Please ignore all these ridiculous reviews. Mr. Hallberg is excellent! He explains well, is very fair, and is always helpful. People who choose to be negative here are lazy jerks who are not cut out for college. End of story.

Yes, he is a bit odd in personality. But, he gives you reviews that will be almost exactly what you will be given to work with in exams! He gives you credit too for the review sessions. He will help you if you really want it!

Very odd sort of fellow. Will spend a very long time in between ideas just looking off into space or at the blackboard. That being said however he is a good teacher and his tests are easy. Got an "A" without really trying.

Good teacher, does make lame jokes,but just wants to be liked. Knows his stuff. Give you a 15pt credit for all tests(from review that looks exactly like test)I have always had troble with math.He does not just give out A. you really have to work to get it

He IS shy and quiet, but I think he taught very clearly. The tests were fair and the fact that he doesn't greet you extravagantly in or out of class shouldn't affect his status or ability as a teacher.

Nice guy with a unique personality. Does not require you to be in class and he will work around your crazy schedule. And he is readily available after class hours. You must study, but he gives you the reviews which are just like the tests.

Hmmm. Well hes a good teacher and very educated... Sometimes he could get distracted but who cares as long as he knows what hes talking about when it come to stats. I would definately reccomend him though

He is a good teacher and he really knows his stuff. He will try to explain the math in anyway possible to get you to understand the problems. He loves to talk about his sister and her kids and tell silly jokes but hey that is better than just straight lectures!! He is a great teacher overall!!!!

this class was great, i took him in the evenings and it went by so quickly. has some off humor jokes that just make you laugh. i recommend this is if you HAVE to take it, if not pass along.it wasn't an easy a, unless math come easily to you, but if you listen you will manage a b. he knows his stuff.

Stats is a Hard class, but he is much better than most professors at explaining ideas and concepts. He is very nice, though talks to students like they're stupid some times. Tests medium difficulty, Do Homework. Overall, good class, great teacher.

His jokes are not the funniest one; however the man is master of his domain. very,very,very,very easy to get an A if you come to class. Did I say very easy to get an A. You will learn alot with him.

HE IS REALLY GOOD. HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING HE IS GOING TO PUT ON THE TESTS. SOMETIMES HE IS WEIRD, BUT HE MAKES THINGS EASIER.TAKE HIM.

This teacher is very wierd but can explain statistics very clearly. He tells you everything that is going to be on the test and does not try to trick you. Do not ask questions though because he will treat you like you are stupid and has no patience. Just review your notes and you will get an A in the class.

Very good teacher. Explains concepts very clearly and in a way that non-math students can understand. He give out a review one week before the tests...DO THE REVIEW...the test is almost a mirror image of it. If you come to class and pay attention you will do well. I'm terrrible in math and I managed a B in his summer B stats class.

Good instructor. You must do the study guide he hands out. It is essential to passing the class. Quirky jokes, but overall nice guy. Allows the final to count as two test scores if its better than either of your tests. No hw grades, only 2 tests and one exam ( in the summer class)

This guy is amazing. He truly knows his stuff. It is very wise to go to his class, he is rather informative. NEVER!!! skip the pre-class review, it is ridiculous. He wants to help in any way possible. This class is an A if you are willing to try for it. It's not a push over, however it is an easy A if you want it.

This guy is a closet rage-aholic. Some days he's fine, and some days one person may say something that will set him off. Be careful what you say to him. He genuinely wants to help you learn stats, though, and is pretty clear and straightforward in how he presents the subject.

ok...even tho there is no attendance policy...GO TO CLASS!!!!!!!! missin class means u miss alot, esp in math. he is pretty good explaining the process and concepts, make sure u do his test study guides. they help ALOT on the test

Course materials aren't difficult and there's no Algebra. He tries to make everything easy to understand. Afterall, it's every day math. Four tests and a final. No extra credit. Not a bad math class.

I found Mr. Hallberg to be explanatory, always willing to help, and a nice dude. He does not like lazy students, but no decent teacher really does, I guess. By the way, I'm not a math expert.

BEST TEACHER FOR STATS! my friend had another teacher and had so many horror stories, made me thankful to have this teacher. no mandatory attendence, and is so good at explaining this stuff and trys to make sure everyone understands before he goes on. tests are exactly whats on the reveiw, and keeps things simple. BEST STATS TEACHER!!!

This is math for students who can't do math. He understands that and tries to make it as easy as possible. You'll learn how to calculate interest and what the pay off is on loans you may have. It's really math for every day life and if you can't pass it you don't belong in college.

He gave students every opportunity to make an A. He offered assistance during off hours. He reviewed all homework problems requested. If a student doesn't understand, he doesn't move on until they do. There are no surprises on the tests. They come from the review which is provided in plenty of time to study.

I suck at math and did great in his class! He explains things clearly and will take the time to help you! He's a weird guy but kinda hot! Also gets attitude from time to time...but at the end of the day you understand the material...He gives great notes and test review packets. Tests are really easy. Highly recomend him!

This guy is a great teacher,really cares about his students success in the class. explains everything so clear and helps you when ever you need it. recommend him for all your math needs. i took him for two classes,mgf 1106 and mgf 1107 and i did well in both(and i usually fail math) take him!

Prof. Hallberg is a very good instructor. He makes sure everyone understands before moving on. He makes sure you know he is available other than class time and encourages you to seek him out for help. Great instruction of your calculator. Use of note cards for tests are very helpful. Keeps class from being boring with his humor.

Pro. hallberg is a little quirky and offput, you can definitly tell he was the wierd kid growin' up. But besides that he is actually a very good teacher. He talks fast but will go back and make sure everyone understands.the best part about his class is that you get to use notecards on your tests.

Prof. Hallberg is genuinely a great/funnt professor in his own unique way. Available 24/7 if help is needed.Imperative to take notes. The use of two 3x5 note cards front & back is great (use a 5 pencil and write very, very small). Don't buy book. TI-84 made my life so much easier. Got an A with hard work. Highly recommend.

Great teacher explained it untill you really got it! Im good at math listened in class never did hw and looked over hte reviews and got an A! your allowed to use a notecard on every test and then you cna use all of htem on the final! He shows you how to do everything on a calculator! Good teacher little weird but nice guy! always in office for help

Professor Hallberg is not exactly a bad teacher, however his style can be a little unclear and he has a bit of a temper. Asking questions is practically a sin in his class. He can at times be a little tough to follow considering how fast he moves through the material. I believe he needs counseling.

Prof Hallberg is great! He gives you everything you need to get an A in his class. You can use a 3x5 notecard on all the tests & you can use all your notecards on the final. Mostly everything can be done with a claculator so his class is super easy. Never used the textbook & never did any hmwk. Plus, he always has funny stories about his childhood.

Very passionate and smart based on statisticcs and lets you use notecards on the tests after the first ones. He lets you use four on the final and gives you a review sheet tht just like the test itself. DONT BUY BOOK

Great teacher! 100% committed to the student and always avaialble to assist. Explains the Stats very well and makes it easy to understand. You need to attend the class or you will have trouble understanding the concepts. Attendance is key.

Really easy going professor, 5 total tests including a final exam. Your lowest test grade is replaced by your final exam grade. Homework not mandatory, but helps. Gives you test reviews w/ answers 2 days before test, and the review and tests are pretty much the same. Funny, and genuinely wants you to succeed.

I feel bad for this guy. He knows math very well and you will learn if you pay attention, but dont let him catch you using your phone or goofin off, cuz he seems to take it personally and will get easily aggravated. my class had ppl that goofed off, so each class i worried about the man's blood pressure.

Prof. Hallberg is the best Math teacher ever! I'm usually terrified of Math, but with this professor's dedication and detailed explanation I overcame one of my biggest fears. You get 15% of the grade on a test simply by completing the revision sheets (which are in and of themselves greatly useful). He avails himself to students because he cares!

His class was VERY EASY, I loved the way he teaches and it fit for me. Dont misss class, he always gives a review sheet of what will be on the test about a week befor the test, whats on the test is usually on the study guide. He is more than willing to help you its an Easy A! He gives hmewrk but does nt ck it. every test he gives 15+ pts. Take Him!

He teaches you as if you have no idea what the material is, which makes it easy. He is funny and extremely helpful. No grade for attendance but you wouldn't want to miss class anyway, especially if your book is collecting dust. No hw, just test, gives study guides. Highly recommended~

He is a great teacher, i just hate the fact that there is only 5 tests each 20% of your grade, so you fail one and your screwed. I wish he gave us homework for grade or at least any kind of extra credit.

GREAT! Took him for a 6 week course. After the first test, you know what you are in for. Get excited when asks q's but he answers every 1. Only grades r test, no ex. credit. Your calculator is your bestie. No hmwrk graded but PLEASE do it, helps a great deal w/ tests! No attendance taken every class but 1's who missed didn't make the best grades!

Prof. Hallberg was very helpful. He would allow the students to call and meet with him often to better understand the material. He cracks little jokes that some get and some others don't. but either way, he tries to make the material interesting. Take his class.

Cannot stand the way he grades. I love math and thus enjoy it but I hated this class. Definitely need to do all the homework (even though it's not graded) and he lets you use 3x5 note cards for test. These come in very handy. But you need to write down everything because he'll take off points for wording. Definitely wouldn't take him again.

Great Professor A bit of a picky grader but he writes what you did wrong on the test and that helps with review. Prof. Hallberg is great he really knows his stuff. Idk why people complain this class is hard it is so so so EASY like the easiest math class ive ever taken,i dont use the book and i got a 95 on the first exam, gives an automatic 15 pts on each test which is almost a replica of the review he gives. Definitely recommend this professor.

No all personalities match and while you dislike professor Hallberg, other dedicated students enjoy learning from him. I took stats with him at Valencia and 2 years later struggling with an upper level Stats class, he tutored me and he helped me pass, so I completed my bachelor's degree. Excellent professor! Best math class I have ever taken! He has loads of personality and is hilarious, but that doesn't mean he can't teach. I have never done this well in math before and he provided the best instruction I have ever received. Absolutely take this course with Tarzan...lol!

Becomes annoyed and frustrated when you ask a question.But explains things clearly, provides study guides for every test, and allows you to use a notecard for every test (5 note cards for the final). Pretty easy since everything is explained well. Want an A? Go to class, do the (optional)hw, ask questions,and study. Write down ALL calculator tricks
