I LOVED THIS CLASS! Anna is the best! This class is more play than learning and an easy GPA boost. You'll want to come to this class. You watch plays, then discuss in class. You'll be in front of the class but even if you have stage fright, it'll be a blast. I suggest taking it with a friend if you can!

You will learn a lot from her and more importantly a lot from this class. This class will help you mature as an adult, I definitely learned a lot and if I could, I would take this class again with her as the professor. You'll watch plays, discuss them in class, write a few papers, do some acting exercises. Highly recommend taking THEA with Anna.

This is my absolute favorite class and for being an 8AM-- that says a lot. Anna is such a wonderful teacher, she is passionate about acting and teaches with such clarity. I learned so much from this class and am now going to pursue acting. I would definitely take this class with her again. HIGHLY, HIGHLY SUGGEST TAKING IT!

Anna is amazing. She always has fun stuff for the class to do and she really help bring out everyone's true character. I've never been ina class where absolutely no one dropped. You'll want to go to class and you will always have a blast. A few theatre performances are mandatory, but it's cool because she's in a few of them.

I love her! She is absolutely amazing! I have never actually taken a theatre class before and i had to complete my last under grad class so i chose this. I learned so much from her class. i think that everyone should be required to take this class. she is fun and very diff from other professors. down to earth.

What you put into to class is what you're going to get out. Anna shows up to class with an excitement level of about 95%-100% every day. Its not like shes on bouncing off the ceiling but if your not participating in class you basically shouldn't show up. Anna makes the class do-able and if everybody participates like our class its a blast to be in.

TAKE HER! she is the best I love this class it broke my heart when it was over. you become close with the others. I had so much fun. some days when I was down in the dumps this class cheered me up show up and participate I guarantee you an A. I wish I can have her again.

Omg take her! Really opened up my eyes to how great the theatre really is! You read a lot of great short plays and see a few too! Anna is really great and really cares about the theatre business and made class fun and really listened and encouraged people's opinions! Even us non theatre majors! This ended up being me favorite class of the semester

Anna Steers is a nice, energetic professor, although she does seem to require a lot of busy work. There are several papers to write, midterm, final, group presentation, and 5 plays to attend. Attendance is imperative to a good grade! Take Craig Fleming if you could because he seems to be the easier of the two professors.

She one the most helpful and inspiring teachers on this campus. She is the most trained on the Meisner technique so if you have the opportunity take her. She is always very loving and caring and will to whatever it takes to help her students succeed! She is a must to take!!!

I love this class, it was my favorite this semester. Anna is a great professor with a huge heart. She has so much energy and truly cares for her students, also it doesn't hurt that she's good looking. I felt so comfortable being silly in this class along with my classmates. She's a must take!

She teaches Meisner which is a really helpful tool to have as an actor. She is super professional, and class is mandatory. She is really understanding and if you explain to her what is going on in your life she will help you figure stuff out. She is pretty sarcastic at times, but thats just her personality. A rad person. Anna is truly a sweetheart! She really cares about her students and loves them. However, please don't confuse the two, her class is not really what you're expecting. You will not be doing a lot acting and theater work. Pretty much all you do is play silly games which I find as a complete waste of time. Again, the teacher is lovely

I really enjoyed this class. Anna is very nice and easy to approach. She seems really passionate about what she is teaching, and she really wants her students to learn about the real world. You only use the book about 2 or 3 times and I don't really think you need to buy it.

Having no acting experience, I was nervous what to expect. However, Theatre 113 became one of my favorite classes. There is never a dull moment. The class is extremely social and I made lots of friends. Anna is the sweetest professor and always makes the class fun! TAKE THIS CLASS :)

I always wanted to take a theater class but never did in high school. I was nervous at first when the semester began, but she makes the class feel really comfortable with each other and it makes it easier to present. It is a fun class, especially some of the exercises. She is a really nice professor, and she makes the class simple and fun.

OMG! She is the best! So fun! Never a dull moment! And is always there for you. You will love her! And for THEA113 there is no way you cannot get an A. Her class is an amazing break from all of your other classes. And even on my worst days her class always cheered me up.

Come to class, participate in whatever games for the day, and do the assignments (whether partner or group) and EASY A! You need to attend 4 plays (which you will have to pay for) and then you will write a reflection essay about them -- no stress tho. Other hw includes reflections on exercises and answering questions from bk. super fun class!

4 mandatory plays so 3-4 easy papers, a few monologues, one music video, and the final is basically just showing up. it's a class final and my class pretended that we were all at a wedding and basically just had a potluck and danced the whole time. she's really nice and genuinely cares for you. take her. she's probably the best teacher on campus

Overall she's very laid back and her class isn't difficult at all. If you are shy, then this class will probably be hard for you since she's makes the class interact and stand in front of your peers a lot. TAKE THIS GE COURSE IF U WANT AN EASY A!!! PS the assignments from the book are opinion based so the book isn't really necessary. EASY CLASS!

Easiest A ever. She's a really sweet person and laid back. Must attend plays. Usually, there is a paper due right after the play. 2 monologues and 2 scenes. Final was to act out a wedding and an in-class writing assignment. Homework was given rarely and its super easy. I definitely recommend her.

Amazing teacher! She is caring, passionate, and inspiring. She is incredibly understanding but she will push you to perform at your best because she knows you can! I don't know about you but whether a class is mandatory or not, I would rather have a teacher like Anna who pushes you to do well. I plan on taking a class with her next semester!

I hate public anything however Professor Steers made the environment super welcoming. I got the chance to get out of my comfort zone and I loved every minute of her class.

Very easy class. Although it's easy, compared to all the other theater 113 classes this class goes at a much faster pace. There are alot of games she makes you play which forces you to participate.

She is such a nice and funny professor. She has us play a lot of fun games and you must participate in order to pass. No quizzes. You have to watch 4 plays and write a 1-page opinionated paper on each. It's really easy. There are a few group projects. The midterm is you perform a monologue you write yourself and the final is a fake wedding.

The final at the end of the semester is an improv wedding, which was so much fun. I also made tons of friends in this class. Easy A if you show up and do the homework.

She made the online class a walk in the park. Yes there is a lot of reading but its not difficult to get through. The quizzes are based on the readings, term paper and final paper.

Loved this class. Its not only about reading, its also about your own personal perspective on different plays we read. Typically shell ask a play based question plus make you think about different parts of each play and what their meaning were to you. She made this class easy

Steers is a fantastic professor. Super easy and chill class. You perform skits and small group activities. It is an easy A if you attend and participate (as with any other theatre class).

She went out her way to make the class a safe environment where we could all express ourselves. You only have a 3 big scenes and some textbook work. I loved Professor Steers. I have no interest in acting but took it for my GE and don't regret it AT ALL. Be ready for lots of group performances which were super easy to ace. She really only cares about your participation than your acting. No tests and only a few writing assignments that can be done in 30 minutes.

Super fun class! Professor Steers was amazing. Took this class for fun and I enjoyed every moment of it. Each week we do group activities and some week we do group performances and we get to within music for the music video, scene from a tv show/movie. We also had to watch a couple of plays as well. Please take this professor if you can.

Anna is one of the greatest teachers I've had in my entire schooling experience. She's extremely kind, caring, funny, and treats you as an equal. You learn a lot of great techniques in this class, and she only makes everything better and more fun to grasp.

You have to show up to get credits because most of your assignment would be acting out in front of class, so reading and writing would not heavy for this class. Very chill, comfortable, and nice environment! There was four plays that I had to pay to watch throughout the semester, but overall, for me it is worth!
