She's very helpful. Need the book for hw problems. You REALLY have to study for the tests to get a good grade. But she curves the class so you can end up with a B easy. Project is kinda hard unless you have someone in your group that is a pro with Access.

Assignments are hard if you miss class. She will help if you ask. Not an easy class.

Yeah, this class is hard, but not impossible. First, of all she is the nicest lady you will ever meet, but the material is complex. She is very understanding, and does not want students to do bad. You MUST read and study A LOT! The tests are a killer. Stick to the study guides and know the info.

Indeed this class is not a no brainer, but if you study hard and go to her office hours, you'll be aight! She is the hardest IDS teachers.. But the class is still easy.. If you know things about comps. then you should do good..The assignments are ridiculous, but i guess that's part of learning... Don't really need to go to class, but it is helpful..

Always go day after test for makeup points-she'll give a quiz, tests are detail oriented, do the entire study guide, make sure you REALLY know excel & access (these questions are most difficult on test), the homework...one word...ridiculous! takes forever..average 6-8 or more hours if you're lucky!

Nice teacher..very excited. If you know it already then it will be an easy A. She gives Extra credit because shes nice. If you want 10 points of extra credit go up infront of 500 kids and give a speech. (I did) But this class can be hard if you dont retain this info (so find a friend that can help)

Great teacher. She is very clear on what she wants and the assignments are pretty easy. If you get stuck on the assignment all you have to do is e-mail her and she will get back to you. Or you can go see her in her office. Tests are a bit tricky. Overall great class.

Assignments arent that bad since you have lots of opportunities to get help. Tests however are difficult in that over a quarter of the questions are things you'd find in the small, fine print on the bottom of some random box in the textbook.

She is def one of the hardest teachers I have ever had, and one of the most anal, but she is very helpful with any questions, she just needs to relax about the assignments. Def study the online quizzes for the tests!

She's very nice. You have to buy the books and software (2 GB on your computer) for this class. They're expensive but helpful for the abundant assignments. Mainly study the book and do the practice quizzes at the end of the chapters to do well. Drops 1 test (including final). She also gives extra points and credit for people who put forth effort.

Hard class but teacher is nice. Do ALL homework, go to ALL classes and you will get a C. Go to office hours for help. Study harder for the test and you can get a B.

She seems nice. Class was not that hard- it was actually easy for me since I took one computer class before. Lots of small assignments which may take time to complete, but this is how you learn. Some stuff were actually interesting and useful to know...I recommend taking her

good prof who demands alot from her students. will learn alot, but need to put in alot of effort. dont' miss class or you lose easy assignment points, read the book, go to office hours for help.

Take in summer if u can. Not bad if you study and do homework. Final is optional if you're satisfied with your grade.

Hard to keep awake in class-all power point. You should get 90-100%of hw pts. Go to class for ext. credit and in class easy pts. 4 tests all mc, drops the lowest. The book doesn't help for hw, but she is very approachable and helpful during office hours-take advantage.

She's nice but hard. The tests are hard. You have to do the assignments or you're screwed. If you go to her office hours, she'll basically give you the answers to the assignments.

if you know excel and have common knowledge about computers and the internet, this class is cake. She basically explains the projects in class, and also gives extra credit after every test and at the end of the year. final is optional, which is nice. interesting class and an easy A if you attend.

Incredibly understanding teacher. She has an excellent heart and understands that sometimes life happens. She is a genuinly caring person, and truly wishes the best for all of her students. She is not a push over, and her assignements and tests require serious studying, but overall she as an excellent teacher and person.

Ok, the deal with this class is that the course itself sucks but out of all the teachers you can have, Dr. Easton is the best! The class is hard and you have to study very hard for the assignments and tests, but she's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. If you have to take it, get her!

She is a pretty good teacher. There is a lot of assignments but she is available for help. It is important to show up to class becasue there alot of five point in class assignments that do add up! also she gives out random extra credit and you drop a test! So as long as you study you will definetly pass.

this class SUCKS but if you have to take it definitely take it with easton. she gives out a lot of easy inclass assignment points so attend all classes and never miss a homework assignment. The homework makes a huge difference in your grade if you bomb all the tests. This class takes so much effort so prepare yourselves!

The way to do well in this class is to study the power point slides she desplays in class but it's too much info to cram. Also go to her office hours to get help on excel, access, & html assignments or else you need to have someone do them for you. I got a B in the class with a lot of work. Ave on tests is C- with no curve porvided in the class.

She is willing to help if you try. Use office hours for help. She is very friendly. Print Powerpoints before going to class and read the chapters. You can't cram at the end.

Its a very straightforward class- do the assignments and study for exams! its not an easy class but i think she did a good making the material as clear as possible. I dont understand what all the poor comments on here are about. She is a good teacher that happens to have a not thrilling subject. The class was fair but definitely required some studying. This is a hard class but it's not impossible like most people say... As long as you keep up, read the book, do the assignments and study you should be fine. She drops one of 4 tests (one can be the final). Boring lectures, she just outlines the book so just read...It's hard but if you study a lot you'll be fine.

I don't understand her bad rep. She is a good teacher and very fair. Subject and lectures can be boring. But go to class, pay attention, do your hw and study and you will do fine. She was a very good teacher. We learn Excel, Access, and HTML- very useful to know. You must go to class to get a better understanding AND because she does random in class lil assignments to make sure you're there. Definitely take her, very good teacher.

Most boring class ever and pretty hard. She is a good professor but the subject sucks. Take advantage of her office hours for assignments because she is very helpful. Attendance is not mandatory...just study the book and print the notes off blackboard.

If you don't have to take IDS DON'T! However, A Easton is a great teacher if you must. A lot of work and somewhat difficult exams, but she's always there to help. A lot of homework, but if you do it all and do well on it, it makes the class a lot easier. Stay on top of the work.

Shes a nice lady and an ok teacher. The subject however is incredibly difficult. Very confusing and assignments take forever. If you have to take it though ive heard that shes better than the other teachers.

One of the most difficult classes I've taken, but she is approachable and helpful. It's a hard subject especially for those who don't have a lot of computer skills, like me, but I managed to pass with a B. You really have to put a lot of your time & effort in this class and work your butt off for a passing grade.

A very time consuming class. Manage your time wisely because the assignments take hours, especially if you're not familiar with the programs. Exams are fair but can be tricky. As a person Easton is really, really kind and a very fair grader but the subject and class stink to high heaven. Manage your time. That's my best advice.

Easton was very helpful, I would suggest using her office hours as much as you can. Classes are so boring and hard to stay awake in, but helpful to go to. She randomly gives in class assignments that are easy points if your there. She does not allow lap tops in her class at all. Hard class, super nice teacher!

Class is pretty easy. Have to go to class to get in class assignment points. posts powerpoints on blackboard, 5 exams including final, get to drop one including final. there is a make up assignment at the end to gain a max of 12 points for missed assignments. 13 homework assignments do all of em. She really helps if you go to office hours.

She is a good professor. If you are a hard worker, you can get an A. There are 11 assignments in this class and can take your time so start early. Overall, I liked the class. She is extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter.

Extremly clear w/ all assignments and lectures. May feel like there's a lot of material to cover, but it is not that difficult.

I ended up with a B. Class isnt mandatory, but she does give easy in class assignments that greatly help your grade. She drops your lowest test score, including the final. I went to almost every class and did all the assignments. I averaged a 75% on tests and didn't take the final. I went to her office hours once and she is VERY helpful.

So everyone told me how hard this class would be. Homework was very easy, as was in class assignments. Tests were pretty difficult, but if you see her before the test it helps ALOT! Good looking girls in the class, teacher was hot too. Got a B, but if I actually studied it would've been an A.

If you absolutely have to take IDS 180, then take her. She tries really hard to help you pass. The material puts everyone to sleep but that's not her fault. The assignments are easy if you follow the book. The exams are not too hard but are not easy. Don't take IDS if it's not required.

Take her rather than her husband. She clearly explains everything. The subject is pretty hard but she makes it easier. Follow the study guides! 5 tests but she drops the lowest. Also gives EC at the end of the year to make up points missed on the assignments. Not too bad on the eyes either...

If you are looking for a good teacher, you will find that with Dr. Easton. She's helpful and she will save your butt with extra credit at the end of the semester. However, the class is REALLY hard. Get a stress ball and squeeze it whenever you're learning the formulas.

Every class will be a power-point presentation and she always posts them online afterwards. Class isn't really mandatory, but it is really helpful if you have a friend to work with on the homework, because they get really time consuming and difficult. You have to study outside the study guide too if you want an A or a B. You REALLY need the book.

Professor Easton is not to blame for the difficulty of the class. She is very helpful, very responsive to emails, and very clear. The material itself is inherently boring, but if you just power through it and do the readings you should be ok. Do the readings before going to class, occasional in class assignments! Extra credit and one dropped test.

Looking back, I hated this class but Easton isn't to blame. She does her best to explain a challenging subject and is very fair when it comes to grading. Give yourself plenty of time to do the homework and study for exams and you'll be fine. Hot? Yeah, she's pretty attractive :)

That's not her to blame the low grade. She is helpful in office hour, help you with the assignment, clear about the work and teaches very well. This course is not easy for someone who just starts to learn about computer related staff.

Easton is an excellent teacher. She is very available to the students. She is very concise as to what is expected of you. Lectures are from slides and somewhat boring. There are 3 exams and she provides a study guide for all of them. There is also a class project that will give you good experience working with other classmates designing a system.

Doctor is probably the best teacher I have ever met. She is so approchable, at first, this class seems boring to me, because I come from foriegn country and many words seem unfamiliar, but it is her that let me get more intereested in this class, she is very helpful, she can expalin every concept clearly. I wish she can teach me all the calsses.

Exceptional professor. You can tell she is passionate about the class and she is a talented speaker which almost makes you forget about the plastic theater seats. She is very clear and outlines exactly what will be on each test. If you read the chapters before the tests and do the homework, then you will get an A.

Dr. Easton's class is not very exciting, but she makes it as relevant and clear as possible. She makes sure most of the class understands. The tests are based on class lectures, online powerpoints, the e-book, and any assignments. If you study and pay attention, an A or B are definitely doable. You have to attend class to get participation points.

Taking her now...she's a nice lady but do NOT miss class ever. You will fall behind and she is unsympathetic about it. Read the textbook and take notes from PP. Exams are all written (difficult). Group work halfway into the semester.

AT the beginning of the semster, I thought this class was hard and all, but actually studying her powerpoints and doing assignments makes this class very easy. Tutorials are a must too! They are very helpful. The professor is very nice and helpful

Decent class. Tests need to be memorized from the book, no other way around it. She is really nice, and totally hot. Presentations can go on a little long, but she does what she can to make it more enjoyable. She is willing to help if you are falling behind. Also I don't think I mentioned this, but totally hot.
