Professor Brickhouse is fair, straight forward, and down to earth. His class is enjoyable because he is knowledgable and is able to motivate his students.

Anothy is great guy, understanding and knowledgable, as time goes on his teaching style will be refined. Ask questions and participate, you'll learn and he'll be flexible.

Yes yes he can be nice etc etc but man the dude should relax. That's what you get for taking a young professor. They have all this energy to make sure you are actually learning.

Great teacher. Very fair but will not hand you your grade. Read the book before coming to class and read the power points after class. I found it helpful to take notes in my textbook. Participate, ask questions, and you will be fine.

He's a very good professor. Although the class is challenging, you learn alot. Definately got my $ worth out of this class. If you're not going to put forth the effort, don't waste your time/money. If you are, you'll get alot out of this class.

Interesting Class. Tests are easy as long as you study the ppt slides and read the book. The group project at the end requires a lot of time and effort. Great class overall.

No tricks. Perform your responsibilities as a student, take&study notes & readings and you will definitely get an A. He's always welcoming students to discuss ANY problem in his office.

Professor is very clear when it comes to lecture. He gives out a review sheet to tell you the areas that you should focus on. His tests are straight forward as long as you read the textbook when you study. He is extremely helpful and approachable .

He always receives students in his office and helps/ motivates if you are improving your grades. His exams should have a revision.

Took him for accident investigation. Attendence is manditory and tests are very challenging but this guy knows his stuff and makes every class enjoyable. Might be the best clas I have taken at ERAU but I also put in the most effort. Take him if you are willing to work hard, if not you will drown. I would take this class over in a heartbeat! Thanks

This professor knows his stuff, yes his tests are challenging but if you pay attention in class and study you will do good in his class. He's always willing to help if you put in the effort.. One of the best classes/teachers i have had at ERAU.. Definitely worth the money!

This review is about Prof. Brickhouse's TA's. Not only are they rude, but they're egotistical and stand so high up on their pedestal that not even Brickhouse can outshine their criticism. They highlight your flaws, not the hard work you've done. It's unprofessional and unlike anything I've seen in any other department. Dear TA's, have some respect.

Prof. Brickhouse has an excellent background and experience. His class is not easy. In fact, challenging. Pay attention when he teaches, take notes, review ppts, read the book, and review all his study guides! In this class you learn and work hard to earn your grade while in others you don't!

Take any of his SF 300 series classes and you are going to do a lot of work! You are going to have to go to class, pay attention to detail and you are going to have to work in a group. This man knows more about the subject he teaches than most. Those that are whining are the ones who don't like to do the work. You know the material when you're done

He is an awesome guy, I would love to have a beer with him but you better have plenty of time to dedicate to his class. You will work your tail off. The tests are by no means easy, he doesn't curve!

If you're lazy, DO NOT TAKE any of his courses, if you're an overachiever, PERFECT professor for you, if you're in-between like me, pick one and know you'll have to work HARD for a say high C or B, maybe A if you take him.

Brickhouse classes are not for slackers. Read the chapters, pay attention and take notes, and most importantly pay attention to what he has to say about the group projects. You will learn a lot if you do it right.

Clearly explains the course guidelines and rules on the first day. Gives you all the info that you need it is on you to study. If you slack off your grade will reflect it. One of the best teachers though for safety.

He is a dedicated lecturer to his field of expertise and shows it through his lectures. He involves the class and often interact with the students. Crystal-clear information about when things are due and what he is looking for. Gives a good test review. His projects can be demanding, especially if you hate group projects, but you learn so much.

Don't get me wrong, Mr. Brickhouse is really nice person himself, interesting to talk with and with an funny southern accent. His classes, though, are pretty tough. He expects you to memorize every single detail from the PPT and is proud to say the class grade average has never been over 70%.

If you are a slacker don't even bother. If you are a slacker, why are you here to begin with? He is well connected in the industry and if you put the work in he will notice. He's a tough grader, and sometimes the objective isn't clear, but a quick trip to his office will usually clear things up. The final exam is cumulative in 210 so be prepare

he is one of the best at ERAU, very clear and straight forward. his test are easy if you pay attention and study fro the slides. test format is part True or False, multi-choieces, listing and short answers. Note the third and last test before the final exam is 10Q's all short answers. and you have a subject brief 10 min presentation.

Professor Brickhouse is a very direct and straight forward teacher. Tells you everything you need to know for the test in his lectures. He's a tough grader on his tests though so you really have to know the material. Funny guy, and can be really light hearted but also knows when to get down to business.

Pay attention in class. Testable material is mostly given during the lecture, some come from the slides. He gives great review sheets before tests.

Easiest A ever! It is an exact repeat of AS 309: Aerodynamics, and AS 310: Aircraft Performance but taught from an investigator POV. Tests are based straight from the PowerPoints. If you get an "A" on every single test throughout the semester, you will be exempt from taking the Final exam, and will receive a 100 for it. Highly recommend for SF 309.

Mr. Brickhouse is incredible in many ways. His grading criteria may be tough, but it is fair and he expects students to perform to the expectations of a good school. His classes are geared towards those who want to REALLY learn and participate. My work and experiences in his classes will also help exemplify my resume as well.

Very strict attendance policy and very tough grader, but if you go to office hours and discuss he will hear you out and usually give you back some points or give some leeway. Although he's understanding, his class requires a LOT of attention and commitment. He has a lot of knowledge - show him you are interested, put in work, you will see benefits.

Def worth your time if youre serious about learning

Prof Brickhouse is a really tough instructor. ESPECIALLY for the final project. That project will kick your butt, even if you're a 4.0 student. His tests are decently hard, but if you use his study guides, you will do fine. Studying is mandatory to do well. Email or go to office hours for questions because he is really helpful to students who care!

You're only graded on three tests and a project, but the none of them are too difficult. He gives study guides. Don't bother buying the textbook, it's a waste of money and not used at all. The project could have been better explained, it was confusing to figure out criteria and what's expected. Overall a really enjoyable class.

Your grade comes from 3 tests and 1 group project. The tests are mildly difficult and the project is also pretty difficult. This class consumes a lot of time for studying and the group project. That being said, the subject matter is extremely interesting and this class is only offered at a few universities in the world. Lots of math!

Brickhouse is a hit or miss for most students. Mostly because he makes you work for your grade (which is how it should be). He doesn't have homework, but if he asks you to read something for class READ IT! STUDY! Understand this class you earn your credits, this isn't (as well as the rest of his classes) a walk in the park! However he is awesome!!!

Listen to everything he says in a lecture. Every little thing will be on the test, even the little tangents he goes off on.

Lays out very plainly what you need to do to succeed in his class. If you put in the effort, you'll do well.

Professor brickhouse is a solid choice for SF210. He is vey knowledgeable on anything aviation safety. Even though I did not receive a strong grade in his class, I take responsibility for that. Professor Brickhouse is an extremely fair grader. If you put in the work and read ahead, you'll do fine.

Great professor, very personable with interesting lectures. For this course there are a lot of guest speakers from throughout the aviation industry and they are all very interesting to listen to and have great stories. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE OUT IN CLASS!

MASTERS: Funny and wants you to interact with him. He might be hard on certain things and expects you to participate, attend, be attentive, and follow his guidelines. Presentations - do your homework efficiently since he'd love to ask you challenging questions at the end. Follow what he asks for, and you can score A / A+.

All tests were short response using bullet points and the checklist he gives you beforehand covers 90% of what was tested. There was a final presentation which was an easy A if you did real research and cited sources. Guest lectures were fantastic. Difficult to get below B if you show up and listen in class.

As long as you show up to class, participate in lectures, and take good notes, you should do perfectly fine. Fair warning, Professor Brickhouse is old school. No electronics during class and all tests are short-response. (also he does read RateMyProfessor haha. Hi Professor Brickhouse!!!)

Great professor, keeps you engaged in the topics regardless of background knowledge. All information in lectures will be tested upon; 10 short answer questions. Tests ask for bulleted answers for conciseness. If you pay attention and take good notes you'll be just fine. Only 3 tests and final presentation for overall grade. No phones/laptops!

Professor Brickhouse is amazing. He knows his stuff absolutely and can explain it in ways that make it palatable to the average Joe. No devices in the classroom leads to great focus and note taking. Tests are hard but fair. Love this guy

He is the hardest professor, I have respect for him because of the amount of experience he has, and you do actually learn from the lectures, put in the work, and prepare before class, and you will be good to go.

Super knowledgeable guy and I've learned more from him than perhaps any other class. Tests are difficult but reasonable if you read the book and listen in class. Group project grading is vague and he will not look over your work before you submit. He also shows clear bias for certain students and is overall not a very pleasant person to deal with.

Professor Brickhouse keeps the class engaging despite the technical subject matter. Avoid phones and laptops - exams are short-answer only. To succeed, take diligent notes and use Unstuck study alongside the course materials. Guest speakers add valuable industry insights.

As someone who struggles with exams his classes are hard because of your grades only being 3 exams and a project. Other than that his experience is cool and he's knowledgeable.

Amazing professor! His teaching style is clear, organized, and engaging. He makes even difficult topics easy to understand and is always willing to help. You can see his passion and expertise in every lesson. I truly learned a lot and highly recommend taking his classes.
