DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!! I am warning you!!! He is the worst instructor I have ever had! He has not clue what he is doing and he can't answer student's questions. He has very poor teaching skills and poor communications with students. I will NEVER take his class again. He is AWFUL!!!

I only had him for a week as a substitute and I am so glad I will never have him for any class. He totally confused the whole class and it was clear that he did not understand the material any more than we did.

He is not as helpful as I believe he should be. A lot of his work is a last minute thing. I wouldn't recommend this teacher if you have a hard time in math. He doesn't throughly explain everything. I didn't enjoy it a bit and had a struggle with this teacher.

THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. HIS TEACHING SKILLS ARE A JOKE. HE GETS A KICK OUT OF HUMILIATING STUDENTS WHEN THEY ASK QUESTIONS. I LEARN MORE FROM THE BOOK EXAMPLES THEN HIM. HE IS RUDE AND UNCOMFORTABLE. I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST TAKING DEPASS EVER!!! THERE NEEDS TO BE A PETITION TO GET HIM FIRED!

His teaching style does not help one learn anything in class. His tests are so ambiguous, and so unrelated to what you learn in class and through the homework, that math needs to come easily to a person in order to pass the class with a decent grade. Do not take him for Statistics.

He is the worst teacher. I took trig right before coming into this class and that was so much easyier. He is all over the place with his teaching. Not one person in my class could understand him. He is all over the place with his teaching. You never understand what he is saying till the last five min. of class, maybe. Try not to take him, trust me!

He doesn't seem to know what he's talking about half the time. Makes students feel stupid for asking questions. He handed out the wrong test twice in my class alone. Is inconsiderate about the temperature in the class room (I froze every day, and he knew it). Not a BAD teacher, but definitely not good. Am NOT taking him next semester.

I took his online Intermediate Algebra class (it?s not college level), I took the entrance exam and the told me to take REMEATLE Algebra. There was nothing REMEATLE about DePass' class, and when I compared it to other Intermediate Algebra class' it was ridicules. He was teaching something completely different! This teacher should change his name to Lucky DePass as in you'll be lucky to pass with a D. Most horrible experience I have EVER had with a teacher. He is arrogant and he has no love for teaching. Poor communication skills. Put downs whole class every chance he gets. Comments to us like "I'm only going to say this once so pay attention" Shame.

This teacher is a joke. He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. HE is a very nice man, but his teaching should be reviewed. Half the time he confuses the freak out of the whole class and seems confused, i failed the class. Now looking for a new teacher. DONT WASTE TIME TAKING HIM

HORRIBLE TEACHER. Even though class was only an hour and 15 mins, tests were times for an hour and 30. Ridiculous. I asked him how to do math problems and he couldnt even explain it. He didnt even attempt to. DO NOT TAKE HIM. HE DOESNT TEACH.

Depass should not be teaching. He does not care at all about the students learning experience. He seemed agigitated or bothered by questions. Moves very quickly thru material. Doesn't utilize ANGEL to post grades of tests/quizzes or discuss any scores on these. Overall, one of the worst I've seen...

BEWARE! This professor is the worst I have ever had. His syllabus is not accurate. He hardly communicated. Says that hw & quizzes count towards grade, they don't but if you don't do he will give you a W. 5 exams are 20%, midterm 40%, final 40%. You can do well on exams then fail on midterm & final because there's no review & includes pop questions.

Do not take him if you need to pass math. I passed just by helping myself. His tests are rough, and is very rude. If you don't get it first try, he doesn't care and won't help you and will make fun of you in front of the class. Not what I would expect from a college professor. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY EVER.EVEN MY WORST ENEMY.

By far the worst professor I've had at SPC. His tests are very hard because half the stuff he doesn't even go over. He's very confusing when going over the chapters, and he gives very poor examples. I barely passed with a low C. I would not recommend him even if I was paid to do so.

AWFUL! Did not use my textbook once, waste of money. Had to teach myself! Every time I had a question, he just gave me a sarcastic answer, trying to make me feel dumb. ONLY time I got an answer I needed was when I gave him attitude before finals. I got an A, no thanks to the teacher though, only because I worked my butt off. HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!

AVOID,Does not provide any help, looses track of his own work, flys by his lectures and will not fully explain problems. Promised to allow a make up quiz that i missed, and kept putting it off, so much that i did not make up said quiz and ended up with a D because of it. i was .8 away from a C. do yourself a favor and avoid his class at all cost.

He does not teach. He just repeats the power point that is available online. He does not answer questions and does not explain anything. Can learn more from the text book by yourself.

It would have been nice to have a test review not just say "go home and work these problems for the test" because I never knew what I was doing. And if u had a question he would say "see me after class" and he would not fully answer my question.. He ddonitely needs some improvement.

He uses slides from years ago. If you ask a question he will make you feel silly. Slightly confusing. Does not go over homework. Pretests online do not help. Doesn't really teach that well. If you are not good at math and need someone to actually teach you the material , do not take him because you have to be extremely independent to pass his class

I have no idea how the school lets this guy teach there. I wanted to like him and stick it out, but he really does himself no favors, not with his teaching nor personality. Material is reiterated from slides he worked out the night before and nothing else, tests do not reflect the concepts covered on the slides, and lord help you if need help.

HORRIBLE. Avoid at all costs!!!!!! He didn't teach anything, I ended up dropping his class and taking it with Professor Bakhtyari and it was a world of difference!!!!

His smile is deceiving, he doesn't care about what he teaches. You can skip the class and teach yourself. Verbally abuses students when you get a question wrong. Has a devil side. Tests are hard be prepared to study for 4 hours. Do the Final Review early and study, 's how I passed. This man doesn't deserve to be called professor.

Say a wrong answer he will get in your face and yell. Verbally abuses his students for imperfectness. Your better off with Bakhtyari, Chang, or even Woodruff who care about you. DePass more like Defail, doesn't care if you get an answer right or wrong. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looks for absolutely anything to take points off of on tests or quizzes. He has no problem with calling students out in front of the class and embarrassing them if they don't understand something. He DOES NOT like to be questioned. He is very authoritative and wants to feel like he is in control over EVERYTHING. There is no way to please him.

he was terrible. lectures were long and boring, and even though I listened, I did't understand it at all. Wouldn't bump my grade up a point to make it passing, and didn't explain things very well at all. the quizzes were really hard because they were online

Not worth the time or money. Seriously such a careless teacher. Drop within the first week. Its a shame SPC keeps this guy.

This guy is horrible, I never would recommend this guy. In all my life I have taken full accountability or my failing grade (which arent many), but I failed this class becasue this instructor is horrible. He forgets to teach chapters and tells us to take a test for that chapter? That is unacceptable. This guy is horrible. Do not take his class!!!!

He makes math into the hardest subject you'll take for math requirements. You can be smart in math, and he will still make fun of you. If you are a student with a disability do not take this guy. Drop after the first meeting, cause it gets brutal down the stretch. His tests are hard and use the learning support center heavily. Not recommend.

Get ready to be punished. He is there to teach and not help anybody when needed. I had to use the tutoring center everyday until I was done. Didn't appreciate getting yelled at for simple mistakes. Do not take if you wanna fail and study six hours for his tests. Take with different professor.

This man is probably one of the worst teachers I've ever had, he doesn't give set notes and he expects you to basically learn all the material by yourself.

He's often unprepared; forgets his book, doesn't have material ready before class, and is often late to class. We are incredibly behind in this class since he took 1 week off for personal reasons (which is fair), now he's speeding through the chapters to make up for lost time. Save yourself the hassle and take a different professor. I wish I did.

I can't believe I haven't submitted this yet. Professor Depass was one of the worst math Professors I have had. It seems as though he is too good to teach lowly math classes. He doesn't take time to explain things properly, and the one time I asked a question in class (in the first few weeks), he berated me. I take professor rating seriously fyi

All he does is make fun of you and pounds you to the ground. If I did not have a background in math I would have failed his class. He does not care about you, himself, or his peers. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's there for money and that is it. He yells at you for making a small error and makes you miserable because of it. If you're not a strong person in math he is not for you. I passed with great tutors and studying six hours every night. Stay away!!!!!!

I spend close to 10-16 hours a week preparing for quizzes, homework, and seeing a fantastic tutor. I sought out Accessibility Services for more time on tests and he was rude about it, luckily, by law he must follow ADA needs. He acted as though serving my needs was an inconvenience and kept cordial over email because the email is monitored. Worst!

Won't/can't help you with your homework or test corrections. My class of 15 people dropped to 10 people by the time I dropped it (6 weeks in). He's very condescending and would rather belittle his students than work out a math problem. His famous first words to the class were "If you need help, go to the library"

I unfortunately took this course during the COVID-19 pandemic & even before the outbreak made its way to the states, he was extremely lazy This was supposed to be an in person course and we did all of the learning from mylabsplus. He never made lectures and I can use a computer at home so I stopped going. Only attended after 5 weeks for exams!

This class was supposed to be a lecture class, and we found out on day 1 that all of our work was online, and there was no lecture, so we were basically teaching ourselves. He is slow to respond to emails, and when he does respond, it is a very vague and almost unhelpful response. He had a very unpleasant personality, take someone else if you can.

The guy literally doesnt do anything. He sits in front of the class while ALEKS teaches you, which by the way is horrible at exactly that. I will say that his tests are the easiest tests Ive ever had in a math class, but teaching yourself the material is the challenge you must overcome to pass.

Terrible with communication. Just do yourself a favor and choose another professor for any math courses.

Depass is not a good professor. He sits there on his computer the entire class while you teach yourself the material. Asking questions is no help because he belittles you! He confuses me more after he explains Do not take him, he needs to be fired! His grade is based on 5 tests worth 90% of your grade. I am not good at math and it was hard!

Took this class online, no live lecture, no help from professor whatsoever. Do not expect to get a reply when you need help. will give you a bad grade on a midterm REVIEW for not taking it several times, regardless of a good grade on the actual exam. Will not take another class with this professor when i have to pay to teach it to myself..

It's like taking an online class, he only uses the ALEKS program and doesn't really talk at all. He "taught" us something once, factoring, we were really good a factoring and the way he explained it to us made no sense. When you ask questions, he makes you feel not smart by almost laughing at you or making an annoying remark. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

Blunt responses on emails 6+ hours later, literally had the midterm password incorrect on honorlock for weeks, finally said he updated it but he just removed it entirely LOL. Class is completely online through a third party system called Aleks, so my guy barely even had to do anything for this class but he still failed miserably at running it

I've never met a crueler professor in my life. He was unhelpful and only confused us further. All he did was sit at the computer and have us work on Aleks. I asked a question about something and he said to me "What are you stupid or something?" and he refused to round when I failed by less than half a point he said "tough luck, try again"

Don't take his class no communication, no explanation, got to do all the work online. it say a lecture discussion class but it all on yourself to do the work.

He doesn't really do much. Attendance was mandatory even though he barely taught anything.

Horrible professor didn't teach one thing the whole semester. Only thing we did was get on the computer and do ALEKS the whole time while he sat up front and did nothing. Very rude as well and is not nice at all. Id take another professor for sure.

I do not recommend taking him as a professor. Spent the whole class period doing classwork online with no explanation. Never really gave any explanation to the math work and would always be-little you if you did not understand something. If you prefer getting a lesson on the work you are about to do, I recommend not taking him!

I don't recommend taking his classes at all. Everything is online based and he doesn't really teach anything at all, but poorly explains questions. He tries to call you out on things practically breathing behind your neck waiting for you to mess up on a question. For whatever reason, he rounds down on some grades and doesn't correct or round up.

I took the class as a Zoom and we literally signed on just to sit in silence the entire time. He doesn't teach a single thing, and when someone asks for help he acts put off and explains things very poorly. Attendance is mandatory even though it was literally just a waste of time. Would not take him again.

I was not a fan of this class. You are teaching yourself 100% through an additional online Aleks program you pay extra for. It took me hours more than any other class work, test are very difficult with written answers only. 60% of your grade is based on the midterm and final exam of which covers the entire course. No formulas or notes allowed.

The only C I have bc of a horrible professor. Don't know how to teach and will always direct you to the tutoring center if any questions arise. Very uncaring and never showed any empathy in any kind of situation. Really regretted not dropping the class.

Do not take this professor!!! Basically a self-taught class. He does not teach anything at all. Tried communicating with him once about my grade and he was extremely rude and got dropped out the class later that day.

I normally strugggle with math classes because they are just harder for me for some reason. If you end up in this guys class, leave imedetly or try your best to switch out or even drop it if you can. Its an in person class but you do your own work on ALEKS and he wont teach you anything. He gives you so much work and very little time to get it done

If you have to take a math course, take it with literally anyone else besides this professor. I'm not the kind of person to go out of my way to make reviews even if I'm feeling iffy about someone, but this professor is on another level. Listen to the reviews and DO NOT take him. Be prepared for snarky emails.

Doesn't teach at all. It's all online assignments (aleks), all the time. Only actually taught when something happened like an internet outage. Very rude to students. Do NOT take this class if you can!
