She is tough. Don't be late and don't leave early. Class is pretty helpfull but unless you have no clue about you'r career dont take the class. She is a good teacher though

I completely dissagree with the other ratings. I found the class interesting and informative.She is very informed and if you pay attention you will learn something.She is very clear on whats expected.you do have to attend class and partcipate... imagine that.

First online class, and Easiest class I have ever taken. Teacher is very nice, and accessible for help. You show up for the first meeting, and everything else is at home... tests and all. Easy A if you are self motivated to get the work done.

Took online. She likes a lot of work to be done outside of the book and through different websites, some of which was not always helpful. She likes disscussion, which helps to enforce the material. Overall, there was just a little overkill in homework, but I did learn the material.

I probably could have dedicated myself more but for an online class, it's mildly challenging. I was given a B with an 89.5% Kind of mad that wasn't rounded but oh well. Hearing the comments about her not liking men actually has me concerned cause online you can't tell. Hope that didn't affect any overlooking of .5%.

The professor was very informative and knowledgeable. There was an ongoing journal required, and one midterm which was take home (open book, open note), same as the final.

I can't believe the jerks who are complaining about this Professor. She was BY FAR the best teacher I have had in all of my classes and I AM A GUY!!! If you are interested in the psychology of women (which is what the class IS, after all!) you will LOVE this class. IF you are interested in psych PERIOD you will love this instructor. She's fantastic

I took Psych of Adjustment from Prof Cox and it changed my life. She is incredibly smart, kind, caring, and wise. If you want to have a wonderful experience exploring your own life, I highly recommend this Instructor. Not sure why some raters are saying she doesn't like men because I am male and that's a lie. She is a really great instructor.

She is a very good Professor, very helpful and always ready to answer questions, I am currently a part of her internet class and she responds to emails within that same day! I love her, she made my first experience of internet classes a good one. I recommend her on the internet and I'm sure shes even more awesome in person. Very easy and a breeze.

ONLINE COURSE-- She talks too much during the two face-to-face meetings. She is very clear about the assignments. The textbook readings are not necessary as the homework is mostly based on online exercises and websites. She musn't have a complete understanding of computers since this was an online class and she still required a hard-copy of final.

Professor Cox is very nice and positive. Likes students to work in groups. Tests are take home and you have about a week to do them. You especially need to read up on specific sections that you will be assigned to essentially teach the class, she will ask you to explain the chapter for everyone in your own words, not too scary if you read.

8 WK-ONLINE: Amazing course. Two chapters a week and you have a week to complete the reading and assignments on the chapters read (she gives really fun interactive assignments). Tests are open-book and very clear...no trick questions. She is very organized and expressive as to what is required of you. I'd definitely recommend her!!

I took the online class (8week)-a decent amount of work, but it isn't hard work. I definitely recommend taking this class. Interesting information and she doesn't ask a lot of you. Tests aren't timed and you can (obviously) use your book/notes/another person for help. Take it!

Easy A as long as you do eveything asked. Lots of self-evaluation tests. Only about 1-2 hours of work for the whole week! "Final" is a typed summary of course. Highly recommended online course!!!

It is an easy A. Unlimited time for taking an oline tests. Easy tests & no tricks. Quiz for each chapter, but there was no final. A lot of homeworks (posting only), but seem like she didn't grade them.

Online Psych 1 with Professor Cox was the best class I've ever taken. She is smart and caring and extremely helpful. Anything you don't understand, she will help you with. I learned so much from her. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took the online 8-week class and got an A. I thought the class was really easy and just alot of discussion boar posting each week for the HW assignments. She is very easy and as long as you do the study center online which takes about 20 minutes you will do good on midterm and final. Tests are not timed and its an easy A+.

Professor Cox is a great professor. I took her online Women and Careers course and it was time consuming, but very much worth it. It was extremely easy, but she did not tell you your grades until the end of the course (which is okay, because if you do the work, you get an A).

This is one of the most interesting class I have ever taken. Online class requires you to do the reading and do the assignments each week. It does NOT take more than 3 hours as some has exaggerated below. Quiz and exam is straight from textbook. Only downside: she doesn't let you know the grade you got for discussion.

Dr. Cox is an outstanding teacher of both Psychology and Sociology. She is very knowledgeable about her subject matter and is an interesting lecturer. Dr. Cox truly cares about her students and is very understanding. He class does involve alot of reading and discussion, so you will have to work for your A. I think she's cute, too!

Lot of discussion boards, but you have to see it as the time you would spend in a classroom, not just as hw time. You can get them done in 2-3 hrs if you have to scramble last minute, but its tough. Quizzes have the answers on the book website. Final has no time limit, so use the book. Do the DB work, find the answers, get an A and learn a ton!

Fantastic class and fantastic instructor! I was taking this as a GE requirement and it turned out to be my very favorite class. The 8-week class does move fast (no surprise!) and there are weekly assignments on the DB's that are required, but it is online and you would be spending 6 hours a week in class if it were in person...I learned a lot!

A ridiculous amount of work, you will be constantly trying to catch up because you actually have other things to do too besides this one class. Online classes do require you to be self disciplined because no one is looking over your shoulder and you DO have to do the work if you want a good grade but you really learn a lot which I guess is the whole point, right? I learned a lot in this 8-week online course. It being only 8 weeks, it was a lot to take in. You have to really have the time to do the work, there is a lot. I wouldn't say it's hard, it is just very time consuming. I wish I had taken the regular course instead of accelerated but, overall, I enjoyed the class.

Great class and great instructor. I really learned a lot in this class. You have to be prepared to be in an accelerated class, though, as it is a 16-week class condensed into 8-weeks so it moves fast and you do the exact same amount of work. If you want the credit for a full-semester class and a really good teacher I highly recommend this class.

I really loved this online class. She is an excellent instructor and very helpful if you need help. Assignments are due each week and you have to keep up because it is only an 8-week class but you are getting the same credit as the full 16-week class. If you need Psych or are just interested in Psych I highly recommend taking her class.

This class is a lot of work; if you tend to procrastinate I advise that you do not take this class. You are expected to read two chapters (about 80-100 pages total), write a few discussion boards, do online activities, and take 2 quizzes a week. The book is engaging and I learned a lot; I highly recommend if you are willing to put in the work.

I thought that this class was going to teach me about women in the workforce hence 'Women & Careers', but it was more of a soul searching class about yourself. Loved the class which I took Spring semester. The chapters in the book are a great read and you can write about any topic you find interest in. Tons of extra credit options. Provides review sheet to help you study for the midterm and also the final. The posts are great because you share knowledge about the class notes with other classmates.

I took Women and Careers (WS 120) from Prof Cox and it was by far the best class I have taken in college. It helped me to decide what I want to do with my life and why I am in school at all. The class is all about you, so all assignments are about getting clear about who you are. I am so motivated now to pursue my future! Highly recommended!

I took her class online for psychology & she does care. This class consists of 2 reflection papers, 1 book review and 8 discussions. (inc. intro.) No final, tests, or quizzes, but you do have to work hard on those other assignments if you want an A. I recommend her & if you try & get a bad grade on an assignment, you get the opportunity to redo it.

If you're looking for an online class to take to finish GE's, take her. Gives good feedback, just put in some effort to the discussion posts. Unlimited attempts for quizzes and final exam. You'll only fail if you don't do anything.

Everyone should take this class! If you aren't sure what you are doing in college or for a career she will help you. The whole class is about finding out who you are and what you are interested in and good at. Yes, you have to actually do the work. Duh! Only tests are about your personality and interests and finding your path. I loved it!

This Professor is incredibly helpful when asking questions. She will go out of her way to research information for you and she will allow you time to recovery from rough life situations. She gives you all the tools online to understand the subject, just make sure to read the criteria for discussion posts/papers. Work, but you learn life lessons.

Great Professor. Her instructions are very clear on each assignment that you have to do. She responds to emails quickly and you can really tell that she is caring. If you have a lot on your plate, however, I don't advise you to take the 8-week course because the material is very heavy.

Its extremely difficult to earn less than an A in this class. You can endlessly take the quizzes and final until theyre due, but 8 weeks a ton of reading so be aware. Be thorough and thoughtful in discussion posts. Only complaint is that her communication style is kinda cold. If youre sensitive like me its an oof.

I loved this class! Took it in the summer to pick up extra credits and was not disappointed. She's very helpful and thorough, and the class is set up so you always know what's coming. Interesting reading, learned so much and really enjoyed the Discussion Boards (which are a big part of your grade). You have to keep up so do the work. She's great!
