Great instructor, is very thorough, explains math in simple terms. Willing to work with each student and cares about what he does. Definitely would take his classes again!

The profesor is very helpful. He gives study guides before every test and the tests are just like the study guides. This class is an easy A if you show up to class. He drops your lowest test score too. His lectures are straight forward and he is a very funny profesor. Good sense of humor.

He is a great teacher. His lectures are very clear and he gives good examples. He allows you to ask questions/correct him without fear of him getting upset. He gave HW for every section, but only like 10 problems. Less than 20 mins. work. Drops lowest test score. He gives a study guide for each test exactly like the test. Would def. take again.

Great professor! This class is challenging but he makes it do-able. Take him if you want to pass this class! In comparison to other professor's he doesn't overwhelm you with homework. He's kind enough to give out practice exams for each chapter which mirror what will be on the test - no surprises. Study, do the HW, you should do well!

Mr. Castro is an exceptional teacher. He makes sure every student understands the material and he even goes to the trouble of explaining what you use it for in real life. I actually enjoyed the class and did really well. Show up and do the homework and you will definitely learn math.

Mr. Castro is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure of having at SBVC. He actually applies his math to real world problems. If you actually want to enjoy learning math, take Mr. Castro. I started taking him with 962, and am sticking with him through 095. I wish more teachers would learn to teach like him.

Professor Castro is one of the best instructors I've ever had. He explains things clearly, and makes sure to repeat things that you have questions on. His study guides really helped on the exams. He is also organized and grades things on time. I've always struggled with math, but I finally understand these concepts!

Professor Castro, is an awesome teacher he makes sure you understand the material before moving on. Homework matters, if you do your homework it will raise your grade a full letter grade. So be prepared to listen and ask questions he will answer them with no hesitation.

This teacher is so great! He is very nice and gives great explanation. He dose whatever he can to help you understand! You can miss class and just show up for the test if you want. And his work is easy but of course my math is low so not sure how his other classes are but i am for sure taking him AGAIN! :)

Professor Castro explains clear and in detail the material to be covered each lecture, he has his own way of teaching which makes it easier to understand. Exams are also easy to follow but must attend class not to get lost with the problems. I highly recommend him for Statistics class

Anthony Castro is a great professor. He really is there for his students, I didn't really know what to expect because stats is not a easy class. However, Castro made it very understanding and didn't overload us with homework, which really made the course less stressful. Professor Castro is the teacher to take for statistics. I am good at math but I suck at word problems and you know thats all you do in stats. However, I managed to get good grades on his Exams and get A's on all the exams. He is very helpful and you do his homework in class and also on exams he lets you use the homework even on the final.

He is a very awesome professor. Straight forward. Makes the class enjoyable and makes sure you understand the material. The homework is very accurate to what we do in class and what will be on the exams. I highly recommend his class.

Great instructor! He tries his best to keep you engaged with the material which was very appreciated by me since I took his class in the evening. He enjoys applying the math you learn in lecture to real world application. Only warning is that you will only have 8 grades: 4-exams and 4-homework. Don't blow off the homework, it almost cost me an A.

Castro is few of the instructors at Valley that are very caring and respected. Math has never been my strongest subjects but with Anthony its very easy to understand it. He is very passionate about his lectures and if you don't understan he will explain until you get it or can meet at his office hours for extra help. Have taken him for all my math.

Was completely terrified of taking a math class after three years but I'm so glad I chose Professor Castro. He's super knowledgeable, such a sweetheart, wants you to succceed and his teaching methods are straight forward. He doesn't bombard you with homework and even with mine being a summer class, I didn't feel overwhelmed. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Anthony Castro is one of the best professors I have ever taken, his teaching style is clear and easy to understand (even for people not used to math), his grading is very clear and gives extra credit where it is due. However the most admirable quality that he has, is that he actually cares about every single one of his students.

Took this class for statistics and passed with 1 point over the maximum amount. He wrote his own lectures and homework for the entire semester because he didn't like how expensive the stats book is. He would lecture, then give time for homework at the end of class. Not only that, but he treats you like an equal, not like someone less than you.

We didn't need to buy the book and he actually writes out the notes for us. You print the notes and HW each chapter and do your homework in class. He is easy going with attendance but since the material itself is a little difficult you don't want to skip a day. He really cares about his students. Plus he's pretty handsome.

This man is awesome , convenient , lots of hw but its because he wants to understand . If you are average , ponderous, or rapid learner he is a great teacher for all. and gives extra credit for picking up Halloween candy in his office.

Gives out pop quizzes but always hints out the date and topic. uses a whiteboard and works on problems with us. suggested homework problems but it's not graded. (gradequiz and exams only). took him for calc 2, 100% recommend

He is one of the best instructors here. Always makes sure you understand the lecture,and if you have any questions,he explains it to you with different examples,until you get it. His tests are fairly easy,but he is a very tough grader,checks every single detail on the test.

I have been afraid of math for a long time so I was always refusing to take math until. I met profesor Castro. I am a student who is dyslexic and have many other learning disabilities, but since I have taken Castro he has help me to learn how to love math even though I still have hard time he is always open to helping the students understand.

Professor Castro is by far the BEST professor I've had. He is funny,caring, and very helpful. He makes stats easy, interesting, and really clear to understand but kinda lectures fast. His test and final are just like the study guides. I totally recommend taking him you won't regret it.

Castro is the best Math instructor at Valley college i passed 942 with a B, 952 with an A and 090 with an A. I hard a hard time understanding math before Castro. When people say; you don't understand i don't get math and i never will, you can teach me as many times as you want and ill forget or wont get it. That was me too and look at me now).

I took Castro for differential equations and he is an amazing professor, he really makes you understand the lesson and wants you to understand. He'll give many different examples and doesn't mind if he has to repeat it until everyone understands. I would definitely recommend him.

Castro made transition to online classes very smooth. Lectures were very easy to follow, he writes his owns notes to apply math to real life and prepares his students for University. I feel like if you watch the videos and put a little bit of effort you can get a good grade in this class. Realistically this class prepares you for university.

Professor Castro is such an amazing professor. I took him online due to COVID for the summer, his lectures are straight to the point, he explains what is important, and is very clear. I enjoyed his online class, I will admit I was a little scared taking Stats online because I am not a math person, but he really made it so easy to understand.

I took Professor Castro during COVID-19, fall 2020 online. HE IS THE BEST. Go to his office hours. He takes his time to explain, he is caring, and you learn a lot from his video lectures. I was scared of taking Multivariable Calc but he made it make sense, fun, applicable. HW was a good amount to supplement tests. 4 exams. 2-3 sections HW per week

Loved this professor. I was nervous about taking math online. He has recorded lectured which aid in viewing them on your own time. His homework is created by him. You will need to print and turn in. Tests are also made. Same as homework. It was extremely easy. Watch lectures and do your work. You will get an A. Has meetings if help is needed.

I took professor Castro in the Spring of 2019. Best decision I ever made. From the start I was learning and retaining all the material because he has a smooth method of teaching and if you don't understand something he will clarify. He will dismiss class early but stays until the end if anyone wants to stay and ask questions or needs extra help.

Barely passed with an A but trust me TAKE ALL YOUR MATH IN SBVC WITH HIM. 4 Exams, 1 final, 7 chapters (roughly 1-3 HW assignments per chapter). Drops the lowest test. One of the best professors Ive had, especially online. He always provided video lectures that were easy to understand as well as notes for each chapter. The video lectures were around 30-40 minutes long but they really helped me understand the material. Tests were also very simple as long as you watched the lectures.

Professor Castro's MATH108 class was a breeze! With engaging video lectures and well-structured homework, even a math-phobe like me was able to ace the exams. unstuck ai was also super helpful for quick concept reviews.

His slides and YouTube channel are direct and to the point. Very helpful in understanding the material and uses helpful life examples that demonstrate the subject with finances and nursing. A couple assignments due every Sunday that are 20 questions the most for each assignment and the usual rate of exams, like 3 or 4. Great Professor.
