Eckhardt is a great professor. He is involved with the class and often heightens lectures with funny personal anecdotes about how the subject matter has influenced his life. Excellent sense of humor, very open to questions, easy homework, and fair tests. Highly recommend.

This professor is awesome. Pretty much all you have to do is show up to class and some what listen to his lectures. He helps us out by posting study guide questions for his tests and quizzes on his website. He also has some pretty funny stories about his life. Pretty understanding, great stand up guy.

Awesome! Anthony breaks it down Sesame Street style for those of us who aren't Economics majors. He lightens up the heavy topics with comedy, embarrassing stories, and You Tube videos. He is always available to the student. He'll sit and explain it to you until you get it (took me 2 hours once). Plus he's hot.

Took his online course; lots of homework, but pretty easy. The tests were killer, most of the questions had nothing to do with the homework. Multiple choice, open book, open note, open internet and they were still really tricky.

I had NO interest in Economics prior to taking Anthony's Econ. class. Now, mid-way through the semester, I have a different point of view. Anthony has a way of teaching that is fun, interesting, and NEVER dull. I have a different view point on Economics now. TAKE ANTHONY'S CLASS! He makes it fun, and he is easy on the eyes too!! =)

He's just good. He keeps at certain topics until they click with you. You can tell he cares. The pace of the class is nice. It's not easy, but the workload won't crush you.

Took both his 1A and 1B classes online. I have a feeling he either does not read the homework assignments, or he just gives you 100% across the board just for completing it. His tests are very hard, especially if Economics is a new subject for you. Overall great teacher, I wish I would have taken his class in person.

Mr. Eckhart is a really good teacher. He explains all the material thoroughly but if something is unclear, you can always ask him after class. Class is very discussion based which I like. All you have to do to get homework credit is show up to class but tests are a little more challenging. I would definitely recommend you take this class.

If you are an athlete who will miss classes because of sports, Eckhardt is awesome at working with you and not penalizing you for being absent for a test/quiz. Most of his stuff is available online and tells you exactly what's going to be on the test. Great guy!

There were a few times that I thought I was gunna piss my pants laughing in this class. Awesome teacher, gets to the point. I learned a lot because he kept the class interesting. He makes his expectations clear. He always says you need the book, you DON'T! And don't expect to use your cell n class, you will get kicked out. Take lots of notes!

LOVED Mr. Eckhardt! I took his online macro class, and he even made me laugh over the internet. He made class interesting, letting you choose alot of topics to talk about yourself. His grading was fair, but his tests were the challenge that brought my grades down. But they were fair, just difficult. Definitely recommend him!

I took one of his online classes and thought the experience was a little lackluster. It's decent and fairly easy, but he's clearly better suited as an on-campus professor if you want to get the best experience out of his class.

Hated the textbook. It sounded like all it said was Blah Blah Blah. Good teacher, never made me feel stupid for asking a question. Kind, considerate, fair and he actually read your work.

I took the online class; thus a lot of reading from the textbook was involved. Some of the information presented in the book went over my head, but he also has a PowerPoint presentation that simplifies it. Two discussion forum posts were also required. I found the class fairly easy overall, and it only required about 2 hours of time each week.

Great teacher! relatively easy tests & homework;taught the stuff that needed taught, but also went off on crazy rabbit trails with random stories that keep you interested. Don't sleep in class or he will have the whole class plotting against you =D

Book is only mandatory for the first homework and if you find economics hard. Attending class is a must because he outlines the tests and quizzes. For those who rated his tests as hard, it's probably cause they didn't attend. This was the easiest classes I've ever had! He practically gives you exam answers. He is the easiest grader too. Amazing teacher! Taking his class made me change my major. He is fun and always has the class laughing. His class makes you itch for more. I'm currently enrolled in the class. I had very little interest in the subject matter prior to attending, but find it quite interesting now. I suppose the main reason for me giving this class a shot is because Eckhardt is quite the looker, and he has a wonderful sense of humor too. (: I would advise anyone to take this course.

He's great at being available after class to clarify anything. He's a charmer, and his wit is much appreciated, making what I thought was a dull subject into something very interesting!

My sister (graduated UCLA with a degree in economics) took Mr. E's class a couple of years ago and she changed her major. While econ isn't really my thing, there is no question I learned a lot and can even have intelligent conversations with sis. because of the class. We talked about his crazy stories at this last Thanksgiving.

Have not laughed so hard in a class ever. Loved this instructor. But not just comedy, he really explains. Maybe you'll learn about a WINCOC? Hilarious.

Even though I barely got a B- in the class, I do have to admit it was an awesome class. He definitely knows his stuff, don't really need the text book, only for homework questions (which aren't many). He mostly tests on what is in his powerpoints and lectures. Some exam materials he needs to cover more than once. Really nice guy and entertaining.

He's a friendly and funny person with a surfer-like mentality. If you show up, you'll get an A or a B easily, since a lot of the material is common knowledge. If you want easy units that won't add too much more stress to your plate, then this is a good class for you, but don't expect to learn all that much.

Mr. Eckhardt was a good teacher. He always emailed me back and answered any questions. He is pretty strict regarding late work. Not a bad class, just do some research and work and it's an easy pass.

Eckhardt is a great teacher. He knows his stuff and knows how to teach it. Also enjoys a good debate with a student. Definitely keeps you awake, even at an early morning class. Has some great stories. Participation and being on time is important. He assigns in class stuff, so be there.

Gave us his cell, personal email & school email for us to get in touch with him. 3 quizzes for the class, along with a few shorter papers made homework nice and light. Quizzes were hard, but the grading for the class is definitely fair. He always gives you a free answer, and gave us a week off during finals to study for other classes!

I took this on-line Econ 1A over the summer (2015). A lot of reading, but homework was simple, easy to understand, and the videos he attaches are very helpful. For a summer term the work was not bad and very achievable. I would recommend taking this class on-line if it is not part of your major, otherwise take it in-class for better understanding.

The man is a great teacher, good lectures, understands what it means to be a student. Don't be afraid to ask questions and make sure you're in class, the quizzes are in class based and make up a lot of your grade. lectures aren't too bad either.

Good class. I took the Microeconomics class in person last semester and he was great. If you go to him, he will help you out. I have zero interest in this class, but if I had to take it again I'd take it with him, just because he's so helpful and willing to sit down and explain things.

Although I was already interested in Economics Mr Eckhardt made the class fun and interesting. Finished the class with a B without even touching my textbook or turning in a homework assignment. This was the most AWESOME teacher ever. I had a difficult semester due to family issues, and missed an exam that bombed my grade. He worked with me and helped me so that I would pass the class. Anthony was always polite and respectful in class. He is also super funny. He was always available during office hours. He responds to emails promptly, resolves online issues promptly, and keeps up on grading.

I took this class online and found it super easy. Eckhardt made everything clear to what we needed to do and the schedule was super organized. Defiantly a class I recommend taking. Even if you studied with economics in high school, this class will be super easy and way better than any high school class.

Micro was pretty straightforward with few assignments. The book is necessary but it's a free PDF. I could have used supplemental clarifying lessons. There are very few assignments which is good and bad, because that means you lose a lot of points if you miss anything.

Took Macro Econ online over summer. You have a discussion and homework due every week. Good work load. He gives great feedback and makes econ easy to understand. Recommend whole heartedly

He's one of my favorite teachers so far. He's nice, funny, and genuinely a good teacher. He tells stories quite a lot, though they're, usually, related to the topic. He always asks the class to make sure everyone has everything written down and that he's not moving too fast, and he's always helpful when you don't understand something.

Anthony is a really good teacher and wants to make sure every student understands what is being taught He tells lots of funny stories to help teach and the class after each exam he lets the class go over the exam and debate answers with him and gives extra points to students who show up to debate usually bumping your grade by 6% or 8%

Lots of laughs in this class. There are only about ten homework assignments and four exams which are online. Homework can be difficult but he is very open to office visits to answer questions. Utilize his office hours. The class session after exams are discussion days and you'll get extra credit for attendance. Overall a great professor and class.

His online class was very smooth and predictable. Easy to take for the Summer Semester. Only one book required.

As a professor, He is very easygoing when it comes to grading. However, I am in his online college class the discussions tend to be a touch vague, aside from that I'd recommend this easy-going course that does not take much time out of your day.

He makes everything pretty simple and easy to understand, nothing is crazy or unexpected. Since it's online, however, he interacts very minimally with students. He never does Zoom meetings or office hours. The work isn't hard if you just read the textbook, but it isn't very interactive and it feels like he doesn't put in much effort honestly.

SUMMEr 2021 Beware the final exam in macro, micro was easier I thought. Weekly assignments are cake walks just overload the word count and dont miss the two weekly assignments. message to establish teacher student relationship as best you can (online) and to show respect. He was kind enough to write letter of rec and I made it out with a B-.

A class not to stress over. The classwork is reasonable; the way he sets it up, you can learn a lot about economics without mountains of unnecessary work. I loved his class and taking a second one with him right now.

One homework and one discussion a week. The due dates were always Sunday night at 11:59pm so you have a week to do the assignments which helped me manage my other classes easily. He gives great feed back on the homework every time. He also provides a online textbook to use for his class so you don't have to go out to buy/rent a book.

Not the best, not the worst. He is very hard on deadlines and doesn't accept late work. His grading is very clear and the content is straightforward. Very survivable class, not one to stress over as long as you stay caught up. Overall, not bad and I would take it again if I had too.

Professor Eckhardt is one of the best professors I've had. He lays out his courses perfectly for students to understand. I took his class for econ1A and I am now enrolled in his class for econ1B. Every week we had a homework assignment and a discussion. The class was super simple and fun.

Mr. Eckhardt had clear homework instructions and had a decent amount of discussions. You have to read the book to do the homework, or really just scan through it. He has 3 total exams which are pretty point heavy. If you do the work and get good test grades, you'll do fine. The feedback was very clear.
