He is straight forward. He gives detailed Exam reviews so write down everything he says. The online quizzes are open book so really do a good job you should get an 90%+ on each. Writing Assignments are not hard just follow his writing criteria. FORMAT is everything. Overall good class just study the exam review and participate.

Definitely one of my favorite professors at FAU! I really did not enjoy business law 1, but found business law 2 so interesting and I think it is just the way he teaches. We had 2 essays, 15 quizzes online at home(one for each chapter, very easy), and 3 exams. Final was not cumulative, and his reviews tell you exactly what to study. TAKE HIM!

He is a great professor and one of the best in BUL4421. His lectures are interesting and interactive to keep your attention. Two papers but they help you understand the material better. 4 Exams but he gives an exam review that if you follow to the T you should be able to receive an A no problem.

Took him for six week summer session. Really enjoyed the class, hes a good teacher and uses real criminal cases to relate to. Great law professor, Ive taken his classes 3 times! - Business Law 1, Business Law 2, and now in graduate school, Business Law Applied Ethics. Prof Horky is a must take class for business ethics. He makes sure there is participation by calling on you. The class is not hard but makes you think. He is dedicated to his students learning, makes sure every opinion is heard which make lectures an open forum, while still lecturing from the book and his own experiences in business ethics.

Some of the lectures are not too interesting and it gets challenging to follow as he does speak in a rather monotone voice for the most part. All around great professor! Knowledgable, funny, and gives chances. Had him for Business Law. Pretty easy if you just attend class and answer a few questions throughout the semester. Make sure to attend the review sessions and you'll ace the tests.

Professor Horky was a fantastic professor. He knows his stuff, but more importantly, he knows how to break it down so anyone can understand. Lectures didn't feel long since you were encouraged to participate. Tests were not difficult so long as you read the material and went to class.
