i like her. her sociology class was good. she tries to hear student's views and i respect her for that. she is nice outside class too. her tests were takehome but still hard. lol shes good.

Easy class. All tests except for final are 100 take home questions. All answers are found chronologically in book. Not hard. She is confusing with her explanations though. Just ignore her lecture and read the book.

Kept good learning atmosphere. Encouraged participation and had many interesting topics. The only problem was that the take home tests were harder than they should have been. Maybe because they had 50+ questions?

The class is very easy to pass, takes home test are always good, she tries to accomade students interest in all aspects, appearance? who the hell cares how she looks.

She's is the best teacher. I always came late to class, never said a word. I never participated. I always sit in the back and daydream. She has corney jokes and at the end, I got an A-. She is mad cool though.

She was not as bad as people say she was. She actually was very helpfull to me. She contacted me several times thru email and AOL IM and helped me personally with projects that we had to do. If you are on her good side she will be good to you, if not well... She doesn't like if students disagree with her, poster below is right she seems out of it sometimes. Overall she can be nice. Course was easy she is not looking for much. Likes to talk about her kid, I didn't learn much tho. Take your time to write papers and you will get A+

She talks allot, but most of the time the discussions are interesting and anyone can join into the convo. Dont listen to anyone that says she is bad. She is very understanding, if you missed a due date on a paper she will understand and let you bring it in late. Great teacher and very easy going.

Listen People, Prof. Karpathakis is one of the best KBCC has to offer. Pay attention, do your required work, ask questions, participate and you'll be alright. I got an A in her class. Almost everything she teaches in this class shows up in other classes. You have to show interest and she has so much to teach you for when you transfer to a 4 year college. Do all the extra credit, participate, take notes, read the text book and study for the test. If you need anything do not be afraid to email her.

She was one of the best professors I had at kingsborough. Don't use her disorder against her. She is a wonderful teacher and if you don't do your work or are bored that's your problem! Took Winter class. She's intelligent, and has a good heart; but sometimes can be overly demanding on her students to work, or accept her ideas. She cannot control rowdy classmates at all, so your experience depends on your classmates, too.

Dr.K is a very dedicated professor. She tries to do everything possible to assure that every student gets a good grade in her class. Some exams are take-home and open book. Although lectures could be somewhat boring, Dr.K makes the material more entertaining by incorporating her own life experiences. I highly recommend Dr.K for Soc 31!

It's simple: Show up, read the material, and pay attention. Oh, and do your work. If this is something you can't do, then good luck trying to go to a 4-year school. don't drop this class. at first it will seem like the class is difficult; its not. Shes very sweet and extremely helpful to struggling students. I suggest writing most of the extra credit outlines and staying on top of the reading. She rambles sometimes, so the class can get mind numbingly boring--other times theres lively discussion...stuck to it.

Pr. K is an excellent professor. Very sweet person. To fail her class you really have to try hard (her own words). Subject is super interesting and very important in life. I ended up keeping the text book-Dalton Conley. All tests are open book and group discussions (or take home). Thank you so much Professor K. Love sociology forever!

Dr. K is a great teacher and a person with a big heart. She understands that students have other classes with lots of homework. She really cares for them. Subject is interesting. For some people could feel not and "boring". But i think if you want to study about life and you are open-minded than this is the beginning and you are blessed with Dr. K.

This woman is wonderful, I'd love to sit down and just pick her brain. although intimidating at first, she is the most honest and sweet person. she discusses many things in detail and isn't afraid to push you beyond your comfort zone, only if you choose to put yourself in the spotlight;). Love love love prof. karpathakis. All exams are take home. Had her for intro to sociology and soc31. Easy A if you just show up and do the work that's assigned ( not a lot is assigned ). Gives plenty of chances for students to hand in any missing work or extra credit. Very understanding and communicates well with her students.

I would say she is a very easy teacher .She is very understanding and seems like a nice person . I was kind of annoyed by her bias towards a certain religion . Maybe to some it is normal to look down on others but I never agreed with her biased views and I would never agree with hate and prejudice. She should know that better than the others .

She is good professor and she is funny lady. In her class is easy to passing and get A. all the test is take home test. And only three essay in 2nd test.

Professor Anna is fun, her lectures could go off track at times but she always comes right back to square one. I enjoyed our class discussions. She remembered when I would not show up or even changed my hair style. I appreciated her authenticity as an individual. One of her quotes "Cleanliness is next to Godlyness". She tells bad jokes. Easy A, All tests are take home and multiple choice, even the final. The third test is a an essay, that's the hardest part. You'll Need the book for the tests. You'll be very bored, if possible take this class as the 1 day a week option. Nice lady, but you'll be bored.

Honestly the easiest professor anyone can ever have. Practically gives the answers to the final and exams (answers are literally on Google). Only downside is having to put up with 3 hours of lecture.

Very easy class if you just pay attention to the assignments and do what you have to do you should have no problems. Heavy on the reading but it is still very doable. Only thing I would say about this class is it is very boring subject! I would finish her work all in 1 day, she is very nice & also gets back to you whenever you contact her.

This Professor is a real gem, she simply knew our situation and gave us the last chance to work on our missing assignments. All you have to do is read the discussion board, answer a few discussions questions, and a final research paper. Loved her class, she is def worth taking for Urban sociology.

Professor K is a flexible grader and gives feedback to you so you can resubmit your work. As long as you finish the work by the end of the term, you won't miss the A in your grade.
