one of the most knowdlegable teacher in the school, a **** load of credentials
smart guy, needs to de-stress, always shaking
very very very smart approchable sexy
Great Guy, does need to de-stress, get's excited over linux.

Probably needs a unix-detox. But I wouldn't take it from anyone else.
Has an excellent grasp of UNIX. Malodorous at times.

Lovely boy
Hate his tests, but he is sexy

Friendly guy, definately knows his stuff, but very difficult to approach for asking questions sometimes.
he knows the unix...but he needs more organization as a teacher ...he has full of stress...easy marker
Not only did he teach, he also makes you learn on your own. Great teacher, one of the best so far.
He makes us learn many things not only in college but also pursue us to attend the seminar which are useful to our courses. (He is cute too)
He is one of the best teacher that I ever have had.
Occasionally difficult to approach. Excellent knowledge of UNIX but should improve his command of LINUX (my opinion only,...)
Didn't find him a very good teacher. Not sure if he's qualifed to teach UNIX let alone anything else.
Good techer, Knows his stuff.
Interesting material. He has a passion for security and hacking. Good prof! Kind of a SkEtCh!
He is an ok teacher. A little nervous at times. And well he's not cute, who thinks that?
neva had him..he helped thro CnsCtynet...knows his stuff..can be a bit boring...but fair with questions on the tests and exam..HAS HIS MOOD SWINGS...be carefull of those
His teaching methods are unsure but may be the result of not knowing the course material.

I always heard of the concept of promoting people to their level of incompetence but I never thought I'd see it.
Good teacher. Definte mood swings. Easy to understand.
Boy, has he ever let himself go! I had him for another course and things have really gone down hill.
I question his knowledge, skills and credentials. He is unable to answer questions and the information he provides is often very simplistic and sometimes wrong.
He seems a little bi-polar but pulls it off most of the time. Too much coffee before class.
Good guy, perhaps a little neurotic. His grandfather was vice-admiral of the Irish navy which is a good thing. Seems to suffer from a chronic case of BO.

An okay teacher, but just doesn't seem to know his stuff.
a serious head case.. not somebody to learn from
Wouldn't want to eat a sandwich in his berth!

Man this guy is a nut, needs to chill out but all in all seems like he really has something to teach.
He knows his stuff, but he really needs to learn how to explain it, and more importantly, he needs to have the wish to explain it.
Professor Austin is lacking in both intelligence and ability. In fact I question the fact that he's an authentic professor. I was under the impression a doctorate was required in order to call yourself that. This course is a sham.
The worst teacher possible! Can not explain anything. Gives vague answers to questions just to get rid of you. Tells lies to minimize his workload. If you possibly can, avoid him.
Excellent professor. I Asked simple questions and received equally simplisitic answers. Somewhat evasive about his qualifications. Often absent during office houts. Who cares - I got a B-!!!
Hey you guays - stop giving Professor Anthony such a hard time. He is great and he even helped me fix my bike. Nice guy and also tells a good joke. Too bad I failed but I would take the course again!
Can't understand the negative commentary - I found him professional and personable. He gets my endorsement.
You need to understand the teacher before you judge them . He is a very knowlagable prof . stop saying**** about him .
his teaching his big bull****..He deserve to live in a bull farm.those who are in austin int322 class are wasted money these comments are for those students who are taking next semister int322,with becareful.don't take this course if he is teaching.he spoiled the reputation of seneca college.
Worst teacher at Seneca (most are fantastic). Might be the worst teacher I've ever had. That being said knows more about linux/apache/perl/networking then anyone I will ever meet. However that does not a good teacher make. Please get a job in industry, your doing more harm then good.
He is a knowledgeable and nice person. If you attend his classes and study regularly, you can learn a lot from him, and you won’t have so much problems. I found him much better than other int322 teacher. I am happy I took int322 with him.
Still fails to accurately identify the colour of the Boat House at Hereford. Can't remember whether he graduated from MIT, Stanford, Princeton or Berkeley. Workmanlike lecturer.

Does not know how to teach.
Terrible teacher with a minimal grasp on the course material. Frankly I'm surprised he's still employed based on the overwhelmingly negative posts on this site. Obviously Seneca is desperate for educators and will take anyone who knows how to turn on a computer.
shocking lack of teaching ability. won't even answer questions about material he's unable to explain properly in the first place. absolutely useless.
whoever wrote the comment below is completely out of touch with reality. mr austin is completely incompetent (even when he is here) and cares nothing about his students. what planet are you living on?
he's just learning ASP.net in INT422 in my class. Stay away from him, i took him last semester and got a C. Hes a lazy little man and will give u lots of multiple choice questions that you could only know if you read and remembered everything in the book. He's also bad at programming.
He has no clue about the course, doesn't know how to teach. If you ask him something, instead of clearing he will confuse you. Stay away from him.
Excellent taste in wine. Highly accomplished whistler. Always ensures that the collars and cuffs match.
I don't what the fuss is all about. Professor Carbuncle is a capable instructor as long as you stay away from his oozing sores.
At least he's better than Jack Wynberg was as I have heard from previous CPA students!

Professor Austin is brillant. He makes a pretty good picket captain as well.

SO THAT’S WHAT YOU THINK OF ME…ERR THE TEACHER..i think he's great
Awesome teacher. Easily my favourite teacher I've had so far. Makes Unix/Linux fun. Gives hard tests, but overall, not too bad.
this guy is ok, just dont piss him off....i watched him flip out at like 3 guys in my lab class cause they were idiots....just be nice to him...
he is a bad human being, so can not be a good teacher, so much anger and pride filled in him
ugh. no help. thinks too highly of himself. credentials?? like none. don't waste your time in his class.
Credentials ? teh guy sets up networks in Mowali or something like that in his spare time. Give me a break. Pain in the butt but good
Professor Austin makes Benny from LA Law seem like a genius.
He is the worst professor that I had seen so far except "Kassim". Be aware of him.He only concerns his paycheck. He is no help(he pretends to help), Class is intersting(Sorry,I am not three years old), Knowledge(I am not a idiot yet). Last word, Seneca gets rid of him for our goods
A roude guy, not qualified to be a professor. No one likes him. Don't forget to view you exams, alway makes mistakes.
Can't organize a coherent lecture to save his life. He's a hopeless muddle.
He is the worst teacher I had meet in my studying life. He taught nothing in class. And he gave students marks according to his mind not according to students' answer.
This Guy has issues.. Someone shoukd send him to therapy. Thinks very high of himself yet has nothing to back this attitude. Seneca should consider getting some better qualified professors. Just because you are a geek does not mean you can teach a computer course.
Not reasonable and clearly has issues. Talks off topic and about himself more than course material. Not recommended.
This guy really didn't teach the class anything. He just directed us to sources of knowledge. The class was easy enough that even though he didn't teach, you could still get an A. Just read the online notes AND GO TO THE WORKSHOPS!! That's where I learned everything i know about Perl.
I disagree with what these people say. Yes, he can be a real jerk. But when he talks to alone, he is good. His bad side is mean, his good side is l33t
Anthony, overall, is a good guy. Looking at the ratings on this site, it seems he took a turn around 05-06 and for whatever reason, you need to look at reviews back then to know he is a good prof. His drinking problems should be irrelevant as his student. Yes, it can affect you, but if you get this far, you got to teach yourself by then.
He is a very cool guy. He cares about his students and also wants them us to grow intellectually. He tries as much as he can to create a passion in his students for the course and beyond it by bring out that hidden creativity in all of us.
Appropriate that his initials are A.A., I think that says it all. Avoid him at all costs or he might breathe on you.
He takes advantage of that he is teaching a mandatory class. I am sure that if INT322 wasn't a required one most of students wouldn't take that course just because he is the instructor. He is ABSOLUTELY USELESS in Helpfulness category. He is a self-respected, unfriendly, one of the worst teacher at Seneca. And a bad marker.
Based on what I've expereinced in his class so far I can only assume he got his degree from clown college. For god's sake he thinks that a Kernel is the person who started Kentucky Fried Chicken. Spends too much time in class bragging about being a picket captain (whatever that is). Avoid if possible.
No problems. Great teacher. Learned in his class, thou always room for improvement.
Two things: 1. I didn't know Seneca allows monkeys to teach people, and 2. I didn't know monkeys drank. Totally useless as an instructor, how can he continue to be allowed to teach???
should of dropped when i could...thank god he not teaching int322 anymore
The Lectures were bad. Only gave us past resources and old power points. He is a good guy but he cant teach and cant organize himself reliably.
Cant teach... his lectures are never clear, Labs are hard to understand, Comes to class sometimes unprepared, such as lectures and examples. Avoid him at all costs!
usually drink, obsessed with Perl and avoided teaching PHP completely. he grades based on his current emotions some people got an A on their last assignment because he was tired of marking assignment and said people should thank him for being easy on them while others lost marks for adding features while stepping out of the box
Looks are deceiving, in a good way. Prof. Austin seems like a very difficult professor, but this is untrue. He teaches in a way that encourages the students to want to learn the material. Mind you, some things are difficult to learn completely, but if you know what you're up against and apply yourself properly, any student will succeed.
He does not know the subject matter well, and he can't even explain the things that he DOES know. He also likes to tell us how lucky we are to have him as a teacher... strongly suggest avoiding him if you can.
It was a disaster to take his class. He is absolutely useless. Always drank even in class, teaching without any points, lap and assignments are not related to his teaching. If you want to study php all by yourself, you can take it. Otherwise do not take his course.
Ask anyone who has taken 322 with Anthony and they'll tell you more or less the same thing; this man's lectures are an absolute joke, no exaggeration. He rambles about all sorts of stuff unrelated to the subject matter and you won't learn a thing. Expect to self-teach yourself all the course material. He also takes forever to mark anything.
Seemed to me lazy, not competent, not even that honest, arrogant and not an IT professional generally speaking
In some cases reminds me, likely just me, of this wikipedia definition: a script kiddie [..] are individuals who use scripts or programs developed by others to attack computer systems [..] who lack the ability to write sophisticated hacking programs or exploits on their own, and that their objective is to try to impress their friends
Anthony is the teacher I remember most from Seneca. Maybe not the best at spoon-feeding you but INT322 is an easy course and he is an interesting guy.
Unique mix of lack of specific knowledge and misleading information. the worst teacher i have seen in my whole life.
Boring. Lack of energy. Making me sleepy. he lets student down. Had better don't choose his course.
He may a good teacher if you good as self-study. His lecture is too long and his voice will make me feel sleepy (espeacially when I have the 8:00 am class). Many students said that he didn't helpful because he doesn't show how to do it clearly. Usually don't reply your email.
EXACTLY: Unique mix of lack of specific knowledge and misleading information. the worst teacher i have seen in my whole life. lack of specific knowledge: He can't your question clearly most time: TA in the Lab class is far more better than him. lack of specific knowledge: He said : the linux utility "awk" acctually modify the file , a Joke!!!
Not very enthusiastic about teaching, and difficult to pay attention to due to the lack of enthusiasm. Expects everyone to remember everything he says in the lecture, even if he mentions it only once. He is not approachable: one time a student asked him a question and he threatened to fail him for asking a fairly reasonable question.
I have literally learned nothing from his class and just learned from youtubing topic of the week. True story.
In his class be ready to sleep because of he can spend 1 hour to just tell you specific sentence and this sentence going to full of with "Aaaaggh, yes we gonna do aaagh"
Talks in a quiet monotone voice and if you sit at the back you can forget about seeing anything on his slides. Very boring lectures. He never uses the Blackboard system to post grades. The only upside is that he doesn't care about time limits in class tests.
He is not a tough grader, the quizzes are not difficult, also keep an eye on him when he talks about tests, because he will give some helpful tips. The topic is not that hard, but it takes time to learn and memorize things. He is not a helpful professor so be ready to work on your own.
Y'all hear something?
