lectured the whole time, took many pages of notes each class, essay test, gives you the questions before hand, but grades them very hard. she doesnt count attendance but u cant really miss alot.
She gives impossible essay tests and grades them very hard. She likes to let people know that she also has a PhD in English. She shows favoritism...so if you want a good grade just suck up!!
**** **** ****.... she is so boring, and she thinks that she is the greatest teacher in the world.... u have to go to class and participate or you wont do well on tests
not bad
she is pretty boring, but if you take good notes and participate in class discussions she'll take that into consideration. make sure she knows your name and who you are. it will really affect your grade. dont fall asleep! that really pisses her off
She gives you the essay questions WAY in advance and encourages you to formulate your answers to them ahead of time. All her tests are essay which kind of sucks, but if you do the little bit of research it takes to formulate an answer it's not too hard.
Lecture
first of all, she is rude. second of all she is snobby. on top of that, she plays favorites and grades extremely unfairly. i do not recommend her AT ALL.
I loved her!! Her lectures are so fascinating, and its all essay tests, and she lets you prepare for them in advance. Take her if you can.
Quite possibly the worst teacher on campus. You sit there and learn nothing and if she hadn't given us the questions ahead of time, i would've failed. Once said "as long as I get paid, that's all that matters." Doesn't care about her students
If you like history, her classes are bearable, but if you don't, you might want to take something else. She does give you all essay tests, and all the questions in advance, which makes it easier to get a good grade.
She's rude, snooby, and grades completely unfairly. She says participation counts only she doesn't know any of her students. After each class you want to die of boredom. Half of the time it seems like she doesn't know what shes talking about. Don't take her. Shes terrible.
The absolute worst teacher I have ever encountered at WCU! I hate her with a passion, she made me cry many times and made me miserable all semester. Not helpful or clear. Her tests are a joke even though she gives you the essay ques. ahead. For a 100 level class, its not easy! DONT TAKE HER
tests are essay, questions given before. readings due every friday, make sure u read them and participate in discussions, makes or breaks the class. if u participate, get on her good side (she has her favorites..and u know who they are), and do the readings, the class is awesome.
I have never sat in a class before and been literally afraid to raise my hand. If you say 1 thing that she disagrees with, she'll laugh in your face and call you stupid. Out of my 4 years in WC, I can honestly say she is the WORST teacher! Doesn't care, and the class isn't at all interesting.

I have no clue why so many people rated her the way they have. I had her two years ago and she was amazing! I hate history and she made it come alive for me! She does not have favorites, she DOES care about students. She can be difficult but this is college remember! I TOTALLY recommend her!!!!!!!!
I ran into her the other day after two years and she invited me to her office to catch-up. She said she enjoyed staying in touch with her students! So to say she is does not care about her students is an asinine statement! I would recommend her to anyone who enjoys learning something interesting!
Worst teacher at WCU. Test questions are given out before but you WILL get a bad grade unless your one of her favorites. I don't think this woman has any place teaching history. and the reading assignments are boring and confusing... but to pass you gotta sit through it
She is nice enough, and she does make history pretty interesting, but her class is impossible! She gives the test questions ahead of time, but their essays and even if your material is correct, if she doesnt like the way it is written you get a C. You have to do reading every week and right about them. If you have the choice, take someone else.
definitely plays favorites so kiss alot of ass and don't miss any classes and you'll be fine. class participation seems to be everything w/her so speak frequently even if its just "i agree with so and so but also blah blah blah". readings generally short and easy.
I dont see her playing favorites at all..her test are very fair..u dont really need the book jus read the primary sources and pay attention in class in you'll get As on the test like me..besides u have like 3 days to review the test
She's a nice lady, but a horrible teacher. Her lectures SUCK and you never understand what she's talking about. She goes off on tangents. She does give out tests ahead of time, but grades extremely hard. Everyone in my class failed it. Too much reading and expects you to have it done for the next day. WORST TEACHER, MAKES STUDENTS LITERALLY CRY!
She is a pretty good teacher if you're not afraid to speak out. Participation, attendence, and asking for help during her hours is important to getting a good grade. She does give the questions out before the test, but just make sure you put what she wants.
Plays extreme favorites. All essay tests which require you to read her mind and guess what she is asking. Very boring class; each day she talks about the part of history on her mind. Don't take her.
Her tests are hard. Even though she gives you the essay questions ahead of time its hard to please her with your answers. She expects a lot from you even though we had 50 mins to write 3 essays. Shes really nice though and kinda funny. She goes really fast, theres a lot of chapters to read and long extra assignments. You need to participate too.
Her tests are hard and you need to include ALOT of information, especially in making references to the primary sources she gives out in class, but she gives out the test ahead of time so a few hours spent in the library and you will have at least a B. She is definitely a tougher prof but approachable & A's are possible esp if you participate
She makes it very difficult to enjoy the class. I've never had anyone grade so harshly. She expects perfection in our essays but does not give us ample time to complete them. Her feedback is glib. I don't know if she gives A's, good luck trying to get one. Prepare to have your self esteem stomped out by mid semester! I've given up on this class!
She is a really nice lady but she does require a lot of reading and expects you to have a chapter read in 2 days. Her tests are pretty hard, she gives the essay questions out a head of time but this just makes it so she has very high expectations of what she wants in your answers.
She often contradicts herself, and/or the materials she had you read. A lot of reading. Very nice lady, and will help your grade out if you visit her during office hours. Tests are impossible, it is a 50 min class, you can't write a perfect essay, but she expects it! Expects you on time, and don't leave to pee! She is a stickler on Cell phones.
She's the hardest teacher I have ever had. gives essay tests and expects them to be top notch in 50 minutes... impossible! likes when people participate but is very intimidating. if you ask the wrong type of question she'll make you feel dumb. and gives ALOT of reading, good luck if you're taking her! (you're gonna need it)
You need to read the book and pay attention to her lectures to get at least a C on her test. She gives essay tests, but gives the questions out in advance. If you go to her during her office hours she will definitely help you with your essays. Also she likes when you participate in class.
she expects you to keep up with the reading and you must take good notes (yourself)
I have never hated a class more in my life! Ther is no structure to this course which makes it difficult to follow. She tells us to read the textbook, but then she won't talk about it at all. She has a horrible attitude nd makes you feel dumb. Tests r all essays, impossible to write in 50 mins. I will nvr take her again. She is the worst ever.
she is a terrible teacher and i hated every second of this class. if you wish to enjoy your college experience at all DO NOT take this class it will put you through hell and she won't care one bit.
She's an okay teacher. Her tests are all essays, each test consist of 2 essays. Wouldn't recommend it for students who are not history or english majors.
good intentions, but bad delivery, be prepared to teach yourself. and reading gallore.
I think she is a nice person, but when she teaches she jumps around so much that I never had any idea what she was talking about. The amount of reading you have to do is impossible along with the rest of your courses. It's a shame because she definitely knows a lot about history, but I feel like I didn't learn anything.
She is a very nice lady. I was not interested in history before this class but i learned a lot in her class and now i have an interest. Her tests are 2 essays but she gives them to you before hand, and you get to pick what essays you want to do. i just read the chapters i needed for the essays. Go to her office hours to get help!
The lectures aren't focused, and she's easily sidetracked. There is alot of reading, but she doesn't review most of it. Essay tests are essentially your only grade (besides participation), so if you have a difficult time writing essays under time pressure (questions are given in advance), I really would not take this class.
I really loved her class, as a history major that is focused on American history, the class wasn't too difficult. It's a lot of reading and there are essay tests that are timed (which is similar to AP), but the class is straight forward. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone who isn't afraid to work.
Please for the love of god, stay away from this teacher. I wouldn't wish her upon my worst enemy. Worst class and worst teacher I've had in my life.
I don't know if anyone's ever had the devil as a history teacher before, but if you want to know what it's like, take "Kruella-kowski's" class.
Nice woman but class is unstructured. One day we will come in and have to do a group project the next a pop quiz (which is crazy because 2/3 through the semester and no quizes given before). Her tests are near impossible. She expects two highly detailed essays in just 60 min. Treats a 100 level class as a 300 level class which is a little unfair
Krulikowski expects students to do the reading and participate in class. As long as you are respectful, you will get ALOT out of this class. If you don't like history, this is probably not the professor for you. As a history major, I loved this class and was glad I put in the effort to read because i learned alot and it boosted my GPA!
I took her class, "Urban America" during the summer. I LOVED HER...and the class was really interesting. Wonderful teacher, engaging and great sense of humor. Take her. You won't regret it! She's extremely bright, makes you think and funny as hell.
She really knows what she is talking about and she makes her subject very interesting, but she is by no means a good or fair teacher. She is very unstructured and jumps around far too much when lecturing. Which is all she does. No visuals, just talking. When taking notes, this can be very frustrating. Also, for a Gen Ed class, this was HARD.
WORST TEACHER EVER. all she does is talk, she treats you like your in high school yells at you for stupid stuff is so critical with her essay tests you can never win with her all she does is talk! not interesting completely turned me off to history. make history so boring
simply, DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!!! she is an absolutely horrible teacher.
no a huge fan of her. all her tests are essay tests and she grades the impossibly. very strict and very boring.
So if you're gonna take this class be prepared. There are only 3 tests including the final. I worked really hard and got an A so if you're used to slacking off get out now. She's not a mean person at all but the class is unpleasant. If you need help or have questions she will help you within reason.
Weird mood swings from class to class, definitely get on her good side early. Her tests are essays and she gives you the questions ahead of time. Only problem is we rarely talk about the actual essay topics in class. If you're a good writer and can piece together essays fairly well, it's a very doable B+/A-.
Class comprised of essay tests and discussion. If you are able to understand directions and read there is no reason why this class should be difficult. She id a fantastic lady who is knowledgeable and facilitates questions. If you think this class is hard, or don't like her, then you're not putting anything into the class.
Dr. Krulikowski was my first history professor at WCU. Her class is by no means hard. Taking AP in high school gave me a little big of an edge because her tests are just essays (similar to FRQ's if you took AP). The only reason she may dislike you is if you don't participate in the discussions. Talk a little bit, read the textbook and you're golden
Dr. K is a really nice person. It's obvious she is very passionate about the subject. But, she completely redid her classes. You have to read and answer analysis questions for pretty much every class and there are 5 analysis essays you have to write. It is a lot of work, but if you are up to is she is a good prof. Participate in class!
A very good teacher, lots of reading and writing for each class. It took some prep time from other classes. Worked hard all semester and final grade was A-.
Run away! Very, very, very difficult, tons of reading, boring, unreasonable. I wish I could get all those hours of my life back. The department has better teachers Scythes, Kodosky and Gimber you should take them instead of her.
She writes her own reviews to boost her scores, go back to 2003 & see for yourself - this teacher demeans students openly, laughs at wrong answers, called Bibliographies,"crap hate using them," remarks on papers R sarcasms not constructive. Liking a professor has nothing to do with their skill as teachers & this 1 has no skill at teaching.RUNaway
She is a really nice lady. SHe requires a lot of reading but personally I found it easy to get around reading the text book by googling things. She gives essay test and you get the test questions prior to the test. Participate in class and sound like you read the material (even if you didn't) and you will be fine!
She's not a bad person or prof. but her essay tests can be brutal. I feel like you could never shove enough facts in it. Always B's at best. Yet she was a much easy grader on my papers If you like history it can be interesting. She can be a little awkward to approach but not nasty. Altogether a decent professor.
TAKE HER she's so nice and LOVES history which really comes through in her class. also her tests come directly from the online quizzes that she tells us to take!! her class isn't mandatory and you can still do well even if you don't go! i love this teacher, take her class!
Don't take this class... She basically expects you to read nine chapters in this textbook in 3 weeks... So over 400 pages. Its crazy. You have to take a bunch of online quizzes like 3 times a week to get participation points. Just choose a different professor. She doesn't do essay test anymore. Its scantron and she blames the class for it
Lectures are very interesting and you can see how much she loves what she teaches. If you do the readings and practice tests you'll be fine. I was lazy the first half of the semester so I didn't do too well but I would def take her again. I was undeclared before her class, and now history is my major because she made me love it so much.
I don't know why her reviews are so negative, she is AMAZING! I absolutely loved her class and I always hated history classes before. A lot of reading, but she gives easy quizzes to bump up your grade. Tests are sole essay, but she gives you 3 essay options 2 weeks ahead of time. I would take her again and again if I needed anymore history credits!
Everything we did in her class was essay based! If you love writing take her class, she use to be an English teacher, but if not, and you're like me...run, drop, switch classes.
She is a great lady. All her tests are essays, but she gives you the prompts at least a week in advance and you get to use a 3x5 or 4x6 index card during them. The book was boring and for the essays you should do a little research on your own if you want to get a good grade on tests because it doesn't have enough info to provide great detail.
She was my favorite professor last semester. She is a bit of a tough grader, but go to her office hours, and she will help you earn an A. Once you figure out what she's expecting on her essay-based tests, it's easy to get an A- that is, with a lot of studying and hard work. I did learn a lot, and she was very helpful.
Dr. K is such a sweet lady and so helpful! I had her for HIS 150 and have her now for HIS 344. She really enjoys helping her students and her classes are so interesting! I would recommend her to anyone!
Dr. Krulikowski was a great professor! She taught me so much more and was very helpful. The ratings of her being hard and difficult are from people who are lazy! If you do the work and participate in class you will get an A! TAKE HER CLASS!
Dr. Krulikowski was a good professor overall. You have to do readings from the textbook for the quizzes, and you have to work really hard on her papers, especially the county history paper, but she is always willing to help if you are struggling! Work hard and you'll get an A in the class!
This is a hard class since they decided to merge two semesters worth of material into one. You have a quiz basically every week, but they are easy if you read. The tests are super hard though! She gives you three essay questions that are hard. She is super nice and funny but a hard class.
I didn't love her as a person and her lectures didn't always connect with the readings entirely. Best way to survive is do the readings. The quizzes are no big deal and if you prepare for the tests they aren't too bad, they will intimidate you at first though. Personally, I wouldn't take her again.
Dr. K is a nice person, but her class can be incredibly boring. All of her essay tests require you to use information from the textbook, and she tells you that she does not want anything from her lectures in the tests, so just sit in class and try to look like you're paying attention. The four essay tests are not hard as long as you read the text
You have to go to every single class She doesn''t use online very much which was hard for me because I need to make sure I''m doing everything ok You pretty much need to read a whole bunch and teach yourself I have no idea what she talks about in class.
only had to write short 2 pg papers on readings- no tests. makes it interesting. shes quiet but very nice if you ask for help or want to talk to her about anything history related
Nice lady, could be rude at times especially if you do not keep up with the readings (which most people do not because its on your own time). Does not do power points and expects you to listen to the whole lecture & take your own notes. Also does not use D2L or put anything online.
Good Professor but her lectures are completely non important. She is a good person but not the best professor. Just study for her essay tests and make sure to complete the Primary Documents and you are almost guaranteed a B or more.
Dr. Krulikowski is so passionate about this subject! She's very easy to talk to and most of the classes are just discussion. As long as you participate, she'll love you! Three long papers but she gives a lot of time to work on them. A lot of quizzes on the chapters made by students so become close to your classmates! You need the textbook.
Personally was not a fan of Krulikowski. Many think she is really nice but I just don't see it. Her class is based on eight primary source documents and three tests. A lot of writing
Professor K was always kind to the class. She expects you to have all the reading done, and her tests are all based off the readings. She also encourages class discussions and they can be very interesting.
Professor K was always kind to the class. She expects you to have all the reading done, and her tests are all based off the readings. She also encourages class discussions and they can be very interesting. Don't skip class, she sends around an attendance sheet.
She is super easy and pretty much sets up the class for you to get an A. Theres a vocab quiz once a week and 7 primary source analysis papers due by the end of the semester. Quizzes are easy and there aren't any tests. Even if you do bad in the class (which is pretty hard to do) Krulikowski works with you to get a higher grade.
This class was super easy to do well in. All we had to do was chapter readings for every class plus we could skip some if we wanted to. There were no quizzes or tests. The biggest assignment was the historical site paper which wasn't too bad. Sometimes the class is boring especially if you skip the reading. Also, you get participation points so try
Prof. Krulikowski's HIS 150 class is very lecture heavy and there is homework that is due every class. It is set up so you have freedom to choose when you would like to turn in homework, as long as at the end of the semester you have completed a certain amount. There are also NO TESTS! If you do the homework well and show up, you will get an A.
Professor Krulikowski is not a bad professor, but she can be very rude and condescending. She will randomly snap at you. Also, she does not use D2L so it's very hard to keep track of your grades. You have to do many papers and she gives little instruction. Her lectures are not important.
the class is very lecture heavy and you have to read one or two chapters for each class and complete chapter questions- which is set up so you can skip up to five. The class is boring but is an easy A.
Anne focuses more on trying to make you learn about American History and take something away from the class rather than shelling out test after test and making you stressed out. You need the book but its a good class for an elective and you can actually get something out of it.
Her teaching method is discussion heavy. She wants students to talk about what they learned from the readings rather than have her stand in front of the class and lecture. There were some lectures, but most classes were open discussion. Lots of papers, at least one every other week. Her teaching style is not for everyone, but she's good at it.
No tests or quizzes, grades are based on chapter questions (15 a semester, 2 questions, paragraph each question), Primary source analysis' (8 a semester, 2 pages each), Speech research paper (5 page paper, 3-5 minute in class presentation), and final speech paper (5-7 pages). Easy A just do the work!!
Dr. Krulikowski is amazing! She doesn't give tests or quizzes in this class but there is homework due every class. You either have questions from the textbook that you need to answer or analyze a primary source. It can be a lot of work but it is manageable. The final is an essay which is really nice too
If you're looking for an easy GenEd, don't take her. Dr. K honestly frustrated me so much during this semester. There are so many primary source papers you need to do, and chapter questions that are ok. However, her class structure makes you feel like you've barely learned a thing. This class is dreadfully boring, so avoid her at all costs.
If you aren't good at tests/quizzes this would be the class for you, she grades based on effort. Shes incredibly understanding and kind as well. As long as you get the homework assignments/primary sources done, you'll get a good grade. And, homework assignments took me about 15 min, while not as frequent primary sources took me around 30.
she can get an attitude with you, tell you one thing and do another, and her lectures are the most boring thing I have ever had to sit through. If you need her for an "I" course I recommend you do it with someone else. The doing a paper a week can get confusing if you have classes that do the same like my semester this year and can be behind w/her
She is a tough grader where-as your paper has to be exactly what she wants to receive an A. You have to write discussion papers weekly for the class along with 3 larger projects. The class is discussion-based if you don't talk she will give you an F for participation. Overall, the class is just constant writing and tough grading. No grades on d2l.
All around a terrible experience, she grades essays harder than any english teacher I've ever had. She literally says that hardly anybody gets an A, she will not give you an A unless you go to her office hours. thats how she determines who cares, she gets moody with students and also seems to not plan anything. every class was an aimless discussion
Krulikowski is a great professor. The work load is very doable and she will always offer advice when needed. She wants to see you make an effort, it is part of the grade. If you show up and make it known you care about the class you will get an easy A. She is extremely knowledgeable and interesting to listen to during lectures.
Dr Krulikowski was not my cup of tea as a professor. Its all writing based and the lectures are broad and dont have much of a direction so its on you to pick things up wherever you can. The thing with the writing is it feels more like an English class than history. She can be quite passive aggressive, a bit out of touch, Participation matters!!!
If you're looking to take this class as a gen ed to get it out of the way I recommend not taking it with Dr. K. she is one of the worst professors I have ever had. she is not accommodating what so ever, and will randomly snap on you. she speaks to you in a condescending tone if you don't do exactly what she wants. her class is based off of papers.
Dr. K gets such a bad rep, and she's actually really easy if you read what she asks and try your best. Seriously, just do the readings and show up! Her class is based on papers, and if you're a history major, you should know how to write. If you are a diligent student, she'll love you! I've had her for 152 and upper levels, and the work is the same
Why attendance and participation mattered is beyond me. All lectures are basically recaps of whatever homework/readings you did the night prior to class, with maybe a few extra details noted by Anne. HW isn't too hard, but unless you explain every word you write, you won't get a high grade. Overall, not hard, but likely a huge waste of time.
Dr. K and I were off to a rough start. I didn't think she liked me all that much but it was because I didn't participate. If you engage in the class and do the work you will pass. Overall she is a sweet woman and is very cooperative if you show effort. Definitely would take her class again.
Amazing Professor. Super helpful with anything and everything. So kind and easy to talk to about anything. Any questions you have she makes it so easy to ask.
She is a nice lady however, she is not very helpful. It is an online course so shouldnt she be expected to answer her emails? Be expected to read at least 3 chapters each night and write a 2-3 page paper after every class. I do not recommend.
Worst professor I have ever had ever. She does not care about her students at all. Grades on participation even though she doesn't know majority of the classes names. Do not take her for a gen ed; I wish I read these comments on her before I continued with her course. She made me first semester at west chester (transferred) the worst ever.
Dr. K is available and helpful for students who want to learn and do well in the class. Do not come to class, sit on your cell phone, and not participate. Engage in the conversation and show you care and you will do well. There are no tests, it is a writing based course. If she asked for 5-7 sentences, write a few more sentences and clearly explain
6 paragraph responses, 6 one page essays, and a final 3-4 page capstone essay. If you don't like writing, don't take this class with her. There are no tests, but there is mandatory attendance. I think this class did improve my writing skills though. Lectures were kinda meh, if online, not too bad, in person it is a lot of powerpoint usage.
you will never not be doing work. more of a writing class than a history class. accepts ZERO late work, even if it's a few minutes late. also does not believe that mental illnesses are a "valid excuse" for needing help. also doesn't really teach during class, just talks randomly. participation in discussions also required or you'll fail.
Krulikowski is not a history professor you should be looking forward to have. She presses the idea that her view on history is right and all others are flawed. Do not expect any simpathy if you are struggling as she doesnt offer help and will deduct a full letter grade if an assignment is late. For your well being, avoid her classes altogether.
Really patronizing in office hours and will not offer any accommodations without very specific documentation from a doctor. Does not incorporate diverse perspectives AT ALL and is straight up misrepresents black and indigenous view points when they come up.
Honestly just a terrible teacher if you do not write an entire 5 page response for each homework good luck getting a good grade, also have fun sitting in her class which for me was an hour and 15 but her speaking made it feel like it toke up half my day, the way she "provides help" is just hilarious too she says just read the syllabus.
I thought she was rude, had way too many assignments, and was not too friendly so if you are emotional and could have a breakdown do not recommend
terrible teacher not realy sure how she still has a job,she will take couple days to respond to your emails and when she does she will mock you in a passive aggressive way, she provides no help what so ever on assignments and the way she sets her class up is brain numbing, it is a history class not a writing or speaking but she doesn't get that
Terrible. Horrible. Needs to be fired from the university for the way she treats the students. I'm not sure if it is the dementia or what but she is on a power trip. Also the most boring class you could take. Her hair reminds me of an old rotted broom. If she was my daughter and I could see her future I would have aborted her.
Professor K is not an easy professor but that doesnt mean shes not a good one. She grades hard but if you take the feedback she gives you seriously she notices that and will credit you for it. The assignments are easy and straightforward. You have to be willing to put in the work but if you do, you will pass. She def improved my writing skills.
This person below clearly is in a mentally slow class or is the actual teacher herself, one of the most passive aggressive teachers you will ever has. She thinks it is a writing and speaking class when it is a history class, most annoying grader you will ever have also not sure if she has ever handed out something with higher than a B grade.
I don't really rate professors often but krulikowski was actually so awful that I felt the need to come on here and warn others about her. She is the most passive aggressive and judgmental professor I've ever had. She is just really miserable all of the time and is not nice. Just avoid this class at all costs... lol
most passive aggressive creature you will ever encounter. STAY AWAY. Her parents should have aborted her.
Dr. K is an extremely tough professor. She is very passive aggressive and judgemental. She never puts in grades. Try to avoid her if you are not a history major. I will never be taking her class again.
History majors: don't let these negative reviews scare you off of Dr. Krulikowski. She's a perfectly fine professor to have. I took her material culture class in Fall '22, and I liked it a lot! Get ready for a lot of out-of-class reading and writing, but in all having her as a professor isn't the death sentence some of these other reviews say it is
never puts in grades, barely uses D2L so you never know when things are due. She thinks its a writing class and assigns multiple essays. Talks pretty much the whole class. If your not a history major don't take her classes.
Very very writing heavy, there are no tests or quizzes and all assignments are two-three page papers. She's a very tough grader because of this. Attendance is required and that was good because her lectures were sometimes interesting and helpful for the writing assignments. The class isn't hard but the papers make your whole grade ...
She's extremely passive aggressive in person and with every assignment you will every turn in when she writes "feedback". She is discouraging. Get ready to sit there for almost two hours of her just standing there talking and talking. Has no teaching ethic. I tried so hard in this class to still have my effort mean nothing. Don't take this class.
if you are from area of West Chester/Delaware Vallet this class is really cool. You do learn a lot of history and stuff through going outside and she does have some unique lectures. But omg so many papers. She has you write these things called digging deeper where they are 2 page reactions. If you can write 2 pages a week this class is a breeze.
Ten quizzes, five two-page analytical summaries, three two-page field observations, and a three-page final paper about a museum or something that you went to. Her classes should be classified as writing emphasis classes. Be prepared to write a lot. She likes physical learning by getting you to go places like museums and walks/tours.
Dr. K wasn't too bad. Her class is very lecture heavy and I could barely pay attention in her class. She takes attendance every class. She grades papers hard so follow the directions exactly. Otherwise she's not that bad.
Dr. Krulikowski is one of the most passive aggressive humans I have ever met. She is not interested in what you think, only that you parrot back what she thinks. She demeans other professors in her classes when she disagrees with them. She is more interested in reminding you that she knows more than you do than helping you learn.
Very condescending when it comes to feedback, and very unhelpful. Went to office hours after missing a significant amount of class, and she refused to answer any questions because it didnt "seem like I read all the rubrics/syllabus". She had 7 uploaded. Doesnt always answer emails. Didnt count half my attendance for "being on my computer". NASTY!
Absolutely terrible professor. Her lectures are filled with information that fit more in a "fun facts" list than a real college course. She also gets very angry when people aren't always engaging with her lectures and rhetorical questions. Extremely difficult to talk to and very judgmental, she called the class "braindead" multiple times.
im not too sure why she teaches considering she hates her students 90% of the time. she would mark down the girl students who went to the bathroom but not the guys. her grading style is insanely hard which not too sure why for a gen ed course. avoid her unless ur a teachers pet then she'll be obsessed with you. very passive aggressive.
this professor literally made me cry. i wish i was joking. she gave me good grades all the time bc i did good work but overall she's not a nice or caring person. she could care less if u do the work or not she won't hunt u down if u don't complete it. had to go to the chair department to complain about her. don't recommend
She is an interesting teacher. She knows a lot, but doesn't properly convey this information. She goes on lots of tangents, like how she likes paper. She is a tough grader, and you do have to write how she likes. She is a little blunt with her grading, you just have to not take it personally.
Professor K can be tough, but following her feedback closely and using resources like unstuck ai helped me improve my writing and pass the class. Attendance is mandatory, so be prepared for lots of lectures, but they're often interesting.
Honestly seemed like she knew what she was talking about and likes to teach it. Probably my hardest first semester class, but as long as you pay attention and do a little reading it really isn't too hard. Don't listen to the students trying to claim her as a bad professor because her class is a little challenging. People hate just to hate.
I've never had a professor make me cry in class before, but Dr. K did. All I'm gonna say is avoid taking her class at all costs. I'm serious it was such a waste of time and she should not be allowed to be a professor. She is very miserable, idk why she hasn't retired yet she's like 80. Everyone who rated her above a 1 is a try hard LOL bc be so fr.
A lot of people hate this professor, but I think she's just misunderstood. Her classes are very boring and you have to read and write a lot, but if you keep up with the work and show her that you learned something she'll be happy. She's nice and very passionate about history. This class isn't bad, you just have to do your work and be nice to her
Dr K definitely knows what she's talking about that's not the issue. She is so unbelievably inconsiderate of her students. She doesn't use the D2L gradebook- you must calculate your grade yourself. No professor has made me cry before except this woman. All you do is read and write and sit there nothing else.
Worst professor I've ever had. She assigned a mass amount of work. Attendance and participation was necessary. I somehow ended in a D even though I missed one assignment, attended every class and participated regularly. I'm still mad I worked so hard in this class and it completely tanked my GPA, it is the only course I have not gotten an A in.
Dr. K was a pretty good professor. For her online class, she was good about giving clear feedback on why you may have lost points. As long as you do the readings for the assignments, you'll be fine. You can tell she cares about the class and just wants students to do the work to earn the grade they deserve.
Dr. K is a very good professor. She lectures a lot, but it is very valuable information. Only a few assignments and attendance is mandatory, but if you read and put effort in, you will succeed and she will respect you. One of the better professors here at WCU and I'm a third year student. highly recommended.
Professor K is a decently nice lady. She has her moments of kindness but she can be really rude at times. This class is graded mostly on if you talk in class so if you don't like public speaking don't take it. She is a tough grader and will probably not give you higher than a C for major projects. Just steer away from this class, wish I dropped it.
