Prof Fortner's style of teaching uses computer applications for real-life accounting practice. Very clear grading criteria and has 2 tests, homework, and attendance. Ninja the mascot makes the class even better! Highly recommend this teacher, although his teaching style is different, you might like it but its not for everyone!

It's easy to pass Fortner's class, hard to retain information. He gives out the answers to everything, you don't think in class. If you actually want to learn, you just read the book. You are basically teaching yourself, and your entire grade falls on 3 scantrons. You get no feedback for the work you do until it's too late. His dog cute tho.

Other reviews might say negative things but they arent true in my eyes. I took him again after 201. Hes very cool, funny, and has an adorable doggo. I am an assistant account and I have learned things from him that I use everyday. Yeah he gives you answers but thats for us to go back to and check the answers we can up with.

Professor Anthony is very thoughtful about each student. If you have any type of questions he will answer them. I strongly recommend taking his class as you will get more than just work out of it. I asked him for a recommendation on a book and I am thankful for the feedback. Thanks for helping out even through this pandemic.

Professor Fortner is a really nice and funny guy, however his class lectures are kind of a mess. He goes through a lot of example problems in class, but he doesn't really teach, he just spits out information at you. You are expected to read the book on your own and just understand what he is talking about. If you do so, you can easily pass.

Nice accessible prof, but a little too easy. If you are majoring in ACC, wouldn't recommend because you aren't challenged. Class was dead until after a month when prof posted video lect. 6 week course so everything was crammed in 2 weeks. Lots of resources, hmk/reading is optional, but important to learn. Only 2 tests and a hmk exam. Covid-19 sem

Prof. Fortner is a very solid choice to take and pass ACC202 very straightforward just look at the problem in the book ( the book is the same used in ACC102) write the answer in the spreadsheet provided. The spreadsheet you do not turn in just keep it study it for the 2 exams and homework exam very easy. No reason not to get an A in this class.

Prof. Fortner is great & I'm really happy I took him for my summer session. Responds to emails quickly. Homework is optional, but recommended. ONE hard deadline. Exam 1, Exam 2 and the Homework Exam are on Canvas due at the end of the semester. Very generous as there is no time limit, but only one chance. Great professor would def recommend!

Great class. Professor Fortner was very clear on expectations. I learned a lot from this class. The best part is that he opens all sections of the class and you can work at your own pace. I definitely would take one of his classes again. Thanks Professor Fortner.

Professor Fortner is great! I took him for ACC 201 and 202. His videos that help you through the homework are simple and straight to the point. I recommend not procrastinating at all in his class (though doing that is bad either way). Many try to do things last minute but do NOT do that in his class. Use your time well and you will pass!

Pretty easy class, you can work at your own pace, all work is due at the end of the semester. Two exams (study guides provided) and one homework exam (essentially just a compilation of all the homework examples you had to work through during the semester).

In this class it is vital to read the syllabus carefully and not procrastinate. The 2 of the 3 exams, the only graded assignments, are due at the end of the semester. The professor is very passionate about accounting and seems to encourage students and inform them on career and education opportunities in Finance/Accounting.

The class is straightforward, he has everything laid out. Finished my 16 weeks in 8. Two exams and one homework exam are the only grades in the class. All the homework is not graded but is put towards the hw exam. He explains how to do every problem in the hw with videos and he makes it all very clear. Just watch those and do homework and ur set.

This professor was very straightforward and I had no complaints. There are only three exams that make up your grade, however, the Homework exam is compiled of the entire semester's homework, so if you leave it to last minute it will get very overwhelming. But he explains every homework problem and it makes the class much easier. I recommend him!

straight to the point, simple and easy. He lets you have access to the exam early, you basically do 3 exams. One for homework, midterm, and final. He gives you a worksheet that will have all the questions in the exams, so you don't have to worry about second guessing. Love this teacher and his lesson, simple to follow.

2 exams and a homework exam. This is a good class for busy students since it is basically self-paced, and he's accessible outside of class. The lectures are open/helpful if you feel you need that communication from your professor, otherwise the exams are open the day he course starts. Great professor and content, it's just an independent class.

Took this class during the summer semester for the 6wk. It consists of only 3 assignments. 1 homework exam and 2 exams. Class is not that hard just a little time consuming. Watch his lectures to understand what to do on your assignment. Everything is already open for you to do from day 1. Book is also needed in order to do the exams.
