I have struggled with math many years and failed math 083 before and this teacher is amazing.. he has patience and takes the time to teach each indiviual and i have never had an A in math ever! i recommend this teacher to everyone who struggles in math.. he really works very hard and you can tell he just enjoys his job :)

For me this was a hard class because I HATE math, but Mr. Calise was amazing. He made it fun and interesting you hardly knew you were doing math. If it wasn't for him I probably would have gotten a 30% in this class. If you need Math 153 he is the professor you need.

Past math teachers: irrational yet smug Mr. Spocks who used as many words as possible to obfuscate the point to better dazzle you with symbols and formulas. Mr. Calise shuts that game down. I have deployed to war zones 4 times yet never felt the nerves I feel before a math exam. Now I have a renewed interest in math and science. Greatful.

This class was as good as a College Algebra class could get. The material was not the most exciting but he made it easy to understand and at least explained why it was useful and important. The tests were very fair and he did a great job of making sure the class was ready for an exam. Great Professor and a very down to earth guy.

I am glad I stayed in this class even though I suck at math, he made it easy to understand and broke it down to my level. You could tell he was very smart but he did not try over complicate things. He was funny and made class fun, and always challenged you to think with puzzles as extra credit, I will be taking his class again for Math 153!

This was a self paced class but he was so helpful, the textbook did not explain things that well at all, but Prof. Calise simplified things to the point it seemed so easy. I would have done better if I came to class more often since it was a self paced class I fell behind and if it wasn't for this professor I would have failed.

He is fantastic. I literally cannot say enough good things about him. Doesn't make you buy the book (it's a waste of money). Teaches you interesting things! Lots of real world applications for statistics. I adored this class, and if I could take every math class I ever needed with him, I would. Do yourself a favor and take his class!!

This class was the most FUN I have ever had in any class I have ever taken. This was a difficult class, it was my 3rd time taking it. I will say I would have probably only have taken it once if I had Mr. Calise first he made the class seem so easy compared to the other professors I had. Taking his class is the only smart choice if you need Math 083.

Mr Calise is the best teacher I have ever had. He teaches everything thoroughly and clearly. I believe the only way you will fail this class is if you are lazy. If you feel lost he also has a website with a ton of power points and practice worksheets. He also offers extra credit and dropped our lowest homework grade. DON'T buy the book.

Professor Calise was easy to understand, and a good mix of tough but understanding when it came to tests. My only complaint is that he didn't stick to self-stated grading deadlines. Anthony was a great teacher! He was also nice to talk to. Statistics was NOT easy, but he really was there to help. I went to him very often before class would start to go over a bunch of questions, etc and he was always willing to help. He is very patient and explains things well. If you have to take statistics I would highly recommend Anthony.

Professor Calise was my professor for a Pre-Algebra course. The course was taken as a refresher course before I was to begin my major math course for my intended major. His teaching style is so versatile I love it. He taught you how to understand the math and not just complete the problem and taught you different ways to get the answer.

Prof. Calise was very helpful during his office hours and put in a lot of time to make sure I understood the material. He is super nice and very easy to talk to. I definitely wish I had more professors like him. (Anthony if you read this, I want to say THANK YOU!!!)

I took this class last semester and it wasn't that bad, I was alright in Algebra in high school so it was very similar to a lot of stuff I did in Algebra 2. But Mr. Calise was very helpful in explaining things in a way that was easy to understand. I am glad I had his class and look forward to taking his Math153 class next semester.

This was my favorite class I have taken at CCBC and I do not usually like math, this professor is great.

It was a long Saturday class almost 4.5 hours, but It didn't always feel that bad. He was kind of funny and broke up the lesson with a lot of short videos and stories relevant to the material. Overall I wish I took the shorter class two days a week but Calise was really good.

I really like this professor, he is so kind and willing to help his students. Just focus u will pass. He is there to walk you through everything. His exams are the same as his practice worksheet. Just study and ask him questions if you don't know.

Statistics was a lot of fun, Mr. C gave you lots of examples as to why it is used and really made you understand the material. It was not the easiest class, but I can not imagine what it would have been like without him.

He really cares about you learning, does not just give you a grade. He was really helpful and gave numerous examples of how and why what we were doing was important and relevant. I did fail the class the first time I took it with him, but then took it again with him and got a B. It definitely was not his fault I failed the first time.

Not a lot of graded assignments which I liked but make sure you pay attention and asked questions if you are lost or stuck. He is really patient and always tries to explain things in a different way if you are lost. Also take advantage of his office hour if you need help. Great all around professor.

i must say i've never understood math as much as i did in his class. he makes math simple, fun and easy. he does not focus on quizzes and homeworks much as long as students understand everything. you only need to put your efforts in the tests in order to pass the class.

Best professor I ever had, he really explains things so clearly and also tells you why its important so you know the answer to that question when will I ever use this. Funny jokes and stories made the almost 4 hour lecture go by pretty quickly. Loved this class and loved the professor even more!

Best professor I have ever had, Mr. Anthony really cared about what we learned and made sure we knew the material and also knew why we were learning it. MANY MANY real world applications used in class which I loved because it actually made sense, he is funny and I can't wait to take another class with him soon.

Mr Calise is hands down THE BEST math teacher Ive ever had. I am a retunring adult student and did not remember anything from 16 years ago when I took alegrba. By the time I finished Mr. Calise class I was an A student was able to help others. He allows extra credit and explains things so easily that you catch on more quickly than usual.

Mr. Anthony is absolutely the best professor there is. He makes things so easy to understand and always explains why it is or isnt that important. He gave many real world example and is very funny and approachable. Wish he was teaching another section of 153 his classes fill up quick. Please let someone drop.

This was my favorite class taken at CCBC Mr.C definitely made this class interesting and made me realize why I needed Statistics. Who would have known I've been mislead by consumers my whole life. This class will help you understand the world around you.

Very interesting class, the content was a little difficult but Profesor Calise made it easier to understand. He was very funny and knew how to break down the topics so they were easy to understand. The exams were all very similar to the practice exams he gave out and reviewed. I would definitely take another class with him.

This was an amazing class and even a better professor Professor Calise was very funny and always made the material seem relevant even if it didn't directly apply to my major. This was definitely the class where I learned the most and really will help me understand and make better decision in the future. HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!

Mr. Calise is a straight forward teacher. Pay attention and you will pass with an A. Everything is simplified so you shouldn't have to decipher the things you need to know from what you don't.

Professor Anthony was the besrt, he gave great practice and reviews and was always available for office hours and help. He knew how to explain things so you could understand, if you cant pass his class there probably isnt much hope (haha) looking forward to taking his Math 153 class and learn to count cards, he does magic too , loved this guy!!

So lets get one thing straight, I HATE MATH. I think I'm pretty smart, but when it comes to math I have always struggled. Prof. Calise is smart, funny, and always willing to answer questions and go over material until you get it. If you go to class and put in the work in you can make it through the class. He is by far the best college math prof.

This was a very interesting class and Prof. C made it even more interesting. I am not a big fan of math but this wasn't really a math class. He explained things so well and really broke down the information with some great relateable analogies. Loved this class thanks to Prof. C!!!!!!

This guy is hands down the BEST statistics professor in the entire universe. He makes a difficult subject EASY! He is funny and so caring! Dont let others scare you away with claims like, all statistics classes are impossible to pass because, seriously, with this professor not only will you pass but you will learn so much w/o even realizing it!

AMAZING!!!!!! Wish I could take more of his classes, I haven't been in school for a few (many) years and more people like Mr. Calise would have really made a difference in what I did earlier in my career. Really explains the importance of everything and breaks things down so well, even I understood. Funny and Caring, you have to take his class.

He has tons of experience in so many different classrooms that he has really honed in on what works. REALLY nice, funny, approachable. Makes it very clear what content to know for tests. CCBC is the luckiest school ever for having this guy! He is the best professor Ive ever had. He is so good at explaining the material and wont leave it until everyone understands. The homework & projects are easy, the tests are easy as well. Only negative is night class, but take what you can get with a gem like this!!

Best Math Professor ! If you hate math or aren't good at it, this is your guy. Professor Calise, gives great lectures. He breaks everything down for you. I always felt prepared for the exams. He gives feedback and comes to class early and stays after if anyone has questions. I highly recommend. He makes Math interesting.

Easiest math class you will ever take. Seems to be slow to grade due to his extremely busy worklife (80+ hours/wk).

Third time taking Statistics, I wish i had him the first time everything we did made sense and he actually explains why it is useful with many great and sometimes funny examples(stories). Clear expectations and tons of practice, he is how all professors should be. THANK YOU!!!!!

Lectures were awesome ever day in class, everything thing we did made sense and was explained why it was useful and how it could benefit you. I literally would take any class he was teaching if I had the time, I wish he was teaching something next semester that I didn't already take. Prof. Calise is without question the best professor at CCBC.

Mr. Calise did a great job explaining the problems and why it was important to know how to do it. He also explained many basic concepts in a very simple way to understand, I am now able to help my 4th grader with math, hah!

I really wish he was teaching math082 he is super, I always hated math but he made me understand things I struggled with for years. I actually understand why I need to know this stuff and I can see how it is all just the same with more steps. Funny stories helped make connections with math steps and memorizing facts. He is the best!

I have struggled with math forever but prof calise made this class interesting and much easier to understand then when I took it a long time ago. I really think every single class had something relatable in it and that really helped me understand how to explain my answers. If you need math 153 you have to take his class.

Great and fun lectures, he really made me enjoy statistics. Was readily available outside of class to offer help and guidance, he really cared about what you learned and not just a grade.

I love his class, if I could, I would take this class again. Professor Calise explains its so clear. I could believe that I understand and learn so much from his class. He is very nice too. He responds to emails in 1-2 days!

I took professor Cailse many semesters ago and always meant to do this rating. He is an amazing professor, he knows his stuff and he is so helpful. He is kind and willing to help you do your best, his lectures are amazing. If you show up, pay attention, and do the work you will succeed in this class.

Prof Calise was terrific, he was very easy to talk to and made things easy to understand. He was also very patient and explained things a few times when many people were having a hard time. Funny stories and made a 4 hour lecture much more "fun" (as fun as a 4 hour lecture can be hah)

Professor Calise was amazing, I wish all professors were like him. He was very approachable and available for help regularly. I am not quite sure how he does it. He works non-stop and you can tell he loves it, which makes things so much easier to understand and follow along. A++++++ wish I could take his class again.

He make sure everyone understands the concepts . He doesn't assign homework like that and he doesn't call on people to answer problems unless they volunteer.The practice exams are harder than the actual exams so that helps greatly! He's easy going and really love teaching please take his course if you struggle with math!the other reviews are right

There are no words to sum up how GREAT this Professor is! I developed a phobia about math and had severe anxiety going into 082. I had previously failed 081,3X'S until I met another professor who was good but did not teach 082 that semester. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND PROFESSOR CALISE! He made me fall in love with math again. DONT HESISTATE TAKE HIM NOW!

I took him my first semester at ccbc and loved him. He made math 081 seem like a breeze. Its not like most teachers that teach from a book, he make it make sense in seem interesting. This by far my favorite math teacher.

Professor Calise makes math seem easy. He explains concepts clearly and makes the class engaging. Using Unstuck AI and the free textbook helped me prepare for tests.

First off, I absolutely hate math. It took me years to go back to school because I dreaded the math classes. Professor Calise changed that for me. Not only did I succeed and actually UNDERSTAND math, but he was encouraging to all of us and always available if we needed him. If possible, I would take him for every Math class I have to take. 100%

Professor calise was amazing. This is the first time I actually understood math in my life. He explains things so that they are easy and I love all the different colored chalk he uses it makes it easy to follow along and take notes. Good stories and connections to why we actually need to know this stuff. Don't take the class with anyone else.
