She is a great teacher and spends a lot of time outside of class helping students. Before I had her for class I absolutely HATED math!! The only students that hate her are the lazy ones who don't want to do any work. She doesn't like cheaters and she doesn't like lazy students.

Lets face it none of us who take this class want to and most of the students in this class are absolute "whinners" who think that if we complain enough we will get our way (which we usually do). This WEB site is great for complaining. Anna is great and helps out a lot.

This is a great class. It is review of high school mathematics and it would be great if the IDIOTS in the class would stop complaning so much. I appreciate Ms. Cox's help and the fact that she will rearrange her schedule to work with me. She is GREAT!!! She treats us all with respect.

Learned so much as to why things work. Anna is great. It never all made sense before. One of the best math instructors I have had and we had an awesome dedicated class where everyone wanted to learn.

Lots of information to learn. Keep up on it and you will do great. She is awesome for anyone who wants to learn. NOT the teacher for you if you do not want to put forth effort. Will definitely answer questions but also understands that time is limited and when she answers the same question a hundred times some of us who do understand get bored.

Overall I am having a good time with this. Math is not my thing and I don't care for it much, but Miss Cox is helpful and clear. She does have standards and gets frustrated with some of the students who aren't really quality students - so don't take her if you are a lazy butt - if you really want to learn math, take her.

Best reacher I have ever had. If youre serious about wanting to learn about math, I would take this teacher. Otherwise, take a night class if you're only looking for the easy road.

Anyone who is having a problem with this professor, is simply not applying themselves. She is very helpful, not mean at all and never looks down on anyone for "not getting it". In fact if you don't get it, she will show you several methods until you do get it. Best math teacher I have ever had.

She was very nice and she cared about my class and every student in it. She tried hard to get everyone to understand the materials and she was in her office for anyone who had questions. I highly recomend her!

Anna is a decent professor. I'm average at math and had to work hard to get a B+. Don't take her if you want an easy grade. She will teach you quite alot, however, it is a little extensive for the community college level. The possitive thing about taking her is that she is very helpful if your willing to work with her.

i liked her fine - it is weird that people can get on here and lie if they got lousey grades and say things that aren't true about faculty - mrs. cox was really fair and wanted us to learn - but not a pushover.

Excellent Teacher

Took her for the summer, which is harder, she is a great teacher, if you need help she will do everything she can to help you. also had alot of homework. dont take her if you want an easy grade! you must absolutly work hard!

I've never had her for an online class, I had her for MATH 141 (Calculus 1) and she was fantastic. She helps out in any way she possibly can, she is VERY good about answering questions and the most accessible teacher I've ever had. Would take every class with her if I could.

She was very very helpful if you were interested in learning. She is not so great if you just want to get the grade and get out. I am not a big fan of math, but she got me through it fine. Other people who were lazy and didn't want to do any work really didn't care for the class. So I guess the issue is do you want to learn or not.

She is extremely helpful and quick to respond to e-mails. Her class is extremely fast paced though and you cannot get behind or you will fail. I found myself spending upwards of 2 hours per day on this class in order to be successful but I am not naturally good at math.

It took me 4 weeks to figure out that if I did the assignments I would be golden. I trashed my grade early on because I was lazy. Anna went out of her way to help me. I failed the class anyway because I was treating it like high school, thinking I did not need to put in much effort. She might have tried harder to help me than I tried to get work do

Professor was amazing and motivated me to do my best. I was amazed at how much time and effort she put forth wanting us to be successful. We had the typical LAZY students who seem to have posted here. College is about effort and learning. So sad that such an amazing professor doesn't get more recognition for doing a GREAT job!

Surprised by mean spirited comments here. I took this class last year and found Mrs. Cox was great. She worked so hard to help me. I am not good at math and I had a hard time with the class. Lots of work and lots of on-line stuff to do, but the teacher is so helpful and I learned a lot. You can do well if you work. Teacher is very fair but hard.

It saddens me to see so many bad reviews for Anna's class. I took her class for Pre-Calc and found that while she was very specific with what she wanted, it was only because being specific becomes essential as you move on into Calculus. I remember an instance where I had a question and she made a video at 3 AM to answer it.

Only four weeks in to the semester but absolutely loving it. So different than any other math class. We actually do work at the boards and interact with each other. Learning so very much! Scared about the first test but I feel like I know the info from the board work and homework. (Lots of homework but it is needed to learn the stuff.)

The best math instructor I ever had. So not traditional. She had us at the boards and talking every day. I learned so much! Not an easy class but I understand math better than I ever have.

Anna is an amazing teacher. She is always there to help us succeed. She is the only teacher I will take a class with.

I am looking at the reviews and wondering if I took another teacher. I really enjoyed Professor Cox's way of teaching. Mathematics is something that you can easily learn via online video. I felt the follow-up testing of your competency in its use was a great way to strengthen your analytical skills and gear you towards success.

Love the active learning and going to the board. Wish she did not care about us texting in class but I guess we really aren't focused on the material if on the phone. A quick message shouldn't matter.

I am not certain I have ever had a teacher care as much about my success as she did. Just finished an amazing eight week class. I had failed this course with a previous instructor. Can't believe how much I learned or how helpful she was. E-mails usually within a few hours, tests graded and back the next class period. She is amazing! Love her.

#BTF (Best Teacher Ever)Calculus 2 is a hard course.I was ready to give up so many times.I can honestly say that if it was not for Anna, I would of. Anna is not human, she doesn't sleep you can email her at almost any hour of the day and you will get a response (at times you will get a video response). You have to put in the effort. UCANDOTHIS!

I have to say taking this class in the summer was not easy, but it is Calculus II in the summer what else would you expect. I can't accurately describe this class with Anna as the teacher in all the characters I am allowed. So... While taking the class, I learned that the teaching style didn't meet my learning style. That being said, looking back, Anna did everything she could to try to help me succeed. To this day, if I need anything I know I can reach out to her. She doesn't sleep, and does everything possible to see students be successful. Seeing these poor ratings

I didn't expect to be handed a grade in college. I worked for it. Too many spoiled children on this site! Anna was kind, understanding & yes hard. So is life! As an adult learner she helped me analyze & think. Much more effective than most! College is supposed to challenge. Anna makes you use your brain. If u who want to show up for an A, grow up!

Wasn't sure in the beginning as we do a lot of board work. Learned to LOVE this style and am amazed at how much I have actually LEARNED not just memorized. Wow! Truly an amazing course. Am a better student due to this course.

I loved Anna! She was amazing, took her time to do things right, was always there for you, and knew what was best for you. She really helped me through the rough times, and was able to laugh with me through the easier times. I would take a class with her again any day!

Professor Cox priorities student participation. We spent most of our class time working out problems at the board. A really difficult class, but an excellent professor to help you through it.

Anna was the teacher I needed when I was learning algebra in high school. She explained the concept to you, had you practice, and then had you explain the concept back to her. If you don't want to socialize, this class will be hard, but only because she has you work in teams and *gasp* work at the board.

I have never had an instructor care so much about us as students. I had personal things going on and she reached out to me and showed her concern. She is an inspirational leader. I worked in her class and really appreciated doing the tough homework problems in class so that when I went home I could do them much easier and quicker.

Anna gets a terrible rap, relative to how valuable she is as a teacher. She cares SO much about her students and their success, but she won't just hand you an easy A. There is a hefty amount of hw, but it is incredibly important to PRACTICE calculus! She doesn't give them for the hell of it. Work hard, participate in class, and you'll succeed.

Anna was the best professor in my entire academic career, I would not be where I'm at without her. If your willing to be put in the work she will do everything in her power to help you grow and succeed.

Anna's one of KCC's best! I took all 4 Calc classes with her. If you want to really know math, take her classes. If you just want a Math credit as easily as possible, look elsewhere. LOTS of homework. Watch her videos, participate, use office hours, send her questions. She's very quick to respond, and bends over backwards to help you understand.

Class is very fast paced. I took two other classes and worked 25 hours during this class. Never pulled an all nighter and completed all assignments on time. She is very flexible, the tests are difficult she gives nice partial credit. I barely studied for the tests and did okay. Definitely not an easy class to take and crying did occur occasionally.
