient when grading essays and gives feedback as long as your grammar and spelling are good. She really does care about her students as long as you care about the class and participate.

She was my professor for com101 and com102 last year. Com102 attendance was not mandatory so I wasn't in class a lot, but she was still extremely nice and caring towards her students. As long as you show up to class, treat her with respect, and participate, she will treat you the same way. By far one of my favorite professors.

I genuinely enjoyed this class, I took it online during the winter semester and she was nice and gave good feedback. She was easy to reach out to and helped me when I needed it.

If you're struggling in her class, you need to make the effort to ask for help. That was my mistake. Go to office hours or the writing center. She will help you out if you participate in class and treat her with respect.

Why all the hate for Webb? It seems like all these reviews are about coming to class. Attendance policy was in the syllabus. The class was hard and we probably shouldn't have read Frankenstein because everybody hated it, but Webb is a caring professor who has high standards but gives really good feedback. Don't listen to these ppl who failed.

I wish that my 101 teacher would have been as good as Miss Webb. Even tho this is an online class she gives a lot of examples and sites that help with our writing. In 101 we just wrote about ourselves and soundtrack of our life projects, but in 102 we are writing academic essays that I was not ready for. I have learned so much from this class!

My favorite class this semester! We are definately learning to write but Professor Webb CARES. She knows what is happening in our life and also wants us to be successful. I have liked the essay assignments and she puts a lot of time into feedback. She is also totally there to help during office time and over email. I wish she was teaching 102 soon.

I have liked our online so far. There seems to be a lot of littler assignments and then a few bigger essays. She always responds to my emails and gives good suggestions for improving my writing. I would take her class again.

I don't get why Ms. Webb has these bad ratings b/c I love her class. I have learned a lot about writing and being more aware of my writing. Def not a highschool writing class. She does require that we do all of the essays. There are journals that are fun and easy As. I think it would be a mistake not to take her class.

I took her in spring semester. She cares about all her students and replies emails pretty quickly. She also gives feedbacks for every essays.Ignore the negative reviews,if you want a great foundation for writing, just take her class. I'm international student so I was a little bit struggling as it was my first college class but it went really well.

I took her class in the summer and had a really great experience. I don't understand how people dislike her. She is an extremely kind and understand person and will work with you if you are struggling. Although, I wouldn't recommend taking this class in the summer as there isn't a lot of time to write essays.

If you have to take com101 at Moraine, take Ann Webb. Her writing class opened my eyes to rhetoric throughout daily life. I genuinely enjoyed our conversations, and she is very understanding. If you got a bad grade, you didn't do the work or used AI. You also have a wider choice for your papers. Be prepared to put in the work and you'll be fine.

I was worried but I'm glad I took her class. She helped me realize that I'm not actually a bad writer, I just need to put more thought into my writing. She's happy to answer question and give pointers. She's tough but fair and gives great feedback. Other than essays, no late assignments will be accepted so make sure you turn everything in on time.

She's so kind! She gets frustrated as any other human would if students are disrespectful. The late work policy is the main issues people experience, but just turn it in lol. She accepts no late work, 2 days max and every day is 5% off your grade. 4 essays but she gives so much time for each. Our last essay she gave us a month. Barely any homework!

Never really liked any of my English classes, but Professor Webb was caring and would give back good feedback on papers. She is tough on students who don't want to participate, but other than that, her policies are clear and fair. We had 4 major essays, and she gave enough time to complete them. The final is easy; it took like 10 minutes to finish.

Taking Miss Webb for COM rn. I like the theme of each assignment & how they work together. Gives time to do an essay and won't assign a new essay until the last one is graded. Yeah attendance is a part of your grade, but this can be an easy way to earn some points. I think she is my nicest prof at Moraine and her caring shows.

I took COM-102 as an online accelerated 8 week course, and it was a great experience. Professor Webb is so sweet and understanding. The workload was very manageable, and she was always willing to help when needed. Even though it was online, I went in person to meet her and really enjoyed getting to know her. I'd highly recommend taking her course.

Students who give her a low scores are people who get everything handed to them. Professor Webb gives detailed responses to your essays and shows where you lost points. There are some lectures that are boring, but most help you build as a writer. She is also not against the use of ai, unless you use it correctly, it's college. Take her!!!

I was extremely nervous for this class because I don't consider myself to be a writer. 4 essays and assignments that were building blocks for the essays. Used the online textbook about 3-5 times. 3 quizzes that were based on readings, read them BEFORE class and make notes. Available for online/in person help.Very nice professor, just try your best!

Professor Ann Webb is an excellent professor. She is kind, understanding, and genuinely cares about her students. She is flexible and supportive, and the essays she assigns are interesting and enjoyable. I had a very positive experience with her and don't understand why her rating is lower than expected. I highly recommend taking her class.

She's a great teacher and pushes her students to think and care about what they're writing. Didn't care for the group assignments though. Got a zero because one member had the assignment but didn't come to class when it was due. Check in with each other to make sure everyone is accountable.
