Ms.Redding is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If we had more teachers like her, we would enjoy going to school every day. Her classes are funny, exciting, and you do learn everything she teaches. I give her two thumbs up.

Not a hard class if you pay attention and copy down the powerpoint notes she provides. If you do, there's no reason to even buy the book. No surprises on the tests, she gives out a review sheet with all the test material on it. Final is not cumilative. Overall a nice and intelligent woman, she makes attending class enjoyable.

Overqualified. Not only does Professor Redding define the art of pedagogy, shes got some humor. She has that modern teaching style we all like. Her well made powerpoint slides, and test review hand outs lead to the comfort of no surprises in a class. At 20$ per unit, she is a bargain and a half.

I really like this professor. She tells a lot of jokes and goes off topic sometimes but it made class fun. She rarely assigns homework but the tests are pretty hard. The research paper was a big part of your grade and i didn't think she really prepared us for it that well but besides that, she's a great teacher and the class was very interesting.

I took this class online, it was a bit more challenging than the class I've taken with her in a classroom. If you take her online classes DO ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS. Don't miss anything, she gives no credit for late work, period. Great extra credit opportunities. Study for tests, reading text is definitely imperative to getting an A in this class.

I've had Anne for several AJ classes both in class and online. Her online courses are difficult but doable. Anyone can get an A in her classes. Show up to class and take notes,her power points are fool proof! She has a dry sense of humor but a total blast if you are interested in this field. EXCELLENT TEACHER!

Take LOTS of notes. A lot of the test questions are on pretty specific stuff, so make sure to review the DETAILED notes you took REGULARLY. The textbook is nice, but she goes over everything you need in class, so it's kinda unnecessary. She's super fun!

Theres a lot of reading in a book called Helter Skelter so be prepared for that. 4 Festivals of Knowledge(exam), a few homeworks and two papers at the end of the semester which almost killed me but she makes up for it with her lectures! I will miss her.

I love Professor Redding, I've had her for a couple years now and i've always been in her favorite class haha. I've never had a teacher so engaging with students, she really loves what she does and it's so refreshing. DONT TAKE HER CLASS IF YOURE SQUEAMISH. murder aint pretty.

Anne Redding is without a doubt one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so helpful and gives amazing feedback and does everything in her power to help you. Definitely recommend this class!

A lot of reading but she gives a schedule. Stick to it, you'll be fine. No textbook so the reading makes up for it. I learned a lot of stuff I haven't gotten anywhere else. Great class!

She does a great job of explaining the topic and I always leave class with a smile on my face and something new in my brain. She is very knowledgeable about the subject she teaches and always has an answer to your questions. She makes it very clear from the beginning what you need to do and it is easy to do so if you try and you follow instruction

Prof. Redding is the best professor I have had at SBCC or anywhere for that matter. She's funny, she really cares about her students and her Murder class is so much fun! Black Dahlia lecture awesome!!!! All the assignments are super interesting and Helter Skelter is the text. It's creepy so don't read it at night.

Professor Redding is genuinely one of the best professors I've ever had. She truly enjoys teaching students about criminology and she makes it fun. Her class is a mixture of pop quizzes, tests, few assignments, and she also offers a lot of extra credit. There's no textbook, it's all notes, but you are required to read Helter Skelter.

Professor Redding was one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. Her class is amazing and she is just a great person overall, not to mention hilarious. She wants everyone to succeed and loves her students. Definitely recommend taking one of her classes!

I struggled in this class on my own terms. I thoroughly enjoyed this class even though Im about to fail. This has nothing to do with credit or passing though. She was an awesome teacher, a kind person and has helped a lot. I struggled with attendance because of my medication. If you read this Prof, I appreciate the help, go Patriots :)

Redding is the best! But, there was a lot of papers. The biggest assignment is the murder book which is about Helter Skelter. Some tips: Start EARLY and gather ALL EVIDENCE with page numbers AS YOU READ (this is most important). Give yourself at least four days to write it. I didn't procrastinate on it but still stayed up until 4am finishing it.

Professor Redding is so amazing, she is pretty funny. She is just so fun, I loved this class. My class was the first class she taught without a book and I think she did an amazing job, but we had to make sure we wrote down what she told us &amp; to try not to miss class because she did not post the full presentations, she would post an outline of it

Anne Redding is a very fun teacher. Although I was in her first class without a textbook, it went very well. Pop quizzes are very helpful study tools in this class so don't get rid of them. I totally recommend you take her!

Anne Redding is an incredible teacher, this is my third class with her and I can't even emphasize enough how amazing she is. She cares about all of her students and she makes you want to go to class. Her powerpoints worked as a textbook and you will have several open book pop quizzes that were very useful for the exams. TAKE HER CLASS!!

She is one of the sweetest teachers Ive ever had at SBCC. She truly cares about you doing well and goes out of her way to make sure you feel supported. You learn so much from her assignments! Although this semester went online because of COVID, she was such a strong supporter. I would recommend taking her, she knows what shes doing 110%!!! DO IT!

came into the class not knowing anything about her, I had a friend say she was a hard grader, she was, but the whole overall was without a doubt the best class I have ever taken, I enjoyed every class meeting, it was all super interesting and she is always willing to help you, clear up anything! Aj:250 Study of Murder is a great class to take!

Redding is amazing. She is so incredibly passionate about what she teaches and she really interacts with her students, I have never met a person who had anything negative to say about her and it shows because she won faculty of the year award. You won't regret taking a class with her

Professor Redding was amazing! I had her for Spring 2020 and she made everything so easy. SHe transferred everything from in-class to online with no problem. It was extremely easy to stay on track. Did I mention she's absolutely a goofball? You will not regret taking her class!

Great Professor! I took this class online and it was very straight forward. Each week was a new chapter and there would be a two part discussion and a quiz. She provided a video lecture for each chapter and a helpful note taking guide. She was helpful through email and very kind. I would definitely recommend her.

The assignments are the same every week. One discussion post, a ten point quiz, and a review of classmates discussion post. She wants you to succeed and understands that life happens. No textbook which is nice.

First year at Santa Barbara City College and Professor Redding was amazing! Her lectures go in depth with all of the topics. If you do the work needed for this class you will get an easy A!

One of the kindest and most understanding professors I have ever had. I was having a very rough time personally, and professor Redding reached out to me and helped me succeed. Also, she starts her classes by playing cool music videos and always has a smile on her face !!

Lectures were always interesting, she appreciates participation and puts in effort to keep students engaged and make class fun. One big paper at the end, tests were online, and she offers some extra credit. If you learn and understand theories of crime early on, the class and paper is easy.

I love her so much I just feel comforted having her because she is so understanding and caring and accessible outside of class. this class is so interesting and the work is very doable 1 discussion per week and 1 reply 300 words each, and one easy 10 question quiz. I rly loved the way she lectured it kept me interested. she's the best, take her!!!!

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR , she truly is just so inspiring with her lectures and how interactive she makes her lectures makes the class twice as entertaining.i have never been so exited to come and actually learn from a professor .she is such a kind soul and really loved taking both her aj250 class and 107.if i could id do it again 10/10

Professor Redding is one of the best professors I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She delivers her lectures with humor and enthusiasm. She really loves what she does and you can tell. She is caring and will be there for you in any way she can. I can't say enough about how awesome she is. She is a great inspiration as a person and academic.

If you are looking for an easy A I would not recommend this class. However, the material is really interesting and makes the assignments fun to complete. There is one discussion post and peer review (each 300 words) plus a quiz due weekly. It doesn't sound like much but she can be a very strict grader so make sure you hit all the marks. Good luck!!

I wish Professor Redding taught more classes because I would take them in a heart beat. Im taking her other course just because I love her so much. She is the best professor I have ever had and if you have the chance to take one of her classes, do it! She cares so much about us and is an inspiration to me. Such an interesting class too!

Best class ever

Professor Redding is the best professor I have ever had. She engages with students every day and really cares about you. I recommend the Study of Murder to any student, whether they are a criminology major or not. She has incredibly in-depth lectures and is considerate of schedules. The final paper is hard but that's the only tough part!

Hands down best prof I've ever had. Funny, caring, great content, encourages questions, always makes time for her students. The class is amazing, so much fun, extremely informative. Class is mostly lectures, some group activities, but always engaging. Amazing class to take, even if you're not a CJ major!!

The only reason why you would not get a good grade in this class is if you don't know how to use MLA citing. The weekly structure was straightforward and the assignments reflected the lectures. Redding really cares about her students/subject, and the assignments include a quiz and weekly discussion post, but you get the hang of it really quickly!

I recommend taking any ADMJ courses with Redding. The only reason why I recieve the grade I did was because of the MLA citing. This course has weekly discussions, quizzes, and an essay MLA format final also an additional 20/25 extra credit points. Overall this is a very easy course and would definitely take another class with professor Redding!

I took her class online but she invited me to her in person class. Both her online and in person classes are great. She gives great feedback, her lectures are very interesting, and is organized. In all, her class will make you a more efficient note taker, improve your citation skills, and become an actively listener. Fill and download all papers.

AJ107 was a tough class, but I absolutely loved it. If you put genuine effort and time into her class, you will receive a good grade. I recommend going to Professor Redding's office hours and simply asking for her help if you are struggling. She is very genuine, funny, and caring. Overall, it was a great class and an amazing professor.

Professor Redding is a captivating lecturer. While the focus on MLA citation can be intense, the material is genuinely interesting. Unstuck AI was a game-changer for my study prep.

REDDING, not in a creepy way tho... her lectures were interesting and amazing. she is funny and very caring, she cares about her students are doing in class, and helps in every way she can. she doesn't provide the in class lecture notes/ slides so try not to miss her classes. overall I really recommend taking this class!!

Well, she should be retired by the time I'm finally writing this, but Ms. Redding was a great professor. Really informative class, interesting discussions, and you could really see how passionate she was about everything. I hope she's finding all those bodies in the desert she was talking about. If it was possible to take a class with her, I would.
