Average quality teacher. Knows his stuff well. But sometimes its hard to know what to study for because theres alot of material. He does everything off of powerpoints. Also some of the questions on the test are common sense.

Mr. Hailey is a very nice teacher. He cares about everyone. His class was really easy. There wasn't alot of homework and all you had to do was ready the textbook. The test is based on the book, so make sure to read the book carefully. Overall, it was an easy 'A' for me, and I learn alot from this class.

Professor Hailey is well versed in the subject and has a wealth of personal knowledge to share as well.I always enjoyed his class and found it fairly easy. The one downfall is he doesn't always prepare you well for exams.

A good class and a good instructor. His powerpoints highlighted the book, which made it easy to understand and for studying for quizzes and exams. He was helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. This class challenged me, but I would enroll in any class that he teaches.

Mr. Hailey is has a wealth of practical knowledge to share. Although i don't particularly like instructors to use power point presentations, it helped to identify the important information in the chapters, especially for serving as a guide when studying for his tests. Although i did't earn an A, i enjoyed the class and the instructor.

Interesting class and an informative instructor. He covers a lot of information, so be prepared to listen, participate and work a little. he answers any question you have . He gives good examples to help you understand the concepts. Read the chapters and do the homework and you should do well on quizzes and exams.

Intro to criminal justice. Mr Hailey was an amazing teacher, as long as you do the reading and attend class you will be fine=) im going into nursing and only took his class to fufill my A.A req.But it was so worth it, got an A in a summer semester. I leaned a lot and even though its not my major it was so interesting to take. good luck

Prof. Hailey was awesome!! He is very helpful and has plenty of experience in this field and knows what he's talking about. It is impossible to fail his class, he helps out anyway he can and offers his free time to anyone that needs it. He is what all Professors should be!

Professor Hailey is lectures quite a bit but every class is interesting. He always finds a way to get the students to interact and all his test are mostly multiple choice which he covers in lecture. If you attend,take good notes and read some of the chapters you will pass.

Hailey is a great teacher! He knows his stuff and loves talking about it. You take tests as groups, apart from midterm and final, but those are just the same questions from the tests you take as groups. VERY easy class. TAKE HIM!

Hailey is a great professor, always willing to help all his students. His stories are interesting too. Read the text and pay attention, memorize the answers to the quizzes and you'll be fine.

Mr. Hailey is an overall great teacher. He takes time to help everyone understand the material while incorporating his own personal stories. The quizzes are done in groups, so it's more like a study session than an actual quiz. You do one term paper and have on midterm and one final test. I highly recommend that people take his classes.

Professor Hailey is awesome. He's done so many things in the criminal justice field and has so many stories to tell to relate to what he's talking about. the class is all lecture, slide shows and note taking. Book not really needed. Highly Recommend taking his class.

Whoevr said you dont really need the book probably didnt do too well. The class is based on 4 quiz, 1 midterm and 1 final; which are all based on 80% reading 20% lecture. Mr. Hailey's class comes off as easy and laid back at first but sooner or later it will show if you do the work or not dnt make the mistake of thinkin u can slack off nd stil pass

I have recently returned to school with this being the first class I've taken in 20 years. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in law enforcement, corrections or courts. This professor is extremely knowledgeable and the course is well put together. Please be ready to study to pass. It's not a free grade, you have to earn it.

This class was awesome. I took it over the summer, so I'm not sure how the regular semester classes are, but over the summer it was great. I didn't even get the book and still passes. Studied the notes and previous quizzes and the class was a piece of cake. Mr. Hailey was also so helpful with every question and was very sure everyone understood.

Hailey is one of the best teachers I've ever had! He's very understanding and works with you. Lectures can be a little dry, but most of the time, he has great stories to go along with them since he's very experienced in criminal justice. Very smart and a very nice man.

Hailey is one of the best teachers IMO. He genuinely cares about his students and the subject he's teaching. Clear goals for what he wants you to learn and his personal stories are insightful and comedic at the same time.

I've been at LMC for far too long & have met many professors because of that. I can, without a doubt, say that Professor Hailey is my favorite! He is incredibly knowledgable in the criminal justice field & passionate about it which makes class that much more enjoyable. He is such a kind man as well! Take notes & do the reading & you'll pass easily!

I am currently in his class now. If you pay attention in every class and take really good notes, you don't really need the book, but if you miss class and dont pay attention the book is there for you. i think ill either get an A or B, one week left. this gave me no stress, nice guy. doesnt grade too hard, i suggest his class

His class is awesome, he has great stories to tell, hes a really cool professor and the class is great, NO homework not too fast paced etc the only thing you have to do to pass is get good grades on your test and papers.

Professor Hailey is a really great person. You can tell that he is very passionate about teaching and cares for his students. There are 4 group quizzes, which he recycles for the tests. He does go over the answers so test taking should be really easy. There is one paper due,but it is very short and simple. Pay attention and the book is not needed!

So the subject itself is pretty interesting, and Hailey gives real-life applications and personal experiences really help. In total there is 8 quizzes, all of which are with a group, and you can take pics of right answers after quiz. 2 "finals" (one half way through) which are the exact same questions from the quiz. & one EASY essay he hardly reads

He's such an interesting professor, great lectures and such an easy class to pass, group quizzes and tests are the same question as the quizzes so it's really easy to get an A, I did not buy the textbook because we review everything in the lectures and power points, easy A

Interesting lectures, group quizzes, everything on slides on tests. The only thing about him is he is very very lecture heavy. He talks all class period and his lectures make me lose interest fast because he just talks so much. Doesn't post grades on Canvas, you have to keep track of your own grades.

Really cool professor with an easy criteria. Theres a midterm, group project, and final. Both the midterm and final was take home. Easy class with interesting subjects and scenarios that got you thinking.

Very nice and caring person and teacher. will make jokes and is very understanding, will even go grab some chairs from the other class if there isnt enough room for some people. an extremely easy A, everything is on the slides and he talks about everything in depth. group quizzes also help for the easy A

I would definitely take his class again. He is understanding and is easy. Test are as groups. Just make sure you read the chapter. Quizzes almost every week.

Easy class. Only cons are that he takes too long during slides and we always have to almost every quiz BUT it's group quizzes so it's not too bad. Tests are basically the questions on quizzes, the short answers are tough because he grades harshly on them but other than that its a chill class.

Professor Hailey, has been an awesome instructor throughout my college years at LOS MEDANOS COLLEGE. I have had him for 3 semester and he has been exceptional each time that i had taken him. There is nothing that i can say other than it was an honor to be his student.

I had his class once. He is an awesome professor. I like the fact that he allow the class to be in groups when doing quizzes. He's very respectful. Make sure to read. Lol. I would be more than happy to take his class again.

This is by far the easiest class I have ever taken. Professor Hailey really wants his students to understand criminal justice and tells stories based on his experiences as well. He does group quizzes except for the midterm and the final. I only showed up to turn in my paper for his class, and take the tests and I still received an A.

Prof Hailey is definitely one of the best teachers I had at LMC. You can tell he is real passionate about the CJ system & often tells interesting stories from his experiences. This class was pretty easy for me, he recommended we buy the textbook but I just went to the library and used their free book. (Attendance isnt really mandatory by the way)

I think the reason i decided to continue majoring in criminal justice was because of all the good professors i have had. I took Professor Hailey's class my first semester in community college. He is very passionate about what he teaches and encourages you to talk to him during office hours to help you with whatever you need. One of my favorites!

Professor Hailey is attentive, passionate, and you can tell he wants his students to succeed. He is extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoys teaching students. It was a privilege to be this class, I hope I get to take another taught by Professor Hailey in the future.

While taking this course, Hailey was very informative and had a lot of interesting stories to share from his own personal experiences. He also requires a CORE visit for essays to get feedback which helps tremendously. Though he does have lengthy lectures and packets of Power Point slides to hand out he will never under-explain a topic!

Professor Hailey is very passionate about what he teaches, he always has great examples to use during lectures which makes learning a lot easier. Everything that is on the quizzes, is on the powerpoint he uses in class, which are also on canvas. Simple grading, not very much assignments, there's 1 midterm, 4 quizzes, 1 essay, and the final, no hw!

made class very interesting. very nice and understanding of students needs. only downside is he doesn't use canvas when grading so its hard to know what grade you have in the class and what you need to improve on

He is a good professor he will answer emails back quickly and is there to help whenever you need it. There are a ton of discussion boards with a lot of quizzes, just study and their easy. Other than that as long as you keep on top of all assignments you will learn and it's an easy A.

Straightforward assignments which you get basically get credit for just doing it, not a tough grader. Do keep track of when assignments are due though because he will not unlock it after the due date. He is very understanding and makes arrangements with you if you let him know you're going to miss a deadline beforehand though.

Super easy class if you just do the work, for his online class we just had discussion posts every week. You have to do 4 essays (1 of them being a group essay) but they weren't insanely long or anything. I learned a lot from this class, none of the information was biased etc. and it really educated me about the justice system! Take him!

Mr Hailey is a really nice professor. In my opinion he is NOT rude. I took him for Adjus110 and 120. I love the fact that he had us to watch movies and documentaries and let us write about them. When I first took his class he allowed us to take tests in groups. I never seen him in a bad mood.

Class is thought provoking, brings up a lot of race and class discrimination issues in the criminal justice system. In summer class, we read and discussed 3-4 chapters per week and a quiz. Also, a short paper and a final. Unfortunately, there were no video lectures only slides. Still, one of my most enjoyable and interesting classes.

The professor is wonderful and engages with his students, especially if you send him more than 1 message. He reminds me that professors are just as human as students, and that his dedication to influencing young minds is with the right intentions. His classes were one of the only ones making me remember why I love to work with law and justice.

Great course but do not get behind or you will not be able to build on content. The content in is course is very comprehensive and thought provoking.

I've taken his class in spring. I will say to read all the chapters and modules carefully because quizzes depend on that. Overall he does give out good feedback and is not a rude teacher. He's not a bad teacher, but getting in contact with him can sometimes be challenging.

Professor Hailey good if you're competent in analysis and writing skills. You'll watch movies/documentaries, which is where your essays come from. And of course, there are discussion posts. One thing to be aware of; make sure you get your APA formatting right. Professor Hailey is pretty strict on that.

He is an amazing professor. I have taken 3 of his courses so far and love how he engages with you. I took one class in-person before COVID and loved how he explained lectures. This online class only had weekly discussions, two papers, mid-term, and a final. Not a lot of work. Loved it.

professor Hailey was a very good instructor I took two of his courses ADJUS-110 and ADJUS-160 both were very easy and organized. not too much work in any of them I have no negative comments about him except that needs to work on communication because I emailed him a couple of times about urgent matters and I got no response whatsoever

The class is an easy A if you do the work and turn it in on time. There are 4 papers you will have to write (on movies, simple but time-consuming) and 1 team group paper. Other than that I would recommend others to take the class.

I took Professor Hailey's Intro to Criminal Justice class online so I can't say I have the greatest gauge on them, but they did seem to show good amounts of effort and care towards the class. Professor Hailey was kind enough to give me an extension on a essay during the semester when he really did not have too.

I didn't get the textbook but it didn't seem to matter as the prof doesn't seem to read student's papers anyways. Literally all he cares about is APA formatting. Easy A if you can sit through 2 movies and write 2 essays.

Dr. Hailey is a great professor. The classwork is light, just discussion questions every week that are very intriguing and strike great conversations with classmates. Each semester he also does a BBQ at his house which he invites all of his students to. Also was very nice with assignment extensions if you ask. Don't be afraid to reach out! Cool guy

As long as you do the work you can get an A there is a lot of reading and quizzes.

Best professor ever! He is an easy grader and understandable professor. Not much work to do, just discussion and quizzes here and there and of course a course paper but it was not at all difficult. I recommend taking him, he is the best.

He's a great professor! Very passionate about what he does and that makes the material easy to understand. The work isn't all that hard at all, group work isn't the best but if you can put that to the side I definitely recommend this class.

Amazing professor. I took his online course. He is super understanding and always helpful if you need it or have a question. His assignments are not super hard either. Read the textbook and assigned assignments, and do the discussion board. Such a straightforward class and not a harsh grader if you know what you are expected to do.

Very manageable class if taken online, not very many projects/assignments and professor is pretty understanding. Instructions are always clear, and not many lengthy assignments. If this is an elective class, you should definitely pick professor Hailey.

He is mostly a discussions- and papers-based professor. He does give a paper project; the project is fairly easy. Professor does take grading very seriously and will take a huge amount of points if you make mistakes on your paper, which affects the majority of the grade. The information you are learning is very interesting and engaging.

Amazing Professor with engaging discussions relating to the reading and two required movies. Essays are straightforward, as he provides guiding questions. Definitely an easy class if you put in the effort to read all required material.

He's very kind and willing to help students when needed. Turned in a draft for our course paper considerably late, but he still pushed back the turn-in date so I and other students could turn it in and still received full points. Be mindful of paper formatting (APA specifically), but its still not that much of a big deal, just do work on time
