Good class! She can come off as brash & pushy but in reality she is very nice and helpful. Some of the lesson plans were a bit disorganized, but she'll do anything to help you succeed. Tests are super easy if you just study what was covered in class. Always study the student-posted test review q&a's and you'll do great on every test. Overall good!
Dr. Feravich is really good. She gets to know her students by name, which i find nice. She is also very prompt, when answering email and such.
Great professor, I learned a lot from her class. Study the student Q&A's and you will do good on the exams. HW is extremely easy. Will definitely be taking her again if I can.
Awful teacher, avoid at all cost. Does not care about students or how they perform. Horrible grading policies and too stuck up and thinks she's too good to help students out.
Professor Feravich is a really nice lady and she was usually very helpful whenever I asked her a question. I really do not care about psychology that much, but I still passed class with a 3.7. It's fairly easy and she's nice, but there were some trick questions on the quizzes though. I'd take another class from her I think, any day!
Dr. Feravich is such a sweet lady! She loves teaching kids about positive psychology! She gets to know mostly everyones name in the class. She got to know mine well and I always asked her questions and would review with her. Some trick questions on the tests but pretty much the class is lecture, mini experiments, and project (surveys)! LOVE HER!
This professor is the worst. Don't buy the book, you never use it. The professor demands you call her doctor and is extremely biased. She teaches in a ridiculous manner and decided that everyone should think how she does. Test question consisted on if homosexuality was due to nature or nurture. This is not a justified question.
This prof is new to teaching & it shows. She prepared at the last minute, which meant that slides were never posted until minutes before class (even when asked for more time). This meant taking copious notes, which was difficult because she whips through slides & talks extremely fast. Did not make the class interesting--PSY 100 was much better.

Clearly new to teaching, she talks very fast and reads a list of facts straight from the book rather than making the material clear and relatable. Quiz questions are very easy, tests are hard. Goes very fast so it's hard to pick up the information, be sure to study the book or you will not pass this class. Very nice lady though.
She paste the text book into power point and reads through it very fast. She gives you online and unnecessary assignments that are no useful to you. Her style of teaching is poor. Anyone can copy and paste a text book and come to class and read it, but that it is not teaching and does not require a PhD. That is poor skills.

Made the Motivation class way harder than it needed to be. Way too much busy online work and quizzes every week which don't help at all. Tests were pretty hard and you really need to study a lot but she did curve. I will never take her again and recommend the same unless you absolutely have to. Hated the class way more than I thought I would
She never replies to emails. Thinks she's better than everyone. Tests were difficult, but she curved & let you pick/choose btwn multiple choice & essay. Lots of online busy work that does not relate to your paper. Pick a topic she likes or she will try to change it anyway. Speaks too fast & posts the ppt 5 mins before class. Doesn't grade quickly.
Often gets defensive and rude with students who are just asking for help. Her directions are very unclear, and disorganized. The power points and lectures are nearly useless, just read the book. Her tests and quizzes are ridiculously vague. not a good experience, NEVER taking her again!!!
Far too much busy work which is all submitted online, but she doesn't keep up very well on grading, so you don't get any feedback. Lectures straight out of the book, so you may as well sell the book back or just not come to class. Tests are incredibly specific so be sure to read very, very carefully.
Hands down one of the worst professors. I have never had a professor who had to be consistently shown the correct answers to HER exam questions. You have to double check all her grading bc she often marked answers wrong that came from the book! Assigned busy online work, didn't grade very quickly, and hardly replied to emails. Would not recommend.
Least favorite professor thus far. She was not clear in lectures. The material in the book was not consistent with her presentations, she jumps all over the place. She does assign a lot of writing assignments that seem to be busy work in the long run - not relevant to course material. Her tests are poorly written. Would not advise taking her class.
Didn't go to class much, she was really boring, you take quiz's in class so make sure to show up. Wouldn't recommend her, classes are too big for her to be of ANY help.
She is very passionate about teaching positive psychology.No text book used this semester. Read Journal articles that were very interesting and relevant to the lectures. Test questions were tricky. Recommend you attend lectures. Power points not sufficeint enough to study from.
Dr. Feravich makes the class very easy to follow, she also has a open door policy. There was also extra credithanded out to those who wanted or needed it.
Great class
Dr. Feravich is an excellent teacher. She is very passionate about her field and brings a lot of energy to a subject that I knew very little about before. She's helpful, fair, and easily approachable. I would definitely recommend her. Make sure you go to class though, she covers a lot of info that will be a test/quiz.
Covered a lot of material in this course which IS useful in future PSY courses,yet this prof treats this class like a 400 level course. Excessive writing assignmts, exams with 50% of the questions coming from God knows where. This prof IS passionate about the subject material yet she is often VERY disorganized and delinquent in grading assignmts
I took this class as a general education class and did not care for it at all. Dr. Feravich IS very generous with her grading and I was thankful for that, however, she does grade for participation which I found ridiculus for a lecture class. She doesn't grade attendance but she has quizzes during class so she can tell who is coming to class.
Professor Feravich was one of the best professors I have ever had. She knew so muh about Positive Psychology and explained everything so well. Participation is essential, but it will help you so much in the class. If you read the assigned readings and talk in class, you will do well.
This lady is a great teacher. She couldn't have been more helpful. All of the readings were available online, which saved the price of a textbook. She did a great job of selecting articles, both scholarly and popular, that built up an understanding of the subject week to week. Great class.
Professor Feravuch was very nice and always there for help if u need her. There were alot of assignments, but they all had a purpose and kept us on track for our papers. Overall i loved the class and she was a great professor and really knew the field! Would highly recommend her!
Dr. Feravich is one of the nicest professors I had so far. She knows the field and was very approachable whenever you needed her for anything. Unlike many professors at OU she really cares about her students and not research which I liked a lot. Tests were a little hard but you got to choose which questions you wanted to answer. Will take her again
This class was tough, read the book and you will do better than using her notes. teacher was easy going and helpful. Plus, she grades pretty easy. There were quizes every week and an assignment due every other week, but they were useful.
You know when your a psych major and everyone thinks you have the ability to figure people out? Motivation had the potential to be that. Not after she butchered the subject with a useless lectures and an unorganized class. I would rather take a class 10 times harder than have her again.
Great Prof! She is nice but tough. She expects you do put in the time and work. Course load was appropriate for the level. She is very interested in what she teaches. Would definitely recommend her. She talks fast so typing notes may be easier than pen and paper. If she knows your name by the end of the sem she'll give you 100 for participation.
She was a great professor and passionate about psychology. She a little tough on grading. If i was going to go into the field of psychology i would probably take her again, but i am not going into psycholgy. Great exploratory class and pretty easy 4.0 just have to work for it.
This was an awesome class! I thought it would be the same old boring things that you learn in every pych class, but she made it very interesting! Highly recommend! And super easy class, most quiz questions on test. Gives plenty of chances for extra credit and easy participant points. If she knows your name u get full credit!!!
She's one of the best professors I've ever had. Not only is she passionate about psychology, but she's also incredibly understanding when it comes to how students learn best. Unlike most of the professors I've had, she also offers multiple chances for extra credit with iClicker quizes and she curves tests.
She is always on time and there are clicker quizzes about once a week that offers extra credit. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going because things she talks about are on the test and not always in the book. The subject has a lot of material to learn but she spreads it out and explains things well. Highly recommended!
Despite this being her first 100 level psych course, she does an amazing job of simplifying and explaining concepts. She clearly has a great understanding of the subject and is eager to spread that knowledge. There are also many extra credit opportunities, but make sure you read your textbook!!
I would strongly recommend getting Feravich for this class. Attendance is not mandatory but you have clicker questions on certain days. Also the studies she talks about are not in the book but they are on exams. You do not really need the book unless you want to use the practice tests.

Random iClicker quizzes boost grade. Be sure to attend class for those and she'll really get to know you if you speak up a lot (which is good). Quizzes and tests are relatively easy if you do the readings and pay attention in class. Make sure to take PSY100 before coming. She takes time for meeting with students and replies promptly.Great professor
Never seems prepared for class, always reading off a sheet of paper, multiple errors on her exam questions. Takes days to reply to emails and an eternity grading the time-consuming writing assignments that don't contribute to the class which have vague descriptions and often ask deeply personal questions she has no business knowing about.
Feravich was terrible in this introductory class. Apparently this was her first time teaching it when I took it but she linked everything to Positive psych when that's not what that class was. An extremely unfair grader when it comes to clicker quizzes. My car broke down once and I missed one by 15 mins, she told me I was out of luck.
Dr. Feravich is very passionate about psychology and knows how to teach it to get it to stick. She adds her own interesting info that relates to the topic. She curves her exams and takes out bad questions. She tries to help you understand things if you have a question. Just make sure you study for her exams and show up for clicker quizzes.

This is my second time having her, and she is great! She is approachable and answers emails quickly, she makes sure she learns everyone's name. There is 3 papers for this class, but they are easy as long as you follow the rubric. The tests are tricky, so pay attention to what she says! Attendance is a must to do well-she makes sure you participate!
She is a terrific professor! She makes sure she gets to know all student's names-especially if you speak up. There are online quizzes every week and you get 2 tries-everything is from book. Her tests are difficult, but she curves them all. She also offers extra credit! Just make sure you pay attention and participate! It's a great class!
Dr. Feravich is an extremely nice Professor who cares deeply about her students which is why she curves her exams. There are 3 papers, which are really interesting, she is a fair grader. Her exams are wordy and hard, she does not like to see anyone fail and is always available for questions. Overall, she is an amazing Professor
I did not enjoy this class or professor. She is difficult to follow and her exams are difficult to study for because she is not clear about what will be on the exams. Additionally, we had weekly assignments that often asked us to write about very personal topics and these assignments often made me uncomfortable. Would recommend PSY100 instead.
Not a hard class but terrible teacher. TONS of assignments that were fluff but if you fall behind you will never catch up. She claims to take late work as well but closes the assignments so you can't submit late. Do NOT recommend, didn't learn anything and didn't enjoy the class at all
If you can avoid this teacher do! If you make minor mistakes on papers she talks to you like a child. Very full of herself. Willingness to help depends on her like for you. Won't grade papers unless they are turned in paper form. Goes on rants based on her opinons, information not always correct.
I have mixed feelings about her. She's informative when it comes to teaching, but when it comes to writing assignments, she's an extremely picky grader and it is hard to get a grasp on what she wants in the papers. Her feedback is often more belittling than constructive criticism. She's good, but be prepared to seek extra help for the writing.
Her power points are at most 10 slides long, but she takes days to get through them. She would put very little information on the slides and say all the important things, so it's like the powerpoints don't even matter. All you have to do is listen to what she says. Papers are impossible. No matter how hard you try, it'll never be good enough.
Dr. Feravich is tough, but in a good way. She truly cares about her students genuinely learning and retaining the material she teaches. Her exams are tough, but she will throw out questions if the entire class had issues with them. If you go to class, you will be rewarded. You will have to work for your grade, but it's worth it.
Probably the worst class I have taken at OU. This class is a joke, assignments go ungraded for weeks. Massive workload for a 100 level class, you have to perform "mini-experiments" on yourself every week. You're less of a student, and more of a guinea pig. I haven't a learned a thing about the subject. Tons of busy work every week, no guidance.

I like the concept of this subject... But I just don't think she is the right professor for it. It was kinda difficult. Maybe it would be different if I actually had her in class. But this wasn't the greatest.
This is the worst professor I've ever had. She does not grade things for weeks and when she does, she grades things based on your opinions. I've started having to lie about everything so I don't fail. She doesn't answer questions in time and therefore, there is no clarity to the assignments. You are like a guinea pig for her experiments.
UNFAIR PROFESSOR. AVOID AT ALL MEANS. WORKLOAD IS RIDICULOUS, SHE DOESN'T ANSWER EMAILS, NOT WILLING TO HELP.
Took this as an online summer class. Weekly quizzes, discussions, and mini assignments. WAY too much for a 100 level class. My 300 level summer classes were easier than this class. Grades based on opinion and takes forever to grade and respond. Spelling and grammar errors constantly in her tests and quizzes, clearly does not double check anything.
Awful at explaining. You are better off not going to class and taking the time to read on your own and try it that way
Dr. Feravich is a great professor. I had her for Intro to Life-Span Human Development. She truly cares about what she teaches and she makes it very possible to get an A. Going to class is mandatory because she mentions many things that aren't in the book. The exams are difficult if you don't prepare but she always adds a few points extra.
She's a nice person but I don't like how she teaches. Honestly, I was confused for most of the class time. When she would post her powerpoint, I would print it then get to class and she would change it all up. During lecture, she seemed confused and would jump between powerpoint slides. She got distracted easily and didn't explain it well.
She was an ok professor. She is very passionate about psychology but her exams are straight from the book and her lectures jump around all over the place sometimes going off on things that aren't even related. I like her online quizzes though- they really helped. Basically, read the book, make notes, and you'll do fine.
4 exams. Study notes and outline your book and you'll pass with an A. Study book examples and pay attention to specific examples given in class. Three 5-page papers, moodle quizzes for every chapter, in class discussion Q's and gives extra credit (test curves&additional discussion Qs). Very nice and personable. Uses her own experience as examples.
Scattered is a good adjective for her. She is sort of hyper and all over the place and changes her PowerPoints often. Easy to drift off in her class. Exams are not too terrible but not the easiest. Would not take again.
This class is considered "grad level" to her, could be a made easier but she makes it more confusing than it needs to be. Hard to please. LOTS of papers. Doesn't really answer emails. Very scattered, had to constantly remind myself why info was relevant to topic, chapter and course. "Study for exams like all essay's". Good luck.

350 characters isn't enough to say how bad is a professor she is. Like most others have said, you're basically a guinea pig for her. The homework has nothing to do with what you're learning in class, and it's more for her to just study the results. Most of the homework is taking the same surveys over and over again, and it takes forever to do them.
I do have to say that she is a very passionate professor. She should be a speaker as opposed to a teacher. The lectures are laced with opinions that she claims as truths. The tests are very hard as they don't cover the topics that were drilled into our brains. It is an interesting class but she is too confusing and the facts aren't accurate.
Always procrastonating, directions for assignments are unclear, test questions are confusing. She has very opinionated lectures. You think you know what she expects from you and then you see your grade and want to cry. Powerpoints are always changing so you have to print them 100 times. She curves grades so you will do ok, but it stresses you out.

Passionate and wants students to succeed and learn in her class. Then she makes it almost impossible to do. Lectures are all over the place, taking notes is a joke. Takes forever to grade and email back. When I did receive emails from her, they were short and unhelpful. Quality reading material, but she assigns a ridiculous amount of it, especially considering that this is a 100 level class. Lots of spelling errors and confusing wording in quiz questions. She's very well knowlegable in the course and even gave us extra credit because she didn't write an exam very well. She does have some issues with flow and seems like she's unprepared most classes. Definitely has a personality and is overall enjoyable in her lectures. Fair grader.
I took Positive Psychology with her. Overall, the class is extremely interesting and it will change you. But the class is REALLY content & coursework heavy. There's too much homework for a 200 level. The class is designed to be online so prepare to read and write A LOT. Take good notes in lecture because the tests are open note.
Her PowerPoints are completely unhelpful Asking help from her is a joke, she responds to your question with another question and expects you to figure it out. Her tests are completely ridiculous, EVERYONE in my class did bad on them and shes had to curve several times.
I'd never take one of her classes again. I've found multiple q's on exams or quizzes where the answers she puts aren't even correct and I've pulled the correct answer out of the book. She has low test averages for all her classes and has to "curve" (literally adds extra points for everybody) every single exam. She doesn't know what she's doing.
This is her first online class and it shows. She never responds to questions by email or forum post and when she does, it's to say ask your classmates or you posted in the wrong forum. Knowledgeable, dedicated professor but wayy too much homework. I have her for Social Psych as well as Positive Psych, and although I enjoy the subject matter, the amount of reading and Moodle assignments she posts are overwhelming- especially for Positive Psych. Be prepared to put in lots of work outside class. Don't take both these 2 classes.

She emphasizes "students never answer my questions directly & that's why they lose point" so OF COURSE we all try to be VERY attentive and answer thoroughly but it is NEVER good enough. just nit picky & this prof is way too scatter brained and disorganized to be soo tough
She is extremely unclear during her lectures and dances around the topics. Quizzes are every sunday and they are HARD. You have to read many articles, even after reading them the quiz seems impossible. She's not fast at answering emails either. I was told that this class was easy and she was great. If I could turn back time I would of never taken.

This course has a ton of assignments and readings on Moodle every week. I do not feel like attending class has helped me on her quizzes and tests very much, if at all. There are hard quizzes every Sunday, and "mini" exercises that actually require a large amount of time outside class. Some concepts don't seem to be in the lecture or readings.

Do not take her Positive Psychology class!! This is the first class I have ever gotten below a 3.2 in. :( I put in my best effort but the readings and assignments are overwhelming. Her lectures are based around her opinions, and her quizzes and tests are poorly written and difficult. Curves all her tests because no one does well on them.
I got an A on every exam, but still a C overall because her weekly online quizzes are so hard. (and I did the assigned readings)
Avoid at all costs. Unfortunately this prof is the only one teaching specific psych courses - so you're stuck with her, just try to make the most out of it. Her disorganization is prevalent, making it up to YOU to keep track of everything, if not it can come back to haunt you. she distributes more course work than even she can keep up with.

I read many reviews for this prof in the past & took them with a grain of salt. I'm a very conscientious student & have never taken a course I've not mastered. That being said, all of my previous profs were organized w/ clear expectations & consistent grading standards. This course was the exception. If you have other options, I'd choose them!
I have never dropped class because of a professor before but I had to with her. She shares her opinions about very touchy topics without being knowledgeable in the topic. Does not teach anything and gives you homework that makes no sense. DO NOT TAKE HER EVER.
She is so amazing. Very, very smart and well educated so she knows what she's talking about. She talks to the class like we're just having a conversation instead of lecturing at us the whole time. Gives some homework and there's a presentation.
She has some flaws like any human being, but she tries to work with students. If you have a problem come talk to her! Her classes are tough but she isn't a bad professor, really. Don't hesitate to take a course with her, if you put in your best effort you will earn a lot and see good grades. Don't study, get bad grades. Just the way it goes here.
After reading some of these reviews I was a little nervous, but I honestly thought she was a good teacher. She gives so much extra credit and she's always there for help. Honestly if you do your part then this class should be easy for you. She's really passionate and made class lectures interesting. I would take her again.
I hate that she is the only prof that teaches some psych classes. I am desperately trying my best to avoid this prof as we speak. I cannot take another class w her doing aimless BUSY work, having her switch up expectations & grades in the middle of the semester, having to redirect her when she marks things wrong for no reason. Its too much!
Do not recommend. Gives homework over breaks. Doesn't grade in a timely fashion, its December- I have stuff from October that isn't graded. Students are responsible for creating discussion questions and facilitating the discussion- both of which should be a professors job. Weird assignments that require you to go places like sex shops...
For a strictly online class it's important that the professor be attentive and organized, which Professor Feravich is not. Grades will not get back to you until the end of the semester which is very frustrating and she is consistently making typos on due dates. The class is interesting and I learned alot, but the lack of organization is awful.
I was a nervous to take her class, but I honestly I'm glad I did. Yes, her tests and quizzes are a bit hard, but if you keep up with the readings and ask for help when you need it you'll be fine. Took her twice and I will take her class again. Make sure you do all the quizzes, the 9 weekly assignments, and keep up with the readings. The exams aren't worth as much as the quizzes and assignments combined so don't stress about those. She's a great professor and you could tell she's trying her best.

Ive had many different profs/ teaching styles, but she was the worst. I had a very poor experience with her. Inappropriate comments non supportive to students who are going the clinical route in the field. She had a hard time teaching cognitive pscyh. It was CLEAR she is not familiar with the material. WRT intensive class, so be prepared to work on a semester long 12-15 page paper. Tests cover A LOT of info, so study the slides a lot + read the book if still lost. Tough online quiz for every ch., but offers lots of extra credit. Grades 96% as 4.0 & presents LOTS of extra info in lecture, but it's not mandatory to come.
I love her positive psych class! You can tell she really cares about what she is teaching! This was one of my favorite classes this year for sure!
I love the class itself bc I am learning a ton, but the teaching disorganization is impeccable! Also, her quizzes are worth more than her tests and they are more difficult than the tests which doesn't make sense. She is sweet, humorous, and competent, but I wouldn't go her route. I also wish she offer more E.C.
Avoid! Unclear on assignments, grammatical errors throughout assignments/exams. Does not grade in a timely manner (5-6 week turnaround if we're lucky) Feedback makes zero sense. Her incompetence is almost laughable (except I am paying for this education). I can't believe this passes as higher ed.
Hands down the worst teacher I have had. Laughed at students for giving the wrong answers, changed her schedule for the class so often she wasnt even able to keep track of it, and used website blogs to support the things she was teaching. You can learn everything you need to know for the exam by skipping class and reading the book instead.
AVOID AT ALL COST. She is unorganized. Grading is inconsistent. One week will say your doing great the next will day you are doing terrible. Not approachable when it comes to asking for help. Unavailable over email unless you want to wait for two days to get a response. Worst experience I've had in a class my whole college career.
She's very passionate about teaching psychology, but she is very disorganized. Lectures can be hard to follow as she jumps around a lot. There are weekly quizzes, but most of them either do not have the correct answer, or have several correct answers, but you just have to choose the one that is most correct. Essays do not have an official rubric.
The WORST professor I've ever had. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional and lacking in actual teaching skill. Her tests/quizzes are unintelligible at times, feedback is inconsistent, that is when you actually get a grade back in 7-8 weeks. She doesn't answer emails. I could go on and on about deficiencies. DO NOT TAKE HER! HORRIBLE!
It was a tough class but she is an amazing professional professor. She made the class very interesting and has an excellent style of teaching. I Highly recommend her.

Worst professor OU has to offer. A student posted a question on one of our assignments and the professor made fun of her. Online Quizzes are incredibly hard, can not even find the answer in the book. Talks down to students. Sometimes is not prepared to teach the chapter and still will test you on the material she missed.

Dr. Feravich is an excellent instructor and a fair grader. While it is true she requires you to work for a good grade, with dedication and effort an A is quite possible in this class.
Dr. Feravich is a creative lecturer when it comes to cognitive psychology. This subject requires a lot of study time and the class in general is very paper heavy. However, Dr. Feravich is an extremely fair grader and helps you develop your writing skills.
She is passionate about the subject she teaches, caring and includes a lot of relative research in her classes. I have taken 2 courses with this professor and would take classes with her again. I enjoyed her positive psychology class the most!
This social cognition course was very challenging but worthwhile. You have to do the readings and there is a very difficult online quiz on each chapter. Each of the six writing assignments took me 3-6 hours and Dr. Feravich gave really detailed feedback on all of them. Overall I spent a lot of time at the library but I learned a lot.
She is terrible at lecturing. The online quizzes are like exams and take us forever to do them. I dont even know where she gets some of these questions from. Youll get stuck on a question for hours, look at the book, google it, and still get it wrong. And when we tried to tell her about our struggles, it was like talking to a wall.
I got stuck with this professor after the one that I was previously assigned to left the university. Staying with her was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The lectures are incredibly confusing and the "quizzes" are ridiculously difficult. She kept saying that she cares about her students and our grades, but actions speak louder than words
Dr. Feravich's classes are difficult, but she does truly care about her students and is always available for help. She is very easy to talk to, as well. If you take notes on what she is lecturing and not on the PowerPoints themselves, you will have a higher chance of succeeding.
Lectures are SO dry and she can seem standoff-ish BUT if you talk to her she'll tell you exactly what she wants out of you. She doesn't focus strictly on defining key terms rather she rewords it so just reading the book without going to lecture kinda gets you nowhere. She's very merciful with final grades. She curved all quizzes and our exams.
She's tough but fair! She gives a lot of homework and lectures heavy because she wants you to actually learn and be prepared for grad school. She may seem intimidating but if you talk to her she is actually so kind, caring and helpful it's unbelievable. She really wants you to pass and will do anything to help you so ask if you need it.
If you want to get an easy A, she's not the professor for you. I had to work hard in her class, but I was able to keep my 4.0 with her. She gives extra credit and cares about her students and their grades. She is also very passionate and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed her class.
Dr. Feravich truly loves what she teaches. She is approachable and cares for each of her student's. She is able to relate concepts regarding health psychology to the real-world. Discussion forums were helpful. The intellectual input from my colleagues added to my own knowledge and understanding.
Very approachable. I had extenuating circumstances this semester, and she was very understanding. If I missed a quiz, she let me take it anyway. She really wanted to make sure that her students learned the material. Answered emails very timely.
This professor lectures by the book, so I don't know why people would find the lectures confusing. She also provides PowerPoints that coincide with the book, which are very helpful. You need to attend her class to get a good grade, but her lectures are enjoyable, she gives numerous examples, and if you attend, she gives extra credit in class.
Dr. Feravich helped me so much! I was really struggling this semester, and not only was she understanding about late work, she spent a lot of time with me during office hours explaining things and helping me with my struggles.
Attend lecture, take notes and read the textbook! You have to work, but you will walk away learning a lot. Very passionate about what she teaches and her students.
Go to lectures and you'll do just fine. Even missing a class or two won't hurt you. She is extremely accessible to answer questions before/after class and over email. She has a paper project and is more than reasonable during the process and grading! Would highly recommend.
Very helpful for this being an online class. I think this class would be more beneficial as a lecture, but she does what she can! Ask her questions, she is more than reasonable in providing help when you need it. The book she uses is very interesting material and all quiz questions come straight from the book!
You will need to come to class and you will need to come to learn. You need to be there for the lectures, but they are usually interesting. Her class gives me hope. Come prepared to work.
Dr. Feravich is a fair professor. Her class forces you to dive in and learn! Dr. Feravich helped me write a Literature Review that I makes me extremely proud to read back. Yes, I had to read 3-4 chapters the night before any exam of very dense textbook writing to get an A(80pgs). Guess what? I learned a ton about Social Psychology doing it!!!
She is a sweet & understanding lady, but not the best professor. Her powerpoints are confusing and don't really cover what she is going over. So many online assignments she expects you to do. Quizzes every single week and they're only 15 questions. Also expects you to read a few different articles and watch hour long videos for the 15 point quiz.
As a person, Feravich is a nice lady. As far as being a professor, I'll try to avoid taking her again. Lectures were so boring, information felt redundant, and there's always so many videos and online articles to read that may or may not be on the quiz. Not a hard class but if you hate busy work I wouldn't take her
Dr. Feravich is passionate and clearly knows the material. However, if you have another option, I would take it. It can be difficult to do well in this class because of the quizzes and tests. Lecture/reading material does not always relate to the quizzes very well. She is a good lecturer but not good at developing assessments.
Dr. Feravich made research designs easy and interesting! She is clear on what she wants you to know for the quizzes and gives a lot of in class extra credit. There are chapter quizzes. The book was very helpful and straight to the point, do the practice MC questions at the end of the chapter because they are sometimes on the quiz. She is great!

This pro is a nice lady. However, she doesnt not teach very well. Very confusing. Weekly quizzes. Assigns learning activities on top of Assigning us to watch several videos that are hours long, several articles ON TOP of reading the chapter FOR EACH WEEK. It was a horrible experience (learning wise) I had to teach myself. However very caring.
I took this class over the Summer semester, biggest mistake. If you are taking more than one class, DO NOT take this class. There is a ton of busy work and prof. Feravich can be incredibly disrespectful at times. She is a difficult grader, I rarely struggle and I found myself spending 25+ hours a week trying to get the best grade I possibly could.

I have her right now for PSY2500 and she is BY FAR the most unorganized professor Ive ever had, her powerpoints have no useful information in them, she says all of the information out loud so if you dont get all of it, tough luck. Quizzes every Friday and homework due every Sunday. Quizzes are super hard and questions are trying to trick you.

I took her for PSY 2500. loved the actual material, but the way it was taught made me have multiple nervous breakdowns. Ended up teaching myself through the course. When I went to her for help, she told me she had 45 other students and it wouldn't be fair to them if she helped me as much as I needed. Takes herself too seriously. Avoid if you can.

I was on the dean's list twice and completely left that behind me when I took this class. Her quizzes are almost impossible to pass no matter how well your notes are and how much you study. She's very caring, but completely unorganized; never stays on topic in lectures which makes it hard to follow along. Definitely recommend taking someone else.
Prof Feravich has gotten some mixed reviews but I don't really know why she has bad ones. I can't speak for PSY 2500 but for these electives she is amazing. Extremely caring and flexible when things come up. In smaller classes she definitely expects participation but she is not trying to "call you out". She just looks for deep conversation.
She talks about her personal life too much and assigns WAY too much work. We have two classes left until finals week & she just assigned TWO MORE CHAPTERS that will be on the final. I can't do a chapter a day when I am also taking other classes. All classes were changed to online bc COVID19 and she's changing the schedule constantly. DONT TAKE HER

This course got switched to online because of COVID-19 and the amount of work has doubled. I had an easier time reading the book and teaching myself than I did trying to follow her lecture. Massive project at the end of the semester that was horribly explained and discussed once in class. Takes days for a response on an email or Q&A forum. HORRIBLE
Professor Feravich is passionate. You homework about once a week with clear instructions. You also have a quiz once a week usually that are pretty easy if you pay attention and read. She gives lots of extra credit. My biggest knock is her lecturing style is kind of all over the place at times. Not my favorite Prof but I would take her again.

Took this class because I need an extra Psych class for my major, BIG MISTAKE. I believed this was going to be a simple class to pass. She doesnt put grades up , i thought i was doing well when she finally did tell me my grade it was impossible for me to improve my grade. I Stoped doing her work & im taking a U. I will say is very nice though.
Even though I respect Feravich, I would definitely not take her again. The psych course is supposed to be pretty easy going but she makes the class way harder than it's supposed to be and the questions on quizzes can be very misleading. Though, I enjoy the way she does her lectures she overall makes everything too complicated.
I was really surprised by some of the comments about Professor Feravich. I thought that most of the students in the Research Design class really liked her. She gives homework so that we can practice the lesson and the textbook is very good, if you read it.
I don't know why anyone would think that a 3000 level course is supposed to be easy-going. This course was on Emotion and although it wasn't exactly what I expected (lots of neurological info), it was very interesting. And Dr. Feravich is always enthusiastic. I've had her in three classes now. She is really my favorite professor.
This course was my first course at OU and so my first experience with Dr. Feravich. I was so surprised how compassionate she is with her students. She really made me feel less anxious about the whole experience. And I always felt she was available outside of class.
I've taken Dr. Feravich twice and her classes are not easy. I am an older student and it amazes me how students think they can get all the information in class without ever opening a book. Her PowerPoints take information directly from the book, so if you read the book, you know exactly what she's talking about.

I have taken a lot of psychology courses at OU and at other schools, and this is by far the most difficult one I have taken. The concepts are not necessarily difficult, but Dr. Feravich's lectures and the book she uses make it more complicated than it needs to be. She also grades harshly and never specifies why you got a grade. She is rude, too.
She is very inconsiderate and rude. If you ask her a question she is very condescending. She doesn't have clear grading criteria and she doesn't grade anything. By the time you realize you did an assignment wrong, you've already submitted 5 others. Her lectures are not straight forward either. Would not recommend her class.

Doctor Feravich is a horrible grader. When final grades were due, the only things she had grades in for were things from the first 4 weeks of class. Expects way too much out of discussion posts, didnt tell us until 3 weeks in that she wanted us to respond to 3 people. Also ignored all of my emails about the final paper, and she never graded it.

She started the class off by bragging about how not many students get an A in her class. She would often go off on rants about her conspiracy theories, then a few times would made us watch pre-recorded lectures on weekends because we were so behind. There were many assignments she left to grade the night before grades were due.
This professor needs to be terminated. She is the worst professor I have ever had at Oakland University and that says a lot. She doesn't respond to emails and is rude. I do not think she is fit to teach. Look at all these negative reviews about her. Do yourself a favor and take ANY other class and make sure she is not the professor.

Her expectations are not clear. Her assessments are poorly written, she makes mistakes often, and she is a poor communicator. Be ready to email her constantly if you want to succeed. I had no idea what the point of the class was until after classes I am usually an A B student and she failed me with a 70% because she believes that I don't know what I am doing
She grades papers and writing assignments extremely bias/lazy,anyone will tell you that. She put all grades in the day they were due to the school, never give feedback. Spends 40 minutes of the hour talking about whatever she wanted. Would edit quizzes during class review, and said if she forgot to teach something on the quiz, it wasn't her fault.
Dont make the same mistake I did and ignore the bad reviews. Pick somebody else
I was so excited & looking forward to this class but Dr. Feravich made it a living nightmare! She never post readings, assignments, lectures, etc. on time or grades anything in a timely manner. When you try to ask a question or gain clarification, her response is very rude & highly unprofessional. I honestly have no idea how she is still teaching.
This class does not have to be THAT difficult. Seriously just avoid it. If she ever gets terminated or leaves I would pay to watch. She is just so ????
