I had her 3 years ago and I still think of her fondly. She is great!!!

She was awesome, if you wanted to get an A in the class, and was willing to work and put a lot of effort in she would work with you. She grades you on your improvment rather than compared to the class.

Ann is awesome! She is willing to help everyone all the time. She has very flexible office hours, and will assist you before and after class. Her comments mean what they mean: no hidden messages. Take a class with her if you can!

Anne always explains everything in perfect clairty and will always be available to answer questions. She doesn't have class on Friday.. instead, an online "class" which usually consists of a post on the message board.. just make sure you do it!! I forgot quite a bit :/

Easy Course, IF you want an A you will get an A. She will work with you on all the papers and fairly easy.

Ann is wonderful. She made the class exceptionally easy to understand. She is concise and to the point. She approaches this class on a step-by-step basis depending on the writing assignment. Gives you a lot of feedback with regard to your drafts. Two pros: Friday's are usually off and consist of on-line discussion & research essay is not last.

Ann is the greatest english teacher I've had. She actually sets up the english requirements so she knows EXACTLY what you need to pass. No class on Fridays were awesome I loved it. She's a great overall teacher and cuss's in class i loved every minute.

I'm not really a fan of English classes, but Ann is quite possibly the greatest teacher I have ever had. She is incredibly clear with what she wants, and will provide a fantastic amount of information on rough drafts to help you pass. She doesn't believe in busy work, and she gets right to the point. Also, no class on Fridays! Best teacher ever.

Did you feel ripped off in ENG 111 when the teacher said you were a bad writer when you were actually quite skilled? Worry no more. Ann appreciates your awesomeness. Easily the best english prof out there. It's an easy pass and she doesn't make you do any BS work. Everything she teaches deals with the paper you are writing. Your biggest mistake would be not taking her.

Ann is a great teacher. She's clear and tells you just what to do to pass the class. All you have to do is pay attention, follow her suggestions and your writing will improve. AND then you'll pass the class! If you're having trouble with these classes take Ann's class.

Ann is amazing, no class fridays! she is extremely helpful and helps you pass as best she can. Best GSW teacher is had so far (ive had 3). As far as the book you can use any edition, go to ebay or amazon get one for two bucks dont buy it from the bookstore!!

Best professor I've had in my 3 years at BGSU. The way class is organized (no meeting on Fridays, just short assignments) is greats. She's laid-back, and actually WANTS you to pass the class with an A. She's willing to meet and discuss any of your work, and makes class fun.

Ann is amazing! I'm about to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in English Pre-Education with a minor in Professional Writing, and I had to come back back and write this. I loved Ann. Take her class!

She was a good teacher. Every friday was an online class so all you had to do was finish the little assignment before class. She says the "S" word alot but other then that she keeps you interested. Her grading is a hard. Helps to go to a writing tutor.

Ann is nice and chill, Writing is not my favorite or my strong point but she helped get me through. Only wanted us to buy is the portfolio she had extra books that we needed for only one paper. Sometimes i felt we would fly through things with the deadline and sometimes she can be a little unclear but if you go to conference hours its very helpful

She is super nice, very helpful, funny, entertaining, and she pretty much lets you write about whatever you want. The hardest part of the class was picking a topic because there was so much to choose from. She is very understanding, she treats you like she personally knows you and she really wants her students to succeed and will help in anyway.

Ann is the best teacher there is for GSW at Bowling Green State University. She has no class on Friday's all you have to do is the online assignment which are due the following Monday. Great teacher you should take her.

If you have to take GSW, Ann Westrick is the best professor there is. You would have to try to fail. Not that you don't learn. She's super understanding and helped me out a lot when I had trouble.

She understands that you do indeed have other classes with their own work, so if you come to her with an issue or any question at all regarding your writing, she tries her best to address it. No textbook or portfolio required; both online. Easy A.

She's very easy-going and helpful! I would definitely recommend taking the class with her as the professor. She's super funny and nice and likes to cuss a lot, which shouldn't matter since we're in college but it's nice because she relates to us.

She took time to help me and make sure I understood how to correct mu mistakes. She was also so easy to get along with and no friday classes!!

Professor Westrick was by far one of the best professors that I've ever had at BGSU! She's very funny and easy to talk to during and outside of class. Will give you very fair and accurate feedback on your work, if you the extra help she will provide it, making her class very easy to pass as a result. Need to attend class, reason I got a B.

Ann is a great instructor. Having her for my GSW class was perfect. She has optional classes and no Friday classes. She is very understanding and loves to curse. I would 10/10 recommend her. She provides you with all the text books you will need to complete the activities.

Don't let the lots of homework scare you, it's just the amount of homework you'd expect for a writing class, which is a fair amount. One of the BEST professors I have ever had. She is very easy-going, funny, and understanding. These writing classes can be brutally dull which can and has caused me to not pass. She makes this as easy as she can!

She is one the best instructors I have had. She does take attendance but some days are optional. Turn in the online class assignments and the rough drafts and you'll do good. You don't have to go to class on Friday, you do it online.

Ann was a great professor. She cares about you as a person and your work. She makes sure to give you feedback on all your papers making it possible to correct your mistakes. She also does not require textbooks and gives you all the tools you need to pass. Amazing professor.

I struggled with writing prior to her class and somehow every paper in her class I did well on. Highly recommend doing the rough drafts all the way so you get as much help as you can. Also having an online class on Fridays was amazing!

She is amazing. If I could take her for every writing class, I would in a heart beat. I highly suggest taking her class. When rough drafts are due, you only have to turn in the bare minimum (the paper doesnt have to be completed), but it will benefit you greatly to turn it all in because she gives in depth feedback that can perfect your paper.

Took Ann's children's lit. class online! She was incredibly organized and her instructions/expectations for assignments were made very clear. All material for the semester was posted in the beginning, so you can easily work ahead. Provided great feedback on assignments, so you knew what to fix for the next one if needed. Great instructor!!

Ann was by far the best prof I had in my first semester at BG. She has plenty of opportunities to get feedback, and she really helped me out when I had personal issues that delayed my completion of the research paper. My writing has greatly improved, and I am a lot more confident moving forward in the university thanks to her.

She is very helpful and is always ready to help you fix mistakes. She gives great feedback on your essays. You will write four essays and class reflections. Nothing difficult just your typical writing class. She is also very personal and responds to your emails fast. I definitely would take it again and recommend it to anyone.

Professor Westrick was who I wish taught me through middle school and high school to write papers. Her feedback is amazing and she allows you the freedom within limits to write about what you want to. Though most of your grade is from papers. She is not a hard grader as long as you put effort and meet her criteria. I would highly recommend her.

Professor Westrick was my favorite professor. She was so caring and understanding of every student and genuinely wanted everyone to do their best and reach their potential. While there were quite a few papers and assignments in this course, she always gave great feedback to help you and was quick to crack a joke. She made my day better every class.

Ann is amazing; hands down the best professor I've ever had. I hated writing but after taking her class, I was enjoying it. I recommend turning in fully completed papers as rough drafts. I turned in my final paper three weeks early and got a 100% because it was complete and I got good feedback. She is very strict on grammar and punctuation.

Ann is a phenomenal teacher and truly cares about her students. She is super helpful and gives great feedback. Her class is enjoyable and I learned a lot. This class has three papers that are the only thing in the grade book so make sure to follow the deadlines she puts in place and follow her advice or you won't do as good.

Ann is the best Writ prof EVER! She is very clear, straightforward, and wants you to succeed. There's two papers and one paper/notes assignment. She gives clear guidelines and has pretty flexible deadlines. Friday class is online and flexible. She's funny and gives great feedback, and so long as you turn things in on time and try, you'll be fine.

There were only 3 essays for this class, and she gave us so many resources to help us write to the best of our ability. She also set up the class so well so that we had enough time to complete what was due. 10/10

Good professor, lots of homework

After almost failing WRIT1110 twice, I thought I was doomed in this class. I ended up with about a 98%. She really allows for creative freedom when it comes to topics for papers. She explicitly goes through how she wants your paper to be written. She gives great feedback. She is also just hysterical she was always cracking me up.

She was a really sweet lady and if you asked for extra help, she provided it!

One of the best writing professors at BGSU. Highly recommend. Obviously be ready and have the time to write since this is a writing courses and you will do great.

You only have about four assignments and everything is straight to the point. If you turn in your full paper as a rough draft she will give you full feedback to improve. You do have to peer review but its not bad. Overall, Ann is very caring and she wants you to pass her class so you can get your credit and move on.

Honestly Ann is a great professor. She wants all her students to succeed I have no complaints about her. A lot of the time she doesn't make attendance mandatory on certain days Friday's you never have to come to class. She is always willing to help her students and she's pretty funny:)

Take your WRIT 1120 class with Ann! She is funny and very understanding. She has optional in class writing days when there is a paper due, and so most of the time class is cancelled. We also only had to do an online assignment for Friday's class if you take her Mon Wed Fri, so I ended up not having any classes on Fridays. Papers are pretty easy too

One of my fav profs I've ever had. If you just do the work and follow the rubric, chances are you'll get full points. Genuinely cares for all her students and is really clear when giving instructions and feedback. Willing to give accommodations on anything, all you have to do is ask.

Ann is by far the best teacher I've had, college or otherwise. She makes the class interesting, is very funny & makes you feel welcomed. While some of the assignments can seem daunting, as long as you give your best effort & listen to feedback, you'll do great. It's such a shame that I won't have her as a professor anymore. I really enjoyed having this professor. She was super nice and easy to work with. Her classes were interesting, and she is a very reasonable grader. She has a midnight-ish due date policy, where assignments are not due strictly at 11:59pm, and this made it way easier and less stressful to get things turned in on time.
