Before I took this class I absolutely loathed every aspect of English, but this man changed everything. He is so enthusiastic about teaching that he actually makes you like it. The class is easy and he even tells you that your grade will reflect what you put in. Class consists of discussions but they are simple and you are free to share whatever.

I cant stress how much you need to take him. i honestly hate english but i love this class! he cares about you actually understand the text, so the whole class we take about the passage we were supposed to read (which only a few actually did). Professor Graf is awesome. He's very passionate about what he teaches. He explains work assignments very clearly. I took his night class and even though its a three hour class, his lectures are fun and interesting (I never missed a day). No books needed, he has readings uploaded for you. Take him, you won't regret it.

I took his once a week two and a half hour long class. He assigns you little readings to do every week or so. He gives reading responses and small other assignments but not many. He loves when the class engages in the conversation so make sure you read! That's how you receive our participation.

He is the best professor ever. His lectures are in depth and even though it was a 3 hour class, it felt so much shorter. Make sure to go to all the classes and you will get an A for sure!

There is NO REASON why you shouldn't receive at least an B+ or better (SERIOUSLY). I wish he was my English teacher from K-12. Everything he teaches is RELEVANT. I took him for 1101, and I took him again for 1102. Great guy and he's there for you if you have any questions. 1102 might have longer readings, but it is 1102. His class is still easy though. Attendance is respect. Don't need to buy any textbooks.

Anthony Graf is by far the BEST professor I have ever had in my three years of being at GGC. He is super outgoing and loves what he does. His class is pretty much read, discuss write. No tests nothing crazy, and over all grading wise pretty easy. Attendance is out respect and because I enjoyed his class I did not miss it!

Read and write at least 2 pages response weekly Amazing lectures. extra credit for attendance n participation. 2 quizzes or less. 1 formal essay over a book that you read for 5 weeks. Averagely 3 short stories/week, 6 pages/story. Not strict with you if participate in class. Papers are due on Friday night and can be late as long as you email him.

Professor Graf is by far the best professor i've had. He has such an amazing passion for literature, he is hilarious and makes sure you understand what we're discussing. He is pretty lenient towards extending time for assignments. Weekly assignments but short stories. One long essay but plenty of time. Likes a lot participation. TAKE HIM!

Took him for 1102. I love the sound of his voice, and attendance is respect. Fun stories, if a little dark. Easy discussions, and very laid back. Take him if you can

Mr. Graf was truly phenomenal. Entering ENGL 1102 I was skeptical but he made the class so interesting and entertaining that I enjoyed it very much. He is the most understanding professor I've ever had! He's super nice, and very charismatic when he gives lectures. Assigned readings were very interesting! Reading responses due weekly, 1 major essay.

Professor Graf is awesome. Take his class you will enjoy him. He only gives 9 reading responses for the whole semester. A 3 page essay and a in class quiz that is open notes. You will really like him just take his class. Its very interesting.

Funny guy, really knows what he's teaching. Likes when ppl participate but usually it's just him&like 3 kids talking. Typically for everything we read in that class he assigns questions for us to answer so there is a lot of reading and the responses should be around 1-2 sometimes 3 pgs. Assigns 1 big essay , but there are no actual"tests"or quizes

Words can not express how amazing this Professor is! i have his 9:00 class. He really gets you to look at literature and poetry at a different light. The lectures are informing, and the the quizzes lol what quiz!? The journals may seem daunting at first glimpse, but all the rubric is so informative that there are really straight forward/easy. TAKE!

If you're taking 1101, take Anthony's Class! He makes the class not only fair but entertaining as well. Will have fairly easy assignments, a few essays ( I mean like 2), reading responses (which are self-explanatory) and a research project. Overall, a great class with a great professor.

This man changed the way I look at language arts he is the greatest LA teacher I've ever had and be prepared to talk about deeper topics things a lot more philosophical!

Mr. Graf is highly recommended so he was having an overwhelming last semester, I feel like so. Our reading responses were not returned on time, it was graded at the very end of the semester. I don't feel as much pressured when I take class with Mr. Graf as when I tooked English 1101. Reading materials are provided on D2L.

Best English professor in GGC

Professor Graf was interesting. However, at times I found him inappropriate. His lectures were interesting at times. I cannot comment on the difficulty of class work though. I completed it all and feel confident in it, but Graf has not put any grades in all semester. I wish I knew where I stood in the class.

Mr. Graft was awesome. He has made me feel more confident about my writing skills. He is very respectful and all he ask is that you show up to class because he is big on that. Everything you do in his class is either a reading or writing response, not much hw and all assignments can get done within an hour or two. Take his class.

English isn't my strongest subject and I'd never got an A until having professor Graf. His lectures are amazing and he explains everything in great detail, And he helps your writing skills greatly.

FANTASTIC! i had his class for 8am, and i would so do it again. he made that class bearable, i never missed a class. terrific dude, very funny. he makes his class not seem hard at all. he encourages participation just because he marks who participates, but if you don't, it's all good bc there's no reason you should fail unless you constantly skip.

Prof. Graf graded very leniently this semester and you got an A as long you did the work with a decent amount of quality. I wouldn't say I would take him again as the course was not eventful. We did learn things here are there but he graded very lightly! The class is worth the A and I'm sure under better circumstances he would do a better job.

He has the best personality ever!! He is so inspirational and amazing. He always expects us to be ourselves and put in your best efforts as much as possible. He gives great feedback and he's always a there if you need him! I would definitely take his class again. His class feels like a chill zone, he's always making us laugh and have languid time!!

Mr. Graf is one of the best Professors at GGC, his course was amazing. He gives great directions on how to do assignments, and really well feedback on those assignments. Whenever I had any issues with anything he was there to help and told me dont stress about it just let things flow and do your best at it. Overall this class with him was amazing.

Anthony is the best English professor at GGC! He genuinely cares about every student that walks into his class room. Mr. Graf is one of the greatest professors I've ever encountered and he's one of those rare professors that actually make you excited to come to class. Goated on the sticks. No one in the class really participated, so if you raise your hand to read a passage or answer an easy question you'll get a good grade. Readings for his ENGL 1101 is easy and most synopsis can be found online, but I doubt you'll need it. Lenient with submission dates.

Such a down to earth professor. His humor makes you actually want to go to class, and he is super understanding. Participation is HUGE to him, but he makes raising your hand/asking questions less frightening. His lectures are also pretty funny. Easy material, but he puts grades in slow (probably because he gives feedback on every assignment)

SUCH A GOOD PROFESSOR. Please take him. He assigns a few readings, responses, and short writings which were very easy. One narrative essay. No tests or quizzes. He gives great feedback on assignments, and some are funny. Downside is that he doesn't put grades in till like a month before the semester ends. But it's the easiest A online ever. Trust.

Mr. Graf made me love going back to school after 5 years of not attending. His lectures really make you pay attention and want you to participate. Work is simple yet effective. The essays were even fun to write. Do the work and pay attention and you will pass.

I loved this course it was good but do the work and you won't have any problems also pay attention to the readings cause it matters. Also, show up to class cause if you do not it'll kick your a** during finals week you don't have a final only a research paper anyways good luck to the future students hope it helps

Dr. Graf is truly one of the best professors you can find in the English department at GGC. He deserves all the praise he can get. Very simple assignments that allow for you really get a good grasp on research. Simple reading assignments, two essays, and a vocab quiz and that's it. Very, very forgiving grader and is super forgiving. Fantastic guy.

Mr. Graf was a great professor! He has a great sense of humor that either makes you laugh, or puts a smile on your face. We had many readings that were assigned to us to read for the next class, as well as also having a few of those readings with some questions to answer as a homework assignment. We only had one essay, and then the Final Essay.

He's a good professor, pretty chill, funny, and not much work. Participation can sometimes matter if you want extra credit. Overall the class is easy if you show up and pay attention to the lectures.

I had Professor Graf for the spring semester of my freshman year of college, and he is genuinely a one-of-a-kind professor who is always there to talk. He is really amazing at teaching. Even though attendance is not mandatory, his lectures have some definitions you'd want to write down (for the later semester key word quiz). I highly recommend you take his class if possible for you. Plus, his feedbacks on your assignments are very helpful for the higher class (1102,...)

Great teacher especially when transitioning from high school to college he makes the process so smooth and easy. He provides you with everything you need to succeed. Never hesitate to ask he's open to answer anything, also he's really great at answering emails so if anything comes up he always checks before class. Would love to take again.

This professor was definitely my favorite. He is the perfect professor for transitioning from high school to college. I tend to struggle in English classes but he was so supportive and made it easier to do well in. Definetely the best English professor hands down. It is unfortunate that I don't get to have him for 1102.
