Shes very helpful, very funny, ineracts with the class very well and after she explains what she teaches she'll ask "Are there any questions?". She'll ask that like at least 15-20 times a class.

she's got to be the best teacher. i HATED math & got C's every year since the 8th grade, i had her as my professor & passed every one of her tests, she only gives about 4 tests including the final, no quizzes & she doesn't check homework but asks for any questions, her tests come straight from the book. her sense of humor is great too!

Professor Brophy defines being a great professor. She made to teach. Def clear on how to approach problems. She assigns lots of homework, but practice makes perfect. She doesnt care if you come to class but she wont let you make up a test if you miss a test you get a zero. she is friendly and you are Graded based on 4 tests and a final and thats it. She isnt hot but she is cute if you like chubby chicks, personally i would do her.

I started off despising Math, but thanks to her I was able to grasp all angles of Algebra and master it. I got an A in that class, for someone who doesn't have a love affair with Math...lol...that's pretty darn good! And that just shows how great she is as a professor! She's very, very helpful! The most helpful teacher I've had. She really cares about her students. Makes sure you understand whats being taught. She is a cute, funny woman who knows exactly what she's doing. Brophy is an excellent professor. Her teaching pase is quick but the material is taught in a way you understand it. Nothing is mandatory in her class except quizes and tests. She is very helpful. I recommend her...heard the other professor that taught mat144 were horrible.

She does give a quiz on every Wednesday but she had us take them home due on monday( she lets you complete the quiz if you stay at the end of class) She was the best!

She is very excited about math lol. 3 tests (w/ take home portion) and cumulative final exam, no graded homework. I didn't do the homework often, I just showed up to class.

I had Prof. Brophy for a blended class which is online and in class but attendance isn'y mandatory. Although I never attended class she was EXTREMELY helpful and engaged in any questions or concerns I had. Her study guides and tests are straight forward and the online homework WILL HELP YOU A TON! If it was not for the Dr. Brophy I would have not passed the test. I was able to skip the required classes to join Math 119. Almost all the material the completely new and the first time I had seen it. She made herself available every Monday before class to tutor me for an hour. I finished the knowing math & felt successful! She is amazing.

If you struggle with math, take her. Anyone who says her class is hard, didn't bother to stay after class and work on her take home test with her or just never showed up to class. Best math teacher ever. Extremely easy and teaches really well. If you ever have a question she is more than happy to help. Gives take home tests that count towards the in class test. Homework is optional and attendance doesn't matter. She gives a lot of examples and is just a great teacher.

BEST MATH Professor at UCC! She gives 4 exams and 1 final. If you fail one of her exams she drops the worst one. GO to her office hours! She will respect you and therefore curve you if you don't do to well on your exam. At least from my experience!

I took Professor Brophy for Summer Session I in 2019. I have since then graduated from UCC and am a student at Rutgers. Professor Brophy is a caring teacher. She is always willing to explain and help, you just need to ask! Do the homeworks and do the review packets and youll be fine. I wish she was a math teacher at Rutgers. Shes truly a gem.

Such a great professor, she makes calculus easy and is very accessible if you don't understand something on the homework. There''s no real excuse to get anything under a 100 on quizzes because you are allowed to do them in class and have her check them before you finally submit them. She wants to see all of her students succeed

Attendance isnt mandatory but I'd still go because some lessons in the class are confusing. There is a lot of hw but if you do it you'll literally have so many 100s to bring up your grade and she gives a lot of time for it.

The absolute best Math Professor at UCC. She gives out homework and weekly quizzes, which allow you to boost your grade because they are taken home and she leaves time in class to complete. Dr.Brophy is an AMAZING professor and human that cares about you and your grades; as long as you do your part and study, the chances of you failing her class are very slim.
