He's a very lenient grader, and he allows a week for each draft of papers. There are several journal entries that you have to do, but they're normally short and simple. The class is very laid back, and I breezed through.

Galli is a really good teacher. Super helpful and an easy grader. Participation is solely based on journal entries and it's possible to have higher than a 100 in it. He takes attendance and the English department requires it, but he will let you have a few extra absences if you're on his good side. Funny and informal.

Really chill guy. He is super funny and can joke around, but we did get stuff done. I had him over a year ago and he is still my favorite professor. The projects aren't bad and he doesn't try to screw anybody with a bad grade unless you never come or do none of your work. Didn't hurt he was a cutie, too.

Get his class at whatever cost. He is so incredibly laid back. He grades fairly easily, and does a few minor, simple projects throughout the semester. Loved his class and I wish I could take it again!!

He's a really chill professor. I'm not too great at English, and I received an A. Only about 4 people in my class of 25 got below a B. If you show up to every class, you get extra participation points. You also watch a lot of videos. I definitely recommend him.

TAKE THIS CLASS. Galli is one of the nicest professors you will ever have at this University. Attendance is mandatory and used to help you extremely. If you do not make As on paper(s).... attendance and homework journals will boost your grade TREMENDOUSLY to make an A. BEST class I've taken so far at UGA. Super easy class! He gives journals/assignments almost daily, and then there's 3 big essays along with the portfolio at the end of the semester. He is an extremely lax grader; if you do things thoughtfully you will get an A in this class. Multiple people had grades over 100 (at least before portfolios were graded), and most had A's.

EASIEST CLASS YOU WILL EVER TAKE AT UGA! Show up to class, put effort into your work and you will get an A. Essays are really easy to write. He's a chill guy and never gets angry. Be sure to go to class. don't be one of those slackers. Everyone pretty much gets an A in this class

Very helpful, easy assignments. Basically just be in class and you will understand everything you need to do to get an A. He's a really interesting person and the whole class over all was fun! Take Galli if you can!

He's just great, and he understands that different people are on different levels. He grades accordingly, and he usually gives out A's. If you do all the work, it is practically impossible to get a B or lower. Take Anthony! He is amazing!

Absolutely lobed Galli! Only 3 papers that were graded and then a final portfolio. Some homework was due about every other day (of class) but wasn't too difficult. Definitely helpful with improving writing. Very laid back and has a great sense of humor. Usually lets out early if you take a t/tr 8 am class :). Participation DOES matter so go 2 class

Galli is the best! Always hated english, and my writing was discouraged in high school. You don't have a lot of work, and you don't need the textbook. Take him!

Mr. Galli is an amazing teacher. He gives great feedback and loves it when people make jokes. 100% would take him again. He is a very eccentric man, but it makes him so much cooler. Ask him about his cat.

Professor Galli is someone every humanities department needs. His feedback and type of grading indicates no bias. He has a great sense of humor and is always ready to help with any questions which makes participation that much easier. Also he is not a tough grader by any means -- he is a fair grader. Take his class!

Easy grader for essays and gives very easy homework assignments. HE IS THE BOMB and looks exactly like Professor Snape. Take him, probably the easiest 1101 teacher.

Dr. Galli is a solid choice for an 1102 professor,. 3 papers and then a portfolio. Unfortunately the entire English departments grading rubric is a bit vague. Some group projects along the way but those are graded very easily.

Galli is the man. Had him for 1101 and 1102 and he is by far the best professor in the English department. If you can write at a decent essay, you'll get an A. Always lets class out early and gives grades back within a week. Participating in class gets you extra credit This man made English actually enjoyable.

GALLI IS AMAZING! Write the essays and put some thought into them and he'll give you an A. Super hilarious prof, group projects are easy and interesting, readings are really great. I don't particularly like Shakespeare, but Hamlet was great! Show up to class and you get points that help boost your grade!! (Hint: pics in your essays higher grade)

The class is great and gives you more than enough chances to get an A. He's incredibly funny and fair with his grading. He also gives you great feedback and advice on your writing.

Galli is exactly the same as all of these other reviews say. He's kind and truly wants students to do well. There are three papers throughout the course, but each require two drafts and a final, so basically theres one paper due a week starting a month in. All you really have to do is submit the assignments though, and you'll be good!

One of my favorite classes. I would definitely recommend taking Prof Galli. He's so chill and laid back. The 3 main papers aren't very hard and even if you don't know where to start, your feedback from him will definitely help. Your grades for the papers are boosted from extra points if you attended class and turned in your homework.

Take prof gallI! He's relaxed but you almost always have work that could be done. He looks more for the student to improve and participate than just grammar or lecture. Great teacher I'm so happy I had him.

prof galli is cool and super nice, but he gives SOO much work. Compared to the english 1102 classes my friends were taking I had a million times more work to do. it was like the work never ended. He also grades really hard. He will give you a good review on a draft, and then he will give you a sucky grade out of nowhere.

I love this guy! He's so fun and class discussions were always so interesting. We analyzed pop culture articles, movies, commercials, pictures, etc. We wrote three analysis papers and did some other journals and peer reviews. I loved that what we wrote on was actually relevant to our lives. He gives great feedback and I really enjoyed this class.

I would HIGHLY recommend taking Tony for English 1102! You are graded on 3 papers, a final portfolio, and your participation. Although attendance isn't mandatory, definitely show up for class because he will give you extra credit for participation which will boost your essay grades. Great guy who truly wants you to ace the class. He gives final grades on papers but then your grade can go up or down depending on how well you do in class and out of class activities.

Consider yourself lucky if you got Galli for ENGL 1102. He's an interesting guy and class is typically v boring, but he's a relatively easy grader and gives SO much opportunity for you to earn points back. Definitely your best option for 1102 by far.

I liked Galli! He was funny and it was definitely not a hard class at all, but there was a good bit of work. You really do almost always have something you could be doing. But he is an easy grader, and he gives a lot of extra points for just participating! I think I still had a 103 going into the portfolio. Just go to class and you'll be fine!

I LOVED PROF GALLI! He has been my favorite prof at UGA so far. He is so light-hearted, tells you exactly what he wants, and is open to any and all interpretations of our readings. He's an easy grader, too --he genuinely wants us to do well (and we usually got out early). Only downside was a few group projects but they weren't bad. Galli rockssssss

Professor Galli is one of the few professors that genuinely cares about their students. His grading criteria and deadlines are very clear. He is not a tough grader at all as long as you consider his feedback on your paper drafts! You will be expected to read A LOT in this class, so prepare yourself for that.

Great guy! Show up to class and do the work. Easy A, he gives bonus to students who show up to every class! Really cares and easy to talk to outside of class. There is a lot of assignments due throughout the semester but they are easily completed within an hour.

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. He was ALWAYS available outside of class and made time to meet with me to give me feedback after every draft of my paper. His assignments are very straightforward and he will give you more than enough help. If you put in a little effort, meet with him occasionally, and do everything he says, it is hard to not get an A.

Professor Galli is honestly one of the best professors that i've had at Georgia. He really cares about his subject matter and his students. He has truly interesting ideas about the subject matter and I feel that I actually learned a lot about literature even though I really hate reading.

Professor Galli is a really good teacher but isn't the easiest grader. He has strict criteria on his papers but when I went to office hours outside of class and had him review my papers I did better. He offers tons of extra credit for participation so it's easy to end with an A in the class. Overall would recommend!

Professor Galli can be a tough grader, but he truly wants the best for every student. It really helps if you meet with him before turning in your final essay so you can clean it up before turning it in and get a better grade.

Galli was the best English 1102 professor! Your final grade is almost all participation. You are required to do several journal entries and three drafts for all three essays, but he gives you feedback and you have peer reviews. This class is an easy A if you go to class and complete all of the assignments. You are lucky if you have Professor Galli!

Love looove Professor Galli. I never thought I was a good writer, but this class proved otherwise. The classes can get boring at times, but he does his best to keep us engaged. Showing up and participating is a big part (+ extra credit) of your grade. As well as essays, but you go through multiple drafts with great feedback so I wouldn't worry.

I absolutely LOVED this class! Prof. Galli grades is not specifically an easy grader, but he gives amazing feedback and truly helps you to learn. A lot of your grades comes from just coming to class, and there are so many opportunities for extra credit (go to office hours!!!)

I had originally dreaded taking 1102 over the summer, however Professor Galli took away all of my tensions. He is simply one of the best in the dept. He goes through many rounds of drafts and peer reviews so you can always keep improving your writing, and the work load is also very manageable. The readings in class are also engaging. Simply 10/10.

Chill, good grader, and cool. Gives a good amount of HW but all is manageable. Easy content and pretty easy class, just requires effort to do assignments.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I took English 1101 with him and it was actually the funnest class I have ever taken. He is so nice and gives extremely helpful feedback on every essay draft. If you put a little effort in and do all of your work getting an A is not difficult.

Not only does he challenge everyone's views on modern issues, but he's also extremely caring and good about taking late work. I cannot recommend this guy enough!

Extremely engaging! Fantastic dry wit and really makes you care! Very passionate and open to discussion on interpretations of the text. Nobody takes 1102 because they're interested in it... but Galli really gets people engaged and excited to read and write. Fantastic teacher and he deserves the high rating for sure!

Not too much reading assigned. You have plenty of time to write your essays and he posts a schedule of all the assignments and the due dates early if you want to get ahead. Overall, a great class if you have to take English he is a great prof. to have.

Dr. Galli was a very kind and caring prof. Can definitely tell that he has passion for teaching. He assigns more work than other profs, but he is a very easy grader. Whenever I needed extensions on assignments, he was very nice about letting me turn in something later than the original due date. Participate in lectures for extra credit.

He's a great professor, plain and simple. I had him last semester and he was the first person I went to give a review for when I signed up for RMP. He cares a lot and his class isn't hard, especially if you like to talk. I think our class average ended up being an A. If you try at all you'll do well. He grades heavily on participation.

Please take Professor Galli for ENGL1102 if you can! There is A LOT of work, but he is a generous grader. As long as you show up to class and do the work, no reason you shouldn't get an A. Everything we do is for the end-of-semester portfolio, so do all the assignments well to make it easier in the end. Galli definitely made writing more enjoyable!

Professor Galli is specific about certain things and counts heavily on participation, but if you genuinely try on the papers and listen to his feedback you will surely do well in his class.

Professor Fauci is really great at facilitating healthy discussion in class, but most of the class is just him talking. If you can keep up with the homework, this class shouldn't be too much to handle.

Galli is the sweetest. His voice and class is a little boring, however everything he does is for the benefit / success of his students. The workload is not bad, the assignments are also pretty consistent.

He is the absolute best! Participate in class for extra points. He uses a weird grading scale that no one can understand but he is such a fair grader and genuinely so nice. There is always work due before every class but it doesn't take more than 20-30 minutes. Compared to everyone else, YOU WANT HIM. I loved him so much and he is so funny.

Galli is the GOAT. He makes English fun. He is not the toughest grader, but he still has standards. Don't worry, though, as long as you show up and participate in class, the participation bonus points are insane.
