A proud patriot that has fallen for the Anti-China propaganda. His discussions are just long tangents of nonsensical Anti-China propaganda and his opinions. Often quotes Joe Rogan or Pres. Donald J. Trump (take that as you will). His facts are often times outdated. He needs to do more critical research than just listening to a podcast. Do not take.

Professor Olah is a really nice person and an Okay teacher. I don't understand the political comments on his reviews, I do not see that from him. However, he does not really teach you how to write and his grading is not very helpful for improvement. I would take him again simply for him not for what he is teaching. He can make inappropriate jokes.

You don't see your grade and you don't really get taught about writing much or how to write. Just talks a lot and makes me feel weird. Some inappropriate stuff and and tries to be cool

Do NOT take this professor, he was a waste of time. Overall a nice guy but he just yaps abt insignificant things. I learned absolutely nothing in his class. It was easy and light but my main reason for giving him a 1 is because he would make very inappropriate comments in almost every class making everyone uncomfortable. Hated Mon/Wed bc of him.

Did not really teach. Ranted about what he wanted, didn't really learn at all. Never put anything in cavas. Wanted essays in a specific way, but never really taught how. Also kind of a creep.

Attendance isn't graded, but you get info for tests. You need a physical copy of the book or print pages from the online version. Assignments are chapter summaries, due next class, and must be printed. He's lenient with deadlines; I turned in late work and still got credit. I didn't learn much; he talked about the chapter or went off-topic.

He simply just shouldn't be a professor. Its not that he was a bad person hes just not fit to teach, all he would do was talking about random

unfortunately vro teaches more about ai and debt in america than the actual book, but uses ai to make test so you have to read it at home. lowkey kind creepy and makes weird comments/jokes because he thinks he's relating to us about stuff but just comes off as a pedo. good luck if you chose him.

yaps during the entire class about things that don't relate to the class. nice and can be funny. I rarely went to class because it was a waste of time and passed with a B. fair grader BUT grading criteria for essays were unclear and he always had something to nitpick on student essays. easy class. def a class that could be taken online

He's a chill dude but just yaps during class. Thought classes were boring but he doesn't give that many assignments. He means the best for his students but just gets on tangents about science stuff. He's not strict and understands young people, but sometimes talks about funky and inappropriate things. Take him if you have to cause he's not that bad

I had to take his class for credit and it was a breeze. He yaps a lot so it passes time a lot and we barely had work I don't even remember how much since it was so little. He wants you to buy his book since it's "required" but I passed without it. All the assignments and quizzes were easy. Def recommend if you need to take him just for credits.

Don't think I learned anything in this course. Read a lot about historical scientists & doctors, the exams would consist of writing about them. Was easy but it was mostly learned on our own. During lectures he rambled on stuff irrelevant to the reading & encouraged use of AI. The grades on canvas on inaccurate,so you'd have to ask him for ur grade.

Professor Olah likes to talk about science a lot, and claims that his class is just for credit, but simultaneously gives very long assignments and constant tests that in general feels more like an outburst of his passion onto the class than a course outright.

never learned anything in the class because he would talk about how much he loves AI and other unrelated subjects. had quizzes almost every class and three essays but allows rewrites at the end of semester. he never taught how to write the papers directly. also never responds to emails.
