Boring class but pretty easy.You dont have to go though, her attendance policy dosent count against your grade.If you skip just read the book.Lots of opportunities, tests are straight from the book. I go MAYBE half the time and pull a high A.

GREAT TEACHER! Knows her biology, gives power points online before lecture. All tests come from lecture power points, tests are pretty easy if you just study those. She gives lots of extra credit options and drops lowest exam score. Can pull off an A without going to class. Best teacher yet!

Do not take her 8:00 class... attendance is key to passing. She uses test questions that students will only know if they were in class... such as "which of the following is not an example we went over in class?" Good teacher, very helpful, and knows a lot about bio.

As long as you go to this class you will be able to pass. She takes the test questions straight from the notes which she puts on BB. She does add in a few things that you will only know if you go to class though. She also has a few in class assignments that aren't in the syllabus.

I took this class 3 years ago. I transferred but this teacher is amazing and VERY helpful. I got an A and all you have to do is go to class or get the notes from someone who did. LOVED her!!

Hands down, one of the best teachers here at ECU. I loved her. She really cares about her students, makes class very interesting, & is very helpful when needed. Her tests are relatively easy. As long as you do the study guide and go to class you're sure to make an A. Usually does note cards for attendance on fridays so try not to miss!!

Powerpoint slides that a posted on blackboard, but says key things in class that are on the test. randomly takes attenance each week, especially on Fridays. Tests are not that easy; studying has to be done to have an A or B.

Dr. Bunnel is awesome. She gives study guides before exams. Do them and your straight. Also, at the end of the semester, she lets you come in to see your old tests and the correct answers. Do not miss this! The exam is made of these questions. I made a 100 on the exam because of it. She is very helpful and understanding.

She is a great teacher. She really knows the material. She takes attendance randomly and when she does it is for a grade. All of the test material comes directly from her powerpoints, which are on blackboard. Take notes or print them-study them and you should come out with at least a B.

If you come to class and pay attention, class is easy. Occasionaly checks attendence, especially on days that are commonly missed like after Halloween or before Thanksgiving.

The most useful advice I can give you: GO TO CLASS. While attendance is not mandatory and is checked at random, you stand to lose crucial points if you miss an in-class assignment (they are usually unannounced). It's an easy course if you study the lecture notes (on black board) and skim the chapters in the book. Great teacher---interesting.

If you listen to any of the comments off this site listen to this one. Class is boring but if you go to class you can get up to a 120 for a test grade. Tests aren't really hard but they aren't that easy either. You don't have to study very hard to get a decent grade in the class. I never went to class and still made a B.

Biology 1100 taught by professor Bunnell is a breeze. I really won't into science at all but she made it fun to go to. You just have to GO TO CLASS and all the notes are online so just look over the study guide before the test and you'll be fine. Plus she drops the lowest Exam grade. Take her for sure

Really, don't take her if you have the chance. Her tests are impossible, she isn't that good at explaining things. All you do in class is listen to her read power points from blackboard, and attendance is mandatory. I am a 3.8 student and got a D. If you can switch teachers, do it.

This class is so easy. Haven't studied for a test yet and the lowest I've gotten on a test is a 86. Go to class EVERY DAY because of the attendance and this will pad your grade a bit. Biology has always been very easy for me, so maybe that's why I think it is the way it is.

She's so nice and her lectures are in-depth she answers all in class questions and also allows student private help with tests. She drops your lowest test grade and if you go to ALL the classes you WILL be rewarded. Lectures during class.. knows a lot during biology. take notes and pay attention! tests can be hard and random attendance is usually taken. take advantage of the tutoring opportunites she gives, they are EXTREMELY helpful.she is really nice and will let me go to her 1200 class instead of normal class at 3.this is challenging but i reccommend her!

GO TO CLASS. She usually takes attendance by making you fill out a notecard based on opinions of what your learning. Be sure to attend on fridays and before any kind of holidays. Did not use book, but I would recommend reading it. Slides only cover little info. Switch out if you can!

Going to class is optional, but 85% of the time, she gives you 1 extra point for coming to class, and the points add up, so go!

Anne Bunnell is a very good teacher and explains the material well. She drops your lowest test score (or your attendance points) to help you out. There is occasionally a thing or two on the test that isn't gone over in class but mostly we cover the material in class thoroughly. There are also many opportunities to go to a study session.

A superb professor. She is the ideal college professor ? copious use of power-point, manages large theaters of students and gives enlightening lectures. She will drop your lowest test score and gives reasonable tests. I only wish I could have had her for more courses.

She is very serious about attendance and tests. Every test has short answer/essay questions that count for a lot of points. You can pass if you study hard, but make sure you know the material well enough to answer "short answer" questions in depth

Every single question on the exams are from the Prep-U website that comes with the book if you buy it new, or rented. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND bunnell, she is very sweet and will help you with anything. take the practice quizzes on Prep-U and study those questions and memorize the answers! THEY'RE EXTREMELY HELPFUL!

She comes off as mean because she does not allow cell phones at all and walks around the room to see what you are doing. But if you go to her office hours she is sweet and very willing to help you in any way. She loves biology and is a great teacher that makes it easy to learn. If you go to class and print the power points you will be good.

The practice and blackboard quizzes are easy 100's and are a useful tool when studying for the exam, but make sure you know the short answer topics very well. It's very clear to understand her. You get an easy grade for participation and I recommend not skipping class. At the end of class she randomly gives assignments which are typically easy. Quizzes are easy grades and are a GREAT study tool when it comes to her tough tests. Study hard and show up! I'm taking her again for another biology class.

Professor Bunnell is a very good professor. Her class is straight forward and simple. If you show up to class you'll pass easily. She takes attendance via TopHat so you have to come to class to get the attendance code. She lectures all class and gives little assignments to give you a few points. Take Bunnell! Make sure you go to every class, it counts as an exam grade in the end! If it weren't for that I wouldn't have made a B-. She doesn't give out homework but only quizzes that are due before tests. Most of everything that are on the blackboard quizzes are on the tests! I recommend her!

Bunnell was a different kind of professor. Biology is something that she defiantly takes seriously. She knows how to use her life events and put it into biology. I absolutely loved professor Bunnell. Even with a class of 200+ people, I felt like she really cared about all of our success. She goes to great lengths to try and explain concepts. I bought the book, but honestly it confused me more than anything. I scored better on the tests by taking detailed notes and going over the lectures.

I really enjoyed Bunnell as a professor. She teaches through powerpoint but also uses real-life examples to make the content more relatable. She uses Top Hat to take attendance every class as well as to ask you questions. She takes her tests very seriously and has at least 3 proctors in the room during test days. Anne is really a great biology professor. She's been teaching here for a while, and she is seriously passionate about her profession. She'll teach you the right stuff, and will give you great tips to remember things. She also get the class involved in lectures, but her tests can be tough! I am not a biology major so I was skeptical coming in but overall I really enjoyed this class. Professor Bunnell's lectures were always very interesting and she made them engaging. Being that there was around 200 students in my class, I was impressed at how much she interacted and had her students listening. She rarely checks her email though.

If you can, take BIOL 1050 w/ her. She was always super accessible in office hours and after class when I had questions. Tests aren't hard as long as you do her review sheet and go to class. She drops your lowest exam grade, and if you're satisfied with your grade you don't have to the the final. Also, don't buy the textbook, I used it once.

Uses clickers, packback questions weekly, $25 access code needed, about 15 practice quiz questions are on the test. I think you can miss maybe 3 lectures. First test was easy, second was hard, final replaces lowest test grade. The final is optional and cumulative with 115 questions.

Live lecture is not mandatory(online).Assignments are worth the most points. Video quiz & quiz are easy. Easily get 100's on those. All lectures are recorded so you can go back & take notes. Lectures were boring at times and its important you go to them. Exams are tough but nothing impossible. I would suggest her if you have a genuine interest in biology. She is very helpful

I really liked Mrs. Bunnell. She is a very understanding professor. She cares about her student's grades. Attendance is mandatory but if you are unable to get to class, just email her and explain why. We did weekly packbacks and we had weekly quizzes. Overall a great professor.

Lecture classes are kind of boring, but its biology. Ms. Bunnell does really care about her students. All of the quizzes allow 5 retakes. Not much more you can ask for of a teacher in a lecture with 200 students. Anyone who doesn't get a good grade in this class is just lazy. She always allow questions and office hours. Recommend this course

Ms. Bunnel was great! Her class is mainly lectures but you'll have work outside of class. Attendance is part of your grade so definitely come to class. She's very understanding as long as you communicate a conflict you have with her, she responds to emails pretty quickly. Overall a great class and teacher!

She was a great professor but make sure you show up to the lectures because you miss a lot of material if you don't. I highly recommend pursuing tutoring outside of the class if you are struggling or else you won't be successful in the class. Attendance is also a big chunk of your grade so go to class. She is a great professor for 1050!

She was a good professor and will help you if you ask for it. The exams can be tricky but not too bad. She says the textbook is required but I barely used it and I did fine. I bought the book but I regret doing that.

I recommend this professor if you need a Bio credit and you're not a Bio major. She does a lot of lectures and you have to be present in order to get credit. The tests are a little hard but aren't too bad and the assignments and quizzes are pretty simple to do. Great professor.

I love Professor Bunnell. She is very kind and understanding. The class is based on tests and homework. The tests are very fair, you will do well if you attend class. Attendance is mandatory, however lectures are interesting and go by fast. She is very passionate and explains material well. If you need an extension on homework, she will allow it.

Bunnell is a solid professor, but her lectures can be dry. Attend class and utilize resources like unstuck study for study prep to succeed. Assignments and tests are challenging, but she's understanding if you communicate issues. Overall, a good class if you put in the work.

Ms. Bunnell is a good teacher. If she does not know the answer to a question, she will go out of her way to find it. She is friendly and personable. This class was very easy for me, and I assume many others. She lists all of the work that you need to do each week on canvas in an organized fashion. Very good

Professor Bunnell was a great instructor because she was passionate about her studies. Although her lectures can get long and boring, your grade really just reflects your effort. There are mainly quizzes, video, and animation quizzes, which you get multiple tries on. Her exams are long and a little tough, so make sure to use her study guides!

The class was pretty difficult, but she was overall a great professor and would help the best she could. You can have one one meetings with her to go over past tests or discuss other things. Her lectures are good and she helps to understand concepts that can be difficult.

She's very sweet, and knows a lot about the topics. However, she tends to ramble a bit but that is because she likes to go into detail. The assignments are fairly consistent and she's big on grading quickly, even with a class of 250. Gives good feedback on assignments, and tried to be flexible where she could.

This class is super lecture heavy, and attendance is taken every day. She posts all of the notes, which is super helpful!! There is a LOT of homework, usually 7/8 things due once a week, but it probably takes 2 hours to do it all. She is super nice and gives so many graded assignments, which is helpful if you do poorly on an exam.
