Highly recommended! I really did improve my public speaking abilities. I now can talk to a crowd with no worries. Long as you show up to class and do your work, you should do great. There were a total of 10 speeches, most of them easy. Great professor, He really cares about developing his students.Very approachable and willassist in any waypossible

This review is for Anthony Damico; took him for SP10 now COMM10. If you arent good at speaking in front of a crowd, DO NOT take this class. The majority of your grade will come from your ability to perform your speeches and incorporate the feedback provided. He requires you to do pointless journals & 2 easy group tests. You won't need the text book

Professor Damico is a great teacher, he really cares about improving his students' skills in speaking. I took his debate class and was challenged throughout the school semester to think critically. The class could be challenging at times, but he is a very understanding grader. Would definitely recommend.

Professor Damico is a great teacher. He is inspiring in his hands-on, learn by doing type teaching style. A lot of times it seemed as though we were learning so many aspects and techniques of debate without even realizing it because he took issues that mattered to us and had us do debates on them.He tailored subjects to us and made class enjoyable

I was not exited about taking a speech class because I don't like speaking in front of a class but this class was fun. The topics were interesting and easy. He grades on individual progress as a speaker not on whether you won our debate or not. Great teacher!

Mr. Damico is a great professor. While his rules are a bit tough like attendance and tons of long unneeded breaks, class was fun and eventful. He grades accurate and if you have a problem he will allow you to do a change grade request. Cool class, especially if you have loud and opinionated peers. :-) thumbs up Mr. Damico

Professor Damico's teaching method is great. I like that he would start the class by providing a "Food for Thought" message. Always very interesting topics. He is very intune with the class and the classmates. Professor is very approachable and always available through email. I really enjoyed this class and would recommended.

Really love debating, and really loved the class. It's great to have a teacher who actually cares about what they teach and cares about their students. Don't expect to just be arguing during debates, but rather thinking and preparing organized thoughts. Class was excellent and Damico made me want to show up to class on a Friday morning.

Professor Damico was a great teacher. When I first saw him he looked so young, but his intelligence level is very high knows his stuff. I took him on a Saturday, it was tough getting up, but once you get there you wake up because he makes the class interesting. He is approachable and anyone who is interested in taking A & D should take him.

This class is interactive, fun and helpful for any field. I really looked for to going to this class every week. Mr. Damico is fair and will provide feedback after each debate. This is the real deal class. If you are interested in learning take his class. Attendance is mandatory.

Professor Dominico is very fair in grading overall. But, you do not want to debate against him though so have a good partner!! he says he'll go easy on you but shows no mercy and he thrashes your plan. Nonetheless, it was a great class even though i am a master debator, the format is tough. still recommend to take his class!

Mr. Damico is an excellent professor. He is very knowledgeable in his field and effortlessly conveys his wisdom throughout the class. On top of that he's very "down to earth".

He ran an amazing class, and kept an accepting environment. He didn't grade based off of our natural abilities, instead he graded on our improvement. He made this class incredibly fun.

Domico is a great teacher. Show up to class. Don't use your cell phone (he'll do cell phone checks to make sure no one has it on) and be prepared. Watch a lot of YouTube debates and did many discussions. Fun class.

His class was very fun and easy. Explains exactly what he wants for the speeches. This is the guy to take! No midterms just "quiz games" which are like jeopardy with the the class.

He is by far so easy ! The debates might intimidate you at first but so far i have earned an A in all my debates!

Great teacher! Very clear, if you read the prompts carefully and follow directions you will receive high scores. I learned so much from this class and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!

Awesome Prof.! He is an amazing person and helps you out so much. Lots of speeches, but with a great, and clear format that he gives you in detail. Very easy to get an A. Just try your best, and you will get it. No exams, or quizzes :D Just quiz games where you compete for extra credit.

Cool dude, the class was easy for me since I'm a good public speaker. He always says he's a hipster, puts stickers on papers he gives back, and tries to be funny.

For a summer class, I thought this class was going to be a drag but Prof. Damico made it fun and taught me a lot in the public speaking spectrum. Overall a great young teacher.

I left the class feeling very comfortable with public speaking. All of the speeches addressed a different topic and it really helped to learn to organize thoughts. He is a funny teacher and there are a few extra credit opportunities throughout the year. Put in the effort and you'll likely get an A.

Great professor. I had him for Comm 60, Spring 2015. Tips: do the assignments he gives (reflections, research, debate cases) and follow any feedback he gives. He pretty much spells out how to do everything on his website for the class. No surprises on grading, just do the work, do well on the speeches, and show up to class.

Professor Damico was awesome! Took him for summer semester and we crammed a lot in during that time. Although this is an argumentation and debate class, you will become a better public speaker. Material is understandable. You don't have to win the debates, but if you put in the effort in your written work and in the presentation you will do well.

Took him over the summer. No test at all. 4-5 debates in total that are group or partner assignments and gives you enough class time to prepare and get some work done straight forward. Participation assignment are given but very easy able to complete with in 10 min. Debates are fun but instructor some what boring. Textbook not mandatory or needed

this teacher is really nice! I took this professor during summer class and it was pretty easy just do your research and prepare before presenting, that's very important. their was no test require. Absences and late tardy really affect your grade, mines went from an A to a B. no book require.

This class is purely based on group projects, since it is group communications. Very helpful having a group of peers up there with you while presenting. He is a very understanding and cool professor. Do your work, work well with others, follow his guidelines and you have an A. Not a very hard to class, and a great teacher.

Took him for fall semester and I am so happy I did. He's a really great teacher, and I honestly enjoyed the class. There is like 5 group projects/presentations but as long as you take advantage of the time he gives you in class to work on it, and maybe even meet outside of class with your group you will do fine. He's an easy grader overall.

Very Interesting class. Despite my public speaking phobia I enjoyed it because professor gives his students the freedom to choose our own topics. Textbook was not required as lectures were clear cut, you do what is asked of you and the A is yours for the taking.

Helpful to his students and very lay back. Come to class everyday prepared and you will pass this class. Participation is also very important.

He is a truly inspirational teacher. He has a lot going on aside from teaching at LBCC. His lectures get you thinking, he also gives you the freedom to choose the topics of your speech. It was a pleasure being in his class. Why would anyone want to miss class? his class was fun.

I took Prof. Damico for Winter 2016 and the assignments were very straight forward. Going to class was always fun and the activities he assigned in class really helped every one get to know each other. By doing this it made me feel more comfortable in reciting the speeches in class. I took Mr. Damico in the spring of 2016. He is very passionate about public speaking. He has the class get in groups quite frequently to discuss a video shown in class or to go over the current speech assignments. He's the guy to take if you have a fear of public speaking. He gives great tips that will last you a lifetime! Such a genuine guy.

I took this professor during Fall 2016 and I'm so glad I did. I met so many great people in this class due to being put into groups and getting to know each one. He has many group activities for you to do and you start to feel more comfortable. Every project he gives you feedback. Would recommend if you're a bit shy since we work in groups.

I took Mr. Damico in the Winter and it was the easiest class I've ever had. When you do speeches, he gives clear feedback on what you need to improve on and is not a tough grader. If you pay attention to his feedback and read all the guidelines to the speech, you will definitely pass. I was afraid of public speaking, but now, I feel confident.

He is a genius prof ever. He'll give you the tips how to cope with nervousness when it comes to the speech., you'll become a better speaker. His feedback is coherent enough to understand. Getting an A is not that hard if you do as asked, and he makes the class so interesting. Highly recommend. PS: He's such a young and handsome professor

I took this class over the summer and it's seriously one of the best experiences I've had. He let us choose the topics we wanted to debate which was awesome. The Prof. gives clear concise outlines as to how he wants you to debate. COMM 60 fulfills a GE requirement so if you're hesitant, don't be, just take this class. You wont regret it.

He is very cool and knowledgeable. I took his class in the summer so the worked load was a bit heavy but fair. There weren't any test and your graded on you performance and research work. Overall a good easy class.

Super easy class. Lectures, guidelines, and course work is clear. The debates are easy as long as you have evidence and follow the rubric. Took this class in the summer and it was a bit stressful with the amount of time given, but it was manageable.

Grading criteria is extremely clear and he gives helpful feedback on projects/speeches. Participation and attendance is very important, especially since it was a summer course. I would highly recommend taking any of his classes, you'll be happy you did. Plus he has a good sense of humor and is passionate about the subject he teaches.

Hes the greatest!! Missing class however isnt an option. The debates are pretty hefty in points. Theres not many opportunities to make it up which is totally understandable. Do the work follow his instructions and youll definitely receive your A. Youll love his class. I really appreciated him hes so understanding! Hes the best!

His lectures are thorough so missing a class might not be such a good idea unless you want an unprepared speech. He's fair with his grading and gives great feedback. He's also very chill in general and I had him for winter course!!

Prof Damico is a tough character to read. The beginning of the semester you find yourself reading at home, then going over lectures. If you skip the reading you will find it difficult to keep up. The second half of the semester is all group work, you need to take initiative in this class if you want to pass. Overall he keeps you on your toes.

Took his class over the Summer and it was great. It's an easy course but is somewhat fast paced. The class size was small and it created a comfortable environment, since all we did was give speeches.

Took his Comm60 class over winter -- easy A! Graded on 3 debates and 3 researches. He 'teaches' by giving hands on practice and you start debating right away. Very lenient and understanding guy. As long as you participate and do the work, the class is interesting and fun. I definitely learned a lot. Would take this Prof. again.

Laid back professor. He's clearly smart and knows how to run a debate class. Expect fair critique and good questions from him. He gives the classroom a lot of freedom to think about debates.

He made argument and debate way easier than I thought. He makes the class seem very open and debate topics are made by students. Online classes were good too as he was organized for letting us know who was debating.

Took this for a requirement over the summer after taking 5 years off from school. Take this Professor. Hes easy, clear, and fair. The debates we did were basically up to us except the side youre on. If you need to pass a class and not be bored, hes the one for you.

Prof. Tony Damico is a great guy! Take him for Argumentation & Debate (with speech) or Critical Thinking. Took him on the Summer Hybrid and I am grateful I did. Attendance was not important, as long as you complete his assigned work and video uploads. Just take him, you will learn tons and come out smarter.

I took COMM60 with him. As long as you put in effort into your preparation, follow the criteria, and can deliver a debate argument you will get an A

COMM10 was an incredibly fun and interesting class. I do not like speaking in front of groups but this class helped with that and in a fun way. Prof. gave good feedback on speeches and class interactions helped with preparations before speeches. My advice, pay attention and be prepared, don't write your speech in class before you give it.

Love this professor such a nice guy!! I never felt overwhelmed by the work (its not a lot) n gives plenty of time to complete it. Hes a generous and easy grader and we prob had like four speech debates. If you have social anxiety that is okayy when you debate youll be with your group and you can just read off ur paper for the actual debate.

Everyone. Do NOT listen to the reviewer below me who said you can just read off your paper for speeches. I figured I could do that during my last speech instead of memorizing like I always do, and I got graded very poorly! In his rubric, it said we must give sustained eye contact. Although this class is "easy", you still need to take it seriously.

I highly recommend this professor to anyone. I took this professor in a 5-week course and absolutely loved this class and ironically i am almost always not comfortable speaking up but this class and professor allowed me to find my voice and advocate for the things i love. He is very caring and sets the class environment in a supportive way.

Prof. was awesome sauce. Took his 8-week Comm C1000 class and he was amazing, he communicated expectations clearly and provided useful examples. Any low grade I got was my fault on procrastinating. Overall, he was strong at delivering material in a clear, understandable way and genuinely wants his students to succeed :)
