The Worst Professor EVER! Assigns way too much work & can't teach.

I rather undergo a mouthful of root canals, than be student in his class again!

HORRIBLE! Aviod at all costs! Too much work given that has nothing to do with the course. He doesn't teach, you have to teach yourself EVERYTHING. Study all notes and you *might* just pass. I have pity on you.

Just horrible. You do lots of useless work that has nothing to do with the class. He gives homework way before we cover the material in class. His tests are based on notes, but if you don't write the answers exactly his way (you don't know it)-bad grade.

This man should not be teaching. Has several bias Does not know material and cannot answer questions Has several pets and takes an instant dislike to students for no reason

THIS GUY IS A TEACHER??? someone please tell me they tested THIS guy before they allowed him to teach. he will even fail you just because he needs to fail 90% of the class

The worst professor I have ever taken...Try to understand what he wants in his ridiculous 'group-work'. I wouldn't have an issue with him if he put in 1/2 the effort he expected from his students. The guy is just plain lazy and lacks enthusiasm.

In order to pass the class, you have to walk, eat, sleep, and talk about the material. I'm sure that's what he wants...it's absolutely unhealthy! The text doesn't help, his explanations are awful. Warning: your other classes will suffer!

Professor is VERY difficult. I'm still trying to figure out how I passed. Pace doesn't allow students to take this course with another professor. Heck, I would even commute to PLV to take this course, just to AVIOD HIM!

This professor is one of the worst here at Pace, next to the Pulverizer. He's a freak that need to wear a latex glove everytime he writes on the markerboard. His class is soooo hard that most people have to take it again. Avoid professor like the plague.

He is the worst teacher in history. All he does if give work as if that is the only class you take for the semester. Never take this course with him.

Explanations are 100% vague,and wrong.Students ended up helping him out.Since he is unavoidable to cs students..when its over get down on your knees,thank god,and laugh at those who'll take him next.you'll never have to see him again.The book sucks but is your only real source of knowledge,HE is NOT

Financial COMPUTING class...all the class he talks about group work and creativity! Very boring, doesn't know programming, and wastes your time. Whenever asked a direct question, never gives a direct answer. Group work is the key.

I am not sure how this man became a professor. While he might not be a monster, he clearly did not have any part in making the syllabus of this class, and i would not be surprised if he had even looked it over before the start of the class. He has no answers for any question you might ask. He might be thought of more as a babysitter than aprofessor

He was not very difficult if you read the textbook. His lectures are difficult to understand and not interesting. His answers to questions seemed vague and lacking in clarity. Easy but annoying - make sure you depend on the textbook, not his lectures.

HE IS TERRIBLE! He does not teach you anything, he talks about the material but doesn't teach you how to do it! If you are not capable of learning from a textbook with no help from a teacher, you're screwed in his class. Knows what he's talking about but doesn't tell you. "Doesn't matter how well I teach, it's how well you learn." BS

He is annoying and incomprehensible BUT at the end of the semester he becomes a total push over. Easy A, I know nothing of computers and didn't learn anything but still got an A-. Just make sure you go to his office at least once during the semester!

It is not about the computer science project. It is only about the business plan and financial plan. I didn't learn anything new about how to build a perfect project.

Worst professor ever. No feedback missed or was late to 42% off classes fell asleep during presentation. Failed to post final online properly and made student attend final after term ended. Lectures a about being an adult and is lazy himself. No control over class room.

Ridiculously awful

Really a terrible Prof. If you just want a grade, it's fine. If you want to learn, just skip this Prof. He has insufficient knowledge. Once I ask the question of the assignment which is from the textbook. He didn't know the answer!!! And said he need to search the internet. Even with the help of Google, he still can't answer the question.

No grading rubric. One of my teammate received 18 on midterm which was significantly lower than mine. His grade was only half letter grade lower than me. I asked him to show me a breakdown of my grade. He didn't show it to me, because there is none!

One of my friends took his class in the middle of the term,knew nothing,took my help to complete his assignments and guess what,he got a grade above me,according to our great professor's grading system simply awful and waste of money and time.

Just about everyone was on their laptop doing something else, and you should too because it's almost a waste of time trying to actually follow his lesson. You won't learn much, but your grade will be fine, except there's a lot of BSing involved. Preaches teamwork too much. Only teacher for the mandatory CS232 unfortunately, but avoid if you can.

Worst professor I've ever taken. Doesn't teach anything. Midterms don't make sense, and grades it on clearly you've written your answer. Takes points away even if your answer is right because it's not written clearly. Don't take this guy

Seidenberg's worst professor! Teaches nothing about Computer Science! Very condescending and only respects you if you agree with his vague lectures. You will learn nothing and it's not his fault, even if a huge portion of the class drops out (and THEY DID!). If you take his class and suffer despite heeding this warning, you deserve it. Just saying

The homework is essentially to teach yourself using the textbook. The lectures are made more complex than they have to be with and example problems are not properly explained. He did not explain the criteria of what he expects from the class and seems to grade based on an unknown rubric. Very difficult to get answers if you don't understand.

He is the worst professor anyone could ever have. His teaching is practically you teaching yourself. Every single class, you'll find him reading off of ppt he found online and when he teaches without them, he contradicts both the textbook and the ppt. He will never help you after class as he says "I don't do private tutoring so don't ask me".

He's condescending to his students; unfair grader. No grading rubric. Near the semester's end, gives excessive work; your other classes will suffer. Won't explain anything in class & only reads off plagiarized material. If you don't understand, he refuses to answer questions and tells you to pay attention. That does nothing! Teach yourself instead.

Okay so he himself as a human being is not that bad, he's nice. His teaching style is the worst! He reads powerpoints for nearly 2 hours, like word for word, and not made by him. You can't take notes because he reads them so fast. Only midterm and final. Hw is a headache: notes on chapter with very picky criteria. Textbook is another pain Good luck

Doesn't have a set grading system. Has to follow the textbook way of learning so you can't learn it your own way. Reads PPT off of slides word to word based from his complicated textbook. Dismisses questions or gives a vague answer. You honestly will do better self-teaching yourself the subject from the textbook than learning from him.

Copied his curriculum from the web. He READS it but doesn't teach it. If you ask him a question, he says: "Pay attention unless you want to repeat the course". Not supportive and tries to bend University rules to him. Doesn't post grades. Gives HW subjects before they're "taught". Assigned 2 chapters and a project both before AND after the midterm.

He has good intentions but does not meet them. The lectures are just copied from the textbook verbatim. Homework is expected to be perfectly done and it's how you learn from this class. The midterm was fairly made but poorly graded, the finals were fairly graded but heavily weighted (only <10 questions).

Guys, please, please! Do NOT take Joseph, he is literally the worst professor I have ever encountered in my college career. He assigns way too much work for a simple introductory course, and isn't even clear about which assignments are due when. Lectures are long and boring, he just reads the slides verbatim. You're better off learning on YouTube.

If you are unfortunate enough to have Joseph as a teacher, treat his class like an online class. Do not expect him to be any more help than detailing the assignments he expects from you, and even that he is unclear on. His lectures are close to unbearable, and he is rude. The zyBooks textbook helps a lot, so do the notes and homework and youre good

I took Joseph a few semesters ago, dropped his class and am now retaking CS113. Just came back and wanted to say I still have a strong hatred for this man. DO NO TAKE HIM!

I didn't take a course from him but had to interact with regarding some post graduation papers for work. He gave me a hard time for no reason necessary.

The subject of the course is great, but the class itself with Joseph teaching...terrible. Avoid him at all costs. I was lucky to get an A in his class. He was very picky with the assignments he wanted us to hand in without being clear in the beginning of exactly what he wanted. Be prepared for midterm and final exams. They can be tough.
