if you have troubles with math she will help you because she explains and goes step by step she slowly explains which will make everyone understand... she is nice

i cant believe how many ppl thot she was hard. not the best at explaining but really easy. honestly u kinda had to be stupid not to do well in her class. i mean try a little at least n ur cool. da ppl who said she was bad were lazy

A very nice teacher. would do anything to explain problems you might have. Sample test before every test guides you. If you find her class difficult it might be that you are not ready for college. Make sure to do the assigned work.

Her class isn't too hard. As long as you do the assigned homework you will be ok. The class is kinda boring, but if you put some effort it's not hard to get a good grade.

Please if you read this , do yourself a favor , Dont take this teacher. She is never smiles, and can explain a simple fact like 2+ 2= 4 for an entire week. And dont be shocked if she expects you t write whatever she said in the quizes. ya rwrite a book on 2+2= 4.Terrible and depressing.

Pretty easy teacher. Got an A. Very monotone and bored but overall good teacher.

She says herself: I don't care if the student attends, as long as they perform well on the tests. But be WARNED: if you skip, you will not get the grade that you want, and may end up repeating. Nice person, but won't hesitate to give you what you deserve if you screw the class, then screw up on the exam :)

Good teaching method, writes good notes. Exams and quizes are basic, she won't try to trick you. Some of the questions are taken right out of the homework, the rest are similiar to homework, or to examples done in class. If you don't like going to class, only doing the HW will suffice, if you don't like HW, go to class take notes, you'll do fine.

Very good teacher! She gives pre-test that are exactly like the actual test. if you study those and do your homework you will pass no prob. Good Luck!

She will repeatedly go over problems you do not get, very organized and will take extra time after class.

One of the best professors at pierce. She's very, very organized and easy to understand. She makes her lectures interesting and her tests are easy. If you can't at least pass her class you are a moron.

Professor Forkeotes gives clear lectures and easy tests. Just spend some time studying and you'll find her class a breeze.

It bothers me that people have said such awful things about Ms. Forkeotes! Though she is a bit quiet and unhappy looking much of the time, she's a bright lady! Who wouldn't be bored teaching a math class!? If you study and participate she'll love you. She only takes interest in the success of the class which from what I saw was quite low!

Well from my experience, I think she taught the subject very well even though she kind of rush towards the end of the semester.She'll be a very attractive professor if she smiles more often.

She was a good teacher, but just the class being an online one is pretty tough... i thought it was going to be a breeze, but little did i know. She's helpful though, but in general, i just dont recommend taking a math course online especially if one is not that great in the subject anyway.

"O.M.G" Did some one say the class was HARD. Now that is a reason to slam the teacher. I think she is HOT, in a librarian kind of way... And YES I did see her smile once. She's going too fast? Well maybe you're just a "little bus" kind of person... If you don't get "math" you probably wont get the "teacher" either.

it's funny how only failing student give bad reviews. well she was great. test are not hard and not alot of HW. she is very nice and knowns her stuff. not impossible to get an A, like some have stated. TAKE HER!

she was wonderful! very helpful and nice. she will make efforts to push your grade up. it is true that it's a hard class but it's the material, not the instructor. i would probably take her again.

Even though the class was not easy, she was great professor because she is always happy to help people in her office hours. I learned a lot from her.

She is an excellent teacher. What are you guys taking about? She plans the class, she posts her notes on a web-site so you can print. Then if you bring them to class you just can fill in the blanks with all the examples she gives. She is very knowledgeable. You can go to her office and she will help you. I think she really enjoys math and teaching.

Best teacher i've ever had, as long as you do the homework and get a 70% on her test you will pass it, all you need is to put a little motivation and dedication to your work and youll be allright. I mean as loong as you work hard is all good, You must be a dummas if you dont pass her class because shes an excelent teacher.

She is a good teacher.She explains everything very well,very open to help in person or by email,she replies to emails within a day,she is a fair grader (gives you some points for a problem even if you do not make it completely right). All problems in tests are from the book. Homework is quite simple. You can get an A! And she is a VERY nice person.

Most people in this class rarely showed up, procrastinated doing the homework and studying, and failed. This is calculus, NOT child development. Review all her notes and ALL assigned homework problems (with solutions manual), and go to office hours and you should get a minimum of a B or possibly an A. WORK HARD!!

we used Elementary Algebra by Sullivan. I dont know if my previous knowledge in Algebra helped or if she really was the best instructor, but I loved her. It felt like she explained things as if I were in like 2nd grade or something! Yes, you use the textbook for hw and tests are with scantrons. Took the class Winter 2010

Underrated professor; she teaches her subject well, exams and final were both extremely straightforward. Hard to see how Calc 101 could be made easier, actually. 20% of the grade goes to quizzes and hw, and following the second exam the quizzes were take-home. What she lacks in charisma she makes up for with intelligence and subtle humor.

She's kinda strict and not a fair grader. She tried to explain the materials to the class, but still it was CONFUSING. The tests were different from the lecture and hw. She gave us the ol hw, and really it was not helping you for the test.

Math is not necessarily my strongest subject, that is why I am glad I took this professor. I got a C only because that was my fault, not hers.If you ask her questions she is ALWAYS willing to take time during class to discuss.She gives a lot of homework because it really does help you succeed in understanding the material.She is very kind and funny

She's great teacher, but she is strict, don't take her if you don't want to learn and give effort to study for test.

Great professor; gave a very elegant and intuitive presentation of the material also introducing rigor. I received a high A in her first semester Calculus course for math majors (I even got 100 on the second exam which most kids in the class did poorly on) and my advice is this: don't over think the material, for it's a lot simpler than it appears.

She's brilliant and underrated. I'll never forget the second exam where the class average was a 50% and I was the only person who got 100%. A bunch of stupid girls had the audacity to say the exam was flawed when in reality it closely emulated the homework, only it required conceptual understanding. Take responsibility for your failure people.

She isn't that bad. Seriously. If you show up to class and do the homework you will pass! I promise. There is a lot of homework but it's worth it because it prepares you for the tests. I got an A and this was the first math class I took since high school which was 17 years ago. If I can do it, so can you!

Forkeotes is a very good professor. she care about the students and she always ask if we have any question about the hw or the material. if you want to pass the class, you just have to study the material. the exams are usually pretty easy

Most people don't like Forkeotes because she teaches and assesses her courses at the college level. Giving her a revenge rating just shows you haven't yet cultivated the attitude necessary to succeed at college. If you think she's hard, try taking analog courses at a UC. She helped turn me into a math major; very intuitive and geometric approach.

If you're not willing to put the work in, you will not pass this class. She is a very good teacher and may seem intimating at first but she really does care about her students. Homework for every section, the usual amount of quizzes and only 3 tests. Don't use your phone in class she really doesn't like it. Very nice lady.

This professor is extremely under-rated. She is an amazing math teacher and cares a lot about her students and how they do in her class. She will go a little quick in class but never decline any questions during lecture. The homework is easy as long as you spend your time correctly and she bases her tests/exams from the homework. Extremely helpful.

Prof. Forkeotes is one of the smartest math professor's I've seen and she's very approachable and personable but most choose not to speak with her. Her class's structure is exactly what's on the syllabus, cover sections, do homework and quiz's. You have 3 tests and 1 final that will add up to 80% of your grade, no extra credit. You will learn a lot

I respect her greatly because she seems to be a good person, but I wouldn't take her class again. She's trying to explain you everything, using very academic vocabulary. When I couldn't understand her material, I watched courses on Udemy and that's how I got B. She doesn't give any extra credit.

She was very nice. Mymathlab for HW/3 exams/final. Each20%. This class can be difficult, but it's not impossible to get an A. Use a good graphing calculator, & ask her for help. Its a lot, but HW does prepare you for the exams. No trick questions. She's much more kind than the other reviews made her seem. Good teacher overall. Wanted us to pass.

Amazing professor!! She doesn't deserve these bad reviews. Super helpful, straightforward, and prepares you well. She wants everyone to pass. There are unlimited attempts for HW, 3 tests, and a final. Took the 5 week course online and I loved having her!!

Her lectures are informative & helpful. Unlimited attempts on homework serve as great practice to lock in information & prepare for test & being able to review them before exams is very useful. If you score low on exams it is not her fault bc she provides a lot of information and tools needed to do pass.

She is a strict instructor, but you will learn a lot from her if you go with the class.

Extremely nice and explains topics really well. You could ask her a million questions and she will take the time to go over the subject in a non-judgmental way. The online homework provides videos and examples that are really helpful for the test. Only complaint is she doesn't upload your grade till the end of semester, not tech savy at all.

Best math professor I've ever had. Incredibly good at explaining complex concepts and gives tons of examples. Lectures are very clear and will answer any question no matter how simple. I would only take her if you know you can attend all the lectures as she doesn't upload her completed notes. Much of the test is based on examples done in class

Professor Forkeotes is great. Lectures can get super dull though. She is very thorough and willing to answer any questions. 4 exams total worth 60% of grade. Study guides provided. Homework due before beginning of each week worth 20%. Rest of grade is final exam. No extra credit. Recommend if you have don't have great prior knowledge. Just study!

Excellent professor who explains concepts clearly. The online homework and resources like ChatGPT and unstuckstudy are super helpful for study prep. Attendance is a must, but a rewarding class overall.

Just a good calm professor.

Course got cancelled due to low enrollment, however the few lectures that took place were great. Professor was good at explaining the topics, really helpful and easy to approach. If I get the chance I would take her course again.

Took her class it had been 5 years since I had taken precalulus. She's knowledgeable of the material and her lectures are all you'll really need I never once read the book. Make sure to ask questions if you get confused on something she did. Home work was brutal for me but it will you teach alot. Definitely try doing it yourself till you get.
