She is new and getting used to teaching. Class was well taught for an introductory course. The tests were harder than expected when comparing the material to her lectures. Very knowledgeable of the subject matter. Grades: a few tests, one paper, and class project. Enjoyable class--will take her again.

Very detailed. Exams consist of multiple choice for the first half then short answers for the second part. Study the powerpoints, read the case studies at the beginning of the chapters (although not tested heavily on case studies), and take notes during her class. She'll sometimes mention stuff "you should know for the exam."

I would not recommend this class to a freshman. Zimeri, whom is also the advisor for ehsc majors, will recommend freshmen to take this class. DONT DO IT. The content of the class is fairly simple but her tests are extremely hard. She will mention things once in the class and put them on the test. Memorize the powerpoints.

I like Dr. Zimeri's teaching style, but it can be a little disjoint at times. Her tests are not impossible, but they contain a number of questions that may not necessarily be on the slides but one something she said once in class. Write everything she says down. This class is a little hard for an intro class, so only take it if you have to.

Extremely hard tests and they make up the majority of your grade. Luckily, there are grade boosters from small projects, but overall, very hard class because of exams. The professor herself is sweet though.

Dr. Zimeri was an extremely tough professor with no sympathy. You teach yourself everything and the quizzes are pure luck, since all of the questions are pulled from a pool of questions. Assignments aren't that bad. You can use notes, but very easy to fail while doing so. She seems to test on random facts instead of testing on applying the info.

This was by far the absolute worst professor I have ever had in my college career so far (and probably ever will have). If this class isnt mandatory for you do not take it!!! She lacks any sympathy or compassion for her students and really just acts like she doesnt care. Most poorly structured class I have ever taken. Just dont do it

I took Dr. Zimeri for both EHSC 3060 and EHSC 4150 and ended up with B's in both classes. I tried extremely hard in this class and challenged myself to receive an A. This course has a similar level of difficulty for tests but is a lot more writing-intensive. If you pace yourself with the material and put in 100%, you will succeed.

This was the most demanding class I have ever taken. If you do every single assignment (pouring hours into papers, group projects, and exams) maybe you will get an A. The take home portion of exams requires reviewing 3-5 articles with 2000 word responses for each one. And that is for every test. Brutal. You get to learn about dog toilets though.

As I go into my 4th year, this was honestly one of the worst classes I have taken. Dr. Zimeri is often rude & doesn't help students as I feel a professor should. She pulls quiz/exam questions from super-specific, tiny details from lectures and readings. Plus, there are assignments that can only hurt your grade. She gave a curve at the end tho

I have never written about a teacher but I had to about this one. One of the WORST teachers I have ever had and this is from someone who left the class with an A. She does not respond to emails and gave other students points for mistakes she made on quizzes while not fixing others. Please for your mental health don't take her if you don't need to.

I can confidently say she is the worst instructor I've ever had. Dr. Zimeri is everything a teacher shouldn't be: lazy, hard to communicate with, lacks compassion for students, and overall puts in minimal effort to teach this class. Quiz/exam questions are super-specific "needle in a haystack" type facts, and not at all conceptually based. Avoid!

All the bad reviews are true. Problem is I don't think you can avoid taking her. I think she may have been having a rough semester; she seemed pretty nice the last time I saw her near the end of the semester. To put it into perspective we (41 stu.) went to the head of the EHSC department to complain about her and the department head was mad at her.

I have never felt the need to leave a review on a professor, but since she is the only professor for this course which I am required to take it for my major I am. I found the topic of this course interesting and was excited for it, however she makes the tests ridiculously difficult and asks highly specific questions. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I don't usually rate professors, but so many people complained about Zimeri so I felt inclined. She is an extremely busy professor. She wears a lot of hats, so she can be hard to reach. She wants people to do well though and will always answer questions. Her tests are specific and she makes you work for it but if you listen to her you'll be fine.

I slaved away, studied hard, and spent many hours out of my day working on this material and I still didn't do well. The tests were so hard and the class averages were around 70% which is never a good sign. The quizzes were also hard.

She really isn't a bad professor. The issue is with her tests and quizzes. The quizzes are only 10 questions and she asks some questions that are highly specific/were not really taught. Same goes with exams. Very hard to make an A in the class but if you just want a B then you're fine. Make sure you go through notes and readings diligently.

This class is rigged against you, unfortunately. Going to class, reading the ppts, and understanding the material are NOT enough. You must go into the brain of the professor to get even a B. You take one step forward in the class, but it's FIVE steps backward. It's very unreasonable for an introduction class, in my opinion - Good luck.

Dr. Zimeri teaches pretty well and I understood the concepts that she taught. However, her quizzes and tests do not accurately represent the lectures, powerpoints, or readings that she gave. Dr. Zimeri's class is interesting, but there are often test questions that were never mentioned in class. Even if you know everything she talked about in class, you will find questions on the exam from left field. This class is a little easier than the intro class so if you did okay in 3060, this shouldn't be any worse.

Dr. Z is a great lecturer and very nice, but that's about it. For an intro class, the quizzes and tests are incredibly difficult, and will ask very specific questions that were never/barely mentioned in lecture. The assignments are very easy and can boost your grade, but beware of the very specific reading questions on tests.

Dr. Zimeri is a nice lady. But her lectures do not help with the quizzes at all. Like there is no point going to her lectures because you would sit through her lectures feeling as though you got a handle of the material, and then you take the quiz and feel so defeated. The questions on the quiz are so specific and unimportant :(

the quizzes and tests in this class are designed for you to fail. Questions about one random specific line from the hours of recorded lectures you have to watch leave you feeling defeated and stupid. I can't speak for the other sections of her class, but her online section was ok. Don't get me wrong though. You're reading the textbook and watching every lecture.
