absolutely terrible. She doesn't know what she's teaching. Spends the whole class time on one problem and still does it wrong.
The instructor is very good, takes the time to explain well the concepts and their application. She is very helpful to the students inside and outside the classroom. Take the course with her.
She is detailed in her explanations of the course material, very patient with the students, and always available for them. She wants her students to practice a lot. If you want to pass the tests, study hard and practice.
She is willing to help any student who reaches out and asks for it. Her exams are similar to the review problems she does in the review class, so it is easy to get an A with some review and studying. Most complainers in my class simply don’t do the practice problems she gave out.
It is important that you go to class, because the material she covers in class is relevant to exams and test. I do not know what people are expecting from a math class, the material is manageable and she is detailed in her explanations. The people who complain in my class aren't putting in the time.
She is very nice. She genuinely wants her students to do well. She cares about her students and does her best to make the class clear. She is helpful in her office hours. The students who don’t study are these who argue a lot. Take this professor, do the homework and the tests and math ideas would seem real easy!
she is terrible! she has no clue what she is talking about and tends to teach the material wrong. when the correct method from the book is brought up she tends to argue that the book is wrong as well. do not take her class if you want to learn anything. but take it if you want a really easy a
I like this Professor, because she teaches the class differently from the traditional. She engages us in discussions and makes us think. I like her way of teaching that gives me space to analyze the math issues, not just reading the textbook. Take the class with her. You will learn on developing your thinking skills.
"Mathematical Ideas" is great for GCR students. It is more ideas than math. She makes it very interesting. Lectures are clear. She posts everything on Bb – very helpful. Her tests and grading are fair. Math department needs to chance the textbook which is an outdated book.
She is very helpful and clear with her course policy. Go to her classes, do the homwork, and the reviews for he exams, you will get a good gade in her course. She is very practical in her lectures and helps the students do weel in class.
MY LEAST FAVORITE TEACHER @ GW. She gets all of her problems wrong, grades tests wrong, and has a horrible grasp of the english language. She gives tests the SAME PROBLEMS as her review but grades them wrong and never shows us. It was a pathetic course I deserved an A and she never gave me the reasoning why I never got it. DO NOT TAKE AVOID AVOID
All of the people here who say that she does not know how to do math or grade correctly are telling the TRUTH. She does not understand the material and she will not understand you when YOU try to explain it to her. The material is easy, but the instruction of this class makes it much harder and more frustrating than it needs to be.
These who complained in this class were the ones who did not study and did not want to learn. There is so much that an instructor can do when the students are lazy. She is a good instructor and she was always there for the students. Take the class with her, if she is still there.
I liked the class. The instructor's style of teaching was efficient and explicit. She did well to motivate us and to make us work hard. She is a nice lady and a good teacher. Take the course with her.
I wonder how this professor got her job at our school. There is are rumors she is a friend of somebody in the upper administration and that's how she got to teach this course. She doesn't know what she is teaching. She gets the problems wrong and doesn't answer questions. Please don't take her class, run away!!!!
I like this professor, she is an amazing instructor. Always helpful to the students, available to them at all times. She enjoys teaching and does it very well. Most of the students like her. Information is very clear, quizzes are reasonable, tests can be a bit difficult. Need the book for a reference, need to take notes in class. I would definit
Dr. Draganova is a nice instructor. She genuinely cares about the students. If you do the homework, and the practical exercise she does in class, you will do well. She tries to make her classes as clear as possible. Her exams are challenging at times. She is a fair grader. Take this professor and you will do well.
Professor Draganova is a good instructor. She expects her students to attend to and participate in class, do the homework, and work hard. If you do all this, you will do well on the exams. She is very helpful to the students. Take this class with her.
she dose not understand anything about the syllabus in fact she said that when a person skydives they float and stay in the air. She is a very terrible professor she dose not teach anything that is written in the text book and also she dose not explain properly and spends the whole lesson working on one equation while making it more complicated.
Dr. Draganova is an awesome professor. She gives good feedback, well respected by students, uses clear grading system, expects students to learn and participate in class, encourages them to work hard. The lazy students do not like her. Take the class with her if you have the chance.
Dr. Draganova gives lots of homework and pop quizzes. She creates motivational environment and she is there for you. Her lectures are amazing and test are somewhat difficult. Take the class with her in case you want to learn.
Honestly, not sure she graded our assignments but got 100 on all of them. Take her she is nice and you will get an A, don't need textbook
Her lectures are dry ad difficult to follow. She begins the course like you already understand computer programming which is extremely difficult. So, you really have to do a lot of outside practice and always do the reviews that she gives you for the exams because most of her questions come from them. You can get an A though if you work for it.
Boring, dull and hard to follow.
This professor is the worst ever I have seen in GWU. She is such mean professor and will never understand you because she always think she's right and everybody else are dumb. A professor refuse to answer your question with an excuse that she is busy. If you want to suffer and fail the course, recommend.
Draganova is a fine instructor, she makes the students work in her class, while many classmates prefer not to, although she goes line by line in her coding. She is always available to help, does online consultations. If you attend her classes and do the assigned work, you can learn and do excellent in her class.
Draganova demonstrates vigor and involvement in lesson presentation, explains clearly and puts ideas logically, answers the student questions, follows up to date information including learning content with instructional objectives. She encourages students participation and promotes critical thinking. I like her and if you do the problems assigned
Draganova is good, she monitors student learning, provides feedback, encourages students to work in groups, level of difficulty is average, tries to motivate you to feel that without programming you cant make it, gives answers to questions, promotes critical thinking, time maximalist on tasks, fair grader. If you do all assigned problems in class
She is not great at explaining the basics of coding, so unless you have some background you will be very lost. The exams are not that difficult and everything is open internet, so it's very easy to find what you need online. She takes attendance daily, but she doesn't care what you actually do in class
She is knowledgeable, awesome, helpful, and always willing to accommodate, curves exams, down to earth. She is unforgiving if you miss anything, let you make up missing tests. If you do work in the semester, you will do fine. Really good part about this class was she does help you do well.
Prof. Draganova is awesome, knowledgeable and practical. Lots of problems to solve, tests are moderate, She has good power point. She is unforgiving if you miss anything or do poorly she does let you make up any points. If you do the work you will do fine. Really good part about this class is the online resources can be used when solving practical.
She is great, do the work in class, hands on problems and take notes. She is awesome. Take the course with her. She know the material well. Go for it.
Prof. Draganova is a nice and respected professor. She asks her students to work hard, but she awards them accordingly. She gives a lot of opportunities to the students to do well, helpful in class and outside the classroom. She is awesome, take the class with her. She has the ability to motivate you, participation in class is important.
Not the greatest overall teacher but super nice and class is very reasonably difficult, and she offers a lot of chances for extra credit in the class. Participation is somewhat important, but you could do well just doing the practice problems she posts and going thru the online posted lectures.
If you try, it is easy to pass and do very well. Go to class and make sure she knows who you are, turn in your homework, and do all the extra credit she offers (every point matters). All tests are called "in-class problem solvings" and you can work in groups and use your laptop for all exams. Not a hard class, just put in effort and you'll do fine!
Take the class with Draganova, you can learn in her class. Go to class, do all assignments, her lectures are fine, it is worth to take the class.
Draganova's class is well informative and a hands-on problem solving. She is very nice, helpful, and encouraging the students to learn. Go to class, do well on the exams, you will be fine. Take it!
Professor Draganova is awesome, makes you work in class and cares about your understanding of the subject. She motivates her students and makes them believe in themselves. Take her class, you will learn and do well. She is a wonderful professor.
Difficult to understand because of her accent, but no doubt dedicated to her work. Lectures can be a bit dry and confusing, but if you find a study buddy you'll be fine.
Draganova is a Professor who inspires you and cares about your learning. Attend her classes, do the homework, participate, and will be fine. She is always in her office and helps students. I will take a class with her. She is great!
Professor Dragonova is one of the sweetest professors I have had so far. If you ever have any issues she is eager to help. The only time there is ever an issue is sometimes you ask a question and she gives you the answer to another problem, but if you clarify your question will be answered. Also, you can work in groups for all tests/quizzes
Professor Draganova is caring, respected, and encouraging professor. She makes you work a lot, but she awards you for your work and motivates you to do well! Take her classes, she prepares you for real life work environment. Would love to have more professors like her.
She is very friendly and caring but her lecture is boring, plus she basically does not know how to grade stuff. Remember to submit homework and do every question on exams (even though you don't know anything at all) and you'll still get a full grade. Not recommended if you actually want to learn but recommended if you want an easy A.
So I'll be honest this class is easy to pass but you will learn absolutely nothing. She also likes to flip things around and change things on the syllabus if people are not attending even though attendance isn't mandatory. If you want to get a good grade and actually retain information that will help you I suggest another professor.
she is so sweet! Her lectures can be very tedious and especially since its early in the morning everybody is brain dead but she is very understanding if you cant meet a deadline. In class problem solving is fairly easy if you have a good group although I will say she does tend to expect too much of her students in that class.
Her lectures can get boring. But I took all her classes and I love her. She is just the kindest person ever. She wants you to succeed in life and learn, not just get good grades. Do what she asks for, respect her, attend, and you will be rewarded. easy grader and flexible with deadlines. DO NOT take advantage of her kindness or disrespect her.
Dismal professor. I taught myself the entire class from Youtube. Lectures were useless because she doesn't know how to explain anything. Everyone recommended her because her class is an easy A, which is true (everything is take home), but if you care about learning a single thing about Calc 4, please choose another professor. Sweet lady though ...
Professor Draganova is awesome, very dedicated to her students and helpful outside the classroom. I have taken a few classes with her, she is inspirational and wants the students to learn.
Prof. Draganova is very caring person, she cares about students and their knowledge. She gives good feedback you can learn from. Her classes are well liked ones because she tries to train you for your Internship program. Prof. Draganova wants you to learn and to read lectures and textbooks. I will take any class with her.
Professor Draganova is great, her teaching is awesome, makes the students learn and practice a lot. She is very helpful, encourages students to work and to learn. I would happily take another class with her.
Professor Draganova is super nice and caring. She wants her students to do well and understand the material instead of worrying about grades.
DON'T LISTEN TO ANY GOOD REVIEWS OF THIS PROFESSOR While this class is an easy A, you will NOT learn anything. I am convinced that she writes her own positive reviews. All the knowledge I have of C programming came from my TA. You will learn nothing from her lectures and her tests are so ambiguous that you won't know how to attempt the problems.
Draganova is an atrocious professor. She should not be teaching a course at university. Her lectures are so convoluted and disorganized that it's a waste of time to go to class. She will make your life 10x harder for no reason. She can barely answer questions on her own material and she switches things up from the syllabus with no warning.
Look at all the five star reviews on this page- they are so clearly fake. There is no way this many people are describing their professor as "caring" and "motivational". Every review has the same format, and every single one ends with "take this class" or something similar. Literally please don't believe any good reviews on this page.
Professor Draganova is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is a very nice lady, but she will not teach you anything. Everything I learned, I learned on my own. This class is a pretty easy A, but I would not recommend taking this class unless it's the only option.
Free A. If you actually need to learn the material don't take. But if you won't need the material for a later class then take it. For example, APSC 2113 is a class that I won't really need in the future so I'm happy with the easy A. DO NOT GO TO HER LECTURES.
Learned nothing in this class. DO NOT GO TO LECTURES, they are absolutely useless. Easy A, but I know nothing about differential equations.
Draganova is the worst professor of all time. It is a miracle that she has not been fired. Do not listen to any of the good reviews, they are fake. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
Draganova doesn't seem to understand how to teach a class, even though she is nice. She allows working in groups and has take home tests which make the class quite easy to do well in. But, she also doesn't teach a single thing. After this class, you may still not know what a differential equation is, and if this is a class needed later, DONT TAKE!
Professor Draganova is awesome and smart. She requires her students to put time in their learning process, to participate in class, and to be self-responsible. She is very nice and attentive to every student in class. As a student, I do not think that I can rate a Professor since I am not familiar with the evaluation process. Thank you Professor!
She only has a high rating due to fake reviews. She does not know how to teach, and it is impossible to communicate with her because she does not understand english well. You will not learn anything about differential equations in this class, and I imagine that will be detrimental in more advanced engineering courses. Please do not take!
Do not take this class if you want to learn anything about differential equations. It is relatively easy due to most of the assignments being online, but it is very hard to communicate with her and understand how the grading process works.
She is a good professor, but you need to be prepared before taking her class. This means you should have knowledge of the subject matter from external resources. It is easy to get an A if you do a great job on your homework and tests. She is really flexible when it comes to grading your homework and tests.
She is really awesome and take care students a lot, so you do not need to worry about the class, test easy to get A
Draganova is an awesome Instructor, she want you to learn the material and to be present in class. She is a hard working Professor with her students and wans them to enjoy success!
Dr. Draganova is flexible and keeps up with current trends to engage students and keep them interested. Need to attend classes, do homeworks, and problem solving, to understand the material.
Indeed a lovely and caring lady. However, she spent the entire semester swiping through slideshows and not actually working out problems, doesn't even understand student questions, and puts unsolvable questions on homeworks, quizzes and tests. Students have to cheat the whole semester in order to get decent grades. She makes exams easy though
Professor Draganova is very kind a sweet. But she is just not a great professor by any means. For one, it feels like her class doesn't follow any sort of curriculum or order. The tests are relatively easy, and they are usually open note/textbook. However, professor Draganova is confusing, and is not extremely responsive/helpful if you have an issue
She is quite possibly one of the worst professors I've ever had. Exams are usually take home, but you will not learn anything from her class. Her lectures are extremely boring -- she just reads the solutions from the slides. She is also EXTREMELY unhelpful if you email her for any reason.
Terrible professor. She likes when students ask questions but seems frustrated when people ask questions. just clicks through slides and occasionally requires exit tickets for attendance but doesn't give enough time to actually do the problem. Take this class with a different professor.
Don't take this class if you need to know diff eqs. Incredibly unorganized prof, lectures are her reading off slides but going too fast for note-taking. She would randomly remove important documents or assignments from BB and then act confused why the class hadn't accessed them. Unhelpful via email. AVOID, or get ready to teach yourself this topic.
Professor Draganova is a very nice lady, however her lectures are absolutely boring. They are absolutely unnecessary but she requires attendance. All she does is flip through her slideshows, going to fast for you to take notes. It's a very easy class but you will go insane having to go to every lecture.
hard to understand, she cant comprehend what we are asking, even if you say the right answer she might not understand and think its wrong, she takes forever to grade.
Horrible and she makes her own rate my professor reviews to make students think she is good.
Horrible professor, horrible person. Picks and chooses which emails she responds to. Hasn't posted midterm grades from over a month ago. Says an assignment is due at one time then takes the assignment down HOURS before, won't let you turn it in once it's taken down. Cannot comprehend student questions. Not sure how she still has a job.
Makes everything harder than it needs to be and doesn't understand English. Wants the class to fail
Very sweet and means well, but can be unclear sometimes. Method of teaching consists of mainly reading off slides. Assignments are managable. Must definitely study outside of class to lock in on topics. Participation is also important. IMO, isn't terrible as most reviews say, but you need to put in the work and be patient with her.
There is another diffeq professor, take his class and not this one. You will not learn. Incredibly hard to follow lectures, inconsistent and off-topic homework and exams, and everything from the syllabus, exam format/time/content, assignments, and due dates get changed on the fly with no warning. Attendance is graded. Stressful and unpredictable.
Don't take her class. She just clicks through slideshows that she probably made thirty years ago and calls it a lecture. Doesn't explain anything well, doesn't like answering questions, very impatient with students. Bad at responding to emails.
I have never met a more unorganized person. She would take assignments down before theyre due in Blackboard, go back and say different dates, and any attempts to discuss things with her, whether by email or in person, didn't make any sense. Her communication was incoherent at times and she was extremely unhelpful.
Changes the syllabus when she wants, gives random inperson assignments that are way harder than what she teaches. Gets mad when you ask questions and punishes the whole class based on her mood. Lectures are easy, but exams are brutal. She blames students for not understanding her awful teaching. RIP if you take her class. Your GPA is COOKED.
Not free A. Hw and Problem Solvings are important. Final and midterm are comprised of easier material in the semester. Most difficult part is she likes to use less common integrals/derivatives. re-learn arctan, cot, sec, all the weird stuff from calc 1 and 2 you forgot. lots of integration by parts. The harder material shows up on problem solving.
The only thing I learned from her class is that she can't teach. Reads off of slides and is incredibly unhelpful over email. Really harsh grading that changes depending on if she likes you or not.
Legit just clicks through slideshows every class AND attendance is mandatory. not accessible thought email. HW takes hours and don't even think she could do her own assignments. I've never seen her solve any problem in class, unless you count a slideshow as writing a problem out.
If I could rate her a zero I would. Not a difficult class, but not an easy A either. you have to teach everything to yourself. If you have good understanding of calc you'll be fine as long as she likes you. Doesn't like when the class asked questions and very rude person.
Avoid if possible if you want to actually learn during lecture. Lectures are a good source of practice problems, but that's it (problem-solving and exam questions are often pulled from lectures or are very similar). Not impossible if you teach yourself (but she might just confuse you even more). Isn't a terrible person, but is a terrible prof.
The reviews saying she allows AI for tests are now outdated - she allowed it for first quiz but everything else was closed book exam conditions. She was extremely inaccessible outside of class, no TAs, no office hours, and bad/annoyed at answering questions. Only passed well bc of extenuating circumstances and gemini AI taught me everything I know.
I took this class 2 years ago. I gained nothing but a grade from the class. Not a single differential equation skill was gained in this class. Not only that, but she calculated my grade wrong (I was supposed to get an A), but refused to change it!! DO.NOT.TAKE.HER.CLASS... her salary is a waste of our tuition money.
Professor Dragonova closed assignments hours before they were due, did not hold office hours, and was inaccessible. Her tests were also far more difficult than anything she taught by a ridiculous degree. She changed her syllabus three times throughout the semester, including the day after the final.
Absolutely not. Completely inaccessible outside of class with no TA or office hours. Homeworks took upwards of 10 hours to complete, often including a majority of content not covered until the day before it's due. The final is tomorrow and still haven't recieved a grade for the midterm. Extremely condescending and stubborn, overall terrible.
