I learned more in Dr. Koshy's class than any other class I have ever taken. Dr. Koshy is very knowledgeable and makes classroom discussion very interesting by incorporating great everyday examples. She challenges her students to learn and wants them to succeed. I loved here class and really appreciate the extra credit provided!
Im taking her for Summer 1 and it is a very challenging course. Dr.Koshy is a really good teacher and very interesting with her daily examples that have to do with the course. You will learn a lot from her and you have to put time and effort to study because she covers a lot of the material. Overall she is an awesome teacher.
I take this class for summer session, so the class was very fast and tough, she goes with the text book and she give notes to read; you should put attention, read your book and the notes and you will do fine. She also gives extra points in the test, she give quizzes, assignments, etc. with extra points so you really have chance to do good.
Come prepared to learn, take notes, and read a lot. She expects a lot out of her students.
I took this class for the Summer 1 session. It moves very quickly and Dr. Koshy makes sure you learn the material. Lots of bonus point opportunities. Pay attention in class and take notes, as well as reading the textbook. Very tough class, but it is manageable.
I took her summer A&P 2 class because she has good ratings, but her ratings are wayyyyy to high. She gives good notes, but in class she goes off tangents a lot. Just study her notes, and read a little from the book and you will do OK. Half the classes with her are spent off topic.
I took this as a Summer course, so it definitely moves fast! there is a lot of material, so dont come in just expecting an easy A. There are a lot of notes and reading outside of the class. Dr. Koshy gives a lot of bonus point opportunities though that help your grade! Although challenging, you definitely learn A LOT in her class.
AnP II is a tough ride, especially in the summer. Her off-topic stories, in the end, help a lot with critical thinking type questions on the department final. Her reviews are thorough, she gives opportunity for bonus, and constantly emphasizes important concepts. Respect, Honesty, and Integrity are required for an enjoyable class experience.
She is a nice lady but she does not truly teach. Expects her students to read the material and fully understand everything without her help. I do not expect to be spoon fed anything, and she did give notes, but will be retaking this class with another prof next semester
this is a very nice lady professor and is my best teacher I got in my life. very clear instructions, teaching & exams. She gives review and I studied what she taught. Although Dr. Koshy is generous with extra credit and hands out notes in class, her lectures are irrelevant to the majority of the test questions. She goes off topic every single lecture for hours at times. There are no exam reviews,she grades ridiculously on labs, doesn't answer questions and is very arrogant. More than half the class dropped.
Dr. Koshy is very generous on bonus points but is definitely not helpful. She tries but does't acknowledge she comes off as arrogant and unfair. The reviews are rediculous (lengthy reviews and only 40% on test) and please dont get me started on the labs/lab exams. She is a nice lady but terrible professor.

Professor gives very good review for exams. then its just study and take all chances for extra credit. I'm making As with good lecture and studying what she taught in classs. Give a lot of chance for extra credit through quizzes and extra credit on tests. You definitely need to read and study to pass the course with a good grade but thats literally for any A & P course. Dr. Koshy just makes it a bit easier to do so with all the bonus she gives to fluff your grade. She drops one test grade at the end so thats a plus.

Dr. Koshy is awesome! She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. However, if she says something and repeats atleast 2 times, do not ask her again, she will get annoyed with you. Pay attention to everything she says, even if it sounds off topic. Be actively involved with the class, and read the chapters ahead of time.

Dr. Koshy is a nice lady. She gives a lot of bonus points that help your grade a lot. Handouts were useful, exams were easy, and she drops the lowest grade! Try to memorize the key points when she lectures and make sure you study her handouts. Most of the questions are from there.
Dr. Koshy is a good professor but this class is hard. Be ready to read your text book and practically teach yourself this is a tough class as expected. Dr. Koshy is somewhat clear with what she expects from you, she does offer a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it. The labs are tough they are fill in the blanks and multiple choice.
Dr. Koshy is a nice professor however, this class is HARD. She trys to be clear about what she expects but often is not. She wil lecture for the entire 3 hrs. and gets side tracked easily. Lab test are hard and does not give reviews for exams, does offer extra credit. But i do not recommend her if you care your grade. Please consider another prof.
First off the class is hard to begin with. READ! The lecture is there to highlight important topics only, not to read you the book. Exams aren't bad, it's more about clinical questions. Prepare for exams early, lab exams are a piece of cake. She literally tells you exactly what she'll ask. Plenty of extra credit given, do it all will save you.

Dr. Koshy is a very knowledgeable professor. Get ready to read the textbook and long nights of studying. This class is very complex but as long as you take in class notes, read textbook & review her notes you will be fine. This class requires many hours of studying.
Dr. Koshy is exceptionally helpful if you show her you are really trying to work hard. She gives crazy amount of extra credit so there should be no reason to fail as long as you read and FOCUS ON WHAT SHE REPEATS MORE THAN ONCE. Would definitely take her class again!!
Extremely knowledgeable about her field and likes to show it off, tells a lot of stories, kind of funny, I took the summer course which was hard but her notes are GOLD. I stopped reading the book because it was too much info and her tests are off her notes anyway. Lab book was really helpful.

If you are going to take this class be prepared to learn completely by yourself. She lectures in class but always gets off topic, this class is a self taught class. She does not give study reviews for exams and isn't very clear about what she expects. Very tough grader, does give plenty of extra credit.

Professor Koshy is very knowledgeable. Attendance is mandatory. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. She gives out notes that are helpful to some extend. Only in lecture she drops your lowest test grade, although she does NOT provide reviews. For lab, there's only two exams and she does not drop a grade. I can agree that it's a self taught class.

I took her A&P II lecture and it was ridiculous. During class she doesn't stay on topic and constantly talks about her personal life. Basically, be prepared to teach yourself. There are no reviews for her tests, but the only good thing is she gives out extra credit. Make sure you take advantage of that because you'll definitely need it. Good luck!
Ridiculous professor. Guaranteed you will have to teach everything on your own and you'll learn more about her family history rather than anatomy.

Prof. Koshy is VERY intellectual. She relates what she's teaching to her personal life experiences which I liked. On the other hand her delivery of lecture isn't very good. She constantly talks down on you and the verbal reviews are too general for what's on the exam. I'm currently struggling and previously considered dropping.
Pros: Sweet lady who wants you to succeed, gives bonuses, exams are straightforward with most students getting A's and B's. Doesn't give reviews but she tells you in lecture/lab what you need to know. Opportunities for joining BBB club and various events. Cons:No physical study guides, can lecture off topic sometimes.

She is a nice lady, but a huge control freak so be prepared to be lectured not only on the material but also the "right" way to do things in her class. She gets such a high score due to the amount of extra credit she gives. She also tends to ramble so when she does lecture, she talks very fast to make up for it. Besides that, she's decent.
Dr. Koshy is a very nice professor and caring. A lot of extra credits. Sometimes she is off the topic when she is lecturing. To make an A you have to LISTEN to what she teaches in class, takes notes, STUDY her notes carefully and READ the books. What she said will be on the exam. If you can do that, take her and definitely get an easy A.
I received a A in the class. I studied a lot! You have to. Especially her notes, which is what her test mainly consist of. The first half of semester she didn't teach just talk, second half was better. Lots of extra credit. Get on her good side!! Follow instructions and you'll do fine! Her extra credit boosted my B+ to an A.

Excellent professor, she DOES provide with very helpful notes. There are 4 exams; lowest grade is dropped. The professor really knows what she is talking about, I have learned new things from her. You will not regret taking her class.

The only extra credit she gives are for events and quizzes, which are no help since all the material is already hard since shes actually not teaching it. Dr Koshy is a rare gem! She loves what she does, loves her students, cares if you aren't doing well in your exams and quizzes. She really lectures, does not use power point to teach, ONLY uses power points to illustrate and show diagrams. You really have to study ,come to class and take notes. YES!!!! Offers a lot of extra credit. You will have to put in a lot of work from your side. The subject is not easy. Take her only if you have a lot of time to spend reading all the chapters & doing extra research on the topic. She does provides notes which can help you on the exams.
Worst professor i have taken in HCC. She is rude to students, doesn't like students asking questions, always off topic, and does't explain the material well. The topic is hard and she makes it even harder. I had to work A LOT with the need of another professor to pass the class with an A

Her lecture is not clear and so confuse. She doesn't have any slide to support her talking that makes easy to get lost if biology is new field for you. I will not take her again. At the end of the course her EXTRA POINTs do not help because she also percentage the points. The extra points are not free. You must go many events to have it. Good luck!

HORRIBLE !!! I dropped this class due to the horrible instruction and the professors accent makes it very difficult to understand her. I would not recommend taking her class as it is mostly self study with no instruction at all. I was very disappointed in HCC with this professor.

she is a very good prof. her exams are really easy if you study . anatomy is greek and latin and nobody can spoon feed you unless you put effort. She has good knowledge and shows actions in class which stays in mind. study all she teaches in class and you can earn a good score. she is so sweet and I felt like a motherly love many times.
in all her exams she gives 12 points bonus questions , and those questions are really easy if you have read the contents atleast once. Questions are all straight forward and fair questions. each quiz is worth 14 points and if she asks to prepare any notes based on the topics she gives ( very few questions , four max), she gives bonus for that too.
If you want to take Anatomy and physiology with an eye to have a successful future or to transfer to a reputed University, Dr Anna koshy is the best. She gives printed notes, takes solid class and fair exam questions too. If you aim only to study some review questions and get a grade based on cheat sheets, this is not a class for you. she is good

Take this class only if you have some time to study, else stay away from Anatomy class as it is greek and latin. her tests are questions that she made herself and so all questions are based on the topics she discussed in class. I am a full time student, and I scored 100 and above in all her tests. U need to learn all she teaches. Textbook is so vast, so listen to her and take notes of all that she says. Dont take Dr anna koshy thinking she is giving free grades and Bonus. If you work and put effort, she has all the things you needed to succeed. Anatomy is the backbone of Medical profession and without studying it, you are never gonna succeed in your career. don't choose a easy A class, take her. She has in depth knowledge and good class too.
Took Dr. Koshy for both A&P 1 and 2. She gives notes that if you study only that and attend class to note down things to add, you WILL pass. She also gives a whole letter grade worth of extra credits on all her exams. I made 100+ on everything as result. Some people say she is mean but if you show her respect, she respects you back.
Her handouts will help you a lot on her tests. STUDY THEM and make sure to write down what she says during class. You will mostly be teaching yourself so if you can't do that, don't take her. She does give a lot of extra credit opportunities, but she is still not an easy A for most people.
I took her at spring 2018 - If you have not taken General Biology, then this class will be too hard. Try to go to hcc faculty and in her portal, she has given review sheet for general biology. Try to start writing down those terms as she will ask for it , a week after the class starts and gives bonus if you submit your written work. It will help a

I always feel that she does not belong to HCC, as her teaching style could be utilized for students in reputed Universities like Rice. She is a rare gem that shines so bright. She is a good professor, but the test is difficult. What she taught and the test was not compliment each other. No study guide which way you should study. I was totally lost in the class, only 10 people left in the class, other people dropped all, so think about that.

Took her because of the good reviews but she was absolutely horrible. Spends half the class talking about herself and the rest "teaching". She gives review but only 1/3 is on the exam. When she tells you to focus on certain things it is basically the whole textbook. I've had teachers that help you learn and grow but she does not help with that.
You will definitely have to set aside time to read the textbook and study. She is a good professor if you want to be challenged and ACTUALLY learn. In the end your grade will reflect how much time and effort you put into the class. She does, however, give LOTS of extra credit opportunities and drops the lowest exam grade!
Dr Koshy is a sweet person but as a professor, this is one of the toughest courses I've ever taken! She lectures verbally and has a few diagrams she QUICKLY goes through. I'm a visual learner so her teaching style isn't one that I prefer. She gives tons of extra credit and quizes/HW. Do that and actually learn while you do so!! A&P1 is tough!
Very good professor, her handouts help so much ! If you are not a quick learner start studying early to get good grades in her class. This subject is very loaded to learn the night before class for exam. I used to think she wasnt good but I realized she is, very informative and helps boost grade by giving homeworks, extra points in every exam.
Since the first day of class I had trouble understanding her due to her heavy accent. She VERY quickly goes through chapters just hitting main points. I have never gotten more out of class in my life. Hands down the best professor I have ever had. She will give you notes to help you study, she'll only give you a study guide for the final tho. She drops the lowest test and gives lots of extra credit. She does not hand out A's for just showing up you have to try(and study and not bomb the final)
Honestly, she is an amazing professor. But, you need to put in a lot of effort to get A in her class. There are 3 exams and 1 final exam. Besides, she will give you 1 make-up exam to drop the lowest. However, she doesn't give you any review before exams except for the final exam. Luckily, she will give a lot of opportunities to earn extra credit.
One of the best course I ever had in science, learned a lot from a caring professor with in-depth knowledge. Earned high scores in HESI. Professor gave good notes, reviews and extra credit chances. Do not take this course without taking general biology ( especially if you are a gap student). This is a course that requires much focus and attention, so if you can not dedicate time to it, don't take it. Also, it is recommended, take this course regular term!! Dr. Koshy was amazing though. Took this class on spring 2020. She gives no reviews, and she says her notes and homework reflect off of the exams even though that is not true. She goes off topic way too much.. shes always late and keeps student after class just because SHE was late. She does curve your grades at the end of the semester BUT shes really tough. I have taken many online classes over the yrs, & she is the first online professor to be so inconsiderate! EX. she will open an important exam FROM 9 PM AT NIGHT and CLOSE IT AT 10 AM the following morning. It is such a frustrating time limit for a major exam. She is also very quick to accuse people of cheating and will send long rude emails.

I loved taking A&P 1 w/ Prof Koshy that I took a&p 2 with Prof koshy again. Because this was a 5 week class, things were alot harder. Time management is needed in order to pass but it is very doable. She is a fantastic professor. Responds to email, provides resources and notes for you to study and more. I personally recommend Professor Koshy 100%

She got off track a lot and talked about herself. Her accent is HEAVY and she talks fast. If you ask her a question, she will embarass you and make you feel stupid. Her test reviews are written in DotumChe font and made me want to puke. Her tests are extremely hard. She offers extra credit but it doesn't help much. I would avoid her.

I choosed this professor bc of the good reviews she had but now that Im taking her I regret it. As a virtual professor she sucks. She uses the training Cisco Webex to lecture so all you do is hear her talk. During her lectures most of the time she spends talking abt something else that has nothing to do with class.
Her quizzes/test you need lockdown browser and webcam to take them. She is really strict with webcam have to do all the steps right. She also actually takes the time to check every flag you get when taking the exam. Her notes tht she gives are all over the place and cant understand her handwriting. I had to self teach myself. Koshy is just about the worst professor Ive ever had. Its not necessarily the material thats difficult, its really the professor thats the problem. Shes rude and degrading, & it seems like her main intention is to find problems to pick at her students. If youre thinking about taking this class, run the other way & save yourself.

I took her A&P 2 due to the vast number of good reviews she had well it was the complete opposite. She has not update her way of teaching during covid she provided no powerpoints only messy unreadable notes, instructions on assignments were unclear, she pauses all grades and won't open back quizzes or tests to check what you got incorrect

She offers extra credit if you complete the homework assignments and the class discussions are an engaging way to learn more and improve your grade. The good reviews are probably from 16 week semesters. DO NOT take for 5 week summer course. Broken sentences in instructions. Only 24 hours to do 300 questions and quizzes. Tests/Quizzes are hard. If you can't make weekly meeting (in an "anytime" class), you can't go over your grade. Rude in correspondence. Hides grades til after withdrawal date.
Beware! Syllabus is 30+ pgs for a summer course. All test and quizzes including the syllabus quiz require cam, lockdown browser, and mirror showing your test screen. She does review the video one by one so don't let your eyes wonder around or receive a 0! Demands an apology email if so! open assignments at 6am closes at 10am next day. Ridiculous
A brilliant teacher who knows what she's talking about. Take notes and pay close attention to her lectures. Her supporting notes are a lifesaver. Don't take it lightly, you need to study, and time management is key. Follow her instructions to a T, and pay attention to the details. She will guide you if you listen. She genuinely cares.
It was a summer 5 week class and it was intense! There are 4 exams and 5 quizzes and lowest grade is dropped. Professor Koshy was helpful through out the course and gave us good notes. I liked the quizzes we had to do before the exams because it helps prepare you for the actual exam. I had a good experience and recommend professor Koshy.
If you are a person with high dreams to succeed she's the best professor that you need. My 5week course of Anatomy and Physiology was intense but she will never let you get lost on track, always giving a heads up where to go and what to do. It's a given that A&P is a difficult subject. However dr. koshy makes it even more difficult. Unusual deadlines (assignments due at 6am??), requires apology emails or else she will not grade your exam, went over the end of class 15-45min every day. lecture heavy had to rely on lectures from youtube and the textbook to be able to self teach.
ONE OF THE WORST PROFESSORS EVER. Anatomy and Physiology is already a difficult class, but she makes it even more difficult. She is very unprofessional and rude. No use of powerpoint slides during her lectures to demonstrate what she is talking about. She does not care for her students and expects an "apology" letter over petty mistakes.

So many fake positive reviews - entire, broken sentences are copy/pasted from 1-3 year old reviews. This site leaves 1-2 bad reviews and deletes the other 10. I've seen 4 waves of 8-10 total bad reviews from the 5 week course get deleted. This professor is the only A&P professor who forces lockdown on quizzes, too. Lots of extra credit, though.
Dr. Koshy was an excellent online professor. Though not required since the class was optional online any time, she gave weekly meeting sessions to review and provide study tips. I learned a lot by reviewing her modules filled with information per chapter. Definitely take her as she will help you advance your career in knowledge.

I have been taking classes here since 2018 this is the first class Ive dropped in two years and shes the worst professor Ive ever taken if you dont follow her rules verbatim she will fill you as well If you try to ask her something or explain something to her she will say you were arguing with her and get defensive And will not try to help you
This professor has the biggest obsession with the lock down browser I've ever seen. She will fail you if you don't "follow all directions on LDB" She can't write emails, all of which are in broken sentences, and she has no remorse for her students, I had to get out before my grade average plummeted. She will call you out in class and is SO rude.

Very difficult tests. Lack of concern for students. She even had homework due during Spring Break. All of her lectures were her reading off of a powerpoint. Study Guides were not helpful at all. Tests did not correspond with study guide. Several students complained to the Dean due to her rude behavior and lack of concern for students. Not helpful

She's very particular about how she wants things done. If you make the smallest mistake she will automatically give you a zero. Make sure to never miss a detail. Rarely miss a day or show up late. Her lectures are more of her going over rules. Her syllabus can be unorganized. Her exams are difficult. You're not able to view missed questions.
This professor is not like the rest, she will go above and beyond from her teaching requirements to help students achieve their goals. Nothing is easy in life but I guarantee if you do your part as a student she will do her part as an great educator. Information OVERLOAD handwritten notes on typed notes, emails/instructions (lots of copy/paste) are like decryption of secret codes. I took the online anytime course & when she had courtesy online meeting she did not record them. Lots of extra credit but you have to read all her messy info to find it in the beginning. She is VERY hard to follow!

If you want to grasp a good foundation in the health & medical sciences I would recommend Dr. Koshy as your AP professor. She provides an abundance of resources (book assignments, Koshy notes and previous lectures) to navigate your study time given so much material. Participation, time and effort are key. Took this course for a nursing prerequisite & was forced to drop since Dr. Koshy is not able to hold proper lecture meetings. First day of class she wasn't able to unmute her mic and left the entire class stranded and frustrated for a solid 90 minutes. Her syllabus was extremely difficult to understand. Requires a mirror during tests and quizzes.
RUNNNN.LDB is used.She literally makes you to use a mirror to show your surroundings before using your webcam to show your surroundings.She requires a 360 view of your surrounding and test taking screen. You will get a zero if you don't do all of these.She doesn't respond to emails at all. I highly do not recommend.

When you take an exam, she will make you buy a mirror so you can show you do not have sticky notes on your laptop. Plus, during the lockdown browser exam you can not move your body AT ALL she didn't grade my test because I placed my hand on my chin. Quite literally the worst teacher I've had ever. She has a thick accent and goes on random tangents yelling at students for not studying (when she is completely incompetent at teaching). Her "koshy modules" notes are completely illegible and generally awful notes. She forces attendance and makes you use a mirror with LockDown browser during exams.
I did pass her class however it's difficult. Perhaps it's my study methods but her exams were hard for me. I just felt like I relied more on my lab class to understand her class. The online hw is not mandatory however its extra credit. She drops your lowest grades so there's that. She did get upset and called out a student for dropping her course.

Her study guides don't match up to the exams. First exam was chp 1-5 but literally most of it was chp2 and chemistry questions. Her accent is a little hard to understand even with the closed captioning turned on the words don't come out right. I left in fear of her future exams being irrelevant to the study guide/reviews. She's a sweet lady though

LDB is used and it adds to the stress of the test and quizzes that are already hard due to her excessive 10 step process before hand. learn chemistry and biology instead of anatomy. lectures consist of her teaching herself, taking attendance the first/last 30 mins of class, then she talks about how she falls asleep while watching her students take test. you'll fail if you do your environment check to fast. she writes her good reviews they mimic her writing style.BEWARE DEFENSIVE

As an exchange student this professor was extremely rude. She teaches herself and loves to talk about her personal life more than the course content. Her modules and class structure is horrible. She makes you use a mirror and will fail you even if you move a little during the LDB exam. I would pick another professor in a heartbeat over her.
Tbh, I was scared to take her class because of the bad reviews, and this was the only course I could sign up for due to schedule conflict. I don't know about the rest of y'all but her exams were less difficult than my upper level exams at a four-year university. Make sure to read the textbook and actually put time to study. AP is not an easy class.
I took her A&P I class for Summer 1-first five-weeks of class. Her exams were not that difficult if you actually study her Koshy notes and read the textbook. I believe I would have made an A in this class if I had put in more time in studying and reading the textbook. She's very generous with bonus points. Overall, I would take her class again.

Anna Koshy is not a supportive, kind, or understanding professor at all. She is very rude to her students and does not care about their well-being. Her tone is very harsh and wants everything to be done her way, and her way ONLY. She is not understanding of people's external lives outside of the classroom. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
By the end of the semester you will know more about her personal life than the course. She is a rude condescending professor, not sure how she is able to teach with this kind of attitude. My advice? Take another professor, its not worth the headache you will experience taking her. She does not know how to teach.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! There is a test every week. If you're taking the course online ALL of the test are through LDB.I started August 21 our first test was 8/28 over chapters 1-5. To absorb that much information in 7 days is crazy. She doesn't like to answer Questions or emails. Run! Do not take this class even if it's the only option.
The professor is faking her good reviews. If you look at all her "good reviews", almost ALL of them start along the lines of "great class, good professor." The reviews also always mention the courses available resources. They'll mention something along the lines of "lecture notes, study sheets, helped." It'll also say thanks professor at the end.
Anna Koshy was the first professor I dropped in college. She requires lock down browser for quizzes and exams. She takes attendance and you have to show yourself on camera, a simple "I'm here" will count you absent! She also argued with students a lot when they tried asking her questions as if we were trying to question her teaching.
Do not have her as your professor, all the good reviews are not true, she will not let you ask questions during lectures, so difficult to understand and learn, you will have a quiz every WEEK and all she does is read not EXPLAIN
This course was truly awful. It is nothing but tests and exams, and she has argued with my peers over lockdown browser and failed them for even reading test questions to themselves during the tests. Never explains or reviews quizzes correctly, all tests are directly from textbook and even her notes won't help you. So bad I withdrew from the class.
I ended up dropping this class due to the professor teaching herself instead of the students. She is not Knowledgeable about the subject at all and instead loves to talk about her personal life during class. The positive reviews are written by her as they all use the same grammar/ sentence structure.

She gives lots of notes videos so you can learn the material being taught. But also learn on your own by using the book and taking practice tests. Anna Koshy will do everything she can to help you succeed just make sure you use the resources and study double time! You got this!

Follow her instructions exactly, you'll be ok. Drops lowest scored quiz/exam. Gives extra credit. Gives grading rubric for discussion project, follow it and you'll do ok. Reviews for exams. She wants you to learn concepts/consequences of defects of A&P in the body health-wise,more than making you memorize Krebs Cycle. Would take her class again.
Professor Koshy does not allow you to review exams or quizzes. I would not recommend taking the course over the summer. She provides "Koshy Notes" which are sloppy and hard to follow. Its best to read the textbook and take notes during lecture

Awesome Anatomy course with a very good teacher in a busy short summer semester . Studied all materials taught, study Qs and note provided. Prepared well for the next semester for health carriers classes. Recommend her course for all that has time to study good course contents to perform well.
Dr Koshy was very knowledgeable and in the 4 weeks we had provided so many great resources for us to refer to. She gave lots of feedback and was very helpful. It is a fast course so get reading. She will require you to attend all sessions but in a limited time you have to. She was kind and cared about her students.
I thoroughly enjoyed this class. She clearly states what she wants and expects in this course. She provides many materials to help you study that goes beyond her lectures. I suggest getting on top of her materials since she goes fast. What helped me succeed was studying the chapters before class and adding to what I knew during the lecture.
SHE IS FAKING MOST OF THE GOOD REVIEWS. She has a very distinctive writing style, MANY of the good reviews follow it. 13 out of 24 students dropped. She tests over info that is nowhere in the material, and doesn't see why it's a problem. The exams are full of mistakes and she was rude to the student who brought them up. Take ANYONE else.
she's condescending in emails. takes points off of exams over petty things or anything. after exams she calls out the names of students of who failed in lectures. your not allowed to ask questions during lectures. study guides are handwritten(illegible and not helpful). teacher yourself using the textbook and crash course only way to a good grade.

Adverse weather disrupted the schedule, and she showed little regard for the situation, despite it being a summer class. She often wasted class time by repeating herself and straying off topic. Additionally, her exam reviews did not align with the actual exams, and her messages and notes were poorly formatted and difficult to understand.
Almost every class so far Professor Koshy has taken over 30 minutes for attendance at the beginning of class and then an extra 10 minutes at the end. We had a quiz over chapters 1-3 And Professor Koshy barely finished teaching chapter 1. On the day of the quiz instead of going over chapters 2&3 we jumped to 4! I think I'll have to drop this class!
HUGE language barrier, I'm 1000% positive that she speaks in her native tongue mid-sentence when she doesn't know the English word for what she's trying to describe. Attendance is taken 3X, doesn't allow questions during lecture and very confrontational. Talks about her personal life rather than teaching, you will have to teach yourself.
Worst professor ever! Doesn't have a clear teaching agenda. Take a quiz over 3 ch. then a week later you have an exam over the same ch. plus add an additional 2 chapters on top. Do NOT take her class, started with 20 students by the end of the semester only 3 were left. IGNORE all good reviews here, AWFUL lectures, writes very bad lecture "notes" on the whiteboard, super unreadable. Only 3 test plus a department final, gives homework questions that she comes up on the spot that doesn't count towards grade. STAY AWAY!!
Koshy is an ineffective teacher and acts like she hates her students. Take someone else. Anyone else. I will be retaking this class again with my lab professor who actually helped me learn and cared about my academic career. Wish I could get a refund from this awful professor. Impossible to understand. Language barrier with speech, but she is WORSE at typing. You have to decode everything she writes & she has 0 patience for clarifying questions. She wastes 1/3 every class on attendance. She spent 2 weeks talking about the lockdownbrowser then quizzed us on untaught chapters. Test questions were random. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!
Lectures are absolutely terrible. Didn't learn a single thing from her. Had to read the textbook and do tutoring, basically taught myself. No clear agenda with class. Announcements for all her classes are on one announcement. Will have to read announcements to find your class. Syllabus reads very disorganized. The syllabus, announcements, and feedback are language barrier heavy! Tests are on LDB and she doesn't want you so reading out loud to yourself or scratching yourself.
INSANE that she has a high rating. I ended up retaking this class- new professor actually cares/ provides exam reviews. I am POd I wasted money on her course. She does not care about student success and is rude anytime you ask a question. Useless notes, difficult tests. Expects u to know every little detail from the book. No HW to pad grade.

Definitely won't recommend this teacher to anyone. She doesn't "teach", instead reads of Power points. She's becomes so "disrespectful" and defensive. In my class we where 21 student but by the third week we where only 11 students. Doesn't give clear direction and grades very Ashly.

She went off topic a lot. You need to do things in the specific way she asks or you will not pass the class. She expects you to know almost the entire textbook as well as her notes and the slide shows. I would take her again but only as a last option. Overall not bad but not great. Has thick accent and confusing outline and syllabus.

Please don't waste your time with her study guides for quizzes or lectures; they don't help. I'm good at studying--but for her, it's hard to do, b/c she doesn't give you what you need upfront (but claims to do so). Also, there aren't a lot of assignments, so if you miss one main assignment, expect it to put your grade down a lot.

She did not ensure we understood the assignments, and whenever students tried to ask questions, she would cut them off and come across as rude. Her test wording was very confusing, which made it hard to know what was being asked. Despite getting a tutor and asking her for ways to improve, I had to drop the class.0 out of 10

Fake 5.0 ratings written by the prof. They have the same style as all of her written communication. Half our class dropped. Not only is she a bad teacher, but her test questions are wrong and outdated. She gets offended when you point this out to her. With other teachers, you can at least teach yourself and get a good grade. Not true with Koshy.
Unfortunately, reading the text book is not good enough to pass this course. Attending her lecture is not good enough either. She tends to ramble about things that are not important for your knowledge. While she is passionate about her career, it is not a good idea to take this course unless maybe you are a doctorate student.

She has a thick accent, her lectures are without slides and you cant barely understand what shes saying, when someone tries to talk to her or ask her something about the class she tells them to email her the question because it takes time out of her class. She can be rude sometimes the class is already hard enough but she makes it worse
