Shes super nice and very understanding. As long as you do your work, youll pass.
This was her first semester teaching and she's done a great job. A couple quizzes and a capstone paper (2000 word paper that's SO easy) allowed for this senior credit class to basically fly by. She's been very thorough in her explanations and provides great feedback for assignments. Good luck Professor Leimberg! You're doing a great job!
Very good at explaining what is required of you. prompt at responding to emails. Feedback received after grading of assignments is excellent.
She responds quickly and gives a lot of feedback, USE IT! There are a lot of papers due, it is not your normal online class with just quizzes and discussion posts. Some of the grading criteria was unclear. If you can not write papers correctly with references and cites you will have a tough time.
This professor is very professional and she is clear on the assignments. If you are someone who is lazy and doesn't like to complete the work don't bother taking her. If you r decent and are willing to put some effort into your degree then I highly recommend her. Its not back breaking work and can be very easy if you try a little. Would take again
Professor Leimberg is a great professor! This is the capstone course for CJ so if you expect it to be easy, that's on you. There is a lot of writing, but she sets you up so that the assignments build to the final paper. I always ask a lot of questions and she gets back to me quickly and is very positive and encouraging and clear. Take her!
She's great :) This class is a capstone class so do not expect it to be easy! She gives great feedback and always responds quickly to any questions you may have. This class has been challenging and A LOT of writing but thankfully she's doing a great job so far as a teacher. I recommend her and would take her again! Best of luck in your career (:
She is very understanding. If you have an emergency let her know before hand and she will work with you. Not a harsh grader but gives really good feedback. Answers emails on time. I deff would recommend her over other professors
This course requires an in depth research paper. You WILL HAVE to do research. Prepare yourself mentally prior to taking this class. Its a course requirement. The prof is understanding and responds to emails almost immediately. She must have her phone next to her on the night stand. I emailed her once after 11p & she answered in like 10 min.
She's a great professor, just make sure you do your work on time, she does NOT accept late work. She gives great feedback and most of the assignments leading up to the Capstone Paper are graded mostly based on completion but they should be done correctly because it makes the paper so much easier. I would recommend her to others !
This was Prof. Leimberg's first time teaching this class online and I felt that she did an extremely good job! It's a required class for CJ. Although this is a capstone course and the final paper is lengthy, Prof. Leimberg breaks it down into several sections. She is very good at getting back to you when you email her. I would recommend taking her
Professor Leimberg is a very intelligent, humerous, and passionate professor. Even though this class was at 8am every week, she made the course material/class time so interesting that I actually wanted to come to class. You get what you give- do the work as she requires and you should pass with an A. EASY!
Professor Leimberg has a great teaching attitude. She encouraged a lot of participation and as well was kind enough to bring us snacks almost every class. She kept us motivated and reminded us of assignments in class as well. I would recommend reading the lessons from the book to keep yourself up to paste with the topics discussed within the class.
I must say that being my first semester at FIU and having the opportunity to have such a great Prof. was a lucky and fortunate experience. She truly wants students to pass- so as long as you ask (when in doubt)- she will never hesitate to help. Put your effort in class- show dedication and the class will run smoothly. Shes sweet and caring.
She is a very cool professor. This was her first time teaching this class and it turned out to be GREAT. She doesn't like using power-points because having guest speakers, in-class activities, videos, and discussions are how we really learned. Read the textbook before each class. She's very caring and understanding. Completely recommend!
Awesome Professor
Great teacher overall. Very nice lady.
One of the best professors I ever had. She is dynamic, the courses are interesting and always different. She does not read powerpoint, instead, she does interactive courses and everyone wants to participate.
Very caring of your grades, and gives clear instruction and grading criteria so that you can do the work and get the easy A.
Professor Leimburg is awesome. Her class was never dull or boring. You can tell through her lectures that she is very passionate about the topics being taught. Would definitely take her again.
Professor Leimberg is really nice and her course is very fun and interactive. The course is graded by few things and there is a research paper, you should definitely do well on the first assignments if you wish to secure a good grade, if you fall behind your grade will suffer.
The class was very straight forward from the beginning . You knew what to expect with discussions, quizzes and the final paper. As long as you complete the reviews you will pass all quizzes, midterm and final.
She and Ligia Collado (from the Biology department) are the best professors I've had at FIU. Her classes are fun and dynamic. She keeps the topic relevant and interesting. She brought in guest speaker officer and detective that I really enjoyed because it was like from another person's perspective. She is very kind and caring.
Before I took her class I didn't know anything about APA format and she helped me a lot to understand it, she would give you excellent feedback on how to do it better and her grading criteria is EXTRA CLEAR, amazing professor overall super friendly and charismatic
Super great personality from day 1, I love her teaching style over all. I think she really gets the topic she is teaching because she is very passionate about it. She also brought in guest speakers so that was really cool.
This is the second time I take professor Leimberg. Both classes have required writing discussion posts of 400 words each, plus two responses (200 w) to other classmates. Although they might be time consuming at times, they are easy to do. Final paper which she will give you great feedback on. I was able to travel while taking the class. Recommend!
Professor Leimberg is great at teaching this course and helps encourage participation. She also provides opportunities to receive extra credit which really helps a lot! All and all, she is a lovely professor and I can say I am leaving this class well informed on the topic of human trafficking. Definitely recommend taking her!
Professor Leimberg does a great job at teaching this subject. She is a nice person but a great professor. She gives out extra credit opportunities and it does help a lot. if you take this class, you will learn what she teaches and she also brings in guest speakers.
Professor Leimberg is a great professor and I would recommend her for any course. Course did not have any exams. She teaches an interactive class with demonstrations and guest speakers that help you remember the course material. Her method and sense of humor helps you pay attention and turns boring material into something fun and interactive.
Professor Leimberg is amazing! She sticks to her word and let you know what you need to do to get the grade you want. She gives extra credit so you can get the grades you want. She will meet with you after class to ensure you understand the course material. I loved attending her class and would definitely attend her class in the future.
Final paper, final exam and 5 discussions! A bit hard on citations but definitely doable!
She makes you work for your grade; however, she is the nicest person and she is willing to help you in any and every way possible. This was on online course and it was taken during Fall B. Therefore, it was a fast paced class but it was definitely manageable. If you read, follow the instructions she provides, & do the extra credit youll pass!
This class is interesting and definitely challenges your knowledge on the subject. HOWEVER, for an into class it is way too demanding. Aside from the 5 discussions posts (which include word counts for the replies as well), you have a midterm, final and final paper. She is very strict on Citations and formatting. Luckily she gives some extra credit.
Tough grader but makes it clear what her expectations are of the course.
She's real cool and laid back. She give great feedback and she isnt a tough grader as long as she see the effort. There is weekly discussions, a midterm, final paper (5 to 7 pages) and a final exam. She gives alot of extra credit, however, no late work accepted. If I had to, i'll take her again. TAKE HER!
This professor is great. I took this class as a mini term so it was relatively fast paced, but definitely doable. 5 discussion posts with two replies to other students, a midterm, final, and final paper. She's really picky with APA, but just follow her instructions and her APA guidelines post and you'll be okay. Take her it is a great class!
I would say this class it not too bad, and the professor is pretty great. You just read the book and do the work. There are only around 5 discussions and two exams plus a paper for this class. It is reliability easy, additionally if you leave extra replies you can gain extra credit. I would take her again if I could.
Professor Leimburg was an excellent professor! I took this class online for an 8 week period. We had 2-3 chapters to read per week accompanied by a discussion of the weekly readings. The class had a midterm, final, and a final essay. She provided very detailed feedback and was very helpful. The class was very straight forward and interesting.
She is straight to the point with what she expects from you in this class. Assignments may be time-consuming but doing well in the course is doable.
I took this professor for session B so everything was really fast paced which made it feel like more work. I think the class would've been easier to handle during a regular session. My only critique is that she's very picky with APA formatting so she's constantly taking points off for that. BUT, she does provide extra credit opportunities!
If you're looking for a class you can breeze through with minimal effort, she isn't the professor for you. Course was easy, but she makes you work for a good grade. Mostly busy work, not stuff that actually helped me learn the material. Just like others mentioned, it's a lot for an intro class and she is tough on apa. Extra credit available
Overall this was the easiest class I had this semester. I took this class as a Fall B course online and it was very manageable. Only 5 discussion posts, a midterm, final, and final research paper. The midterm and final both have ample resources and study guides associated with them. She also has plenty of extra credit opportunities available.
Professor Leimberg cares about her students. She is passionate about the subject she teaches and wants all her students to do well. If you put in the effort, you will do well in her class. Make sure to use proper grammar and good sentence structure for your writing assignments. If you want a good grade, this is essential.
she responds very quickly and is great. You just need to follow the syllabus and you will pass with an A.
I took this as an elective for Fall B semester online. The class pace was fast and gave an overview of the criminal justice system. Content was easy to understand. Discussions and test are easy. Most of my lost points were because of mistakes I made on APA citations.
A good teacher that is clear and fair. Is a tough grader but has extra credit opportunities that make up for potential missed points. For an introductory class is can be challenging at times but what is expected is clearly outlined and fair.
Great professor, explains all the assignments well and does a great job making sure you know what is expected for the course.
Highly responsive, and caring.
Has great looks too!
I felt inspired to learn during the entire time thanks to the Professor's experience in teaching.
Taking this class in Fall B. The discussion assignments make you really think about how the criminal justice system operates. 5 Disucssion assignments, a mid term, and a final and that is all the coursework for the class.
Taking this class in Fall B. The discussion assignments make you really think about how the criminal justice system operates. 5 Disucssion assignments, a mid term, and a final and that is all the coursework for the class. Overall not a bad class.
You have to do every assignment in APA which is not a problem, but when you make the mistake she doesnt explain the mistake to you. Also, she makes you find a peer reviewed article for every discussion. Make sure you stay on top of deadlines.
This class is interesting but she is super tough when it comes to citations and format. Also there's a final exam and final paper which is 7 pages too long.
5 discussions(include 1 peer review article citation within the discussion)and reply to two students (150 word count for replies) Midterm ,final, and 5-7 page paper (5 sources). She is very strict when it comes to apa format .She deducts point for not citing correctly. The work is not hard but you do have to really make an effort and keep up.
Take her! She give extra credit and theres no weekly test or quizzes.
As long as you do the work you will pass her class. She is fair with her grading. The only thing I found different was the final paper, but overall I would definitely take her again.
If youve been getting by with APA references by copy paste get ready to truly learn how to cite your references!!! Other than that good class and informative.
She gives clear instructions to what is expected from the course. No chance for makeups but she does offer many extra credit opportunities to help with your grade! Regular discussions due on Sundays with additional 2 replies. She gives announcements for upcoming assignments. Very specific with APA format!
You are going to learn APA format! Not a bad professor, but a lot of work for an Intro class. However, if you do your work you'll get an A. Also she give extra credit opportunities. Pretty straightforward.
Not a bad class just be aware that if you take this professor you will need to use sources that are peer reviewed other than that the way she teaches the class is pretty straight foward.
This professor is very consistent with the assignments. What's in the syllabus is exactly what you will be assigned and on the dates they are due so you alway know what to expect. She responds fairly quickly to emails which makes things a lot easier if you don't understand the instructions given for an assignment.
Great teacher, a little excessive in the workload amount for an intro class. Does not allow late work at all, not even for a cut in grade. However, she does give extra credit opportunities.
Overall, good teacher but the amount of work for an introduction class was a bit heavy. APA formatting was a big highlight of this professor and would mark you down for the slightest of mistakes.
Overall great professor! She gives a moderate amount of work (5 discussions, midterm and final). Highlights APA format citations. Easy to reach or speak to and care about your progress and understanding of the subject.
The class work itself isn't bad. She's just very picky with APA but if you ask her, she'll explain exactly how she wants it. 5 discussions with two replies each, midterm, final paper, and final exam plus extra credit opportunities (mini term).
Great professor, she takes her time to read and grade everything. If you read the class notes, search for peer reviews articles and journals, use APA, you should get an EASY A. Do the work, dint expect this class to be like Im going to lay back class. You have to write and follow the rules. If you follow the rules, youre gonna get 100%.
Mini term. 5 discussions that aren't like normal discussions, they are mini essays and need apa formatting which is annoying. Weekly workload isn't bad that term paper was extremely difficult. Instructions were clear but a lot was left out that she expects you to automatically know. She's nice and responsive but wouldn't take for mini term again
Very few assignments you did have to read a lot, midterm, final paper and final exam. Final paper is hard and I did not feel like I was ready for it, very confusing her instructions were clear it was hard for me to understand APA is very important in this class.
Very tough grader. Mini session with this professor is difficult. Every week a discussion post is required with proper APA citation. If you make any formatting mistakes with APA, be prepared to get points deducted. Final paper is very hard. I am a junior, and am having difficulty with it. Professor does give good feedback and gives extra credit.
I loved the course and the course load. One discussion post every week, 2 exams total, and a final paper. Everything is clear cut, just make sure to do the discussion posts how she wants them done.
The workload is pretty heavy, especially for a mini term, but if you do all the work the way you're supposed to, you'll pass with an A. You definitely have to work for it but it's not impossible. Get started on the final paper as soon as you can!
This professor has high expectations for her students. The class consists of 5 discussions and a mid term, final, and final paper. This class is set up exactly as it is in the syllabus.
This professor isn't that bad and the amount of coursework is decent for the length of the term. (This was a mini term around 6 to 7 weeks). The class is straight forward only thing to be mindful of is that every source has to be peer reviewed. This professor is very particular about that. But overall not so bad.

I really liked this professor. She responded to emails almost immediately and gave good feedback on assignments so you knew where you went wrong on an assignment. Professor Leimberg is a great professor. Would recommend!
The the assignments for this class are enjoyable and they really got me thinking about what I had thought I knew about crime. I thank Prof. Leimberg for getting me there and helping me understand the basis of criminal justice.
This professor is a tough grader and takes of points for simple mistakes but I understand why she does it. It gives students the opportunity to better their writing and critical thinking skills. I enjoyed this class.
Professor Leimberg is pretty cool. She spaces out assignments so you have enough time to do them and her reviews include every topic that is a test. She keeps up with her emails and gets back to you really quickly. This professor is very accessible and I like her class and would definitely take her again.
Definitely a tough course especially with how tough she grades assignments. However, prepares you fr a future in this field if thats your goal.
Mini Term Class and it consists of 5 discussions, 2 exams, and 1 final paper. The professor is really specific in APA format and peer review references. So make sure your on point with that. Other than that enjoy this class.
Easy class for the most part. She is fair I ha w no complaints.
Professor was very flexible. You have a whole week to complete your assignments, so if you have a very crazy schedule i would suggest to take her. In order to pass this class you really have to make sure that you are doing your assignments. This class was a late class so all your assignments are due within a week, so you need time to complete.
This class was not hard, but it does require a degree of understanding the material to do well in the course. The work load for the class is doable. It consist of 5 discussions, Midterm and Final exams, plus a final 5-7 page paper. The discussions are heavily graded on APA format and citation. I do think the workload was much for an intro class.
Helped in a time of need great professor all around!!
The syllabus was thorough and concise about submitting and grading of assignments. And she also gave extra credit throughout the semester. I loved being in Prof. Leimberg's intro class!
Read the course material and you should be fine throughout the semester. Five discussion posts, a final paper, midterm, and final exam. The class is not difficult, and overall a very great professor.
AmaIng Professor easy assignments
At first, I was scared of taking this class because I've heard it was extremely hard but Professor Leimberg provides very good feedback on all our work in a timely matter. You can tell she cares about students passing and responds to emails very quick! I would take her again.
I took this class online and to be honest it was easier than I thought. There were 5 assignments and each assignment lead to the 2,000 work paper at the end which made it easy since most of the work had already been completed throughout the semester.
She is fair and gives positive feedback on assignments. Very helpful and wants to see you succeed.
Very strict but clear on what she expects. A bit of a tough grader but overall worth it and makes you work for it.
One of the best professors I have taken. She gives good feedback on assignments so that you could do better on the next. Also gives extra credit! I would def take her again!
Professor Anna Leimberg is amazing! She answers emails quickly and if you have any doubts on an assignment she takes her time to explain it to yo. She gives good feedback on all assignments. The class consists of 4 assignments that are all to help your Policy brief paper and Powerpoint on the Policy. I would definitely take her again.
Professor Leimberg was very reasonable with her grading and gave you plenty of time to finish your assignment. She also let you know what to work on and what you could correct. Do your assignments on time and follow her directions completely and you will be fine. I would take her again in a heartbeat!
Professor Leimberg has a good feedback on her subject, she definetly gives a good hefty amount of assigments & gives feedback on it. As long as you follow the instructions carefully and follow her leads it will be fine. Large Paper due at the end of the semester that will weigh your overall grade. If you put in the work you can get a good grade.
Great teacher, one of the things I liked about her its that she gave us feedback on our work so next time we can do better for the next assignment.
Great professor. She is extremely helpful and answers e-mails very quickly. Would definitely take her again.
Professor is extremely to the point on everything required for this course. She is also very helpful when it comes to responding to emails. She is also very understanding with people that need the extra assistance in tough situations.
She is a bad teacher.
This professor is amazing ! She does give a lot of work but its all to help out your final paper ! She gives good feedback on everything and answers emails quickly
Great professor and very understanding. Gives great feedback and makes you aware of your mistakes. You will leave as a better writer by the end of the term guaranteed.
Because it is a capstone class, get ready to work! Professor Leimberg provides really good and in depth feedback which can be used to improve future assignments that need to be turned in. I would definitely take her again!!
She was a great professor and did everything she could to help me improve my grade.
She answers emails very quickly and gives thorough explanations when you ask a question. It is evident that she cares and wants her students to do well. It was a great semester with Professor Leimberg despite everything going on in the world. Would definitely take again.
She is so nice and helpful. Do not be afraid to email her if you have any problems. Follow the directions and you will get an A. Would definitely take her again.
One of the best criminal justice teachers at FIU. Responds to emails very fast and gives very good feedback. Would take her again without a doubt!
Overall, this class was not easy but not impossible. It is a senior capstone class so that was expected. It consists of a paper which the professor has you work into different sections and outlines so that the final paper is easier to write.
Professor Leimberg is truly a great professor. She is very clear on the instructions for the assignments and gives helpful feedback. It's doable!
She's a tough grader but she is clear on how she wants the work. She replies to emails quickly and I'd take her class again. Graded on few assignments.
I liked that this class helped work up to the final paper. There were 4 assignments that divided the final paper into different parts, which made it easier in the end to complete. She will make you work for your grade but she also offers extra credit to help your grade.
Great Teacher! she provides nice feedback and she is very clear with the instructions, also, she sends a lot of emails to remind students of homework.
She is such a great teacher. She really helped me improve my writing and was there whenever I needed her.
I'm not a great writer but she helped me feel like I can become one. Her feedback was clear and concise.
Solid teacher. Love the structure of the assignments.
The semester isn't even over yet, and I feel compelled to say DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH ANYONE ELSE! She gives you detailed instructions plus solid examples on how everything should be done. If that's not good enough, you can email her and she responds with even more detail within a few hours. She is very sweet, and genuinely cares. Expecting A.
If she's available, take Professor Leimberg for your Capstone. She is wonderful and provides great feedback. Her grading criteria is always clear and she's more than happy to read over your assignment before you submit it. She was a pleasure and I would definitely take another class with her. She's truly a gem and you should take her.
Prof. Leimberg is the go-to professor for your senior capstone class. She is very clear and direct from the beginning. The class might seem intimidating but she helps you and gives you feedback each step of the way. What I loved was her accessibility and willingness to always help. She is there for you each step of the process. Kind. Extra credit!
Prof Leimberg is amazing. She cares so much about her students and shell answer your emails so quick. If you have the choice to take her, please do!
Porf Leimberg is very good at replying to emails, she makes it clear on how she wants her assignments. However, she is a tough grader.
Professor Leimberg was an absolute gem! COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION, keep her in the loop if you struggle, if you have questions, or have any personal matters. I took the 8 week course and it all revolves around the final paper, extensions will not be given unless you communicate with her. She is a true professional!
Super vague on assignment instructions. She says the class is optional, but then it's not really optional if it's the only place she somehow gets to explain assignments. If you don't go to class, expect a bad grade for the assignment and horrible feedback. If you want to learn and get good feedback, do yourself a favor and pick another professor.
Prof Leimberg was honestly my favorite professor. She is straight to the point with her assignments. If you ever had doubts ALWAYS EMAIL HER. She taught me so much that I never knew in writing. She had 2 discussions and the rest of the assignments were basically to prepare you for the FINAL PAPER. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Prof. Leimberg is an amazing professor. The best professor you could choose for the Senior Capstone. She replies to emails so fast and most importantly she's so caring and understanding. Does not tolerate late work, but it's really easy to do all her assignments as she gives you samples of how she exactly wants you to do the work. 100% recommend!!
Professor Leimburg was a great professor. This was an upper level course so there was obviously some work needed. But she responded right away to emails and made the grading criteria very evident.
Awesome professor and I highly recommend taking her for capstone if you need to. She gives feedback and grades on time. A normal amount of assignments and if you need to reach her she is always available and answers in a timely manner. If you do the work you will get your A. Highly recommend!
Great professor who takes the time to give feedback on assignments. If you listen to the feedback and improve on what's needed you will pass the class. Also responds very quickly to emails.
The teacher is very nice and caring. She provides a lot of feedback. If you incorporate her feedback into the assignments, you will definitely receive an A. In this class its 2 discussions, 4 writing assignments, a research paper draft and final draft of 10-15 pages and lastly an oral presentation. No exams or quizzes. She is worth taking!
Professor Leimberg is AMAZING. She is very understanding and she truly wants you to succeed in her class along with life in general. I would take her for every class if I could. As of the course itself, it was hard of course but it's expected for Capstone. She is very thorough with her instructions and I suggest you show up to class.
Professor Leimberg is amazing and actually cares about her students! She will go out of her way to explain anything that you have a doubt about, super nice and understanding.
Very kind and understanding, makes each class vibrant and new. Light grader!
I took Professor Leimberg for CCJ 2020, she was very understanding when I had computer issues for tests. She was accessible outside of class and answered right away. Overall a great professor!
