Made a very difficult course very understandable and easy. I'm pretty weak in the math area and walked away with a B. Gives extra help whenever you need it and is a great professor, highly recommended!

Easy, seems tough in the beginning but stick it out cause u'll realize if ur not lazy, do the essays, sound smart, have good grammar and do ur studying u'll do good. he gives curves, alot to study (only gave 2 tests but 2 page essay every week) but if u do ur readings and study u'll do fine.hes a good teacher
lets put it this way i took pre calc and passed with an A and took his stupid class and only got a C he is a terrible teacher and you should not take his class.
Dr. Napoli, is an excellent and caring professor. You will work hard and learn an a lot. If your interested in learning take his class, if your just interested in easy credit without working for it, take someone else.
This is an online class and if you can self teach, you'll do great, otherwise move on. He is not very attentive and doesn't answer questions right away and most times not at all.He is moody and indecisive. I'm not impressed. If you struggle in math find a teacher who teaches and explains...he does not.
Hard subject as it is, but this teacher made it unbearable! I'm an A-B student and have no problem with a lot of work that is REASONABLE,but the workload for this class was excessive. He states that you should put in 10 hrs or so a week, I think I put in close to 15 per wk . Way too much HW,if you are a full time student,don't take him online.

This does not keep up with the class. He grades exams 1month later. He does provide clear instructions but does not provide clear explanation of his gradings. I would not recommend taking his class. It was an awful experience.
I actually did not have a huge problem with the online class until I got to one issue where I was confused and it was hard for me to understand, and he was unable to explain online how to do it. You must dedicate alot of hrs a week to the class, but in the end you alway have open book so...
I took his online intro to psych class. It is very hard. He expects a three page paper every week. The essay questions have very little to do with the textbook reading. They actually require alot of research. The E-Textbook was incomprehensable at times. If he is your only class he is o.k. but, never take his class with a full load.
Professor Napoli is an excellent and caring teacher. You'll have to work hard for your grade, but if you are willing to meet him 1/2 way he'll go out of his way to help you understand the material.

I'll give it to him that he knows the topic he's teaching very well, but this man is incredibly rude. I've never rated a professor before, but I felt it necessary for this instructor. I've seen him talk down to/berate a few students, in front of the class, who ended up dropping out of the class because of him. Apparently mistakes aren't allowed.
took an online psych class. He wants two 3 page papers a week. If you like to write, its a great class. He can be rude at times, but I found him humorous as well.
He is really nice. You must do the homework and buy the text book because the homework is in it. The first test was take home. Make sure you ask him questions when you are confused.
I took this class on line. It was pretty easy. You definitely need the book, which is a CD. I learned a lot from the book since you have to do a 3 page essay everyweek. Dr. Napoli was helpful in you needed anything. He gives you everything you will be doing during the whole course in an outline. I would definitely take another class with him.
Took this class online too much material class requires 10 to 15 hours material. The hw was very long 5 to 7 pages was due twice a week. Prof. was always rude and when you try to make any arrengents he said "I can't make private deals with students" Do not take this class unless you love math and are good at it!!!
Class is difficult and there is a lot of homework. Barely used the textbook. If you go to his office for help, he will go out of his was to make you understand it. Take home tests. Wanted to drop the class midway and ended up with an A.
I had Dr. Napoli for two Online courses and it was a great experience. You definately need the book and certainly need to attend! Alot of papers need to be written for the online courses but its manageable and the topics are interesting. Got an A in both classes but I did do all my assignments and never had an absence. Take him you wont regret it!!
5 took his online Psychology course. This professor is a very good professor, even though he makes his quiz a little complicated, but otherwise he is a very nice professor.
Very good professor. At first it may seem like a very difficult and tedious class it all falls into place mid semester. Text required, read and do well on your online quizzes and you will do just fine. One of my favorite teachers. I will take another one of his classes.
Professor Napoli is straight forward with what he expects from you. The textbook will pretty much give you all the info you need to pass the class. You need to stay on top of the due dates but otherwise, I found it to be an easy class Grades were based on 16 weekly quizzes.
I never got to meet my professor. The only draw back to taking this class. There is a lot of reading, and a lot of quiz taking, however he writing component is easy and I enjoyed it very much. Dr. N. called me when he saw that I needed to get a quiz in on time, he was kind, and very nice, and has a great voice, hence the hot rating. Take the class!
Do not take it you can't learn on own. Only goes through a couple slides then expects to take quiz with no problems. No help always rude
Dr. Napoli told my class that we did not need to buy the textbook and would be able to download it online. I was very excited to hear this because the textbook can only be bought from the school and is $170. First class he tells us to take out our textbooks and yells at a student who tried to take out his tablet. Not a good start.
Social psych online. The entire class was based on a weekly three-page summary of the chapters. No tests, no instruction, no nothing. Professor doesn't TEACH anything, doesn't even write tests. Weekly attendance is taken by participating in group "discussions" with student-authored questions. Teacher doesn't produce content, must be nice paycheck.
I'm a psychology major and after taking his class, I reconsidered that. He didn't help me at all with my term paper even after asking multiple times. His online quizzes were pretty easy(which is most of your grade) but I'm just not a fan of his personality and demeanor. I wouldn't reccomend taking a class with him
I've taken difficult classes before and I was expecting the class I took with him to be the same and although it was difficult Dr. Napoli went out of his way to ensure that each student knew the material. He embodies the definition of a true scholarly practitioner, very knowledgeable, honestly the best professor I've had throughout my academia...
Assigns a three page essay every week with no flexibility on the due date. Leaves unpleasant feedback on the mandatory weekly discussion posts. No actual teaching or expounding on the material, just read the chapter and do the essay. As much as I love psychology, this was my least favorite course this semester.
I love psychology and was looking fwd to taking this course but taking it with Prof. Napoli was a horrible and dreadful experience. His lectures were long and extremely boring. I went to him for help on the research paper and he was very rude and unhelpful. Also, he has a bad habit of favoring students in the class that are friends with his kids.
People are out of their minds if they think this class is hard. Show up. Kinda pay attention. Take your time on the quizzes. Write the EASIEST term paper ever. Prof Nap has always offered help, before and after class. Is lecture a bit boring? Of course. It's gonna be. Just do the work, and you'll get a decent grade.

Has a sense of humor but can be harsh a lot. If you don't understand something or get something wrong he gets angry. You have to work hard for it and never miss a class. Pay attention. Read the text book.
If you want to slack off, don't take this class. But it makes it interesting by showing you what you could do in real life with the material. He gives you the notes, but don't expect more help then that. The departmental final is a walk in the park compared to the class work. He practically gives you the final. Pay attention & you will be fine.
He has a sense of humor but pay hard attention in the class. Participation is key. He may seem mean but he's not the meanest professor in the world. As long as you meet him halfway, he will help. Do your homework and as long as you follow the rules and listen to him. You will be fine. I ended up an A!
Cares about his students. Makes statistics so easy and fun to learn. Awesome professor.

I took both Statistics and honors psychology with him, and I enjoyed both. He makes lectures fun, especially psychology. His quizzes are not hard, but you need to read the textbook. He cares a lot for his students, wants all of them to be successful. One of the best professors in Suffolk. Definitely take him!!
The easiest class ever - online psychology class. Clear grading criterias and expectations. Easy A. I wish all Professors were like this.
Took him for psych 101, health psychology, and next semester taking him for statistics. If you put in effort and at least try you'll get a good grade. 101 had online quizzes, a research paper, and final. If you handed in the paper on time and its decent you get an A. Health psych is online quizzes and that is it. Great professor. Easy A.
Very good professor. Goes over text book material very well, goes at a good pace, gives reasonable quizzes based on the material, respects all students, class requirements are clearly defined. Highly recommended!

Also he gives no flexbility on the term paper and when I tried to talk to him during his office hours he was rude and inconsiderate.
It was my easiest class, all you have to do is read one chapter per week, take a 20 question quiz per week and get your A :) The Professor is amazing, gives lots of time for quizes and makes it a stres-free class. I would recommend him to anyone.
A good guy and a good class. Very articulate, quizzes aren't hard straight from the text, and his lectures are humorous and fulfilling. Highly recommended!
He is not good at communication and has a God complex. Will talk down to student and assume everyone is on his level. Appears he doesn't read all post accurately and tries to call you out on it to embarrass you in front of others. He is rude and condescending at it's best. Would not recommend!!! Give him a D- if I could!!!
Nice guy, and very willing to help. His teaching style is a little dry, and he likes to talk, but the class is very easy. I didnt take notes once and I got an A. Just ace 10 open book quizzes and youll get an A. I do recommend you drink a Red Bull before class, because class goes slowly.
Took his statistics class. Gets angry and frustrated when someone doesn't understand something. I wouldn't recommend him at all, although gives a lot of extra credit, but also gets angry when a few people don't do it. He encourages to ask questions but when you aren't understanding something he won't explain it, not even at his office hours.

All you need to do is online quizes by the due date which obviously is easy to just copy paste the questions on google so you will recieve atleast a 90 on all those. Then you have a research paper easy and your final thats it. Didnt even do good on the final but did great on everything else so I still got an A just do the work youll get an A.

Best professor I've ever had. Talks a lot, but it's usually very funny or entertaining. No pop quizzes or sudden assignments. All quizzes are online with a syllabus no one could misunderstand. All the quizzes are open book, very easy, and word-for-word from the textbook. I just finished a Health Psych class with him too it was just as easy and fun!

weekly quizzes takes you a while but its easy since everythings in the textbook. pretty calm professor but can be really difficult to communicate with. he gets off topic very very easily during lectures which makes you question what class you're in sometimes. no exams in class minus the final exam. overall, easy a.
Super easy to get an A in this class, took him during a summer semester - 14 quizzes that we could take whenever we wanted but each one had its own deadline (we could basically take them all at once if we wanted to and BAM no more work for the semester) 1 paper, lengthy but easy when the course required literally nothing else. no discussions to do.
Took his online class and all we had due all semester was one 3 page paper per week and he graded extremely leniently. No discussions or tests what so ever just 12 papers so super manageable.
Took his online class and I have to say, the class was perfect. He doesn't require you to log on x amount of times per week and respond to others posts or do a bunch of assignments with different instructions that leaves room for error. It's literally just 12 essays and that's it. Nothing less nothing more. Wish more online classes did this!
No tests, no discussions, no quizzes. Only 12 essays to write, each one due the week after the previous on Mondays at 9:30AM. Essays aren't even read the way they should. So long as they are 3 pages, 1000 words, and pertain to the prompt of your choice, you can reword the textbook and get a 100 every single week
Do NOT take this professor for statistics. Math is difficult for many to begin with, but he moves quickly, gets genuinely angry if someone doesn't understand the topic or what he's explaining and makes them feel bad for it. I was too scared to even ask a question. I wish I had dropped this class immediately.
The Textbook would be your best way to understand the class better , teaches really fast and DO NOT come in late . You better have windows laptop with excel and a TI-30Xa calculator or he'll have a mini rant about it . DO NOT make him mad .
The worst professor ever. The reason I don't go to the riverhead campus anymore. The professors are bad and he is a prime example. He talked horribly about people who have depression and said that they "are a huge burden to everyone they meet" UNPROFESSIONAL. That's not how you run a psych class. Had to give 1 star because 0 wasn't an option.
I would not take him for stats. He is TERRIBLY RUDE, passive aggressive, condescending, and elitist. He has tantrums and talks badly about students and the culture at the university. Generally just a really negative experience. Quite a bully. It is a shame, as he has a real opportunity to esteem folks and give CONSTRUCTIVE feedback.
Excellent online class for self-starters. The assignments allow students to absorb and conceptualize the course material, which can apply to other subjects and life situations. Dr. Napoli also has a rapid response time for students who have questions.
Very disrespectful and strict. He is a bully and does not deserve teaching. I am sorry I waited too long to drop his class. He is a horrible teacher, goes way too fast and gets mad if you don't ask questions. But then he freaks out and says "I'm not answering that" if you ask a question that he doesn't like. Would never recommend him.
Our class was only graded on 14 chapter quizzes. This was a blessing considering the entire semester ended up being put online. He was a little difficult to get in contact with and did not update his syllabus to reflect we wouldn't have a paper. Students were constantly confused if we had a paper or not. Quizzes were relatively easy if you read.
Easy class. Graded by weekly quizzes. You can choose to retain the information or simply skim through to get good grades on these. Basically, what you get from the course is up to you! With that being said, Professor Napoli was extremely responsive via email and clearly outlines the little that is necessary to succeed.
Extremely easy class, it truly does not get easier than this. You only get graded on 14 quizzes. That's it. No tests, no papers just the quizzes. And the answers from the quizzes are easily found in the textbook. Plus you're given plenty of time to take them.
Easiest course I've ever taken in my college career. If you need to take a psychology class, definitely take it online with this Professor. 20 question multiple choice chapter quizzes weekly, he gives more than enough time and you can complete the quizzes as early as you want as long as its before the due date/time.
Easy class to take, but I feel like I would've learned better if he posted weekly videos, quick overviews of each chapter like my other professors did. I feel like I was able to learn better that way. I was looking forward to learning from him but all I had was a textbook and written notes to go off of. I pretty much taught myself.
Hard to contact outside of class and incredibly rude when he finally does respond. Very test/quiz heavy class and he's an extremely tough grader.
Not bad he was just very plain and boring in the class. Just read off of a PowerPoint every class if you have questions he was usually fast to respond to but you need to let him know what class you are in or he will not respond. Grading was not bad there was 10 test and a paper as long as you read the textbook you will do fine
You're basically not even taking a class if you sign up with Professor Napoli. He offloads the entire course onto some third party that had to be paid for. Essentially the entire course isn't even really taught by Professor Napoli its all just online textbook work. If you care about education don't take this guy if you want an easy A he's your man
The issue is that he is not clear with his instructions at all. And when you ask him a question he rarely gives a direct answer.
He is very short when responding to emails and does not help learn the material very much. He provides a power point and tells you go for it. This class is 14 quizzes(quizlet will be your friend), and a research paper. No other work. I used a professor on YouTube's lectures to help me learn the material.

Worst Psych Professor EVER
His class was to easy. You could easily look up the answers when it comes to the online quizzes. I feel like most of the stuff he says is unneeded and talks about his personal life a lot instead of just getting to the lecture. Like I do get that he wants to talk about his personal life essentially sometimes I do but not 15 minutes about it.
Professor Napoli has the tendency to bring up touchy subjects and this heavily contributes to the quality of the lecture. Avoid his course if possible.
Take this class online!!! Weekly quizzes- you get 2 hours! Answers in textbook/quizlet. Weekly definitions posted on discussion board- 50 words or less. Research paper due end of semester. Done in sections , clear directions, provides a sample . Easy A. No communication needed with professor.
easy tests with long timeframes seemed pretty easygoing. Didn't get to communicate much as it was all online, but he seemed nice. Definitely recommend his class, it was pretty easy. I also loved that I got to pick my own topic for my research paper, as it made writing it a lot easier and more interesting. Would definitely take his class again.
This class was easy I did buy the textbook but did not open it once. Grade book is set for the semester so make sure you do well on your weekly chapter quiz. The quizzes for the semester are from day one. All the question are searchable. She give 1 term paper she give a few topic to choose from MLA format. I wish all online teacher was like this.

Very easy A. I haven't had to get in touch with him so idk what he's like but I'm currently taking a second psych class of his & the only assignments we have are a 25-question quiz due weekly & all of the answers are on quizlet. that's it lol. the first class I took required that & a 50-word discussion weekly defining a topic & 1 research paper.
Professor is super intelligent and a nice guy. However, lectures were super boring and he tends to go on tangents a lot. There was a chapter quiz every week or so and one super easy research paper. He doesn't accept late assignments. Easy A as long as you hand in the assignments on time.
The class structure of the class is straight forward from the 1st day we have about 12 exam for the entire semester, once is due every week. I did them 2 at a time. This professor utilize test bank. I got the book never used it once. Make sure you do well on the exam there's no extra credit in my opinion this class is an easy A
Class itself was easy, weekly textbook-based quizzes and a final paper. Just a nasty guy, constantly talks ab topics that have nothing to do with psych, singles people out, goes on tangents during lectures and talks in circles.
As a single mom going back to school this professor made it easy for me because the tests were all open and you went at your own pace
Straight forward test on chapter notes. One paper that if you hand in early he could give feedback if you want to redo it for a better grade. Would take again. I liked the class and got a lot out of it
The class itself feels pretty pointless. Very long, irrelevant and boring lectures. He tends to have favorite students. As far as the class goes, he only requires one easy research paper and gives you a lot of time on it as well as a guide to follow. Quizzes are online & open book, but put reminders on your phone of the due dates so you don't miss.
Dr. Napoli is amazing! He wants you to succeed but you have to be willing to put in the effort! He offers extra credit and makes his class very manageable to juggle with other, more demanding courses. This was an awesome class and I'm so glad I took it with Dr. Napoli
